This was my first time stepping into Total Wine & More. It was beautiful, haha. I felt like I was in a candy store, but for alcohol. Parking is shared with Vroman's Bookstore, and there is also street parking as well. I recently visited a wine bar and fell in love with a type of Moscato. I searched online to see where the bottle was sold and saw that they are sold at this place. I placed an online order and set it for pickup at 6pm. I received a text message saying that my order was ready for pickup at 5:30pm (which was perfect because I was already on my way to that location and was going to be early). There was a big sign that said "Online Order" in the corner of the store, but there wasn't anyone there, so I went to one of the checkout lines. They said I need to go to the Online order area, and when I was about to say "no one was there", I saw someone walk into the area. They asked me to open up the link, click on the "curbside" and I heard their machine go ping and he grabbed my order. I decided to walk around more and I was amazed at how many wine selections they had! I will be back to try other brands!

The worst experience ever. I came inside to look at the bottles looking for a Father's Day gift. I was roaming around the store got approached once said no thank you. Continued looking and I got approached again at the bourbon place, I decided to leave that section and go towards the tequila section where I was approached AGAIN by a group of workers the older gentlemen "do you need finding any good tequila" which I laughed at and said no thank you and took a picture to show my boyfriend. I was approached AGAIN by a different younger men that asked "are you looking for anything in particular" tried to make conversation by offering me a tequila which I replied to again "no thank you, okay thank you so much" which he left and another person passed by in the back while I was taking pictures. till FINALLY a white young lady with curly hair in a pony tail approached me "can I help you find anything" and I didn't even glance at her just said "no thank you" and left the store. I just wanted to see the pretty bottles since we have them on display at my house. Happened 06/15/2026 at 12:40 ish wrote it down and posted by 12:51 that's how salty I was LMAO. You suck (since you like to comment).

Friendly and very knowledgeable staff. Bad enough I'm like a kid in the candy store standing in front of whiskey but spent about 20 minutes discussing flavors and brands and trying to find something new to sample with one of the employees. Then the wife turns the corner with a 12 of Widnmer Hefeweizen that we've been looking for for a while. Her twelve and my old Par and we two happy campers on the way to enjoy the weekend. We love coming here. If they ain't got it they might get it just for you. Better than BevMo IMHO

I had a great experience at the Pasadena Total Wine. I actually called ahead of time to make sure they had what I was looking for, and the cashier who picked up the phone was super helpful and polite (I didn't catch her name, but she made a great first impression before I even walked in). Once I got to the store, I knew I wanted a bottle of Lagavulin 16. While I was looking around the aisle, Jonathan approached me in a casual but professional way -- not pushy at all, just genuinely helpful. I mentioned that I was restocking my four decanters at home, and he did an excellent job guiding me through some options. I left with the Lagavulin I came for, plus Bar Hill Gin, Wild Turkey 8 Year, and Knob Creek Single Barrel Rye. The bourbon and rye were his recommendations, and they were perfect picks, while the gin and scotch were the bottles I had in mind already. Jonathan's product knowledge and customer service really stood out, and paired with the great service on the phone, this visit was top-notch from start to finish. I'll definitely be coming back to this location and recommending it to friends.

Love this particular location as the employees are knowledgeable and helpful. The store itself is clean, organized and well stocked with just about everything you can think of and then some. Every time I've come here I'm walking out with something new I've never even heard of. Parking is super convenient and easy as they have an attached lot.

Browsed around for a few different wines, beers, and other spirits. There is plenty of variety here to choose from across the world and locally too. The selection is very vast and there are also some small necessities too like bottle stoppers, cups, and other miscellaneous items that work well with the drinks. They do offer samples as well but bring your ID as they require that to sample and purchase. When you are at the register, they card everyone to make sure you are all of legal drinking age. In the back of the store is also an experience room where people can attend a course about certain wines and other interesting cultural spirit topics. Parking here is quite busy so you will have to look around for spaces in their shared parking lot.

They have a private parking lot for customers. This is a huge plus this part of town. Street parking is only an hour and is hard to find. The lot was crowded, but we still found a spot They have bathroom sin back that are clean. Samples were plentifully when we went. They were featuring hard cola and seltzer at separate tables/companies. They also had their own wine tasting for 1 cent. Wine is separated by region and then in alphabetical order. This makes it easy to locate your favorites. They had a great variety of wine in the 90-97 category and with all different price points. The cheese selection was limited. They only sell Boars Head. They do have several varieties. We bought 2. My favorite was the smoked Gouda. They are limited on the cracker selection. They had water crackers and artesian crackers. We went for the rosemary artesian crackers which went well with the cheese.

This was one of our favorite places in pre-pandemic Pasadena. We had some "could have been better"…read moreexperiences during the awkward period of reopening several years ago, but since then it seems to have mostly hit its stride. Overall, our recent experiences have been solid. It's always great when an "old favorite" still feels like a good value. I miss some of the menu items like the lentil shepherd's pie, but we have very much enjoyed the hearty English breakfast. They also have a good selection of European beers on tap. Service has been friendly, but it is lightly staffed and pretty slow, so it's not a good place if you are in a hurry. They don't keep an eye on the patio, so if you sit out there, it's best to go inside and let them know. They also seem to have more rules than before - but I have to imagine these have come from experience. I don't think this is an ideal place to go with a large group. If it's a quiet night you might be able to pull tables together long-ways, but most tables seem ideal for 2-4. We come with our dog and sit on the patio when it isn't busy. The dog meals are massive (more food than ours eats in a whole day and she weighs 60 lbs). It's a good value, but beware if your dog is on a diet! Overall, my favorite thing is that genuinely feels like a pub, in that you can just come as you are and take your time without being rushed. A good fit for both locals and visitors in Pasadena.

