Definitely a "below" zero-star experience at the Service department. I bought tires on my vehicle from Tracy Ford some months back. Within a month of tire purchase, suddenly I saw a bulge there. So, I took it back to Tracy Ford to assess if it was under warranty. Tracy Ford made a determination that the tire damage was actually under warranty. Then they said I should front the fees for a replacement tire and they will collect the warranty claim and refund it to me. I paid upfront as they requested and left expecting a refund check. After a long wait, I went back to Tracy Ford to find out what happened about my warranty claim. First, they said the employee who promised me the claim was no longer there. Then, a manager named Ryan came to me and started suggesting that I was lying about the warranty by asking strange questions such like "...did the previous employee tell you when the manufacturer was going to determine if the claim was valid?". He asked these kind of questions about three times, and I replied telling him that his office had already determined I had a claim and was just supposed to get me my check. He took information about the tires and told me he was going to call me back that day (just to get me to go). But it's been almost 2 weeks and I haven't heard back. Surely, this kind of deceptive and dishonest practice has to stop. Thank you Tracy Ford, this "tire" experience has shown your true character. No wonder other users give similar rating and you can be rest assured I won't be coming back. You can keep the warranty money to yourselves as it's apparently worth your integrity. read more

James, Leonard, and Eric made this a smooth transaction, without any pressure. Was looking for a truck that had a slightly unusual configuration and James was able to locate one from another dealership within a few days. They sent a driver on a 4hr roundtrip to bring the vehicle down on the day he found it so that I could take a look at it and buy it if it met my requirements. The truck arrived to the lot around 8PM, and I was out and on the road by 9PM. Tracy Ford's customer service made a die-hard GM fan buy a Ford. I just bought this car from Infiniti of Elk Grove 3 mos ago. It broke down and Geico (I LOVE THEM) towed me there. Jonathan in the service department was amazing. He was empathetic to my plight, helped me about warranty. Spoke to Infiniti and if it wasn't for him being so honest and straight forward, I would have never got the deal I did with my dealership. Terrible customer service at the service dept. If you are from out of the area and have a check engine light on your vehicle on a Friday. They will not see you because it might make them have to work. We were traveling in the area with a over cab camper pulling a boat when our check engine light came on we called the service dept told them the situation, they informed us they could not check our truck because they will be closing in 4.5 hours (we were 10 minutes away). Service tech we talked to very rude, didn't offer a solution. Just said we aren't taking any vehicles this late in the day and hung up!! Don't go there find a alternative. read more

My husband and I just bought our third vehicle from here. I knew what I wanted but my husband had a different idea. We were approached by Joel to see if we needed help. I gave him a list of what I wanted and didn't want. He took me right to "my truck." The buying experience with Joel felt easy and fun. At first I would definitely rate this one star due to the very and I mean very rude salesman/manager. He was very aggressive, demanded I pay what I couldn't afford and downright disrespectful. He literally told me he would shove a burger down my throat. He also tried selling me a car for more than $3000 than the sticker price and tried taking advantage of me every chance possible. ED WAS HORRIBLE. Few days later I finally strike a better deal with Mike Wallace, Chris and Jack, who worked with my budget, didn't waste my time and was very much changed my mind of buying the car. I was actually at the Volkwagen dealership across the street looking at their used Mustangs when a young man asked us from the Ford car lot, "If you're looking for a Mustang, I can help you." So me and my wife walked across the street (not expecting to buy a car, just looking) and exchanged names and pleasantries with the young car salesman. I had an idea of what kind of car I wanted (V6 hardtop automatic) and we walked around a bit and showed me some different cars. Nothing was really catching my eye until we found the "ad" car (basically the car in the advertisement to bring people to the dealership). Obviously they weren't going to show us the ad car right away, but when they realized I wasn't interested in anything they were currently showing me, they brought out the big guns. Buying a car is a HUGE decision, and not to be taken lightly. Of course the salespeople are going to be pushy and overbearing, this is how they make a living, on the decisions of their customers. You must stand your ground on certain things, such as payments, APR rates, and trade-in amount. If you're willing to stand your ground, and are serious about buying a car, the dealership (ANY dealership) will work with you to get you what you want. That being said, I took the ad car for a test drive and fell in love with it. After some negotiating about the payment amount and how much they were going to give me fort trade-in, we shook hands and got the deal done. Everything was straight up and honest, nothing was hidden. As far as the service department goes, I've never had an issue with anything. An oil change, tire rotation and air filter swap takes about 45 minutes, which is normal time. read more

