This place slaps. Super fun environment with cool decorations and an awesome outdoor bar area. Chips and guac were fresh and so good. Tacos are really really good and service was great. Highly recommend for a good time!

I had the pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream, bacon on the side. Also had a painkiller drink. Everything was delicious. Waitress was super friendly and helpful and attentive. The view of the ocean was amazing, and really made breakfast a great experience.

Cheers to great food, company and SERVICE!! #lawrence

Lawrence was the absolute Best! He made our experience exactly what we needed while in town for a law conference. We are trying to come back just because his service was so amazing. Thank you for a great time and the laughs regarding the lemon drop .

Great atmosphere over looking the ocean . The Shrimp Crab Florentine was spot on. Eggs cooked perfectly , stuffed with lots of shrimp. Perfect blend of crab and Hollandaise sauce . Everybody loved the cheese grits. Great staff. Btw the Bloody Mary's were excellent

The service was unbelievably great. The staff were very friendly and our waitress was very polite. The food came out fast and was very good. The atmosphere was very nice with the outside view of the beach. It's definitely a very nice place to come and enjoy the view.

After a nice early AM beach walk with friends, we dropped in here for a beverage and a bite of breakfast. Took advantage of the perfect weather and a table on the outdoor covered deck to enjoy the breeze and the ocean view. With plenty of great choices on the menu, we selected the huevos rancheros (wife) and a bowl of classic shrimp and grits (me). Both were expertly prepared with generous portions and super tasty. Big salute to the chef for masterful presentation and plating of both dishes. We first eat with our eyes, after all. I also enjoyed a refreshing and delightful Bloody Mary cocktail as a starter. Can't wait to come back!

Fun breakfast spot overlooking the beach. Lots of good breakfast options. We had the crab Eggs Benedict, which were great. My daughter and her friend had the veggie omelette and the pancakes - both were excellent. They make some great Bloody Mary's as well - Jay the bartender is super nice. Good service overall though can get pretty busy for breakfast.

I decided to bring my girlfriend out to Amelia beach and we stumbled on Tortugs Jacks for a good ole breakfast meal...what a great place to dine at, the restaurant sits right on the beach and it has some of the most amazing views of the beach, the service, and food were excellent, they give you a lot of food here, definitely worth coming here to eat and enjoy the beach....

Breakfast on the balcony is super pretty! Food was good and quick! Our server was super nice too.

Not sure how one finds out what the restaurant personnel will be before coming...but that was our situation today. We have eaten here before, upstairs, on the beach, creative menu, nice staff...this time very limited menu (apparently chef wasn't there so very basic menu eggs menu but had shrimp and grits, fried pork chops for breakfast...unusual). We have had seafood eggs Benedict that was real good. Today not so much! Our server was young and sweet and it certainly wasn't her fault...everyone was just trying to roll with the punches....I just wish I had known before we came.

This was not your average queso as it was not runny. In fact it had a long cheese pull because it was real Mexican cheese (not the fake stuff)! We had to help each other break away from the queso lol! I recently attended a Yelp event and could not stop thinking about the goat barbacoa tacos. Yes I said goat. It was evident they marinated the goat and cooked it perfectly as it is so tender and juicy! I also enjoyed a slice of a quesadilla. But I think the menu item that stole the show was my friends chipotle adobo, which was a half chiken. The chicken was succulent and savory! And the roasted brussel sprouts that came with it were so good! I ordered my favorite cocktail, the blood orange margarita, which I also sampled at the Yelp event. I look forward to going back and ordering new menu items as I want to try everything eventually;)

By the time we ordered the small plates and shortly after its arrival I was convinced we'd come back. Delicious! Flavorful, decadent and very fulfilling! From the Queso completo, Mexican street corn and the carnitas tamale rojo that was perfectly paired with a pickled flavored jalapeño made the dish alive and tapping with flavor dancing on the taste buds. I asked the server to surprise me between three dishes I couldn't decide from. Dom, you're amazing; kind, courteous and you really know how to make an everlasting impression so effortlessly. The star of the show was the whole grilled yellowtail chef's special with a tamarind ponzu sauce that he chose for me! What a way to wow your guest and make them feel safe with trusting the palette of the family that's working together. I have to say this dish was AMAZING, Craig (The Chef) came to greet us in the midst of our dinner, that was a first! Hands down best yellowtail. My bf doesn't even like fish and he couldn't stop from eating it and wished he'd ordered the special. It was a nice, cozy and modern space and I love the ambiance! Can't wait to come back! Thanks again Dom & Craig!!

4.5 stars would be most accurate. Located in the heart of Jacksonville Beach, this fancy restaurant…read moreserves Oaxaca food from Mexico for both dinner and brunch. I had my first meal there when I visited Jacksonville Beach recently. Got the grilled bone-in yellow snapper, which was a daily special. Fresh, meaty, smoky. It was served with mixed greens and apple salad, some grilled green onions and freshly made corn tortillas. All paired well with the fish. The tortillas were about 0.75oz per piece. Moreover, the dish was served on a HUGE cutting board! I also ordered a side of Spanish rice, but surprisingly the manager took it off from my bill, saying that "[he was] glad that I enjoyed the meal so much"! The first meal was indeed impressive; it had been a while since I had had such Mexican food last time. So I decided to give it another try the next evening. Ordered the Carne Asada (asked for rare) and sub the beans with extra tortillas (to avoid high GI food). But the steak was disappointing: the first time it was served ~medium-well. The second time it was ~medium-rare so I did not complain twice. However, it was quite chewy. One reason was that, as you can see from my picture, the meat was not rest long enough before it was sliced and served. Service was good, friendly and quick. The restuarant was a bit noisy but I enjoyed the energy. Moreover, there were lots of beautiful decors and murals. I really like the tiger painted on the wall of their main dining area. So in short, I would recommend this restaurant if you like Mexican food. I would recommend the seafood and slowly-cooked stuff, like their short rib and pork shank. And I will dine in again the next time I visit Jacksonville Beach.

But my party and I were turned off by the fact that they let a group of people bring a puppy inside the restaurant. The puppy was eating bits of food off the floor and jumping on servers and food runners, the kids would pick up the dog and put it near the table so I hope tables are deeply sanitized. Not sure they'd have the same energy if I came in with my 70lb Doberman... Dog was not a service animal and it just really wasn't a great first impression of this place, which is unfortunate because servers were nice, the food was good and decently priced, and it was decorated nicely. Unfortunately I am unsure how I feel because this is unsanitary, and I am a dog owner myself. Please just don't do this. You never know who is watching or in your restaurant.
