Unfortunately, they had no beers or seltzers on tap - so we ordered a Modelo and 805. The bartender was funny though - and had a great personality; turned our night right back around. I was feeling for a Tokyo Tea so we ordered just that, and might I say - even though they have nothing on tap, they pour HEAVY. After we closed out, he even went as far as asking if we were there before dinner or just chillin and we said before dinner. The bartender went on to recommend all kinds of different restaurants around the area. He made us feel welcomed and it was definitely a good time. Thanks for the hospitality!

The TWO times in recent times I visited there, the barkeep was like,"What can I get you?" But that was it! For the lack of a better term, I was a lonely customer. I am not ugly, and very friendly with a joke always on my lips. A couple years ago I went in when the/a band was there. I believe they are considered the "house band". Not bad but they really need to say hi to new customers and maybe even introduce the newbies to the known crowd and make them feel welcome... I mayyyy go back to see if there has been some customer relation changes when I come in after this review. Santa's 10th reindeer is named Olive.

When I said "Bar" and "Santa Ana" in the Yelp search - of course it said "Club 616" in the first…read morespot - OF COURSE IT SAID 616!!! I was lucky enough to stumble across this gem of the center of OC when they first opened - and I am proud to be a regular here. I don't know how to go somewhere else - because I feel like the staff are giant gems in this jewel of a spot. Winters is a curator of boozy information that has helped me learn about "gin" and "root beer whiskey" so I can sound like an adult-ish purveyor, when really I know close to nothing except being a willing student to his creations. Dan the Man and Jacob always see me raise my hand in the corner of the bar, like the student I am, and have been willing to fill in the blanks for me when I know I am of thirst, but do not have the words for what to order. Every person working in the well has treated me with kindness - they have taken the time to get to know me, and I will be forever appreciative of how they have taken care of me over the years. But the real joy has been the transformation that this spot has for building a community of people in Santa Ana for real recognizing real. I have been bringing my Dad with me to play pool for the past few years. Sometimes people ask me if he plays professionally, I am terrible, and my skill incline is slow, he is patient and plays with the same level craftiness that the staff offer the cocktails. My Dad is always stoked when we have time to go have a few hours of games at 616 - especially now that there are regulars on 4th street that are excited to see that he is there playing - and they rush to write their names on the chalkboard to challenge him - or beat him in a game they really earned the W. On lazy Sundays, I watch couples sit with their drink, listening to Jazz, and watching my Dad whoop my ass while making amazing shots. I am forever grateful to Memo who sometimes takes a break from his shift behind the bar to give my dad an actual challenge - which allows me the chance to watch my Dad enjoy fellowship around the table. Knowing the table was a relic of the bars former self, and knowing the history that this spot has in Santa Ana is a reminder that so much around us can change - but it is those moments of the crack of the rack, the cheer of getting the combo shot, and the shake of hands when it's over that shows that it's not just about the pool table - but about the energy of a place that is welcoming and curated by people who care about what they do - and care about who comes through their doors. Thank you Jason and Mike B to bringing this to 4th St and supporting the community that was already here - and for building a community for the future. Thank you to Christina and Brandon for always having amazing pictures, decor, and fun events at 616 that help introduce new folks into this great spot. Time is short. Learn about Root Beer Whiskey. Service is excellent and ambiance snazzy for a restaurant in a mini mall. We started with the Focaccia de Recco, followed by the beet salad. I had the roast chicken carbonara, my husband hand the homemade sausage lasagna. For dessert, we will be having the Irishman. NOTE TO THE CHEF: I only wished that the chef would have crisped up the prosciutto instead of just throwing in the slice as is. Texture of food is everything. It would have elevated the dish. Four stars for this dish.

This place is one of them in my opinion. One thing going for Jojo's is it hosts some good acts, and live music is pretty scarce in Tustin. We went to see Pretzel Logic, a really terrific Steely Dan tribute band that never disappoints. The views of the stage are good even when seated in the back of the room. The lighting and sound are good, too. However, the food was just so so, Jojo. * The calamari appetizer was generously portioned, but we've had a lot better elsewhere. * The Ribeye steak I ordered was the fattiest piece of meat I've ever been served. I left half of it uneaten. I'm surprised the cook who prepared it had the gall to plate it. The menu is an abbreviated version of the full menu of 17th Street grill. So why not a two star rating? The service was very good in a challenging environment. Cheers!

We've visited other R&R locations and knew it was a great spot for large groups. There are plenty of TVs to watch sports and spacious indoor and outdoor dining with a play area for kids in the back. During this visit, we enjoyed many things from the menu. I ordered Alice Cooper's Poison Burger. The burger was delicious, had a nice combination of spicy ingredients, and the beef patty was cooked to my request. I opted to upgrade my side dish to a Caesar's salad. My family also ordered the Fish n Chips, South x Southwest Egg Rolls, Blackened Chicken Caesar Wrap, Oklahoma Smash Burger, and a few more. They all enjoyed what they had. The only item that was under par was the sweet potato fries. The drink menu had some nice options of house cocktails, beers, spirits, mocktails, and more. I ordered a Carajillo, a cocktail with Liqcor 43, and espresso, which was well made and had thick, creamy foam on top. Our server, Victoria, was friendly and attentive. The rest of the staff was also great and accommodating. It was a Sunday, and surprisingly, it was not too busy, so it was a relaxed and pleasant experience.

It sometimes seems like a sports bar weekend live bands, loud open well lighted and happy place The food: Good selection of hand held food (wings, tacos, sandwiches) bust also salads Drinks and Beer: Typical soft drinks, Lots of good craft beer Service - Depends, friendly but slow when crowded Overall - Really good place for rock music and brews Recently went on a Sunday night ab out 7 PM to avoid the crowds. Haha. There were only 4 other parties and by the time we left at 8 PM, we were only one of parties. They had the Sunday night football game on the big screen though usually there are classic rock videos. The ceiling has awesome posters and the vibe is very casual and fun. On Saturdays when I've gone there was a decent live band in the patio separate from tee restaurant/ I like their beer selection - I am partial to their pilsner, stout, and IPA. NO sissy blonde beers for me. Food wise selection is good. I selected the beef dip sandwich. It was generously filled with tender beef on a toasted bun with fries on the side and warm dipping au jus My friend had chicken tacos which I didn't try but was said to be pretty good. I've had their chicken wings before which was really good. The food IMHO has improved since I first went during the pandemic when their tri tip sandwich was tough and the fish and chips was burned. This time all was great, including the service. Tip - As a bonus, Trader Joes nearby closes at 8 PM and Smart Final too in case you need to walk off your meal and alcohol before driving home.
