They are always honest about what I'm expected to pay for the service and never go the cheap route when it comes to replacing anything on my car or servicing it. Unfortunately I had to move out of the area, but if I was still there this would be the place I would keep coming back to. My Tahoe was starting to have a couple of wiring issues but they inspected and repaired the vehicle promptly at a very reasonable price. They also went out of their way to do minor vehicle maintenance which I appreciated. Shout out to Adam for being very knowledgeable and professional. These were the go to guys in Canby for several years...but no more. Charged double the quoted price for a simple repair. When asked for an estimate on another issue they quoted double what other local shops charge. Check the good reviews, they're all a couple years or more old. Save your money....go to Millar's. Addendum: Standard business practice when the cost of repairs exceeds the quote by more than double is to inform the owner and get approval for the additional expense. It may well need additional work, but the decision to proceed is not the business's to make. Total Car Care quoted "around $200" to service the rear differential. Millar's quoted $100 and actually charged $83....they get five stars. read more

Got home from having my car looked at, only to find that I had only 3 loose lugnuts left on my tire. The guy tells me my brakes are sparking. So after I got more lug nuts put on my tire- I went to Les Schwab, they said there was nothing wrong with my breaks, they added another lug nut and looked at my tire, and said my car was fine. I won't be going to Total Car Care again. read more

Finally, a mechanic I can trust. Wilsonville Honda has been a horrible experience. So, we started asking around for a local mechanic to work on our CR-V. Dan and Adam at Total Car Care were honest and thorough. They also replaced our starter for $300 LESS than what Honda quoted us. I also explained about an intermittent problem with our other car. Honda said they could not help me since the check engine light was not on when the car arrived at the shop. Adam at TCC said to just drop the car off with then for a couple days and they will try to diagnose it in between jobs. If they find a problem, I will pay the diagnostic fee. If they don't, they will not charge me. Wow! They have my business for life. read more

Came all the way from Eugene because my mom has been coming here for years. I asked them to do an oil change and to take a look at a few other things, since I didn't have any records from the previous owner. Once they were done looking through everything, they showed me what needed to be done, what could be done, and what I could wait on. Turns out my timing belt was old and fraying, and he even took the time to illustrate a little picture so I could understand why it would be beneficial to replace it now rather than later (obviously). There was also a problem with my radiator so he called me, told me that I could probably get by with waiting but since they were right there, he'd recommend I fix that as well. Once I got there, he also showed me the part and what he was talking about over the phone. I just love how straight forward they are, and that they take the parts out to show you. After years of Jiffy Lube oil changes and getting pressured into spending money on things I didn't need, it's just so nice to feel secure in my choice of mechanic. I'll definitely be back! read more

My '03 Expedition hasn't been serviced for several years, except for routine oil changes. My husband used to only take it to the Ford dealership where he swore was the best place since they gave him a military discount. Once he got his new truck, vehicle maintenance on this puppy became my responsibility, which was a terrible idea. I knew when I brought it in for brakes and rotars, that it would need a major tune up. It was misfiring on at least 2 cylinders and it took extreme effort to get the damn car rolling above 40 MPH. Dan and Adam were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and honest. He told me things that could be done, and then told me the things he felt needed to be done, what could wait until later, etc.. Knowing I was comparing prices with Ford, he happily detailed all the work included in the tune up so I could compare pricing. What I thought was a good deal at Ford turned out to be a total waste of money compared to what they did at Total Car Care. For $100 more than Ford, I probably got $400 or $500 more worth of work than they would've done. I dropped my car off at 8 am and had it back by 3:30 the same day. It now drives as well as It did the day I drove it off the lot 10 years ago. No more squealing brakes, no more shaking steering wheel when attempting to drive above school zone speeds and no more frustrating car repair shops in my future. My 1999 Mercedes needed a new battery and cables. Total Care is an accurate name. These guys reset the electronics and everything from the radio to windows operates more smoothly. Good price, too. I've had Dan and his crew do about 5 jobs on multiple cars over the years and he's always been super honest and fair. Went in to have a headligt ajusted after I had break out with a rock on the freeway. Made a app and went in. The technician saw that the light had been replaced and told me that they could only ajust a stock headlights. I told the technician that the headlight was a stock OE replacment from the factor and even showed him the box it came in. He said that it did not matter and he would not touch the car. At this point I relized that I was dealing with a racist person. He did not want to work on my car because of the color of my skin. Even with Obama as president we still have these hate mongers who think they can discriminate based on skin color. It's sad because I moved to Oregon because of its progressive reputation. I geuss racism is everywhere. :( read more
