When the food came out I was shocked - the sandwich is a hefty serving and cut in half, and I was only able to finish one half! The side salad... That thing was an ENTREE size! Portions here go crazy. The sandwich was delicious. Lightly toasted bread but not so much that it was cutting up my mouth. All ingredients tasted fresh. The side salad was also great! The bacon was a bit floppy which I think is a bit of a "your mileage may vary" sort of thing, but the one stand-out was the gravy on the biscuits. It was really unusually herby in a way I liked but my wife didn't; she wanted more sausage in the gravy. Still, on all points better than if you were to go to a Denny's or iHop or something. In the end it was fine, but nothing to recommend for or against on the food side. However, the atmosphere was eclectic and different, the tables and everything were comfortable, in good shape, and clean, and most of all, the server was good at her job.
