The mechanics were knowledgeable in diagnosing what caused my flat tire and showed me what they had found. Josh went above and beyond in finding the best possible way to get me back on the road after informing me my flat tire was due to damage on my wheel (as a result of a different mechanic). He was precise and knowledgeable- exhausting all resources to search for creative solutions that were cost/time effective and practical. Josh used language that I could understand when informing me of what he was looking for and why. All the while, he maintained a friendly and personable relationship. Josh greeted me warmly by name each time I returned to the store and promoted my safety in every service recommendation. The staff in the front of the house mirrored these characteristics and the individuals I met in the shop were honest and competent. I will continue to have my vehicle serviced here and found the wait times to be modest, despite the complaints of some guests while waiting. I purchased a set of tires and additional services totaling $1,100.00. A week later, on the day of my scheduled appointment at 8:00 AM, the store opened late. Several walk-in customers arrived, and I was informed that my service was being prepared. However, the walk-in customers' vehicles were prioritized, and I observed that my vehicle remained unattended in the parking lot while I waited in the waiting room. Despite checking the service monitor, my vehicle was not listed. It appeared that I was at the back of the queue, and my truck was still where I had parked it. I attempted to cancel the service, but a representative stated it would take 45 minutes to finish my vehicle. then they brought it in the service area. After waiting for two hours, as indicated on the monitor, the walk-in customers were serviced first. My $1,100.00 purchase was treated with disrespect. My wife and I have been customers of Town Fair Tire for decades; however, this experience has ended our patronage. The representative said they will only install a tube if it sold by them in case it gets pinched or something? FAILED IN A BIG WAY. Talked with Kai 10/22/25 and got a price for 4 tires, Mastercraft 275/60/20 $1,593.39. I stated the price match policy and he agreed. Price match was going to be $245.00 a tire. I went down to the store on Sat 10/25/25 and met Kai. Kia matched the price at 245.00 a tire from the 290.00 original price. Then I showed him I was a Senior and a Veteran. Kai then asked Assistant Manager Christian how to incorporate the Veteran discount and Christian Barked, Yes I mean Barked, Oh NO we can't combine them, we won't make any money. I then showed them a quote for $1130.71 I also had to match and I got nothing but excuses for why it could not be done from Kai stating the answers were from management. I said then you will lose the sale then Christian refused a second time. I walked out thoroughly discussed. I called back and talked with Kai and asked him to talk to the Store manager and see what could be done before I called the corporate office and hit Google. Then Kai told me the Manager was standing right there during this. Kai said he will try to do what he can. Kia called me shortly afterwards and then stated they will match the quoted price I showed them at $1130.71 but could only do $1206.27 a little more by 75.00. Alignment was included tho. I agreed and asked for the quote to be e mailed to me and Kia agreed. The next day I call and Kai is out so I asked Christian for the quote, he said he had to work on it but will send it. The next day I called again, asked Christian where the quote was and he stated, Seeing as tho this is an in house special and we are selling these to you under cost I can NOT give you a copy of the quote. I gave up at this point. I called TFT in Norwich and five minutes on the phone we were all set, no fuss, no muss. Price matched within 4.00 of Dayville. Set up the appt for Saturday 11/01/25 and it was a done deal. Dayville should be ashamed how they treated a Senior and a Veteran in the manner they did, They were worried more about their P&L and $$$ than a Person, a Customer, a Veteran and a Senior. Kai was great but Management in that location need a class on Customer service and their price matching policies without the attitudes. Recently went in to have a new set of tires put on my car. I was told that there were mechanical issues preventing a full alignment being done and that I could fix it myself or have someone else repair it. So, I set up an appointment for another mechanic to look at it. He said that there was no mechanical issue and had no problem with correctly adjusting the alignment. He also showed me that the tires were installed incorrectly at Town Fair Tire - - all with sidewall labels "inside" facing outside, which affects siping and performance, and presumably safety. Therefore, after paying an additional diagnostic fee and alignment charge to have someone else fix a problem that should have been immediately addressed at the source, and after having to pay additionally to have tires installed properly when this should have been taken care of at the point of sale, I have decided that I will no longer be doing business with Town Fair Tire. read more

