Incredibly disappointed with service at Woburn,MA location. I scheduled an appointment 5 days prior to when I was going in for a tire rotation. I arrived early for my appointment only to be told that they needed to re schedule because my appointment wasn't an emergency. Are you kidding me!!! I was angry and upset. I did ask why I should trust that they would honor another appointment if they wouldn't honor this one. I left and had a great experience at the Tewksbury location the next day. Tom told me it would take up to 2 hours to replace them and, as I was puttering around the nearby mall 45 minutes, I got a text that it was ready. They mounted four tires for me about a year ago... one day later my front left tire fell off in an intersection (water st and Elliot) ... town fare tire claimed they were not at fault, nearly got me killed in the center of an intersection, car towed by the town $$$ and I had to purchase a new car because of the damage. My daughter purchased 3 tires from this location. That was on Monday. Tuesday early evening we noticed one of the new tires was completely flat....rim on the ground flat. One of the others almost the same. Thankfully my neighbor was able to put air in them so she could return to the location. They looked at the tires and told her the valve stems had not been sealed. They would fix it but did she need the car right away?. Really????? You screwed up!!!! She ended up walking 1 1/2 hours for them to correct the problem. What if this had happened on the highway????? Personally anytime I have had to take my car in for anything, it typically ends frustration. This visit, that was not the case thanks to Tom as he was extraordinary! I brought my vehicle here after feeling like I was being jerked around by another independent local tire shop. These guys were awesome! I was treated kind fairly and everything was explained to me. They replaced all four of my TPMS sensors and did an alignment for less than half of what the other place was charging. I should've bought my tires from these guys. Town fair tire has good prices and can turn you car around pretty quickly. The downside here is that the customer service is embarrassing. I'm not expecting top notch service at auto shops, but I do expect to be acknowledged as a human being. When you walk into this store they don't even say "Hi" or if you've been standing in front of them for five minutes, "sorry for the delay, I'll be with you shortly". Doesn't seem like it takes much effort to acknowledge someone... If this location just hired one person who could greet customers and smile as they walk in, the experience here would be much more pleasant. read more

Terrible! I've given the Danvers store multiple chances and every time they have failed miserably. Over the summer I came in to switch over my summer/winter rims. Waited over 3 hours and then when my car was finally ready I looked at my summer rims only to find out they had scratched every single one and didn't even have to decency to tell me. After 20min of explaining this to the manager in a rage he finally said they would "repaint" my $1000 rims which would take about a week. Fine but I was still very dissapointed by their lack of respect for my wheels in the first place. Now, it's time for the ol summer/winter switch again....the only reason town fair gets 1 star is because they offer free seasonal tire switches. I came in first thing in the morning and was told "it's a 3 hour wait" so I scheduled an appointment for later in the day which I was told meant it should be a quick process. I arrive at my appointment at 4:30, 2 hours later I look outside to see they haven't even brought my car in yet! I ask the manager why and all I get is "well there's 6 cars in front of you so it's going to be a while" why did I make an appointment then!!!!! Useless read more

Needed to have my summer tires mounted. I had brought it to Town Fair Tire and they gave me the runaround about not changing a car that has wheel studs or spacers installed. Wasted my entire Saturday. I brought it down to Firestone later that night and found that they work on Sundays and they could fit me in and that studs and spacers weren't going to stop them from doing the job. It's funny because they did the job last year without a problem... though they lost my center cap on one of my wheels. I didn't notice until the next day. Also, we brought my wife's car there on a separate occasion because she got a nail in the tire. They said they couldn't repair it and they couldn't acquire the OEM tire... so they sold us this very overpriced Nexen tire. 92 days later, my wife picked up another nail. we brought it back because they had a Lifetime Free Replacement Road Hazard guarantee. We were told that this was not the case and it was a service I had to buy... I went after them pretty hard on this because they said the flat could not be repaired... and they tried to sell us ANOTHER tire. After raising hell for about a half hour, they came back and said "Oh, we repaired it, it's holding air fine now..." at that point, I told them I wanted the lifetime road hazard plan put on this tire and I'll pay for it, even though the site says it's free... So, now I have some road hazard insurance on a crappy Nexen generic tire that will end up bringng me back to this awful place should it pick up another nail... Never again. read more

While the price was cheap, I found the staff very rude. I had a flat tire and had them replace it. The job was done correctly, but they never out my hubcap back on, and they did not put the donut in the correct spot in my trunk, they just tossed it in. It also took them two hours to do the hire change, but they did not tell me this until I asked and after I had paid. I also asked them to fill up one of my tires, they did not do it at all. I normally go to another place for tires, but this was the closest place, and I was in a pinch. I would not go here again. While the good price does count for something, the lack of service and laziness over shadows the price. read more

