I had to get 2 new front tires. I was told to go to this particular town fair because of the service. I was not disappointed. Tim helped me the minute I walked in. He found me some good affordable tires and plugged up my back tire. He was knowledgeable and very courteous. So it was worth the drive. I'd highly recommend going to this store to any of my friends. Last night, I left work in the rain and had a "low tire pressure" warning. I didn't realize it was rapidly losing air and soon it was flat. I was near a gas station and filled it with air and called Town Fair. It was 5:50 and they close at 6:00 pm. The gentleman said to come as quick as I could and they would help me. I rolled in at 5:59. They took my car immediately. Within 15 minutes, I got my car back with a $9 bill. I had punctured my tire and they plugged it. They could have charged me whatever they wanted and I would have gladly paid. This is an ethical company that went beyond to satisfy a customer. They were great and really helped me out in a tough spot. They always have and will continue to get all of our tire related business. Thank you guys. read more

Are you kidding? I'm baffled by the 5 stars from some customers. THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL NIGHTMARE!!!!!!! They totally risked my life...nope not joking! After 3 hours of waiting and listening to two employees arguing about who was going to inform me about my car...they finally alerted me to the fact that they broke one of the lock nuts in half while on the vehicle which means...yes the other half of the bolt was stuck on my wheel...why you ask because they are stupid! They used an impact driver, which by the way there is giant warning sign etched on the side of the nuts warning people that they should always be tightened and loosened by hand only and never use an impact driver. Hey and let's be honest if they can't read, shouldn't they know that since their only job is to work with tires? HUM???? I digress...so as they were handing me the other half of the broken nut and pointing to the wheel containing the other half, they conveniently neglected to tell me I was missing another nut on another wheel as well. I had no idea until the mechanic at another garage, which they sent me to get the half of the lock nut pried off, alerted me to the missing nut. Not to mention the garage did not replace my $80.00 lock nut like I was told they would but instead I had to call Town Fair and ask them to replace it since they broke it in the first place. To make matters worse, when I arrived to get the nuts replaced they ordered the wrong lock because for some reason they had me saved in the system as a totally different make and model of vehicle...even though I reminded them when I ordered the nut over the phone. By the end of this nightmare I had to wasted almost two hours getting the nut pried off and an additional eight hours on a Saturday waiting for the right lock to arrive and be put on installed. So let's recap people...they broke an impossible lock nut while on my car, they forgot a nut on another tire and didn't tell me, then they wasted hours of my time, including an entire Saturday righting their wrong...only to say sorry. I'm pretty sure this place shouldn't be in business. It is sick to think of the many reasons all this happened...perhaps they can't read warning signs or perhaps because I'm a chick they took advantage of my tire ignorance...my guess it's both. Either way I wouldn't send my worst enemy to Town Fair, next time I'll pay a bit more and get your tires from a safe and reputable tire company. read more

I had an excellent straight forward experience. I spent about 45 minutes with an associate who patiently taught me about tires & treads... Which I really did find useful in making decisions. We picked 3 tires for good/better/best and then I left. Over the next two weeks I researched what I had learned, tire technology etc. Boring to some, I don't like to spend big money without consideration! Yesterday I returned and bought 4 "best" tires as recommended. The prices are indeed fair, the advice spot on, and the service personnel seemed competent and efficient. It had been 30 years since I last set foot in a townfair tire... I'm glad to say that I'll never be away like that again. read more

I wanted to get new tpm sensors installed which i had bought online. Because of the new sensors and added weight, i suspected that the tires would need rebalancing as well. So I told them to balance the tires after installing the sensors. I got a call after 4 hours that the car was done. I went to pick up the car only to find out that one of the tires was showing 11 psi on the tpm monitor and was leaking. The others were filled at 40, 37 and 33 (shows how careless they were). I asked them to fix the problem. After giving me an attitude and trying to blame the sensors, they decided to look at it. Their own gauge measured 11 psi and so they then decided to fix it. The cause of the leak was a piece of rubber stuck between the tire and wheel. They fixed that problem and i had to wait another hour and half. Its a good thing i checked because otherwise i would be stuck on the road with a flat tire or worse gotten into an accident because of it.I took the car home that night. The next morning, i drove the car on the highway. The tires were completely off balance and the car was wobbling violently. I took a look and noticed that there were no new wieghts installed anywhere on the wheels. So apparently, they had not balanced them but said they did. I took the car back and asked for a refund. As i expected, they were exteremly rude and did not want to give me a refund. I eventually left and have filed a dispute through the bank for a refund. Please dont waste your time and money and find some other place. read more

