This review is for the Orange, CT location. I came to this location as I had a VERY bad experience at their much closer Branford location. This issue involved a slow leak which TFT would repair for free as I purchased the tires from them. I'll spare the details of the issue, I just want to say Jason at TFT Orange took my issue with concern and without trying to sell me something I didn't need - unlike the Branford location. I know I've given not so great reviews to town fair tire before. In the past, I've purchased tires and snow tires because of the free snow tire change over which isn't really free because there are other charges when you do that. However, this time they did pretty good for me And Mike Hardy, and the other workers discovered that my wheels were rotted on the inside and that was the reason why I had a flat tire because I thought I was going in there just needing a tire however I ended up having to replace the wheels which would have been replaced anyway and my truck looks really nice now with nice new wheels on it cost a few dollars more than I wanted to spend that day but all in all I'm happy with the way the truck looks With the new wheels on it and I didn't have to buy new tires. read more

Got a quote of $1434 with a rebate of $100 on 4 all season tires with alignment and balancing. Went to Star tire down the road and got 4 all season tires with alignment and balancing for $800. Town fair tire isn't fair to your wallet. Shopping around is strongly advised! 10/10 Would not recommend! read more

Check yiur tires before you leave. I bought four Michelin all-season tires on Jan. 5. It was dark when they were finished installing the tires, so I didn't get a close look at the tires. Next day, discovered that Town Fair had installed Nexum tires, not sure what model, but definitely not an all season ones based on the amount of tread. Granted, Town Fair rectified the situation and installed the correct tires the next day. But was a hassle having to go back a second time to get the right tires. read more

What a mistake. Took my daughter's car to have new tires put on new oem rims. The people there know soooo little about their business that they didn't know the new alloy rims required DIFFFERENT LUG NUTS than the steel rims they took off. Because of their incompetence, I sent my daughter on a road trip to upstate NY thinking she would be fine. When she returned she told me she heard a clunking noise and could I drive the car (I am a former owner of an auto repair shop for 32 years). When I drove it I new immediately there was a problem with the wheels. I got out and checked the lug nuts and of the twenty nuts on the car FIFTEEN WE'RE LOOSE ENOUGH TO REMOVE BY HAND!!! Needless to say I was livid! I went to toyota and got the correct nuts and installed them and my daughter went off again. When I called the manager (Adam) of the store afterwards he began by telling me unequivocally that the two rims did NOT use different nuts. When I informed him that I just installed the correct nuts his response was "oh, if they have a shoulder on them they're different." his next course of action was to say that "we just installed what you gave us." insinuating it was MY FAULT FOR HIS AND HIS EMPLOYEE'S LACK OF KNOWLEDGE ABOUT THE MOST FUNDEMENTAL ASPECT OF THE TIRE BUSINESS!!! I am reaching out to corporate with this disgraceful story only grateful that my daughter wasn't harmed by their incompetence. Town Fair is obviously hiring incompetent managers and installers. I dropped the car off with 4 TPMS sensors and picked it up with only 3 sensors and a cheap air cap instead of the 4th sensor. When I pointed this out to the store clerk he dodged and finally said "How do I know that you weren't missing the sensor before? I would have sold you one." Long story short...waited 2 hours with my autistic son to be told my tire was patched and good to go. 3 days later I have a flat tire. I then went to the Derby location where my tire was patched. I was told there was no sign of a previous patch. My tire was holding air due to the fix-a-flat my husband had put in the tire. 2 hours for nothing...the Orange location is horrible. Just walked out of Townfair Tire, Orange, CT. Went there to get a tire repaired. When I walked in the Service guy asked if he could help me and when I said I needed a tire repaired, he responded with a flat out "No!". The other guy decided to take a look at the tire and then told me that the tire could not be repaired. (it had a screw in it). Said if it was pumped up, it would explode. (mind you I did that last evening and it did not explode, but hey, they are the experts.) Then I asked about purchasing another tire, and of course out of his mouth first thing "The cheapest tire we have..." and that I could not purchase just one tire for an all wheel drive. Then I proceeded to tell him that it was not for my car but a Honda Accord. Changed his tune then. Asked him for his next best tire and he gave me the price, but of course they don't have any tires in stock at their store. So I asked him to inquire about a different store who "awesomely" had many different tires in stock. Will buy my tires somewhere else! Purchased tires for myself and my brother, we spent HUNDREDS of dollars. When my tires were done, they left my car and seats with oil stains. Eric knew exactly which mechanic was responsible since it has happened in the past. He and Adam mentioned they would refund me the cost of detailing my car, so I provided them a copy of the receipt. Two month's later they say there was a mix up and they will send out my receipt and issue another refund. Needless to say another 6 months later I have yet to get a refund. read more