A little generous on the stars, but 3 stars always looks bad to me, when really this place is just fine. Town Fair does an online price match service which will usually beat the price of any online competitor once you add in their shipping charges. They did this for me in August. I scheduled and rescheduled appointments (need the vehicle for work), so finally had it done in November. Since then the price online actually went up about $10 per tire, but this didnt matter for them. Installation was only $60 and it all comes with road hazard protection and all the good stuff you'd usually get at a Town Fair. Plus they have locations all over New England. I did want the white lettering version of the tire and was a little dissapointed when the blackwalls where put on, but I'm pretty sure this brand isn't made in whitewall anymore anyways. I'd recommend the place, the manager (Dan, I think) was really good about getting my order done. read more

I feel terrible. I've used town fair tire for years. Purchased all of my tires there. Lately I've noticed the service has deteriorated. I purchased extended warrantifor all of my family's tires .Even with an appointment you have to leave your car there the whole day. They don't have a shuttle service to get you anywhere. So if you do use town fair tire you also need to own a fleet of cars. Any suggestions to help town fair tire to be more user-friendly? read more

These guys rock. I showed up needing air in my tires, not being able to find an operating air pump at a local gas station, in addition to needing replacement of missing caps on two wheel stems. They are terrible. Sell you $1500 in new tires, 2 weeks later tell you they can't fix a flat. Even after their fake "flat tire guarantee", says they will. Then they tell you that you have to make an appointment days later. This after their out of state call center says you can go over and do a walk in, only to show up and they say we don't do walk ins. They price match, they do what they can to save you money, they honor road-hazard warranties without any hassle whatsoever. seriously. I brought my 2007 Grand Cherokee in there on Saturday 2:00 P.M. made the appointment 4 days prior got there at 1:45 P.M. took @ 1 hour before they drove my truck into the bay it needed a TPMS STEM this part tells you on your dashboard if your tires are low on air...i was told it was going to be $ 16.98 with tax, not bad i called someone else and given a price much higher.......... it took @ 45 minutes the problem was another one of my tires needed another TPMS STEM they would have to order more made the appointment for the following Friday 4:30 P.M. got there at 4:15 P.M. the truck went 15 minutes later and was done @ 35 minutes later because i had to wait awhile and come back a second time their was no charge for the second time saved $ 17.00 dollars. The place is VERY busy so don't think you can walk right in and you will be taken care of even though my appointment was Friday i called Monday and said i could come today? they said it could be a 3 HOUR wait...................just letting you know. read more

I initially did some research online figuring out which tires I wanted. Town Fair had the best price and had them in stock in my size -- pretty impressive since they were a high performance and sporty. Great first experience. After 13 months, I hit a curb in a low lit area under repair--gouging the sidewall. Jay, the service manager, sold me a new tire, quickly replaced the old one, and got me back on the road. A month later I drove over a screw, puncturing the brand new tire. What awful luck! Jay was willing to give me a break, though. Still bummed I was going to have to pay a bunch of money, yet again. Jay called me 15 minutes later to tell me he did some research and Continental had a special "road hazard warranty" to replace the tire (despite my refusal to buy road hazard insurance initially). And this was 15 minutes after closing on a Saturday night!! This guy goes the extra mile. Even the crew in back was incredibly personable, savvy and helpful. This Town Fair deserves 2 thumbs up! And this was a relatively bad situation I was in (hitting curbs and construction screws). On a regular day, I've taken my girlfriend's car here for regular maintenance and they have been great as well. These guys really value customers. read more

I saw that this place deleted my review so i thought i would re-write it. One of the worst places I've ever been to. I made an appointment and was overcharged for tires, then on the day of my appointment the guy who TOOK my appointment and all of my information made me wait over 4 hours just to get my tires fixed, and said there wasn't "any sign of me having an appointment". When I left the store, one rim of my tires wasn't even placed properly. I was eventually able to get it fixed but could tell that one employee was blatantly racist and let so many customers ahead of me before even getting my tires fixed. Find somewhere else to get tire replacements/parts if you don't want to get ripped off. read more

There's nothing more frustrating than being sold a product, that product subsequently failing/being discontinued, and then not having the business back the product. In August, I was sold four tires following one flat tire (my car is all-wheel drive, and unfortunately all of them needed to be replaced). Six months later, I ended up with a flat tire. Thankfully, I knew that the salesman at Town Fair Tire had sold me a warrantee, and I was more than ecstatic to drive my car with the spare on in, for my free replacement tire. Lo and behold, "that tire has been discontinued", and "you now need four NEW tires" and "I'll give you as much as I can for the warrantee". The current store manager, Jonas, (who has supposedly been there two months) did everything that he could to rectify the situation, unfortunately the damage was already done due to the initial purchase in August. Jonas informed me that I should have never been sold the tires that I had back in August, and that the store employee should have known better than pushing me into a crappy tire that had a high likelihood of being discontinued. At the time, it did seem to us, that the store employee just wanted to move those tires off the floor, and that they "seemed like a good product" for me. They are the TIRE PROFESSIONALS and should be EDUCATING THEIR CONSUMERS ON THEIR PRODUCT. I appreciate Jonas going out of his way to help me, but I'm beyond pissed that I spent 600$ in August for four tires and here I am buying four new ones just over six months later.
