Had a craving for something sweet after dinner one night and decided to have some baked goods delivered from Tous Les Jours. I'd never tried their desserts before and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered lots of items. A caramel apple pie, chocolate avalanche, pain au chocolat, chocolate muffin with hazelnut filling, custard bun, caramel apple pastry, and mini apple trio danish. I ate the goodies over the next several days and they all held up nicely. My favorite was the chocolate muffin with hazelnut filling. I'm not sure if they use Nutella or some other type of hazelnut spread, but it was creamy and delicious. All of the chocolate pastries were scrumptious. The only thing I didn't care for was the caramel apple pastry. I found it overly sweet and didn't like the caramel flavor. Strangely, I loved the caramel apple pie, which is a small handheld pie that had a more muted caramel taste. I'm sure I will treat myself to Tous Les Jours again. read more

Stopped in a weekend afternoon, no line, but all single tables all taken. Single chairs and bar seating available too. Cool to have seating options. Ambiance: bright, airy, tall ceiling, medium level pop music playing. Lots of good choices for pastries, baked goods and cakes. Also good drink selection including coffees, teas, ice drinks, and specialty drinks. Quick check out, friendly staff. Coffee took about 5-8 min to make. My girlfriend took me here to try and hyped it up. The inside looks nice and clean. The place is well lit. They have little snacks to eat that you go around and pick up. I look on the menu and was glad it said soy milk because I'm lactose. When we go to order I asked for a caramel macchiato iced with soy milk. The cashier says we don't have soy milk. I was like but it's on the menu. Pretty disappointing place that doesn't carry one of their menu items. And also the cashier didn't apologize or anything. Just gave me a straight face. That is not customer service. Great customer service and something that would have saved this visit was a smile and apology for not having a menu item. Probably will not return to this place. This is an Asian fusion style bakery like 85C or Paris baguette - they had pastries, desserts, cakes and drinks. I particularly liked the strong nutty flavor of their ube latte (you can add an espresso shot as well it has no caffeine by itself). The matcha latte is also good, I liked the tiramisu top (kinda like a cheese foam topping you get a boba shops) too, went very nicely with the not very sweet regular matcha latte. There was a large selection of pastries and breads which I didn't get a chance to try yet, although several looked quite appetizing, ranging from the traditional croissants to taro bread. I preordered the mango cloud cake #3 for a birthday, and the order was ready on time (in fact early), and came with a cake cutter that had matches inside. The mango cloud is pretty good, the cream part is lighter than typical cream from American style cakes, although the cake party itself was quite dry. This seems to be a miss from this location as I had the same cake from the Santa Clara location and it was not like that. My main complaint is that the cakes are quite expensive for the size -- $50 after tax for a regular 8" cake. I'll give them that the cake was beautifully decorated, but a tad too expensive for my preference. The interior of this location was quite nice - good amount of seating, leisure style lounge chairs as well as table seating. Parking can be tricky as it is close to TJ's which always has a lot of foot traffic, but it is a big shared lot in Westgate West so you can always park a bit further away and walk over. read more

I came across Tous Les Jours for the first time in Austin last year, and enjoyed their pastries. I was so excited when I noticed that they had opened a new location at Westgate, while I was researching birthday cake options last month. It's a good alternative to the other Korean chain more popular around here. The birthday girl wanted something light, no cheesecake, no fruits; and I needed a place nearby with early pickup before driving to the small out-of-town birthday celebration. TLJ's triple chocolate mousse cake was the perfect fit! Ordering online was easy. (Forgot to join their rewards program before ordering, though.) Short line at pickup around 9:30am. We stopped by "Tous Les Jours" after lunch, since they were having their grand opening. It's very similar to an "85 Degrees" café. They had a wide variety of pastries that looked amazing. They also have whole cakes and cakes by the slice, as well as coffees and teas. When you first walk in, there is an area where you can grab a tray and line it with paper and get a set of tongs to grab the items you want. We picked 8 different pastries to take home and try. We chose the lemon cloud donut, mixed berry danish, guava danish, yuzu pie, almond croissant, sweet cheese and blueberry pastry pie , soboro, and blueberry cream cheese bread. The employees were very friendly and accommodating. And the inside is very fresh and clean with plenty of seating. You can get a free coffee mug if you spend $25 or a free umbrella if you spend $35 during their grand opening. So far we have tried the yuzu and sweet cheese blueberry pie pastry and they were both delicious. read more