We went there from the Tracy Chevy dealership next to the Ford dealership due to customer service problems. Ralph Martinez (sales) and Chris Brown (Finance) were/are top notch. Ralph was the reason we bought our vehicle from Tracy Ford. He was personable, easy to talk to and even guided us along the entire process, even though we were past 'his' stage. Three stars for the excellent price I got through my credit union (Tracy Ford supplied the vehicle but had nothing to do with the sale), and ONE STAR for the regular bombardment of promotional emails I get from them, EVEN THOUGH I HAVE: properly "unsubscribed" at least 4 times; live 92 miles away (does their PR firm look at the map?); and actually talked to their marketing manager and asked him if he really wanted to alienate customers who've opted out of mailings ("oh no" he said -- that was months ago.) Based on the negative yelp reviews, they don't look here on Yelp either. Good thing I can block the econsumerconnectiondotcom domain from ever showing up in my "in" box. I recently moved back to California after a 5 year leave and was in need of a new car, I was not sure what I was looking for or where to start, so I stopped at this dealership as it is closest to my new home. The salesman (Cameron, I think his name was) was extremely helpful not only educating me on all my options, but also with helping me around town and what was near me. I usually never step foot onto an auto dealership and I have met some real creeps, but this time I felt like I was being taken care of and not being pressured into anything I was not comfortable with! WORSE PLACE TO BUY A CAR PERIOD!!!! In less than 2 months of purchasing a used car from Tracy Ford, the car comes with major issues. several weeks after driving the car, I begin to suspect there are issues with the car. The steering wheel locks up when driving or trying to make turns. Took the car in, 2 weeks later, they mention there are other major issues (costing me over 2k) They wouldn't fix the car unless I get warranty...like really? Warranty is an extra 4k on top of the car price and last I check this is OPTIONAL! In all my previous car buying experience, I never buy into their warranty simply because I don't expect the car to break down in LESS THAN 2 MONTHS! I have pretty much talk with all the managers and service there and NO ONE wants to the DO THE RIGHT THING, b/c everyone there is about MONEY! Like who isn't right? but seriously, this is the WORSE place and I REGRET buying a car from them. The sales person there Julio is great, but the rest of the folks especially managers. THEY HAVE NO BALLS! I pray this place lose money and go out of business. Brought my truck in for transmission problems multiple times, under warrantee. They could never figure it out. Brought it to a transmission shop, under warrantee, they did not figure it out either. 2,000 after warrantee expired transmission burned up. Brought it back to Ford, thinking since the problem pre-dated the expiration of the warrantee and Ford couldn't or didn't bother to figure it out, It'd still be covered. WRONG! STUPID, STUPID STUPID! DO NOT TRY TO APPLY LOGIC TO THIS! I am so naive, what kind of a Pollyanne-ish nincompoop am I? Of course there is no responsibility on Ford's part. Just ask them. When I brought the truck in, it took me 3 weeks to have them tell me that the tranni fluid was burnt. This is after many, many phone calls that went unanswered and unreturned and after many visits in person. 3 weeks to look at the tranni fluid? And their brilliant diagnosis is that the tranni fluid is burnt? I could have told them that! I would have been shocked if it hadn't of been burnt. It took another 3 weeks of discussion with the service department talking to the factory to try to get them to help out somehow for the service department to tell me that Ford was not going to do a damn thing. The service department said they would give me a special deal on a tranni replacement and quoted me over $5,000 to replace it with a reman. I asked a transmission shop for a reman quote and they quoted $2,000 less. Some "deal" huh? I'm a contractor. Without a truck...It took them 6 weeks to tell me to go to hell. Hey Ford dealership: If your shop is backed up weeks and weeks and weeks, please tell your unsuspecting customers that you're going to blow them off and is that all right? And if you're not going to return phone calls, why have a voice mail system, just have a recording that says: "Ha, ha, ha! We're not going to bother to have the courtesy to call you back!" I would prefer the honesty over what I received, which was NOTHING! The sales department is not much better. I boug"ht this truck from this same dealership. They promised free tire rotation. I brought it in for the free rotation and guess what? No, you'll never guess! IT'S NOT FREE! This is my first negative review. If I could rate them with negative stars I would. DON'T GO THERE! Not an honorable company. After we made a deal about buying a new car, the sales manager backed out stating that his boss would not honor the deal he made with me. Basically, the sales manager agreed to let me have the leather seats for free because they did not have the car I wanted without leather seats. However, after I accepted and finalized the deal with the sales manager, I was shocked that he reneged on the deal and told me that his boss insists on an extra $750 for the leather seats! read more

