I do agree with the other reviewers who said Ed was kind of condescending (finanace guy) but he was able to make all my requests come through when we were doing the transaction so a-ok in my book. Have been going to the same dealership since I bought our latest (2013 Explorer Limited) including different service calls totaling over $7k. Had an issue with the catalytic converter needing replacement, was informed that it would take 2 to 3 days to get the part, with my truck out of commission the entire time. I requested that we order the parts first so I would only be one day without my primary vehicle. Was informed that I would have to "come down" to pay for the parts up front! Not sure how insolvent the dealership is, but needing payment for a $400 part up front is a first for me! Even with the small mom & pop shops, never saw this happen. Offered to give the CC information over the phone and was informed that this was not allowed! So in summary, will be getting the work done at another location (as well as all future work) and will be shopping other dealerships for the new truck I am buying. I also give her manage Wayne 5 stars for being kind and helping me when he didn't have to. But I give Tracy ford 4.5 out of 5 stars for something that is talked about later. I had an incident where my shift linkage cable had snapped. Not being from Tracy I had to figure out how to get home and then get back to my car once it was done. Darcie was quick with responses and any time I had a question she answered even if it was a question about something I could have figured out, she was quick to respond, and was always friendly! On my way to pick up my car the truck I was driving blew a tire on the freeway, and I was unable to get to Tracy ford to pay for my car. Darcie and Amanda took the time to calmly walk me through how to pay with my card, so that I could do a late pick up. Upon picking up my car, the guy who worked on my car needed to remove areas on the inside to fix what needed to be fixed. He removed my papers tucked between the seats and threw them in the back seat of my car. I know that the back seat of my car was not clean, but my paperwork should have been put back where it was found, or left in the folders that were in. I also noticed a scratch on the passenger door of my car. When I noticed Darcie she said to bring it into Wayne and he would go over my paperwork. Wayne told me that it was questionable, but would fix it because it was questionable. The scrape plate of my car had lost a screw on the way there, and Wayne asked one of his guys to put it in the air to see what had happened. Since buying the car, I have now had to return to Ford 5 times! The 1st time, because they took the old license plates out of the trunk upon purchase and didn't realize I would be expected to use them for this used vehicle. So I had to go back and pick them up. No big deal though. I wasn't angry about this one little bit. 2nd, the finance guy called me a few days after purchase and said there was some kind of mistake with my paperwork as it relates to the warranty. I needed to go back and re-sign new paperwork (sales contract #2). Wasn't happy about this, but mistakes happen, so I did it. 3rd, somehow we didn't realize for about a week that there were no floor mats in the vehicle (and there should've been). My wife had been using it with the plastic down like when we bought it. When she eventually realized there were no mats in the trunk, under the seats, or anywhere else, I went back again. Still I wasn't really angry because they did at least give me the mats without asking me to buy them or pay extra. 4th, got a call from finance again saying that there was a problem as it relates to my paperwork (contract #2) and GAP insurance. Basically, they had asked me if I wanted GAP insurance when I purchased the vehicle, and I had said, "yes". Then they called me weeks later to tell me I couldn't have GAP insurance, because I didn't need it. New paperwork (contract #3) had to be signed again. Admittedly, they weren't trying to swindle me -- my payments actually went down like $10/month without the GAP insurance. But I believe Ford had all the information needed to deduce that I did not need GAP insurance at the time of purchase. It was a little negligent of them to even offer to sell me an insurance which I could not use, even if they did undo it after the fact. Perhaps I speak only for myself here, but I don't completely understand everything that is said in those finance offices, in my opinion, it's their job to be diligent for us, and I expect them to be the experts at what they do. 5th. my wife went to Ford today to sign contract #3 which I signed yesterday, and they told her I actually signed somewhere I wasn't supposed to. So they had her sign a new contract (contract #4) and I now need to go back and sign that tomorrow. It's beginning to feel like they have never sold a car before. Obviously, when I was there yesterday, I just signed where the guy pointed. He pointed, I signed. This I did in his presence, while he was watching, and then I watched him proofread it, making sure all the right signatures were in all the right places. Guess not. My wife and I bought this car together, so she also had to return to sign every contract revision as well and we could not come together because of our work schedules. So she returned to Ford 2 times after the original purchase, and I returned to Ford 5 times after the original purchase. I still love the sales team; they offered my wife a tank of gas to compensate for these annoyances. It's just the finance department that needs to be more careful. It appears to me that that position is critically understaffed at Ford and perhaps that explains these mistakes; perhaps it's the training. Mistakes happen, I get it, but three times is enough. Writing and executing these contracts should be routine stuff for a business whose business is selling cars. read more