Just bought two new tires from these guys and was pleasantly surprised with how quick they were able to get the job done. Took my car in around 2:50 on a Saturday and they had me done before they closed @ 4pm. The guy who helped me seemed knowledgable and he didn't try to talk me into anything ridiculous. I told he what I was looking to spend and worked with me around my budget. He made the recommendation that I replace two tires @ once, but he didn't tell me any crazy lies (your car will fall apart tomorrow) to manipulate me into buying something unnecessary. My only beef about this place was that there aren't any prices on the actual tires in the showroom. That was kinda shady, but I chalk that up more to corporate than this specific location and the guys who work here. read more

I was visiting CT from MD, and noticed a screw buried in a rear tire, and the tire was losing air. Took the car to Town Fair Tire in Orange, without an appointment. Had to get it fixed right away. I went into town fair tire yesterday looking for new wheels and tires. I dealt with James, who literally was the best retail representative I've ever encountered. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and most importantly, he wanted to help me get exactly what I wanted. I was not the easiest customer to deal with since I was not sure exactly what I wanted and on account of the fact that I changed my mind about what I did want about four or five times. James was patient and worked with me over the course of two separate days to find me exactly what I was looking for. I know he had to go out of his way and make extra work for himself in order to get me what I wanted, but he did so without complaint, and while still giving me the best customer service anyone could ask for. I had encounters with several of the other employees as well, including the store manager. Everyone was friendly and helpful, I honestly couldn't think of one bad thing to say about this place even if I tried. Very satisfied with the whole experience and would HIGHLY recommend going to this store if you need tires, wheels, alignment, or really anything tire related. On point through and through, way to go guys! read more

Would give ZERO stars if it were an option. Stupidity and nonchalance are the pillars they apparently support. I was at TFT for 90 mins before they told me there was nothing they could do because my tire was too old. The tech who checked out the tires before sevice said NOTHING about it and then offered no apology or explanation or anything, just wasted my time. Will never be going back to that establishment or any of the other chains. Ridiculous! I understand mistakes happen and things get missed, but saying SORRY usually comes along with a mistake, not NOTHING and not even admitting a mistake was made. No sorry you wasted 2 hours of your time over a conversation our tech should have noticed and told you 5 fu**ing minutes after you walked in the door. No one wants accountability, big fu**ing surprise in today's world where everything is someone else's fault, so fu** Town Fair Tire and fu** the techs who are supposed to know these things. It's not like I went to a random auto store, I went to a TIRE store, and the people pitting together the work orders SHOULD be expected to know tires, shouldn't they? If as an electrician I show up and put together a work order and then proceed to miss something obvious and unhidden, (which is going to add about 40,000% to your total), I'd be held accountable, so the MORONS there shoud be as well. I would give them 0 stars if I had the option. I was driving home to Stamford from New Haven where I go to school and my tire light came on. So, I stopped at town fair in Orange. They told me that the guys in Stamford who put my wheels on had put the wrong lug nuts and that they couldn't do anything about it. They made me drive from Orange to Stamford with basically a flat. I get to Stamford finally and they tell me that my wheels are stock and they are the right lug nuts. The people at town fair in Orange just saw that I had a BMW emblem and assumed they were BMW wheels. All they had to do as either ask me or call the town fair tire in Stamford for all of the information they needed. The men at town fair in Stamford were able to recognize within 5 seconds of looking at my wheels that they were the right lug nuts and that we just but the BMW caps on. But the Orange store said they had no history (and I told them where I got my wheels done) and told me they couldn't do anything. Awful awful customer service. read more
