    Extremely small coleslaw for $5.00!!
    FarmDude T.

Haven't been here in a while but decided to go recently and it was a disappointment. The food was not as good as it used to be or maybe not as good as their newer locations? The coleslaw for $5.00 was enough for barely two bites and it wasn't good. I will not be back.

We are in town to visit my partner's parents, we ordered takeout from this restaurant. Our total order with tip was $155 and some change. Both the 3 piece halibut fish and chips were missing the side and the tartar sauce. I called the restaurant to make it right. The only thing they would do is put my name on file for the next time I come in, I would get free dipping sauces?!?!?!? People work hard for their money, dropping $155 to have 2 meals missing half their items and the owner not care. To me is bad business. The sad thing is the food was really freaking good. However I will never spend another cent here nor with our family!! As a fellow industry worker, this saddens me!!!!

Very good. Ordered delivery as it was a long day. Ordered the pulled pork fries. So delicious and bursting with flavors. The bbq sauce is real distinct and has some real good flavors. Topped with some Cole slaw which is good just by itself as well. Great over all experience. My tummy is pleased.

Lots of gluten free options! The burger was so flavorful and the bun actually tasted good. The nuggets were coated perfectly and the chili cheese fries were just right. Dont forget all the sauces!

Are you seeking a no frills' burger joint?! ++ This is your place!! Do you crave a burger joint that allows you to stack patty upon patty? ++ This is your place!! Do you desire a homemade fry sauce that comes in either regular or spicy variations? ++This is your place!! Does a meal that won't break the bank sound right up your alley? ++This is your place!! Post flight and tummy grumbling, my mom and I chose to grab a quick bite at Toxic Burger. Upon arrival, we were greeted quickly. After browsing the menu, we placed our orders: mom chose a simple hamburger, while I opted for the spicy Cali burger. It was perfectly cooked and served up on a warm toasted bun. The fries were golden fried and lightly salted - just how I like 'em. I can see why my mom chooses to satisfy her burger craving here. After all was said and done, we barely broke $20 for our meals! Whoa. Toxic Burger was definitely a hit!

Intoxicator pictured up close. Also had the spicy cali and the regular cheeseburger.

This place is great! Excellent quality of food, excellent service, affordable prices. So yummy!!! The spicy burger is quite spicy which is just what I wanted. I'll definitely be back next time we're in town.

I stopped in for a drink while my to go order was being made and had a Tiger Bomb, a beer with a shot of soju mixed in. The drink was great, and the service was incredibly hospitable. Even though I was just waiting on a to go order, they offered me complimentary banchan, little bites of cabbage, carrots, and cucumber, to snack on while I drank and waited. That was much more hospitality than I expected from simply picking up food. The prices are very reasonable for what you get. The portions are generous, everything tasted fresh, and the food felt genuinely high quality. The Korean fried chicken is really, really good. I got the Volcano sauce, and it is legitimately hot. Not restaurant spicy. Actually spicy. I eat the spiciest of the spicy food, and this was a good 8 out of 10 for me, which is probably a 15 out of 10 for most people. It has serious heat, but plenty of flavor underneath it. The dry rub chicken balanced it perfectly, with a tangy, acidic, savory flavor that cut through the richness and paired really well with the Volcano sauce. Crispy chicken, acid, spice, and a cold beer is a pretty hard combination to beat. I also got the kimbap with spicy pork, and that was amazing too. The rice and fillings tasted really fresh, the pork had a great savory sweetness and heat, and the vegetables added freshness and texture. Every bite had a little bit of everything. Between the food, Tiger Bomb, complimentary banchan, and service, I was already thinking I had found a new place I really liked. Then I got home. The only real downside was unfortunately the tteokbokki, which is ironic because that was the entire reason I found Tiger Mama. It was literally the term I typed into Yelp that led me there. And this is where the review gets complicated. Flavor wise, it was amazing. The sauce was sweet, tangy, savory, and a little spicy, with that deep gochujang flavor you want from tteokbokki. The fish cakes were tender, plentiful, and full of flavor. There were glass noodles, mandu, and half a hard boiled egg, giving it a lot of different textures. It felt like a more elaborate, modern take on the classic Korean dish. The rice cakes themselves were fantastic. Great size, wonderfully tender and chewy, and soaked in that delicious sauce. Honestly, the tteok I did receive might be the best I have had while dining out. My problem was that I received three of them. Three individual rice cakes. In an $18 order of tteokbokki. That was genuinely disappointing. Tteokbokki was why I came here. It was what I searched for and what drew me in. The menu picture showed plentiful, delicious little rice pillows sitting in sauce, which was exactly what I had been craving. Instead, I got a large serving of glass noodles, fish cakes, mandu, sauce, egg, and three rice cakes in a dish named after the rice cakes. If this had been the only thing I ordered, I could easily see myself leaving a sour one star review and never going back. But that would not represent the experience I had. Everything else was too good. As someone who loves Korean cuisine, both cooking it at home and eating it out, I can tell there is a lot of care put into this food. Even the tteokbokki was excellent in every respect except the rice cake quantity. The sauce was perfect, the fish cakes were great, the mandu was a nice surprise, and the sweet, spicy, tangy, savory flavors worked ridiculously well together. It also pairs really well with a beer. Or six. Unfortunately, I live too far away to have noticed until I got home, and they were already closed. I'll call tomorrow, and based on the service I received, I'm confident they'll make it right. Three rice cakes for $18 was genuinely disappointing, but I'm not going to let what seems like one portioning mistake outweigh an otherwise excellent experience. The food, atmosphere, hospitality, and care put into everything were too good. Tiger Mama is a great addition to the Whit, and I'll absolutely be back. Especially for more tteokbokki. Hopefully next time, more than three.