When we purchased our truck we had an amazing experience. How ever the first site of truck this place was not there to do anything!! We purchased a lifted truck. There was also some damage on the front bumper when we made the purchase they agreed to fix. It took us arguing and 2 months later to get them to actually follow thru. About that time our truck started squeaking. They "fixed" the problem by replacing parts on the truck. However it did not go away. I complained and complained about this and still they did nothing. I called the "manager" Joe and he cared for a little while. Then I went above him and none of my phone calls were never returned. I ended up taking my truck to a lift company who fixed the problem within two hour all because Tracy Ford installed the parts INCORRECTLY. Please save your time and money and do not spend it here! As you can see my origin review was nice and we were extremely happy. But after spending almost $40k on a truck having to spend money to fix it is completely not ok!!!! I am going to file a complaint with Ford to see what else I can do to recover the money I spent on the repair due to the incompetence of this dear ship! Let me start by saying the salesperson Will is a straight-forward, intelligent, efficient, and personable guy. Also, Mike Wallace, the Internet/Fleet salesperson, and the General Manager Steve Garrity went above and beyond to resolve an issue I had with a used Explorer. They gave me an an excellent deal on the Explorer Sport. They went to Antioch to retrieve it the very next day to ensure I was happy with my purchase. Their sales manager Jeff and general manager Steve worked swiftly to draft a deal. They communicated with my via text messaging throughout this process with me even on their day off. I would recommend Tracy Ford without hesitation. They bent over backward to make things right. I don't review places on Yelp very often, but I wanted to write a review for Tracy Ford today. Yesterday, I bought a Ford Explorer Sport in black that another couple was looking at. I had seen the Sport vehicle before, but it looked like this couple would likely close the deal. Their deal fell through, and my salesperson Will offered me this black Explorer. We didn't bother to look at it because we had already seen one in another color, and Will didn't take me out to see it because he was trying to quickly close the deal. He honestly didn't know it was used. I didn't do my due diligence, which in hindsight was my own fault. I trusted that we were dealing with a new vehicle and I had seen the inside before. I had also driven the vehicle and did plenty of homework about features; therefore I knew exactly what I wanted and I was told this vehicle met these criteria. As we completed the deal, Will and I found out from one of the sales negotiators that the vehicle was indeed a demo Explorer that had 4,000 miles on it. It had already been taken to the detail shop essentially. We got a very quick peak at it at the exterior but it had some dust on it and such. We really couldn't see inside it either because their technician was cleaning it. I didn't feel great at this point, and I should have demanded the vehicle I wanted. I felt like if we could get the vehicle at a low sticker it might be worth it. I didn't do my homework on a used car so my gut was telling me to wait. The sales negotiator had said it was in pristine condition because only the owner had driven it. We negotiated a price, which wasn't an excellent deal. The sales negotiator tried to sneak in some details that were not explicitly discussed like using the rebate to get the vehicle at 46,000, which he didn't not mention. He made it right and was willing to let it go at 46,000 with the $950 rebate. Unbeknownst to me the vehicle was without a moonroof, it had some minor scratches, which I was willing to overlook, and I discovered the dash had some defects as I drove it 5 miles down the highway. I should have inspected it up and down, but due to the circumstances of the previous couple working out a deal it just didn't work out that way. I called back about 10 minutes later and I was angry. I felt like I had been suckered into buying this car. I spoke to their sales manager Jeff and their general manager Steve. Both of them were very cool about voiding the deal and working out the right deal for the car I initially wanted. I worked with Michael and Steve; both of them were awesome. They worked fast and quickly to put this situation behind us. We quickly squashed the misunderstanding and found a solution. They were willing to drive to Antioch and bring another Sport back to the dealership. I loved working with Will. I want to make that clear, and I felt that he honestly did not know what we were dealing with. He was very professional and friendly. Tracy went above and beyond to make it right with me. I would highly recommend working with Will or Mike. The general manager Steve is awesome as well; he wanted to ensure I was happy with the deal, and he gave me his word that he would not stick me with a vehicle that I was unhappy with. I would recommend this dealership if you are looking for a new Ford in the Central Valley. They are willing to compete with Price Ford in Turlock and they go above and beyond for their customers. read more

