The sandwich was nice but not something I would be impatiently waiting to order again. I took a bite of K's Biscuit sandwich with bacon and jalapeno poppers. That was was the standout dish! Now I was really having buyer's remorse. The coffees were pretty good too. I came in for a cafe latte but left with a pistachio cream iced coffee instead -- a sugar bomb but pretty delicious; just don't make it a daily habit!

We tried the melon pain, choco melon pain, matcha melon pain, custard bun, Nutella kitty bun, and walnut cookies. The melon pain were discounted at 20% because they were ugly according to Belle's. All of the bread held up for our road trip back to Chicago and remained flavorful and soft. The walnut cookies has a very good bite and it is not overly sweet. They can be paired with a nice Jasmine tea for a delicate afternoon snack. Belle's had a full case of dessert a vast variety of cake. I was really tempted to try a piece but I held back because it was an odd hour and we were supposed to have dinner soon. I would definitely like to revisit at a different date and time and try several pieces of dessert.

The staff are very friendly. Come early if you want a bigger selection of bread and pastries! I came around 6 pm on a Saturday and most breads were sold out but there were still plenty of cakes left. I ordered the iced matcha latte and iced black sesame lattes (both with oat milk). After mixing, the matcha latte was a light shade of green and pretty much just tasted like milk which was kind of disappointing. The black sesame latte on the other hand, had a nice strong black sesame flavor. The mango and strawberry smoothies were super refreshing especially since it was hot outside. I actually saved the matcha roll for 2 days later and it still tasted really fresh and yummy.

I originally was going to order a cheesecake, still may do so, but hated the idea of missing out on a variety of options. Plus, there is only two of us so maybe the quick fix pick up options with a variety are best. We shall see! Today, I picked up for mini-cheesecakes, a brownie and a cookie. I get to surprise my husband later and they are the perfect small size for sharing so this will last us a while - at least until our anniversary next month. :). Customer service rocked. Parking is available though just a few spots. Establishment was clean. You get to pick up a few bottles of drinks like H20 or soda, I saw. The counter is two parts: one with cheesecake options and the other with cookies/brownies. Easy in and easy out. I'm impressed. The real deal will be when my husband gets to try this fun stuff with me and yes, I signed up for a rewards program. How can you not? Huge boost in points for signing up and it's free. I have a feeling we'll be extra impressed tonight.

It would be nice to see a little more variety, but I can't fault someone for selling what they sell. Plus, that cinnamon roll was SOOOO good. I brought it into the office and had everyone drooling. Oops! The place was cozy and quaint on the inside. Dark but welcoming. The worker was also very friendly and helped guide me to another place to find some coffee (which didn't end up working out, but I appreciated the effort). This is definitely a place I would visit again for a quick treat in the future, though maybe not necessarily the best for a breakfast-on-the-go (as much as I would love a cupcake every morning!).

Once you find the door, you'll enter a small retail space with a view of the large kitchen / bakery area. There's extremely limited seating (really just two tables / window seats), but the space is certainly bright, attractive, and inviting. (The restroom for customers is so well kept and clean by the way; kudos to the business for that). There's an array of sandwiches and pastries on display for sale, as well as bread and a coffee drink menu. The prices are extremely high: think $28 for a sandwich, $16 for a pastry. So, with that price, the bar is set very high. I ordered three pastries: Copia Egg & Bacon Danish, Sweet Cheese Danish, and Almond Twice Baked Croissant. The egg and bacon danish was truly excellent -- savory, a little sweet, herbal elements (rosemary etc) that was so unique. The almond croissant was good; I appreciated the almond filling and the size. The sweet cheese danish was a real miss. It was as hard as a rock, and the cream was a very thin layer. It tasted like something you could get at a lesser chain bakery or coffee shop, and definitely not worth the price. I also ordered the salty caramel iced latte, and it was really great. The size is a little small for the price (again!), but the quality is excellent. So, there were major hits, and a big miss. I'd go back to try a few other things, but only if I am really ready to splurge.