Went to do a tire rotation myself and discovered my tire was originally mounted incorrectly by these guys. Brand new tires bought last April/May time and ones already junk. The entire inner side is worn down to nothing. I'm aggravated I couldn't feel it driving, but I'm even more aggravated that something simple couldn't have been done properly. I got my oil changed today at a local service station and they said I needed new tires badly - but of course they were very overpriced. I called Goodyear Tire and they were a little cheaper but my tires were out of stock, and when they got them in they said I'd have to leave my car all day. Nope. Then I called Town Fair Tire in Killingly and they had my tires, they were cheaper than both of the others and said I could come right in... and less than two hours later I had 4 new tires on my car. Wish I could give a zero! When you walk in no one acknowledges you. They stand at the computer or wonder around while 7 people are in line. You always wait at least 10 to 15 mins if not more just to check your car in. Even if your the only customer in line. No one that works there has ever in my 10 visits there. (Cause I bought tires there I have to go there for rotations and balances to keep my warranty) has had and huddle or knowledge of customer service. I will never buy tires there again. Cause being dismissed and ignored is beyond frustrating. Pay a few extra bucks somewhere else where they treat you like the customer that keeps their business open. read more

Made a reservation for a Saturday and he had me come in at 730am even though they don't open up until 8am. However, he was there to open the doors and come out to greet me. I called today and asked if they could mount/balance two tires that I already had. (I bought a car that came with a set of wheels & tires that hadnt been mounted yet.) I'll withhold their name, but the person that answers asks if I already have tires, and I answer that yes I do. She then asks if they are new, and I respond that yes they are brand new tires. She then tells me that no, they won't mount them because it's their liability policy not to. Before I could respond inform her that they are still bound in the manufacturer's packaging, she hung up without so much as a thanks or goodbye. If it's a shop's policy not to mount tires they haven't sold... And they already know they haven't sold me the tires, why bother asking if they're new? I could understand that policy for used tires, 100%. But they're brand new, in packaging, and with that logic they shouldn't be mounting them on used wheels either. Looking at other reviews it seems that this is usually a good shop to deal with. But when a salsperson wont consider my question and rudely hangs right up on me, that's a bad first impression and now it's time to look elsewhere. It's too bad beause I was hoping to find a tire shop to work with long into the future as I have 4 vehicles and 3 trailers. Thats quite a few tires and when it comes to purchasing tires in the future, another shop will receive that business and my recommendation. I get it, policy is policy. WOW! I didn't even think that customer service like this still existed! From the moment I walked in the door to the moment I drove out the service was impeccable! Not only did they work with me personally to determine what tires I needed but they ALSO found tires that were possible for my budget. They took the time to explain the tire and what it meant to my driving experience it wasn't like every other tire place that just shoves the most expensive tire at you with scare tactics. Went to get tires put on and they said we needed new lug nuts and if we got them they would finish the job. We went back and were told they "tried" to put it on and it was the wrong size. I was in the car and they stood by trying for maybe 2 seconds. After that we tried putting them on ourselves and they fit... they didn't want to finish the job after balancing the tires. Don't waste your time. I had a slow leak in my front tire (flat in 8 hours). They were nice enough to squeeze me in. After 15 minutes they came back and stated there were no punctures but maybe the rim leaked. They put some goo on the rim and didn't charge me anything. Flat 8 hours later. Went to a different garage. They put the tire under water and found the obvious puncture. Please, if you need a repair, go to a real garage. read more

Hello. I have been a devoted customer to Town Fair tire for many years now. I have four vehicles in my family that I maintain. I have always been very satisfied with the friendliness, prices and service that I received at the Town Fair Tire at 18 Putnam Turnpike, of Dayville CT until today. On today's visit, all they needed to do was to re-torque the lug nuts after driving the car for 25 miles after having new tires installed. They have a monitor in the waiting area where you can observe the work being performed on the vehicle. After bringing my vehicle in the service bay, at no time did the technician jack up the car or apply any tool to the wheels to check the torque. The amount of time that my vehicle was in the bay, was only a few minutes. When I brought this to the attention of the counter clerk, he indicated that I must have looked away for a minute; which wasn't the case. The counter clerk and service technician made a joke of this incident and he continually stated that the re-torque was performed. I was insulted when they found humor in this. I am 67 and I am not blind. That work was NOT performed. When I went outside to get my vehicle, I looked at the lug nuts and there was no disruption of the road dirt on the wheel lugs which confirms that no tool was placed on the lug nuts. I am having second doubts about returning to that store again. read more