I was up early on Sunday and noticed the newly opened Tous Les Jours was already open (6am-9pm) so I grabbed my keys and off I went. Located in the Westgate West shopping center near Trader Joe's sits this adorable new bakery. The first thing I noticed was how bright and inviting the clear glass cases trimmed in gold were. It was pretty early so I wasn't surprised that I was the only customer gazing at the goodies and trying to decide which ones were going to come home with me. Sadly many of the trays were still empty. Here's what I got: TIRAMISU LATTE - tasted like a basic mocha and wasn't very warm ALMOND CROISSANT - light and flaky but hardly any cream filling RAISIN SPIRAL - lovely dunked in my latte. SPINACH & CHEESE PASTRY - this was probably my favorite but lacked flavor to me. RED BEAN PASTE BREAD - light and airy but not my favorite. I got a 16oz tiramisu latte, a croquet monsieur, and banana soft bread. All three items were so delicious. I ordered from DoorDash and it got here quickly so I know they had packed my order and made my drink with fast service. All items were also packed really well. The tiramisu latte is really good because, while it is sweet; it isn't overpowering and you can still taste their espresso, which is quite smooth. The milk options are oat milk, soy milk, almond milk, and coconut milk. I chose almond milk so it added that nutty almond flavor too. I'm not familiar with these kinds of milks but I think I'd try a different one next time. I'm more of a cow milk kind of gal but sometimes subbing is worth it. The croquet monsieur was good heated up, I had never tried one before and I have a very good first impression. The cheese used is rich and flavorful and the bread is nice and soft inside but isn't soggy. The cheese also isn't super greasy so that's cool. The sweet filled banana milk bread is really good. It reminded me of the banana lady taffy flavor. Very very sweet. It's airy and soft and fluffy, just so good. They have other flavors of this too like strawberry and I can't wait to try it. I actually haven't been to the store but have had a "chocolate croissant" and an almond croissant brought home to me. I put the chocolate in double quotes because it's not a traditional one. They basically took a regular croissant, dipped half of it in dark chocolate, and sprinkled almond shavings on it. So the almond croissant was just OK. I mean it tasted good but it seemed too light and airy. I like my almond croissants to have a bit more "weight" to it. I had issues with the "chocolate croissant". Firstly, it didn't taste fresh. As noted, I haven't been there but it was bought in the morning and I consumed it almost immediately after I received it. It seemed day-old. Also, with it being dipped half way and no chocolate in the middle, you had half a croissant that basically didn't taste like anything if you started from the chocolate side. A definite thumbs down disappointment for me. Apparently they sell the traditional chocolate croissants but this was in the case labeled as a chocolate croissant. Have purchased many cakes here this year and most recently this weekend picked up a mango cloud and a regular cloud cake. So good! Well made and the high and mighty Asian compliment of "not too sweet." However, there is not an online option for "writing" to be put on the cake so I put it in the notes. Next thing you know, I get an email saying they were charging me $1.10 more for each cake since I was requesting writing. It's not about the money, obviously, but about the inconvenience of not having that option available while I was ordering. The food is great! They keep all their calorie info up and have a good range of drink choices. The interior is nice, clean, and very aesthetic. They also have some big tables for 8ish people so I like to come here to do big projects with my classmates. I would say however that the service is sub par. I happen to see this place finally open on my way to Trader Joe's. I went in about 8:45am on a weekend. The place is super clean. The display cases were not all filled. I picked just a few items to try. The Portuguese Egg Tart is good. The crust is very flaky if you like that type. The custard is just sweet and baked well. It's $3.45. The Pain Au Chocolate is filled with lots of chocolate. The crossaint is super light and crispy. It's $3.75. The chocolate cream donut is so light and airy and fully filled with a chocolate cream that is super creamy and just enough sweetness. The donut is covered in granulated sugar which gives your palette different sensations. It's $4.35. Check out was simple and service takes good care not to damage the pastries while packing the items to go. The prices are a little high, but the quality of the food justifies the price. When I walked out I happened to see they later put out a tray of donuts with a strawberry cream which looked really good. I hope the next time I'm in the area they are fully stocked to try the strawberry donut and the waffles I saw in other photos. read more

We love coming here and studying / working while my kid is in class nearby. The pastries and drinks are delicious. The place is clean and bright - ideal for studying. However... tonight is the second time in the past 3 months that I asked for decaf and got a caffeinated latte. Employees need to understand that a request for drink alterations is not a matter of mere preference: it could be due to health issues, and ignoring the request could have a significant impact on the customer. I have asked twice to confirm that my latte is decaf, emphasizing that I really cannot have caffeine, and the girls at the coffee machine both told me it is (checking the receipt - it says decaf, therefore it must be). They did not think to check which grinder they pulled from. While the muscle memory of pulling from the caffeinated grinder is an understandable mistake, blatantly disregarding the customer's concern is not. I was half-way through my latte when I started feeling my heart race and my hands shake - unfortunately my normal response to caffeine. I brought it back and asked for an ube latte instead. They were kind enough to remake it, but the caffeine is in my system already, and I am going to have a miserable night :( read more

