Last night, my car was towed, and I was very confused because I parked in the P8204 purple parking lot. I received a text confirming my parking payment of $11, showing that I paid to park at 331-333 Alexander St. I was told my car was towed for blocking the road, but I was parked inside the parking lot, not on the road. A friend drove me to TowBuster, where they gave me a ticket stating that I was parked at 325 Alexander St. I explained to the woman there that I was not aware of any issue, and she told me to call the manager the next day. When I called the manager the next day, he was extremely rude. He repeatedly claimed that I parked in an apartment complex and told me to contact the parking company there. When I asked for the parking company's contact information, he said he didn't know. I then asked how he could be sure I parked in an apartment complex if he didn't know who owned the parking lot. At that point, he hung up on me. I am very upset because I had to pay $157 to get my car back, even though I paid for parking and believed I parked legally. read more

Unfortunately you have to rate a minimum one star, these guys deserve zero. A few of us went out to dinner and an error resulted in a friends car getting towed... ok it happens ... not the reason for this review. Trying to find this place was nearly impossible, not just because of the dark. barely any lights no real signs or address number on the building. We drove around the block and had to ask someone walking. Once there you have to wait at the gate and call their number. No one was actually at the building. A lady that lives near by and walks across the street not looking like an employee demands a credit card payment as your asking questions. Once payment is processed she lets you access your car. Absolutely terrible customer service. Others waiting to get the car had similar experiences. Lots of complaints. read more

My car was towed while I parked in a paid lot on Alexander, P8204, right beside one of the payment signs and when I called I was told it was because I "wasn't in the right place". There is no sign saying that the parking was for the building in front of my car. There were only signs to pay for parking here. It cost me $150 cash to get my car back because the credit card machine wasn't on site. I would have to wait for someone to come down with it. This was also happening right as I had to pick up my daughter from the Golisano hospital prom that was ending in 30 minutes. The person on the phone was very rude and said marking lots weren't his job, towing was. Total BS and I have the parking verification to prove it was paid and valid until 3:59am. read more

Towed my car out of the park Ave lot even though I payed for parking. When I asked why they towed it the guy said he didn't know and that I needed to pay him 150 dollars cash only because the credit card machine wasn't working. As you can tell from other reviews this is a lie that they tell everyone. Clearly there are illegal practices going on here. I don't know how they still have a towing license with how many people have had similar experiences with them. Stole my friends car out of the Park Ave parking lot, that had been validated/paid for by the restaurant we were eating at. Car was validated from 6:20-8:20, and was towed at 7:15. When they actually answered the phone after 10 attempts the man was rude, belligerent, condecending. When my friends showed up at the tow lot to get their car, the operator essentially laughed at them as he said it was returned to the lot they parked in. More than an hour after first contact. Ridiculous. The city showed not being contracting this company to manage its parking lots if this is the way people get treated after they STEAL THEIR CARS! read more

Towed my friends car when they had over an hour left of parking that they paid for. We had to call ten times before finally getting through to them, and when we did the man on the phone was rude and condescending. He said they would have to pay $150 to get the car released even though they had effectively stolen it. We threatened to call the police and they towed the car back to the parking lot but didn't tell us, so my friends arrived at the tow company to pay the money, fully intending to dispute it with the city to get it waived, just to be told they had to go back to the original lot. ZERO STARS. These degenerates are a bunch of scam artists. The closest signage was 500ft away from where I parked. I was parked for 3 hours and my car vanished. Called the number and some 100 year old moron answered the phone and played dumb. They tow your car 2 miles down the road to some rundown garage with zero signs posted anywhere because everyone involved with this business is illiterate. I drove around the back to find a homeless guy camped out in a make shift dog house located behind a locked fence. I finally got his attention because he was busy smoking cigarettes and drinking a 40oz. and he informed me that it was $151 CASH ONLY for him to unlock the gate so I could get my vehicle back. So, I wiped my ass with the cash before handing it to him through a crack in the gate (like I was paying a ransom) and he took it. He then proceeded to unlock the gate but couldn't operate the keys because his dirty ass fingernails were 3 inches long. The moral of the story is don't leave your house. read more

I thought he was rude when I called to ask pricing questions about my tow after he accepted the bid from my roadside assistance. He could've been frustrated while driving and answering calls, but could be better if he had an office person to answer customers rather than doing double duty. You're stuck with them if it's the only company available, but luckily, if you will, my tow was not emergent so I canceled and called roadside assistance to find me someone else. read more