I brought my 86 F250 in the beginning of May for several things that needed to be worked on in order for my truck to pass smog which in the end cost me just over $2,000.00. I had no problem with that at all. my issue, is that, if I'm going to pay that much money, I better expect everything to work that was replaced. I brought up the issue of my real fuel tank not working at all and for that to be added to my tab. when I got my truck back, I took it to smog, and it passed. Awesome! then I went to gas up the truck and I filled both tanks up. I turned the truck on and switched the fuel to the rear tank, and guess what....it didn't work and the truck died. so again, only the front tank works and the rear still doesn't work. most of the expense came from having the rear tank worked on. I don't even want to bring my truck back to Ford. I am still looking for a shop to fix this issue. Thanks Tracy Ford!!!! read more

I'm surprised I've had such a different experience than others here. Perhaps I'm just lucky, or perhaps they have tried to address flaws brought up by their critics. I had no idea what kind of car I wanted this time around to replace my aging XTerra, so (along with dozens of other dealerships) I visited Tracy Ford to do some initial test driving. Pete enthusiastically showed me a new 2014 GT 5.0 (while performing acrobatic feats to get into the back seat no less). He seemed very friendly and knowledgable, and since I told him up front about where I was in in my purchasing timeline, he gracefully accepted my departure without undue pressure to buy now, now, now. Fast forward a week, and I've decided on a different style of mustang, and done my homework on how much I can afford and what the invoice costs are, etc. Since I wanted to get the USAA discounted prices, I was referred to Greg in Internet Sales. Greg was eager to please in every phase of purchase, including locating a car with the specs I wanted, negotiating a reasonable price, and executing a dealer trade to make it happen. He treated me professionally and with the utmost respect throughout the entire purchase process, even a few days afterwards when I needed some additional paperwork done - so I can highly recommend doing business with him. Speaking of paperwork, Bobby the finance guy did come off as a bit brusque, but not so far as to be rude. He was able to do the paperwork to get the ball rolling for the dealer trade, and when I returned later with a cashier's check, he was able to fix the paperwork to my satisfaction (I'm picky when it comes to paperwork). So at the end of the day, that was the only part of the purchasing experience where I could see a minor imperfection. In addition, big props to Greg who stood by the car when I picked it up and noticed a small scratch in the passenger side - doubtless from the trading dealership. He saw to it that the service department fix it, and because I could still see and feel it after they touched it up, he sent it out to be professionally detailed by another shop - all at no charge to me. I do not really have enough knowledge of the service department to give a thorough review since I've only been in there twice. I will attest that every time I've been there, Wayne (the Service Dept Manager) has been there and taken great care of me and my new vehicle. read more

What an amazing experience. Without to many details, my wife had a serious car accident/coma/6 month stay in a hospital. 3 years later, after physical recovery, it was time for her emotional one. I had been gently talking her into getting a car. I found a car online at Tracy Ford, so we went to check it out. That is where we met Henry Pollack. Kind, genuine and helpful. He did not overwhelm us, he listened to what we were looking for and showed us a few options that matched our (my wife's) needs. We drove off the lot with a brand new Ford Fiesta that runs great, comfortable and fills the needs! Not to mention, my wife drove off the lot with confidence, excitement and happiness. This is a continuous complaint they ripped off my 16 year old daughter money that she saved sold a car that shouldn't have never passed smog I was asked to contact the Customer Services Manager Brandie Krey and of course it was BS she asked me to send her receipts for parts and what the mechanic charged us which was another $2100 on top of the $5400 for the car I have called emailed and she refuses to respond. Was looking to buy / lease a 2016 Ford Edge Sport, fully loaded. Darrin DeSilva was helping me out and was one of the most courteous, professional sales guys I have worked with. Darrin and his team scoured surrounding dealers to find the exact car I wanted, it took some weeks and unfortunately when it came in was missing one item I wanted. However on a retest the drivers seat was a tad uncomfortable (I'm really picky with my vehicles seat comfort) and as I commute every day from Tracy to San Jose, its important, so I decided to look at another brand.