I have been using Tracy Ford service for the last year or so after having one two many bad experiences with other ford service departments that are actually closer to me. Darcie, Robert, the younger girl (i don't recall her name) that works in the quick lane and the cashier are always extremely friendly, professional and helpful. They don't try to upsale you on services you don't need/want and they provide excellent communication throughout the whole service and repair process, I can't always answer my phone at work so they offer to communicate through text which is a huge plus for me. The quality of work by the techs is always excellent as well, between 6 trucks that get driven 1k+ miles a week we are in there quite regularly for service and I have had maybe one or two issues with a service or repair that was performed but both times the service team has gone above and beyond to correct the issue and make sure I'm happy. This has by far been one of the BEST customer service experiences I have ever had. I brought my car to get a few things fixed, and was sure I was going to be car-less for a few days. When I got to the service area I was greeted by a wonderful employee (wish I could remember his name!) who explained to me that the work my car needed would only take a few hours and I was welcome to the free coffee/tea as well as the WiFi if I wanted to wait. They have a TV in the waiting area so I got myself some tea and waited as my car was being serviced. I noticed they also had a children's area; I don't have kids myself, but I'm sure that would come in handy if you did. This dealer treated me the worst out of all of them. While I was trying to get them to negotiate to a reasonable price (They were asking several thousand over the sticker price even including a rebate) a new salesman stepped in and walked all over the one I had been working with, going so far as to call the other salesman a "****ing idiot" right in front of him, myself, and my girlfriend. When I told him I thought his offered price was too high he stood up and told me to leave. At that point I was happy to go! Don't put up with this type of treatment. I was even going to look for a Vehicle for my personal use. The minute we entered the lot...(Phil) walked up beside us and introduced himself and asked if there is anything he can do to help. I said "no, we got it from here. We'll ask for help if we need it, thank you". Then he graciously left. Things were great and we were making our way through the lot. Then this Tall, lanky, white-shirt-wearing guy asked if we needed help. My fiance said " nope, we're looking, thanks". Then the BOZZO walked along side of us and said: "Well, my Manager really doesn't like to allow people to walk through here by themselves.......blah blah blah". My fiance and I instantly turned around and left. F-you! We sat in our truck, and in disbelief said: "What the hell just happened here?" As we drove out, we saw the "Salesmen", including Lanky-boy just jabbering under a tree doing NOTHING! Phil had the nerve to wave "bye". Yeah...whatever! #1! Why didn't the guy just say "we don't want you here"! Is it because my fiance has tattoos (sleeves) on his arms and legs? He was dressed in a Polo shirt and jean shorts. Was it because my hair was a mess? Did I not wear the right shoes? What??!!! We're potential CUSTOMERS! We wanted to see what Tracy Ford has to offer. Then...we get INSULTED!!!! #2! He didn't even mention his name like the 1st guy did....and then proceeded to insult us by saying we can't walk the lot and look for ourselves???? This is the kind of "high pressure, clingy SalesWhores" that are Synonymous with Car Salesmen. This guy PROVED it all within 5 minutes! I will NEVER shop here ever! I'm a Ford person and my fiance wanted fords for our fleet....but the hell with these guys. We'll go somewhere else, even if it's another brand! Darrin went above and beyond for me! Go see him if you want a stress-free, honest, and easy car buying experience! Before I saw him, I called over 5 dealerships and explained my situation, and was given confusing and conflicting answers and felt like the reps did not even want to even try and see what they can do for me-because it would be too much work. Darrin was the only one that assured me that if I gave him a chance to sell me a vehicle, he would go all out to make sure everything was worked out the way I was proposing and I would leave satisfied. Never do buisness here. Sales and finance staff rob you blind. Get you thinking things are part of the deal olny to find out later , after 5 hours in the dealership you'll sign anything , once your home nothing was part of the deal. They wear you down and take you to the cleaners. Not sure how they sleep at night. Glad I have an honest job. read more