But we had a meal here where multiple dishes were not well prepared and it seems like something is going amiss with this otherwise great place... It doesn't make sense to serve pajeon (crispy pancake) on a sizzling metal platter. Yes, it's always exciting when a sizzling thing is dropped onto the table, but it char-burned the bottom of the pancake! It was fully black on one side and not edible. I had to ask them to bring a normal plate to pull it off the sizzle platter and save as much of the pancake as we could... but it was too late. To the server's credit, he comped the pancake. The servers are always very nice and fast here. This is the kind of choice that's style over substance, going for presentation that looks flashy but lacks common sense...

We were able to chat with the owner who was friendly and patient with our questions. Often times we prefer to get a few sides of meat instead of a burrito or something with extra toppings. It's always a litmus of how flexible and accommodating a food truck is, and fortunately the owner was able to do that and for a reasonable price. I also got a couple of tacos that were also reasonably priced and very tasty and filling. There was plenty of sitting outside by the food truck including a good bit of covered seating with back support. So no worries there. It may be a bit less accommodating if it was cold or hot out. On top of that, the owner Doreen was incredibly nice and friendly. We had a good time at chatting with her. The food was really good quality and not too salty, which is something that tends to happen with Mexican food. We also tried their homemade cheese sauce, which was also delicious. Last time we came for brunch, we noticed the eggs Benedict no longer has the amazing Parmesan-crusted potatoes. The hollandaise is still decent and the focaccia bread is great, but losing that crispy crust was a big bummer. Today's visit for our usual wings and nachos was even more frustrating. First, they no longer offer ground beef for the nachos. We were told we could substitute steak, but that literally doubles the price of the dish. We opted for chicken instead, which was a steep $7 extra for maybe two ounces of meat. When the nachos arrived, they looked like low-effort, homemade oven nachos with just melted cheddar on top. The whole thing was fused together into one giant sheet of chips; we had to break it apart and manually pile the toppings back onto the chips ourselves. It was really weird. The biggest letdown, though, was the wings. It used to be a solid order of six traditional flats and drums. Today, we paid $14 for just four pieces, and they weren't even wings--they were frenched chicken thighs. Subbing a completely different, lower-quality cut of meat without telling the customer is false advertising, and they turned out dry. Plus, the sauce has changed from a traditional Frank's-style buffalo to a harsh cayenne sauce. Between the wings and the nachos, today's total came out to $34--and $40 with a tip. Paying premium prices for dry thigh meat, overpriced add-ons, and a block of fused-together nachos makes it really hard to justify coming back. I'm not sure if North Fork got bought out or what, but I really don't see a point in returning.
