My third visit was just as great as the first two. When i want some really hot bulgogi soup, I'll go here. Or when i want to burn my mouth on some deliciousness. The flavor of the broth is rich, a little sugary and i love the japchae noodles in soup more than just plain. The bibimbap is the only other dish i've tried and it's very filling, fresh too. This place has like a total of 15 things on the menu because they don't need anything else. The side dishes of kimchi and potatoes and something else have a great spice to them and are much better than the other local Korean restaurants. This place is about quality not quantity. Speaking of small quantities - it's so cheap! I hope they don't go broke lol Very authentic and Korean. The environment is pretty quiet and really nice decor. The tables, utensils, chairs and everything just feels classier than other Korean restaurants in the area. The Korean channel plays discretely on the small TVs hanging in the corners. I have tried their notable dishes which are, soon dae gook (intestines soup), ddakdoritang (spicy chicken stew) gamja tang (spicy potatoes stew), and buljokbal (fire pig leg). I like them all and the one that stands out is the ddakdori tang!! It's one the harder korean dishes that need a lot of hands to make, but here they provide it quickly with very good seasoning and flavor. It also comes with potatoes and carrots which is a huge plus. The buljokbal is really good but REALLY spicy on some days. I would ask the server to lessen the spice a bit so you can enjoy the flavor, instead of eating in pain because of the spice. Honestly one of the best places I look for when it's cold out. Their spicy soups are the perfect definition of spicy. Right after we sat down the waiter brought tea for adults and water for kids, which was actually nice that we don't need to tell them. We ordered the stir fried spicy pork, which was our favorite. It had a good level of spicy. Also, ordered the beef bulgogi, it was a little bit sweet but the beef was tender, the kids love it. The fried dumplings was the kids favorite! It was mix with meat and vegetables. We added the Dogani Tang and Boyang Tang, which both the broth were delicious and tasty. You can taste the ox tail on the broth. I considered the place as an authentic Korean restaurant. The service was good, we didn't wait long for our food. The waiter provided us utensils, bowls and chopsticks right away. The reason I'm not giving 5 stars because the inside looks old, I think they need a little bit of renovation included the bathroom. I will definitely come back and already recommended to few friends. We ordered an array of dishes - soondae with pork slices, seafood soondubu, seafood pancake, galbi, hand-pulled noodles with clams. They provide all the traditional dipping sauces and salt that goes with the dish. All the dishes came out at a reasonable pace (didn't have to wait too long). I loved the soondae and pork slices. Kalbi was also made well. The soondubu was alright but not exceptional compared to other places. I was not a fan of the seafood pancake's texture - it was not really crispy and the batter was still a little runny for my taste. They don't provide a lot panchan. Overall the quantity was plenty per dish. Side note: 1 soju bottle cost $12. No flavored soju. read more

I ordered the dakkdoritang and my friend ordered the gamjatang. Dakkdoritang was very spicy and the soup was very thick. It had plenty of chicken and potatoes (even more potatoes than the gamjatang). The chicken was very tender and juicy. It went well with the rice but the thick soup sauce is spicy so I ate a lot of rice. The gamjatang was very good. The pork was tender and plenty and the big two or three potatoes were good too. The dishes came out looking similar and felt like they had similar flavors too until we got to the meats. The gamjatang is better if you want to drink up the soup because it also has cabbage and a very refreshing taste. The dakkdoritang is more for the chicken and occasional sauce. Usually the busboys refill the water at regular intervals. Sometimes if it gets busy it's hard to find a waitress after if you're in need of more napkins or the check. Food: My favorite here is the Gamja Tang. It's spicy but oh so good! My other favorite is the DakTori Tang, but beware it is very spicy...sweat on your forehead, wipe your nose with a napkin kind of spicy. I have not really tried the other dishes, but apparently they are known for their Dweji Gukbab. I agree with other reviewers when they say that the portions are large. We've been here many times and usually had a good experience. Today (the day we chose to take our kids) not so much. We placed our order pretty much as soon as we sat down. I even told the waitress to check to see if our order ticket was lost or misplaced and she said our food will be out shortly. Few more minutes pass by and my husband is looking like he's about to flip the table over. I get the waitress's attention again and she tells me it's because the galbi takes extra time to grill. Bitch, I see the table in front of us (let me emphasize again that they sat and ordered at least 15 minutes after us) eating their galbi and the rest of the food they ordered and are almost finished! Our food start to arrive one by one slowly and another waitress had the nerve to tell me 'any noodle dish takes extra time unlike the rice and soup dish'. So now it's the noodle's fault? Where is the galbi then?? The kids were starving at this point and they had to settle for galbi tang and rice. They kept insisting the galbi was coming but I told them to just cancel. We waited for our food for 40 minutes we rushed to finish it in 15 mins because we just wanted to get the f*** out. To the wait staff at the restaurant: if you made a mistake, just admit and apologize. How dare you make it sound like we chose the wrong dish to order? Will not be back to this location.
