They were even giving away free lemonade inside when we showed up, which was such a perfect touch. These guys understand cottonmouth and their audience Their selection was awesome, prices were actually affordable, and everything we grabbed was great quality. The setup has this homey, approachable feel instead of being overwhelming, antiseptic, or simply way too bougie (a far too common problem now with dispensaries IMO.) Y'ALL, though, the best part? We (me) were outside sweating and struggling trying to get a cute picture with the sign because obviously we (again me) had committed to the mission at that point. One of the guys working there noticed, came outside, and offered to take it for us Such a small thing, but that's exactly the kind of stuff that makes me want to actually hop on Yelp and write a review! Instead of finding the information or connecting me with a knowledgeable supervisor, I was repeatedly dismissed and transferred to call a completely different dispensary locations and call back the local dispensary later, as a licensed cannabis establishment in California, this business has a responsibility to maintain a safe, non-discriminatory environment and adhere to basic accessibility standards for consumers with disabilities. The treatment I received was hostile, unprofessional, and entirely unacceptable. PRODUCT SELECTION: Prices are better and affordable at other dispensaries, the prices here are definitely higher compared to other dispensaries. And just the customer service by all staff members are highly diminishing and assume issues, disabilities and questions and concerns are laughable and not taken serious. I couldn't use the inhaler because, for me, it caused a mild asthmatic reaction. I finally got some ointment that looked like Noxzema that reduces pain. Now, why would I recommend this dispensary for marijuana purchases? The staff is friendly and helpful in choosing the products. Many products are available so, more than likely, what you need can be found. As I had no medical card I couldn't buy it recreationally thanks to the wisdom of our fair city. So, this dispensary is in Empire which allows for recreational purchases of marijuana and I will be purchasing from them in the future. A side note: my wife and I spent a few weeks going to Spanish school in Costa Rica in the San Jose area a while back. One thing that stood out to me was that the banks had armed guards not carrying pistols bur rather carrying short barreled shotguns. When I went to the dispensary I noted there were one or two armed guards. Why? They have to do all transactions in cash and therefore can be held up (who wants to rob for some credit card receipts)? This needs to be corrected. California needs to establish a credit card so that not as much cash is laying around.

Imani and his team have built strong relationships with myself and several of my friends who were customers. As a leader myself, Imani has all the qualities of a great Manager. His Employees work hard and I would always notice how respectful they are towards him and I. There is a strong positive vibe at Medmen San Jose and it is reflective in the culture and high standards Imani and his team have created. It is a shame that Medmen closed down as I was noticing great improvements ever since Imani was hired. If Medmen reopens I strongly hope Imani becomes Manager once again.
