    Acai bowl was so delicious
    Christy C.

Very delicious acai bowl spot! Ordered Doordash and it arrived in ~30 min or so Got the "Custom Craft Bowl" - medium size (16 oz) for $15 and I had the option to choose up to 4 bases, granolas, and unlimited toppings! There were so many bases to choose from! For the bases, I got the Acai, Matcha Chia Pudding and Ube. The Acai was tarty and not too very sweet. The Matcha Chia pudding was delicious! The matcha tasted subtle but the chia pudding was very refreshing! I didn't really taste much of the Ube however. I got the Honey Oat Almond Granola and it tasted very fresh and crunchy! The banana, blueberry, and strawberry were all very fresh. The strawberry and blueberry were a little sore but it wasn't a big deal! The toasted coconut, cocoa nibs, matcha powder, and almond butter all tasted very yummy! Overall, I really enjoyed my acai bowl and would most likely return and recommend!

Upgrading to five stars as I see that they added nutrition info to their website! Thank you!

I haven't had Tru Bowl in the longest and saw that they opened one near me so I had to go and give it a try again. Workers were friendly when I stopped by and made sure I felt welcomed. I ordered the build-your-own acai bowl and they packed the bowl for sure. They had a diverse list of toppings from chia pudding to overnight oats to nuts/fruits. The almond butter was delicious but they kind of drowned my acai bowl with the agave syrup. Other than that, it was a tasty snack for a hot day.

I came in 2 weeks ago and ordered the bro Rogan and it was delicious!! Very well prepared! Prices are reasonable and the selection is great!! Many amazing bowls and shakes to choose from! The store is clean and the staff is always so nice and friendly! Parking is easy to find and it has become one of my favorite spots to go! Thank you TRU bowl!!

Ordered a large Seamoss Bowl to share ($16). There is ample parking and it's a small shop witha few tables for dining in. The bowl consisted of acai, seamoss, blue majik, coconut yogurt, hemp granola, blueberries, papaya, blackberries, mango, kiwi, coconut, hemp hearts, flax seeds, date honey, and blue spirulina. It was a tropical acai bowl which I really enjoyed and although you can't really taste the spirulina, I know it's good for you and it brings out a beautiful blue color. I usually don't get coconut yogurt when I make a custom bowl so I really enjoyed trying it in this signature bowl and would order again!

The bowl is good overall but they pack a lot of toppings! Me and my friend did a mobile order. I wish they put more of the Acai part instead of toppings because it felt a little dry, but I would come again to order in person and see if that changes anything.

Small bowl, so many mix-ins & toppings to choose from.

Fresh & delicious ingredients for the perfect bowls and smoothies. There are plenty of mix-ins and toppings to choose from. I also like that they're open before noon unlike some other açaí places in the area. Pricing is fair as well.

I didn't know of Tru Bowl til our recent visit in the Redlands and so glad that there's one closer to home in Monrovia. For the size we picked, we got to enjoy four layers of açaí along with a wide variety of fruits and toppings. The staff member helping us was friendly and helpful. We built a medium bowl with layers of açaí, chia pudding, ube, and mango, then topped it with fresh fruit, granola, superfood toppings, and almond butter. For an additional $2, we also added a layer of PB overnight oats. It was absolutely delicious and hit the spot. They are also more generous here in piling on the PB and almond butter on top which I love. I'm officially a Tru Bowls fan now.

Everyone who works here is super sweet! We love to stop by whenever we are finished with our workout class, which is right before they close, and they always welcome us in. For drinks we are obsessed with their Cucumber Cooler. It is so refreshing with just a hint of sweetness. I am not a fan of most green juices, but this is delicious because they add pineapples into it. Their acai bar is amazing as well. They have some signature items, but you can also create your own bowl. Lots of toppings and base items to choose from. For my base, I love to get their blue majik, acai, and overnight oats. Everything is so fresh and tastes great. Highly recommend if you are in the area and looking for something light and tasty.

Wow! As an acai bowl lover, I have to say this place hit the spot today after a long hike with the fam. Tru Bowl is a trendy smoothie bowl store located inside the same plaza as Trader Joe's in Monrovia, just a quick right past the Panera and Chipotle. They have some pretty cool branding with neon signage and interesting bowl names, but the thing that intrigued us was their variety of bases and toppings. Tru Bowl offers not just smoothie sorbets but also yogurts, overnight oats, chia puddings of multiple flavors and even scoops of nut butters as bases for your bowls! Something I've never seen before. They had all the best toppings and a few more unique offerings like blackberries, sea moss gel, and their almond butter is to die for! The team member who helped my family out today was super nice, she made my husband a custom bowl and offered helpful suggestions and told us her favorites too. I got the signature coconut bowl, and it was AMAZING! We both agreed this is definitely a new go to spot for us in the future, and we can't wait to come back and try out another bowl.

Came here looking for an afternoon snack and was very pleased! As a member of Monrovia Crunch, I saw ads for this in the gym as well as seeing it on Yelp near me, so I need I had to give it a try! As a Crunch member you get 10% which is a nice little discount for a very high quality bowl! (The deal is in the Crunch app) I like that this place has a lot of different options and choices but today I decided to go with the Ez Tru Bowl which seemed like a good middle ground for me. I'm definitely on the smaller side so I got pretty full after eating half but I saved the other half for later! Would definitely come back to try a different bowl and drinks :)

    Medium Island Bowl- decadent!

I am not usually one to get açaí-type bowls, but I took a walk from my hotel to find something light to eat and happened upon this spot. I chose the Island Bowl, which had sorbet-like layers of pitaya, "Blu Majik", and coconut. The toppings were all super fresh; granola, strawberries, pineapple, mango, dried coconut chips, goji berries, hemp hearts and honey. Everything was cut beautifully and the textures all complemented each other. For anyone who thinks this is healthy, it's really not. It's basically a sugar-bomb (though they do have some with added plant proteins). My bowl screamed "I'm glorified ice cream!". Service was friendly but slow; I didn't mind as the guy was artfully putting together my bowl. It's a group of younger men working here; expect a loud/fun/obnoxious vibe. Listening to them made me reminisce about my tow truck dispatching days. Aside from an Instagrammable fake plant wall with neon writings, the place was fairly sterile. Overall, I only plan in being in this area every couple years; I certainly hope they thrive and I'll return. There's a gym nearby that they hope to cater to (but I think they'd need to promote more protein options). Pros: - longer hours (they hope to stay open til 9pm to cater to gym folk) - presentation - lots of parking - fresh fruits - "açaí zero option" Cons: - a bit pricey - no real descriptions of what the bases are made of - lacks ambience - slower service (they're new though) -

I will however say that the Peppermint Sundae (only available during the holidays) may not be satisfying to most. It's super healthy, don't get me wrong, and it has all the accoutrements like sprinkles of candy cane and tiny marshmallows but the chocolate isn't as creamy as you would expect. Of course! It's made of healthy stuff. But just a gentle warning to those who expect it to taste like a sundae - it won't. It's still a treat though! I love Pressed's other products like their juices. Everything tastes so pure as if they were pulled straight from Mother Nature's teat. Love this company.