Bottom line: pleasant experience with the breads you expect and beverages you might not expect! Vibez: located in west gate west (on prospect, between Lawrence and Saratoga), sits the brand new shop! Music was hip and perhaps more chaotic (lightly used) then I'd anticipate for a bread and coffee shop vibe set by the modern but calm decor. Staff was friendly. Tiramisu Matcha: what basically is a sweet cream top matcha, I wasn't mad at it. First sip did have a Tiramisu vibe due to the cream, the milky matcha that follows is a little too light on the matcha flavor. I need that intense earthy tea flavor to punch me in the face. Lastly, I guess I'll never understand a tiramisu flavor that doesn't have coffee. Breads: croissant is elevated compared to most coffee shops, kimchi croquette was mid spicy and more creamy than I expected. Raisin bread loaf was simple but effective. Egg tart croissant like thing looked good! My son just grabbed it, ran, and I never saw it again (the egg tart, not my so). So I think it was good! read more

As it's just opening up now there were some slight set-backs like a slow check-out line and confusion on which drink options were ordered. I was so excited to hear my favorite bakery was opening close to me in Saratoga. I went during opening day and the whole experience was so genuine and fun! I really liked this place! The pastries were excellent-- I got the croque monsieur, the rice ball donut, strawberry cloud donut, soft milk roll, garlic and cheese croissant, the curry croquette, and a honey lavender iced matcha latte. The croque monsieur is essentially a grilled cheese with I believe a slice of ham inside, and it was SO good warmed up!! Probably my favorite item of the bunch, I'll definitely be getting this again. The rice ball donut had an excellent texture and I believe was filled with a subtle red bean filling--I'm not a big red bean person but even I liked this. The strawberry cloud donut was so good I didn't get a picture, lol--the cream to donut ratio was really great, I hate donuts with too much cream. The cream itself was a light strawberry whipped cream and wasn't heavy or sickeningly sweet--it was great! The strawberry on top wasn't very ripe but not a big deal. The curry croquette was soooo good... the breading itself was lightly seasoned and was so good by itself I wouldn't mind eating just that, but the curry filling is great!! Super flavorful and seasoned spectacularly, I'm not familiar on traditional south Asian curry but I feel like this hits the mark pretty well, it's clearly a different set of flavorings and seasonings than their other items and it's so good. I was really, really pleased with this one! The soft milk bread roll was alright--not particularly my thing, but I'm sure others would like it. It just wasn't as strong of a pastry as the others were. It's a soft, tiny milk bread baguette roll filled with a lot of cream. Too much cream for me and not much other flavoring going on. The honey lavender matcha latte was easily the most disappointing of the items I got--it tastes mostly of milk and nothing else. Lavender especially is a very strong flavor, but I don't get much of that at all. I'm not sure if the lack of matcha flavor is due to a lesser quality matcha or if their matcha solution is too diluted (their matcha was premixed in a bottle) but it just wasn't great, unfortunately. The prices here were actually surprising! Going somewhere like Paris baguette and getting the items I got would have been $50+, which I was honestly expecting, but my total came out to $36 including 18% tip. Their service was, honestly, 3 star worthy, but I don't want to bring the overall rating down for that. There were two younger and I'm assuming very new people working and an older woman working--the two younger people were having a rough time getting the hang of things, and the older woman was rushing around trying to take care of everything. I felt bad because she looked fairly stressed :( I think they just need some more training. The younger barista crumpled up my receipt by accident so I ended up having to ask for my drink again, and the younger cashier was having a bit of a rough time at the register but they were both trying their best! I definitely recommend this place because the pastries are great, the prices are great, and I went in at 3:45 pm and they still had a pretty good selection to choose from with everything still tasting and feeling fresh! The pastries here are delicious. I've tried a variety and everything has been fresh and flavorful. When I opened the display cases today I could feel warmth that indicated freshness. Just a warning; The sandwiches in the fridge are mislabeled (ham sandwich continues to be labeled as turkey when it is clearly ham) and I wish they didn't put undercooked bacon on all of the sandwiches, including the egg salad, because the veggies, bread, and sauce are fresh and tasty. I think some of the employees might need a bit more training. A couple of the employees just seem really terrified to be helping customers. My drink was also made wrong (shakerato is supposed to be shaken and creamy, but this time they just poured espresso? in the to go cup and milk? on top without any shaking or mixing) maybe she just made the wrong drink since it was nothing like my first order on opening weekend. read more

Noticed this place next to Trader Joe's so I decided to stop by. Walking in the place was really bright and clean. And the hello kitty cakes were cute!! Once I tried to get some pastries I was really confused since I walked by the initial little area at the front that explains the pastry situation. I asked for tongs or how to get a pastry out and she went to refill them instead of explaining to me how they do things there so I saw where they were at that point. I got the almond croissant which was just okay. They weren't warmed or had any filling. I also got the vanilla latte and it was just fine. Tasted like a regular latte no vanilla. Prices were decent compared to Starbucks for coffee and pastry just about the same. I'm hoping to try again and get some different pastries or maybe the most popular drink! read more
