This has been on my bucket list for a long time. I am so happy I finally went!!! All the pasta my girlfriends tried were incredible. My own with the duck was my fave.

Tortello is another spot that's been on my list for way too long. This casual spot offers freshly made pasta in house. They don't take reservations so it can get quite busy inside. You order at the counter and then find a table. This place is a great choice for a date or just a casual lunch or dinner. Inside of the restaurant is very cute. They offer pasta making sessions in the front of the restaurant. They have their products for sale as well as the fresh pasta on display. I wanted to get something I haven't tried before so I ordered the Chiusoni alla Gallurese. The saffron is what really makes this dish. Very very delicious! And the pasta was the perfect al dente.

Tortello is a place I take people when they visit and 10/10 times they leave impressed. The pasta is fresh and the menu is simple but delicious. My only complain is the wait mixed with the no reservation situation. You have to put down tour name on the waitlist and its always a 45 min wait. They did just open a bar upstairs to facilitate the wait- but if the world was perfect- i would rather have a reservation and not wait.

I saw this restaurant on the Food Network and thought the Chef was incredible so I have been following them on social media. I wanted to try this out with my family before I registered for the pop up event this coming Tuesday and this place is as good as hyped!!!! Great vibe. Superior service. The food is great.

Dare I say, some of the most delicious handmade pasta in Chicago? The line looks intimidating but it goes quickly, but the wait at your table takes a bit too. In total we waits about an hour for our food to arrive on a Friday early dinner (20 min in line and 40 min at the table). The system is you wait in line to order at the counter and then a staff member will get you to an open table (indoor or outdoor). The outdoor patio space they created is quite nice too - a smidge cramped but it works. It's more casual, but the quality is upscale and the price is very reasonable. The staff were pretty friendly and efficient too! We started with the espresso martinis which are more sweet and creamy than spirit-forward, but was tasty. For the pastas - all were cooked perfectly, that exact soft/al dente middle spot. My rankings include: 1. Signature Tortelli di Burrata 2. Squid ink bucatini with prawns 3. Paccheri all' Amatriciana 4. Cavatelli al Pesto I think the menu changes seasonally, so looking forward to coming back!

I came here on a Friday around 12:30pm. We could not make a reservation and it was an order at the counter service. I went with my partner, overall good pasta, al dente of course. We started with the focaccia and ricotta with honey. It was sweet but a delicious combination. I also got a glass of wine but it wasn't given to me so I had to ask for it from the person passing the food / expediting. I got the Aglio, olio e peperoncino, it had chilis and cheese with olive oil. It was good, simple but good. My partner got the Cacio e Pepe which he says was tasty and better than most food on Division. He also got a macchiato which he also had to ask for because it was not delivered. It's pretty good pasta.

Tortello is a great local and chef driven restaurant in Wicker Park. They have great Italian ingredients and you can watch authentic pasta being made. All various different kinds and shapes of pasta. Offering daily pastas as well. A great patio setup for those great weather days in Chicago. Whether day or night you will be amazed by the quality of pasta that is served here.

The food was very sub par at best, one of the dishes tasted like a bad lomein, the pancetta was burnt and the food was luke warm, i dont mind paying for good food, but this was not good and very pricy. The person that took our order was yawning and acted like he really didnt care about our experience here, I would not recommend this place

Warm familial atmosphere, fresh pasta, deep flavors, and an adorable storefront where people take parta making classes. There's a light casual feel because you order at the counter, but table service is still on point and prices match the white table clothes. I've walked past many times wanting to stop for dinner but they're often packed. It's first come first serve. So we lucked out with an impromptu dinner on a cold rainy evening. The heaters were on in their outdoor patio so we sat outside which can be quite romantic if you don't mind the squeeze. I most enjoyed the seasonal duck pasta (Pappardelle all'Anatra) and the focaccia with ricotta and honey; although their classic Tagliattelle Tina (popular dish denoted with a heart on the menu) was hearty and rich. Truth be told, we selected our dishes based on what we could not so easily recreate at home. And we were not disappointed!

Fast service but unfortunately was disappointed in my pasta. I got the pomodoro and while the pasta was fresh and a great texture, the sauce was incredibly thick and sweet. Definitely needed to be thinned out and needed way more spices.

Was the food good? Yes, yes it was. This place makes their pasta from scratch and that's always a great thing. However, the fact that it was an order at the register spot but still cost what it did, not to mention the slightly curt behavior of the cashier when I was, admittedly, asking for suggestions for my order, made this place lose it's shine for me. Cool neighborhood and the food was really good also, but it's a one and done for me.

I've wanted to try more Italian restaurants around Chicago, but so many are open for dinner only, and I'm usually around the city in the early afternoon. Tortello is open by noon on most days, so this makes them a more amenable option. Their more casual dining approach where you order at the counter keeps this a more simple experience. The prices are not as cheap as you would expect for this type of dining and somewhat small portion sizes, but the flavor was top notch. Our first time dining there, we were asked to move over to a smaller table to leave room for any potentially larger parties. Not a problem, but the tables are all small and able to be configured into a 2- or 4-seater easily, so they could've just scooted the table over and made space. That larger party never came, and we were moved to a seat where the radiator dripped on me. Unideal.

Hands down some of the best pasta in Chicago. I always get some extra to go and am waaay full after the meal. Bring friends who are out of town here or heck just come out with your locals. Worth the $$ for sure. Try the special!

Although I did think the chef in charge was very knowledgeable, and the meals did turn out fabulous, I was a little disappointed with the class structure for a few reasons. 1. For the price of this class, I assumed that we would all be individually learning to cook each component - that was not the case as we were put together into teams of four where we divided responsibilities. So not all building block skills were able to be practiced by all team members. I had chosen this class because I wanted to learn these building block skill hands-on. However, if you're looking to meet new friends this may just be the spot for you! 2. Like I mentioned, the meal we made was super delicious. But in my opinion, it's creativeness / the fact that it wasn't more simple skipped over some of the true basic skills needed in everyday kitchen use. For example, I wish we had learned more about pan use / heating up / etc. And because we had so many components to the meals, some of the lessons felt kind of rushed where we weren't necessarily able to dive deeper into those questions since there were so many people per amount of chef / helpers I do think that this is a great org, but perhaps I would have felt more bang for buck in a more specified topic / shorter class