I had an older (but good) tire moved from the rear to the front to put on snow tires and the tire was flat 3 hours later, had to call AAA. Inspected the tire to find that the valve stem cap appeared to be hammered and not screwed on causing the cap debris into the valve stem - bingo , it leaked. Brought it back only to be told that they cannot work on tires older than 2 years. Big question - if you buy a 40,000 mile tire and you drive 10,000 miles per year, what then? ALMOST CRIMINAL! Town Fair Tire Dayville CT Bought a set of 4 blizzak tires from the Dayville Ct store in Nov 2016. I called on Friday 05/12/17 asking for an appointment to change my tires over to the summer tires. I ask if there is a Monday appointment available at 4 pm or after. Gentleman say we have a 930 am or 10am. I said no, do you have an appointment after 4 pm . "Oh everyone wants the morning appointment". No I would like an appointment after 4 pm. "Oh none available". Ok is there any available on Tuesday ? Yes there is. Great I'll be there for 4 pm. 4pm Tuesday. Counter person want to see my tires. Ok. We look at one of the front and he says it's down to the wear bar. And Town Fair Tire wont put it back on next winter. (Blizzak tires have 2 wear bars one for the use as a snow tire and then the normal wear bar like every other tire.) I point out that this is for the snow tire part. Oh ok. Now we look at the old tires. Two I feel need replacing and so does the tech. Ok can you get this brand? "Where did you get them? They must be some club tire" I really don't know came with the van. " Ok I can put them on as long as you sign a waiver" Fine in the mean time I'll look around and try and get a pair. We go inside and he writes it up. "That will be $49 something and tax" . I ask what about the free change over from the Snow Tires ? " Oh that's only if the summer tires are on different rims". I said no took my keys and left. Lesson learned. 1 You are a captive once you are there . With nothing more than upselling. 2 Town Fairs free change over is $49 + 3 Go anywhere else. read more

Stopped in today as I had a slow leak in my tire & wanted it repaired or switched with my spare. Walked in & was acknowledged by employees even though they were busy, right off the back, great customer service. The gentleman came out to my jeep to see tire and said he would have it looked at in under an hour. He also explained IF it was just a repair with a patch, what the cost would be and if anything else they'd come out to talk to me. There was even a waiting area with a tv, water & snacks. I was pleasantly surprised that it took the exact time I was promised and with the repair it was a lifetime guarantee. Highly recommend this place for tires & servicing. read more

We have had 3 vehicles serviced here. Invested a lot of time and $ on winter and summer tires. I have NEVER been dissatisfied. The people are AWESOME. I have had some minor complaints and been overly satisfied with the way they have been handled. My center cap fell off after installation of new tires. No idea if it was my fault or theirs. They purchased a brand new one and replaced it ASAP. Do not listen to the petty crowing's of the above reviews. This place is great!! read more

Four of my brand new tires kept going flat every 3-4 days. I brought my vehicle to this store and Kevin was polite but Josh was condescending and rude. He explained that even though I didn't have flat tires every 3-4 days before I got my new tires, it was my rims and not the tires or valve stems that was making the tires go flat. I would need to buy new rims to get the problem fixed. The staff changed the valve stems anyways. They promised call backs from the regional manager. This did not happen. When I followed up, they could not remember what they promised and had not done as promised. Josh hung up on me instead of resolving my dispute. Quote from Josh: "let me tell you how I will resolve this. Hold on one sec.." and then click (hang up). He had my number but did not call back. This is highly unprofessional behavior. He insisted the problem was with my rims and not the tires, however, after replacing the valve stems, the tires have not gone flat again. I recommend visiting a store where you are treated in a professional manner with knowledgable staff. Trying to pass blame where it does not belong and treating customers disrespectfully is a big red flag. I would recommend going somewhere else where staff will do what they promise, treat customers with respect and maintain professional behavior if you need to get your tires taken care of. read more