My best experiences have been when I sit at the bar (alone or with friends), drinks only. Even at that, the service has rarely been stellar. Sierra Madre is the exception as far as the service is concerned. Never have had bad service there. The other 2 locations.....meh! The Old Town location is the worst as far as comfort is concerned. Super cramped and claustrophobic. No elbow room whatsoever. The other two locations aren't as tight but still need better spacing. The food here is mediocre at very best. The traditional Fish and Chips equal 3 words.....soggy, Soggy and.....SOGGY!! Crisp isn't even in their vocabulary. Both, Fish and Chips are very under-seasoned and just very disappointing and unappealing. The "Bangers and Mash" are equally disappointing. Are you serious.....deep frying the Brats to "finish them off "? The flavorless Mashed and Gravy really seal this dish as a sucker's bet. And don't get me started on the nasty frozen peas that they serve. The British Curry is the best of the traditional fare and it is barely average. Desperately in need of flavor. I go to the East Pasadena location on New Year's Eve to meet a very large group of motorcyclists for a ride, but after 3 years in a row of very disappointing breakfasts now all I do is meet them there and ride. I mean, have you ever had greasy pancakes?! And the kitchen couldn't cook an egg to order if their lives depended on it! I have to say that they do have a couple tasty Burgers though. Not what most go to an "English Pub" for but pretty much the best stuff on the menu is in burger form. The "English" is a pretty solid burger, well rounded flavors and a big seasoned and juicy patty. The "Irish" is good too. I just don't understand the Swiss Cheese, why not an Irish Cheddar?! The rest their Burgers/Sandwiches seem very uninspired, something you can get in just about every restaurant in America! Do yourself a favor and get the Steak Fries (well done) with your Burger, not the soggy homemade Fries. I went this Sunday 07/05 with some out of town guests to hit up a futbol match. They wanted to watch in a "real pub atmosphere", and had heard of Lucky Baldwins on Big Bang Theory. There was 7 of us and we arrived early enough to get a good table for the match. The place was virtually empty when we got there but filled up quickly. We all ordered our beers, then my buddies unloaded on some appetizers....5 Scotch Eggs, 2 Irish Nachos (with Steak Fries, no Tomato) and 2 Buffalo Cauliflower (1 with no sauce). Everyone Loved the Scotch Eggs, they were grub. The Grain Mustard is such a compliment. The Cauliflower was very good, with a crispy breading and very well seasoned. The Buffalo Sauce added a great kick but the Bleu Cheese Dressing was not up to par.....watery and where was the Bleu Cheese?! Our Irish Nachos were decent but came with Tomatoes (which I cannot eat). I do have to say that they do have a great variety of ale and beers. They are a little pricey though. Go for the beer, stay for the beer, be mindful of what you order!

LATE REVIEW…read more Finding little neighborhood gems when it comes to food has always been an exciting experience for me. Having family alongside makes the journey more special. We chose Holy Saints to announce our baby's gender with our parents and we had an amazing time during our intimate dinner here. The restaurant's ambiance was the perfect combination of homey and inviting. It is a smaller place and the number of tables are limited so I highly suggest making a reservation when dining here. During our dinner, it was a bit difficult to have a full blown conversation as the place was packed with guests when we came plus the loud background music that was playing the whole night. Service and food were nothing but amazing! Their menu is very limited. Maybe not everyone will appreciate that, but I think it is more intentional on what is being served to the table. Our highlight of the night was the Grandpa's Pan Roasted Duck Magret Au Poivre for sure. It was so tender on the inside and crispy on the outer edges! We never had a meal like that elsewhere and we will for sure be back just because of it.

Dishes tried: - Sourdough bread and bbq butter, solid for a bread dish, butter is definitely unique, reminded me of Lay's BBQ chips in a good way - Grandma's Risotto w/ prosciutto, okay for me? Prosciutto was a supplement here and needs it imo for that oomph, otherwise a fine risotto dish but would pass unless it speaks to you - Barnyard Bolognese - a bit underwhelming to start, just too one-note for me, but it eventually grew on me and would get it again if I wanted a rich pasta - Duck Magret Au Poivre - easily my favorite dish here and what I would come back for and recommend for people, tender duck with the right amount of fat and a great sauce. Fries are a bit thicker than I would like, but still enjoyed it. - Seasonal apple pie - more of a danish if I had to describe it to someone, but nice texture and more importantly, not too sweet!

Being in a party of 4 girls coming from high tea, we were dressed in elegant dresses, first comment was asking if we were coming from church, followed by eye flutters, short "okay" with an upward inflation to a joke about the day, an impatient comment about hurrying up and trying the wine while we were talking, asked for water when we were out, were left to pour the rest of our wine, didn't ask how the food was all the while was attentive to the table behind us, the cherry on top comment was when we were discussing the bill at the end, he was hovering at the table behind ours, then when we were ready, we asked to split the bill into 2, my portion on mine and the rest on another card, he then said "this isn't like a drive through, we can't do it that way" so I asked him to explain his comment, cause it was passive agressive and rude. After he wasnt able to becuase he wasnt expecting me to call out his rude comment, I had to then break it down and specify what I had ordered, he then sold "okayyyy....so how much, cause we don't itemize?" I had to again express for him to specify how they do it cause he has still yet to explain where his attitude is coming from and explain how they do their check splits, from my understanding it just felt like he wanted to play dumb and make me to the math, one I did he was like "ohh, okay" should have asked for the manager but we paid and left, I hasnt had this experience before being a returning customer, but he needs an attitude adjustment as his attitude was completely out of pocket. Do better Manuel, you alone got your place of work a 1 star. The rest of the staff was kind, facility beautiful and food and wine was good. This restaurant is not reflected in the 1 star.
