I came here because I needed a Bernzomatic Brazing torch and this was the closest place I could get one. When I arrived, the place was rather packed with people. There were about 4 people in line and I headed to the shelves where my item was. There was one kit on the shelf and I was happy about that, until I picked up the box and noticed it had been opened. The items in the box were not packed as they would have been had the package not been open. I suspect it was a return. There weren't any others that I could get instead. I went and stood in line and there were 6 people in front of me. It took about 15 minutes to get up to the cashier and I overhead the cashier trying to get a customer to sign up for a credit card. Later, to another customer, she said she had asked for backup but no one came to help. It was a long wait. When I got to the front of the line, another person finally opened another register and I was next. I asked him, "Can you give me a discount on this? It's been opened?" He looked at it and said, "Well, it looks like the box just popped open. Otherwise if it looked like it was used, I would." I said, "It does look like everything is there," and he rung me up and off I went. Well, as I started repairing my A/C line brazing a new A/C fitting on it, the oxygen ran out. I had only run the torch for a total of 15 minutes at the most and the oxygen cylinder was out. I can only suspect that someone bought it, used it, possibly with a different torch, and then returned the cylinders half or less full. It's a disappointment because I ran out of gas half way through my repair and now I've got to go back to the store and get a replacement cylinder. Overall, I've definitely experienced better. read more

We frequently stop at this Tractor Supply because it is convenient for picking up the chicken food and the dog food. Their prices on dog food are better than most other places and they carry a good variety of choices and sizes. Apparently many places don't carry large bags normally. It's a bonus that there is now an entrance to get onto 75 northbound...finally! Most of the time, the girls at the checkout are somewhat friendly...occasionally they are super nice, even smiling, but don't expect that every time. The men that work there are usually pretty helpful but if you need help, be prepared to ask for it. There's a fantastic selection of tools (farm tools included), seeds, animal food (horse, dog, cat, chicken, etc.), clothes, boots, jeans and many other things including home decorations. In the spring, they even have baby chicks and ducks for sale. You should stop by and visit...you'll be glad you did. read more

Used to be my go to store but not anymore! Store is super busy all the time and is completely at disarray. The isles in the store are extremely unorganized making it hard to find things easily. Where things are placed seem almost random at times and staff never knows where anything is. Have had to find everything myself. Unpleasant experience with Manager lady with blonde hair who I witnessed be very dismissive towards employees and customers. Every time I go there is only ever one cash register open despite the store clearly being very busy all the time. Employees are nice, when they do finally decide to talk to you. read more

Really like this place. Solid service, excellent prices and great environment. The store reminds me of similar stores I frequented in my formative living in a rural environment. I'd really suggest checking the store out. There online shopping can be a bit much - with shopping fees, but the overall in store experience is solid. read more

A family member told me that they do propane tank refills. So on a rainy Saturday I took the opportunity to give it a shot. What a delightful experience! I walked in and an associate met me at the door and radio'd to the outside corral. He told me where to take my tanks and the associate in the corral was actually waiting on me to arrive. He filled my tanks, told me to load up and that he would radio to the checkout where I would pay. They were attentive, quick, and everybody there was friendly. read more

Twice now I've ordered products for curbside pickup that I was charged for, but not in the bags (or on flatbed in the last instance). Each time, it took well over a week to get the charge refunded and was more of a hassle than any other store. This last time, I wrote a review (at TS's request), but they MODERATED (read: took down) the review! THAT is creepy. It means that reviews on Tractor Supply's website are worthless because you aren't getting any negative reviews. Shop at other farm / feed stores. A couple of the other TS stores are ok (e.g., Bonham, TX), but the McKinney store has a serious problem. And, by the way, TS has the WORST online shopping experience of any company out there. read more

Terrible customer service. Waited for 15 minutes to get some help in the fencing arae, but couldn't get any help. After purchasing some items, I was told to pull up to the rear fence and my items would be loaded. I backed up to the gate. However, it was was locked and no one was there. After waiting about 2 - 3 minutes an employee finally showed up and told me to move because he was helping someone else. This person had shown up after us and had checked out after us. On top of that, this persons items hadn't even been retrieved yet. The employee had to unload some other items, move a bunch of stuff around, and then get the other customers items. read more

I came in to purchase some items and Susan was the cashier who handled me and my wife's purchase and she was extremely unpleasant and rude. Then I went back in the same day to return an item and when I explained the situation to her she looked at me let out an exaggerated sigh and then went about doing it. Horrible customer service and she should be terminated or moved to the stock room where she won't have to deal with customers. Typically enjoy tractor supply but Susan has made me question whether or not I will go back and if I do it will be to a different location for sure. read more

Just wasted a lot of time with this location. They did not have an item in stock a few weeks ago. I asked customer service about price matching and they tell me no problem. I go in when the product arrives and they refuse to price Match saying it's over 30 miles away from this store. I go home look at the policy and it doesn't state that anywhere. I purchased a pole saw during a fall clearance sale years back. The first one time l took it out to use it, it simply froze up and wouldn't start. Since l hadn't kept the receipt. l was in a quandary and l felt l had simply wasted my money. Months later l was back in the store talked to a salesperson about the pole saw and they told me to bring it in and they would see if they could fix it. I returned with the pole saw and they saw it was brand new without any obvious defect. The sales team attempted to get it to start and were unable to. We discussed the warranty aspects of return, but without the receipt l couldn't take advantage of the manufacturers warranty. So they began to research their database for my receipt. They found my purchase of the item in late 2017 and they immediately exchanged the defected polesaw for one off their shelves. I took it home and it worked beautifully. I have NEVER experienced such AWESOME customer service before. I have been a patron of this store for more than 10years and l call them my favorite store because of all the nifty equipment, the warmth of the sales team and for their EXCELLENCE in customer service.
