Then, after I moved out, they kept my entire security deposit and still billed me for additional charges. It felt like no matter how careful I was, there was no realistic chance of getting my deposit back. If you decide to rent here, protect yourself. Take detailed photos and videos of every room when you move in and again when you move out, keep copies of all emails and notices, and request a pre-move-out inspection if one is available. You may need that documentation if there are questions about move-out charges. There are many other apartment communities that treat tenants more fairly. Based on my experience, I would not rent at Sherman Circle Apartments again and cannot recommend them to anyone looking for a place to live.

That was a plus since we did laundry weekly. We loved how clean the apartment building was both inside and outside. If announcements were made regarding construction or rules, it was communicated to us well via posts around the building and email. To my delight, Vanessa (the Building manager) told me that the one bedroom was available and that I could see it the same day. During my application process she went out of her way to meet me on her day off and get all my documentation approved. I had a small issue with my documents but she was able to get me approved! I love how CLEAN the building is! Vanessa has OCD so believe me, I am so thankful for that. It's quiet, clean, affordable, in a great neighborhood. Unfortunately, the place does get filled up fast. My husband and I moved into IMT 6500 on June 19th, excited to begin a new chapter together…read more Unfortunately, our experience has been incredibly disappointing from the very first day. On our first night, my car was towed from the parking lot next door. During our tour on May 29th, the leasing agent, told us that residents occasionally park in that lot. Based on that information, we believed it was acceptable. Having our car towed on move-in day was frustrating enough, but what was even more disappointing was management's unwillingness to advocate for us. Since IMT 6500 has a contractual relationship with the towing company, we simply asked that a manager contact them on our behalf. That request was refused. Once we got into our apartment, we discovered that the floors were extremely dirty. We had to mop the entire unit multiple times before we felt comfortable unpacking. The amount of dirt coming off the floors was unacceptable for a unit that was supposedly move-in ready. After cleaning, we ran the self-clean cycle on the in-unit washing machine, only to find large chunks of mold coming out. We repeated the cleaning cycle several more times with no improvement. Even the maintenance staff were visibly disturbed by what they saw. To their credit, they ultimately replaced the washer with one from an unoccupied unit, and we appreciated their responsiveness. Unfortunately, the issues didn't stop there. We've dealt with a bathroom door handle falling off, an oven light that doesn't work, a bedroom door that won't latch properly, and a bedroom electrical outlet that doesn't function. While each issue may seem minor on its own, together they paint a picture of poor quality control and inadequate preparation before new residents move in. Most recently, we had a package stolen from the mail room. Despite paying a monthly fee for parcel lockers, our package was accessible enough to be stolen. Management reviewed the surveillance footage and confirmed that an unidentified individual took it, but the only guidance we received was to file a police report. This left us questioning the property's security measures. If someone who doesn't live in the building can simply enter the mail room and steal packages, that's a serious concern. My husband and I are both college students who chose IMT 6500 because we were looking for a comfortable, secure place to begin this new chapter of our lives. Instead, we've spent our first few weeks dealing with preventable problems, poor communication, and a lack of accountability from management. I do want to acknowledge Chris on the maintenance team, who was professional and helpful whenever we had an issue. As well as Isabel who genuinely tried to assist us during the towing incident. Unfortunately, good staff cannot make up for the overall experience we've had so far. We sincerely hope management takes these concerns seriously, not only for us, but for future residents. A luxury apartment should provide a move-in experience that reflects the rent residents are paying, and unfortunately, that has not been our experience at IMT 6500.

Alright, I'm going to give one of the most honest reviews I've ever written…read more I've lived here for the past year, and overall, it has been the best apartment living experience I've had. The apartment has in-unit washer and dryer, central AC, good security, responsive maintenance, and all the amenities I was looking for. If you're searching for a quality apartment, I would absolutely recommend this place. In fact, I would have renewed my lease if I wasn't relocating for work. No apartment complex is perfect, so I'll mention a few areas that could be improved. None of these issues were deal-breakers for me, and they never significantly impacted my quality of life, but they are the reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. First, the back elevator that's primarily used for moving can be extremely slow and occasionally unreliable. When I first moved in, the elevator was having issues and was moving so slowly that my movers ended up charging me for additional time. Throughout the year, it also seemed to go down for maintenance every few months. Second, the AC setup in my bedroom wasn't ideal. I have the bedroom with the attached bathroom, and the air vent was positioned in a way that directed airflow more toward the bathroom than the bedroom itself. Since the main AC unit is located on the opposite side of the apartment, it was difficult to feel strong airflow in my room during hotter months. Maintenance was responsive and provided a vent cover that redirected the airflow, which helped significantly. I also want to give credit where it's due: the maintenance team here is excellent. Anytime I submitted a request, they were quick, professional, and helpful. As for pests, which can be a concern in Los Angeles apartments, I never experienced any roach problems during my entire stay. i didn't have some ants in january however they were able to stop them from coming. My biggest concern was the parking garage. While the property is generally very secure and has security on-site, the garage gate was frequently left open for extended periods while repairs were being completed. I never personally heard of any vehicle break-ins, but having the garage wide open for days at a time was concerning. Package security was another area that could be improved. I had one package delivered to the wrong location and another stolen from the mailroom. That said, whenever I used the Parcel Pending lockers, I never had any issues, and I would highly recommend using that service. Overall, my experience here was excellent. The staff, especially Brenda and Isabella, were phenomenal throughout my entire lease and always went above and beyond when I needed assistance. I even referred a friend to move here, and they've had a great experience as well. The only reason I'm giving this property 4 out of 5 stars instead of 5 is because of the recurring garage gate issues, occasional elevator problems, and package theft concerns. Aside from those issues, living here was genuinely a great experience, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for an apartment in the area.