I will never go back to Town Fair Tire in Orange, CT!! Received tires as a birthday present. My boyfriend bought them for me thru his business. Put them on in June last year, was back 3 times to have them balanced. The 2nd time I went back I asked to remove the beads and use traditional weights, they agreed that would work. When they handed me my keys, they told me they removed the beads and put the weights on. I drove away again with a shake. Made another appt and went back to find out the beads were never removed! When they handed me my keys again, I was told they now fixed them and removed all the beads. I drove to GA from CT a few weeks ago. The back tires started to shake so I went to a local tire shop in Athens GA to have them checked out. Turns out Town Fair Tire DID NOT remove the beads!!! When they told me they had for the two times!!!! I was lied to TWICE! I went to the Orange store to get a refund for the cost to have them fixed in GA ($120) and they will not refund me. They said I did not pay for installation due to the tires being purchased through my boyfriends business. I was NOT asking for a refund for installation!! I was asking to be refunded for a repair that fixed a problem they created! I called customer service and they gave me the same answer. They don't care about you as a customer, they were not nice and started to blame me for the issue. I would not recommend Town Fair Tire in Orange for your tires. They do not tell you the truth about your install and it could be unsafe to drive your car from their parking lot. As a result they also lost my boyfriends business over a $120 and poor customer service. read more

I came in after denting my rim in a BIG pothole in NYC. They bent the tire back and sealed the leak in the tire for NO CHARGE and within 20 min. Not only that, but everyone who was involved in helping me was very kind and suggested the most frugal options for possibly getting a new tire, suggesting I go to a recommended local junkyard and get a new tire there. After I got a replacement tire at the recommended junkyard, I put it on the car and came in to ensure that it was on securely and I had the exact same experience. They didn't charge me anything, treated me so nicely, and I was out in 15 min. I HIGHLY recommend going to Town Fair Tire for any needs/questions you have or even have them check up something with a wheel or tire. Their service is top notch and they are great people. read more

My name is Jerry Green and the service was so impressive that I had to come back a month later - just to make sure that I posted a response. Due to some family losses this response is a little late. The customer service and level of professionalism in this location is beyond impressive. Long story short - a few months ago (April) at another location, (which we will leave unnamed) ; sold me tires for my Dodge charger without putting it to the system [back door Job]. Took over 900$ from me and it was untraceable. I showed him messages from the employee who is now terminated and informed the manager I would drive back to the location that helped me he told me don't worry it "we will take care of you, & I apologize for the inconvenience"! I took my car here after being told by Pep Boys that they could not rotate my tires that had 32 000 miles on them cause they all had to be replaced due to "dry rot." They would be happy to replace them at this Pep Boys. I took my car back and went straight to Town Fair tire for a second opinion. Randy came out looked at tires and said he saw no evidence of "dry rot". Took it back today and Town Fair rotated the " rotted tires" for free. I bought my tires here a while back for my Jeep. I drove through a construction area, got a flat and brought in my tire to be patched up since this was where I got the best deal for my tires. It was done in a little over an hour. When I was off work, I came in the next day to pick it up. My cost to fix and put it on was only about 4 bucks. Apparently they're just that awesome that they provide the helpful service to anyone, regardless. Not to mention Randy knew me by name when I walked in the door! Love this place. read more

I've been here twice. The first time was when my neighborhood mechanic referred me to them because they had replaced one of my tires using TF as their supplier. I showed up and asked them to fix or replace the flat tire just based on the word of my mechanic - and TF staff (Tim on the phone, Randy at the counter) didn't even blink. It turned out the tire was repairable, but it wasn't a simple plug. Still, no charge, and they were very courteous. Not even a hint of a grudging 'dammit, we hate warranty work when we can't make a sale' attitude. So I'm now back to replace a tire with 3 bulges (!) and I'm very pleased with the repeat of their positive attitude and their willingness to work within my budget. read more

These guys are great! I just had all 4 tires changed here... I understand how getting new tires comes with a long wait at times... However if you know what you're looking for and make an early appointment it'll cut down that wait time a lot! You can even book online too. Typically I went to Walmart for tires but after sedan tires were put onto my fiancés Kia Sportage we began using Town Fair for all our tire needs and I'm glad we did! They're professional and knowledgeable. I made my appointment a few days in advanced for first thing Saturday morning and I was out in 45mins.