Not that any of these negative reviews do anything, clearly, as they are still somehow in business. But I just called trying to track down the vehicle of my deceased brother. The man on the phone was so insanely rude that I almost started sobbing. He yelled at me and said he wasn't going to waste his time going back and forth with questions, saying he "doesn't THINK" they have the car even though I was told that is where it is located. Doesn't think? Maybe you can actually check? If you lose compassion that quickly for another human being who's family member just died in under a 2 minute phone call, you should not only not be in business, you should question whether you are a person capable of existing in society. If I could give negative stars I would. I actually work with another tow company and we have towed several of these trucks owned by Towbusters towing over the years. The equipment is not road safe. The drivers are clueless and in many cases they have been arrested for non license or other traffic related stops. They're rude to customers and give other towing companies a bad name. They will remove your car from parking lots even if there for legit reasons. Beware! These guys are the bottom of the barrel. Just towed one a few days ago that was drunk and tried switching seats while being stopped by an officer. You want a 30 dollar tow then call these guys. My boyfriend's car broke down very late at night. The insurance company called Towbuster's to come and help tow the car. After waiting for over an hour, it took the insurance company calling Towbuster's to find out they were "intending to cancel the tow." Absolutely atrocious. Was a paying customer at Mark's Texas Hots last night, and came out to see my car had been towed. Completely unexplainable. After paying for an Uber to get there, I explained to the guy that we were paying customers at Mark's Texas Red Hots, and his exact words were "I could give less of a fuck" and demanded $144 for my car back -- even though they were in possession of it for maybe 25 minutes. BEWARE!!!! On April 8th I was towed from East and Alexander. I called after the club was let out and Lisa told me they had the car and it's $150 cash only. I told her that is not allowed and illegal and does the licensing bureau know about that?She told me the machine was down and not working and that's what Greg told her. I drove out there and asked to speak to Greg and was told he wasn't there. I told them it was illegal not to except credit. I let then know I was calling the licensing bureau on Monday to talk to Chris and report them. All of a sudden he told me they can take credit. I told them I needed a receipt of the transaction and ask for his name and it happens to Greg the whole time. I still am going to report him to the bureau because he was still telling people behind me that it was cash only. From what the officers told me this has been an ongoing problem and they get called up there all the time. My car was stolen and towed by this company to their lot, that by itself seems a little strange to me since it was reported stolen over a week prior to this engagement, however, they released my stolen car with stolen plates to the culprit. That's utterly ridiculous and when confronted they claim that it's their common practice to hand over vehicles if you've got cash and keys. If your car needs to get towed and they show up to the scene CALL THE POLICE IMMEDIATELY or risk losing your car to John Doe and go through with the same headache as I have. Agree with the other comments. I am currently having an issue with the apartment complex next door. There is no signage on apartment with the property management name and or phone number. The only visible sign is this towing company. I called to get the name and number for the owner of the building and he was immediately hostile with me in the phone. Yes admittedly I was upset when I called. (I've already spent over $500 because someone in the complex is throwing trash into my yard and getting my dog sick.) He asked me why he should give me the information and when I said his number was the only visible number on the building to call, and that I just wanted the property management company name and number, he told me "I'll shove it up your a$$" before hanging up on me. (For the record the phone call lasted 1min and 46 seconds) it took that long to yell at me and escalate the conversation to the point he felt the need to tell me he would shove it up my ass. read more

Towbuster were called for a tow to the garage from my home. I live on a five lane road. Instead of calling a flatbed, the car was towed out in the middle of a busy highway during lunchtime when traffic is the busiest. There was a dip at the end of the driveway. They dropped the car on the dip knocking muffler loose. It then dragged down the street leaving a long metal scrape in front of my house on the newly paved road. Driver was rude and unprofessional and supervisor wasn't much nicer. Supervisor admitted to not giving the driver the address to the shop to despite being provided the information by my insurance company. In addition to needed repairs, additional repairs will be needed for this drivers incompetence.... read more

These uneducated morons actually towed me from a parking lot that housed about 5 businesses. Because I wasn't in the business ( pita pit) at the time and was in Starbucks instead, they towed me because that spot wasn't a "Starbucks spot! " There were no spots available in this lot at 9:25 Am for Starbucks but 15 feet from Starbucks there was... I parked there and at 9:30 , by their records, they towed me. I called them and they said they didn't care if I was a customer at Starbucks and that they aren't giving me my truck back until I paid $140. They screamed at me over the phone and hung up. I walked 3.5 miles to get my truck out and had to wait another 15 minutes in 30degree weather for one of their guys to let me in, then they don't take CC "their machine is broken". Had to go get cash in crack neighborhood! Heaven forbid you give someone their vehicle back for the 20 min it took you to load it and drive it 3.5 miles. Worst tow truck company ever. My car battery died and they sent a guy out within 20 mins. Not bad, but he was horrible. He was impatient with me telling me "of it doesn't jump start now then I can't do anything". He let the battery charger sit on the battery for 1 minute and said it should work and there's something wrong with my car. I told him to leave and called to help me out and fixed all my problems. I would rate them no stars if I could. I had my car towed a couple days ago. I specified that my car was not running correctly and they sent a flat bed to get my car. After my car was picked up and on the way to its destination; Towbuster called me and said I have to pay $40.00 because I had a flat tire and they had to winch the car. Seems odd that I had to pay an extra $40 because they "winched" my car. There is only one way to get a car onto a flat bed.. A WINCH! They sent the flat bed, they used the flat bed and the driver took it no problem. I don't see why I had to pay for this "Extra Service" when there was no "Extra Service".
