I will preface this by saying that I only tried the macarons, so this is really only a review of macarons, and not of the establishment as a whole: Very disappointing macarons here. I was here on opening day, so I'm not sure if this was a fluke, or if they're always like this, but the macarons has absolutely 0 crunch!!! They were completely soft, which I found to be very disorienting. Also, I was very intrigued by interesting flavors, such as blueberry lavender, but was disappointed by macarons that tasted like essential oils. I bought 2, took one bite of each, and couldn't finish either. :( I'd be interested to know if the macarons here are still like this! read more

I witnessed an incredibly rude interaction from a cashier today, 6/24/2019, around 6:35 pm. I was really upset in line after watching this interaction and wanted to say something to the cashier, but I know it would've achieved nothing. An elderly man ordered coffee to go with his pastry. The cashier condescendingly said something along the lines of, "No one's ordered a coffee for the last two hours so I'm not going to brew a new pot before closing. I can make you an Americano." The man looked sad. She then rudely asked, "well do you still want your pastry?" He shook his head, left the pastry at the register and walked out of the store. He then walked outside, checked the store hours, checked his watch, then got in his car with his head down and drove away. Mind you, this is a cafe. It closes at 9 PM. It was 6:35. She could have brewed him a coffee or could've said "sorry" anywhere in that explanation of hers. It was ridiculously handled by this employee. No customer service skills whatsoever. I wanted to apologize to the man on her behalf, it was that bad. So if you want coffee after 6 pm, go somewhere else. Actually, if you want pastries after 6 pm maybe you should go somewhere else- the ones out at this time don't look fresh. Management- talk to your employees. This was an unacceptable way to treat a customer who was just looking for a coffee to go with his pastry. read more

It's hard to compare this bakery to others since there aren't any asian bakeries like this in the area. I have heard such great things about this place and a friend had recommended it to me, we've been here 3 times now and have always gotten the same few things. I think they could work on a little bit of their customer service skills, they're polite but not too friendly. Their coffee is terrible and their pastries are a little on the expensive side compared to other asian bakeries I've been to. I do have to say their kimchi croquettes are amazing and my kids love their strawberry croissants with cream so it's a spot we will still come to until better ones pop up in the area. I do suggest lowering the prices and also adding more Pastry options. read more

OMG!!! I lived here for years but did not have a chance to stop by this bakery. This is absolutely a MISSING thing. We decided to stop by around 6 pm over the weekdays and most of the items are sold out. So, I picked a fruit tart and a box of macarons to try. I love this place it's so good especially the croissants. Everyone is always so nice and the place is incredibly clean. The scoopable cheesecake is amazing! Just a note the refreshers are a vinegar drink which was super gross. When I asked what they were they described it as an Italian soda which it's not. My son said they did say it was vinegar and I didn't hear it so I'm not taking a star off when I just didn't understand what the drink was. Maybe helpful to offer small samples? Or list it as vinegar! My favorite thing is the croissant with cream and strawberries and my husband liked the honey toast and the red bean donut. Still yumm! read more

Amazing pastries but service was SO BAD. Stopped by for the first time to pick up some pastries. No line to check out and people behind the counter were just chatting waiting to ring up people. So clearly it wasn't busy at that moment and no reason for that one guy to be in such a bad mood. Yummmm and chic! My son and three granddaughters walked in to this wonderful place yesterday. Stroller in tow, we looked around for seating first but there was none available inside, so we decided to sit outside. Two seaters only but we figured we'd move some chairs to make it work. Then, from inside the shop, a very kind gentleman came out to say, we could have his table and that he and his friend could sit outside. I was filled with gratitude that someone would be that observant and kind. My granddaughters are 3mos, 2yrs and 12 in age so having a seat inside near everything was very much appreciated. I am visiting with family from Honolulu and can't say I've ever been treated like this before. We enjoyed a wonderful and delicious time here and also took more "to-go". The Starbucks of Korean bakery makes its debut in Beaverton. Good selection (which gets picked over later on in the evening) and consistently tasty pastries and cakes. Prices are on par with other American bakeries (more expensive than the Tous Les Jours in Korea) The plain croissants are just ok (Grand Central Bakery still gets my vote for best croissants). I have been to this place a hand full of times and usually have a great experience. Today, I went in and got 2 pastries with a double shot of espresso. Receiving the double shot it looked a bit sparse to me, as I have worked as a barista and know what 2 shots of espresso should look like. I double checked with the baristas asking if it was two shots tilting the cup to show them. The two did not look and in annoyed tones quickly replied yes. Korean-French bakery? I'm all for it! The interior is super clean, tidy and welcoming. We arrived on a Sunday morning and it was busy, but not packed. They have all kinds of options to choose from, and you can't go wrong with well...anything here. My favorites are the croissant and curry croquettes. Nom! Not a lot of people review their drink options, and it's surprisingly great. Not only will you find the normal coffee/tea, but they also have matcha, grapefruit lemon iced tea, some seasonal things that are very refreshing and unique. I'd highly recommend checking their seasonal selection out! The pricing itself is expected for this area, it's definitely more expensive than a grocery store bakery, but the quality is also 1000%. I love Tous Les Jours. I have only tried the cloud cakes, tiramisu and the macarons. Delicious!!!!! The staff is very friendly. In reading the reviews that rated them low on service, it's possible that they came during a rush hour. I have never had bad service because I also understand that businesses have peak times. I also believe in giving good tips. Tips are not just for the servers, they might also be shared with the people making the food. If you like the food, PLEASE TIP. Tous les Jours is EVERYWHERE in Asia, so imagine my shock when it suddenly opened here. I like the convenience of getting to select my own pastries and I like that there are many different options. I think they are still trying to figure out supply and demand logistics so sometimes I'll come in 2-3 hours before closing and there will be barely anything left. The cakes are really pricey for a whole cake. They range high 20s to 30s for a normal sized cake. they have smaller "one serving" size ones that are like $7-8 I believe. It would be a great/worthy cake for a really special occasion! My favorite thing here is the mocha bread. It's huge and it smells like a fresh cup on coffee when you toast it! I also really like the plain croissants, almost on par with grand central's for me! One of my favorites when I lived in Asia was the sesame ball bread. for some reason it was a total miss for me here. It was tough to chew, hard as a rock, bland in the middle. Today was our first time stopping in. I had heard they were a really good French bakery so we were excited to give things a try. Overall I feel satisfied but I was not impressed. I would say it is more similar to an Asian bakery with a French name than it is a French bakery. My fiancé and I each had mochas. One iced and one hot. The coffee itself was good and we really enjoyed the iced mocha. It was the perfect mix of chocolate to coffee and was not watered down. As for the pastries we each had croissants. One chocolate and one with berries and cream. The outside was a nice firm churchy texture while being light and smooth on the inside. I would recommend the strawberry with whip cream to anyone who likes those sorts of things. You will not be disappointed. The one disappointing thing was the pricing I think the price point is a little too high. The atmosphere is not quite that of a la provance and was more caffe style. This place is pretty new! As we walked in I noticed there was a "Grand Opening" sign. It's beautiful and clean. I definitely appreciated the interior design of the place as it's my style. My husband, my uncle, and I came here after dinner. We discovered it in Yelp! Yay! Luckily we got there before a slew of people entered and there was a loooong line. We ordered the Winterland Orange Cream Cake and the Strawberry Cheescake. Both were exceptional. Not too sweet and the cakes were very soft & moist! So yummy! Great to find another bakery since Beaverton bakery closed down last summer. Lots of options to choose from fresh pasties, roll cakes and cheesecake options. It's a little expensive at $7.50 for a single slice of cake that isn't all that great. Ordered the tiramisu and there were ice crystals all in the batter. Fresh cream cake is bland. On the way to a dinner party last Saturday, we stopped to pick up a cake to bring for dessert. We were so happy to find they had a peach cake, which we've been wanting to try but they're always out. Had called in to order a cloud cake for my birthday, called and placed the order the required 24 hours in advance. Went to pick it up and had my boyfriend run in to grab the cake. By the time we had gotten to my party and we're getting around to the cake we had noticed that the cake was not the correct one and was instead the strawberry cloud cake. Unfortunately at this time it was past their close time and we had no other options for cake so we had decided to have the one we were given and talk to the place in the morning. Upon talking to them, we were told we should have called when we noticed, and I let her know it was after they had closed. Then we were told because it was a miscommunication error between the person who had placed my order and me that they couldn't replace or refund the cake, because they made "what they thought was right". I mean I'm glad you made what you thought was right, but that wasn't at all what we wanted. No refund/partial refund offered, and no offer to correct the mistake. Saw my friend's post on her Facebook and felt impulsive to go. I travelled to Seoul a couple of times and I tried Tous Les Jours there. It is a chain and has its store in other Asian cities. Food quality from a chain is expected to be stable, not top notch and not low end. I tried sweet rice donut, kimchi croquette and mini danish bread. All of them are good. SALTY CAKE! I ordered a Fresh Cream Cake#1 for Thanksgiving and to my surprise when I took the first bite it was salty. Yes, more than sweet it had good salt crystals in it.
