Dissappointed. Expected more from a corporate dealership. Went here yesterday to buy a vehicle after already done a lot of research about that specific vehicle including Kelly Blue Book with exact parameters. That value matched what not only their website said but also 2 other websites where the vehicle was listed. The vehicle has missing interior parts, many scratches inside and also engine had a bunch of tape around some of the hoses. None of this was listed or mentioned in any listing online. The sales guy knew nothing about the video and all of the sudden started cussing in every sentence. He then brings us a supposed job report trying to say the vehicle is worth literally 2k more than the actual kbb. Then says he spoke to the "manager" and they will not budge on their already inflated price. Smh. Nice try asshole. Although this could happen at any other dealership, we now aren't comfortable going to any Ford dealership. If you are shopping for a vehicle, know the facts so you yourself don't get ripped off by these or any other bums. read more

Also, there was nothing checked off on the sheet by the technician, so to be honest, I really don't know if they did anything. I did like the quiet lounge though. Here's an update, 3yrs after we bought our truck: My wife and I bought a 2016 F150 from Tracy Ford brand new, and I've been a loyal customer since. I had all my services performed there. Excellent service department. Then, recently I found out the expensive extended service plan we bought does not cover nearly as many services as they at Tracy Ford told us it would when we bought the truck. Turns out they said whatever they thought they needed to in order to get us to sign on the dotted line. What they did was lie to us to get us to sign a contract. You don't get what you pay for. If you purchase a service plan, ask that they itemize, in writing, what specific services are included in your service agreement and how much each service would cost you if you did not purchase the service agreement. Have them show you, in writing, both totals (agreement vs walk-in services). I regret not doing this. By paying in advance for a high mileage maintenance service agreement, the routine maintenance services performed actually cost me much more than paying for them as needed, because the higher cost services were in fact beyond the mileage limit in my agreement; services they told me were included when I signed the agreement. Don't let their lack of ethics turn you into a victim. I tried to work with the General Manager about my concern, and got a lot of run-a-round. For over a month. Very unprofessional. I have no regrets buying my Ford truck, but I do regret buying it from Tracy Ford. I will not do business with Tracy Ford again and I regret recommending them to my friends and family. I ordered a Ford Bronco First Edition and was told that I would get it at MSRP in 2020. I woke up early and ordered my dream car on the first day the car started taking reservations. Ford stopped making the First Edition shortly after the release and so my car was converted to a Bronco Raptor. The sales team then demanded an extra 25k over MSRP because it was a "limited car" and when I said that wasn't the original agreement they went and sold the car to another person for 30k over MSRP using MY order. I still haven't gotten my refund back. Since they are likely a lower volume dealership they will use these corrupt practices to try and milk the customers money. Ford has already came out and said that dealers should not be charging absorbent markups, especially on a customer ordered online vehicle. The fact that my order gave them an allocation they wouldn't have gotten otherwise and then sold it to someone else for a large markup tells you everything you need to know. I waited nearly 2 years and would have just bought a different car in 2020 if I know the outcome. Would not recommend ordering online from them. I am currently at this place to return a leased Ford Edge and no one will take the vehicle. I spoke with the sales department and the finance department yet no one, not even the on duty manager will take it back. I then called Ford Finance and after waiting for her to make some calls, I was told I could leave the vehicle there and Ford Finance would send me the documents that I needed to sign. Still nothing, they wouldn't take it. I know (and even asked to confirm) that if I wanted to lease a vehicle today there would be no problem. But to return one, only during the week. Two other dealerships said they would take the return but the manager wouldn't be there by the time I could drive to their location. I would give Tracy Ford 10 stars if I could. I grew up in a Ford family (my dad works for Ford in another state). Recently I moved to a new town for work and I don't have many friends here. Before I was about to head to the airport to fly out of state for a friends wedding, my car broke down in Tracy. I didn't know who to call for help and when I called the dealership the receptionist Brittany was incredibly helpful. I was in tears over missing my flight. She was so kind, calm and patient. My mind went to worst case scenario that something was seriously wrong with my car, but she assured me that she had been in a similar situation once and that it was probably just the battery. She encouraged me to find someone who could jumpstart my car and bring it to the dealership. Once I got to the dealership the service department was nothing but amazing. They knew who I was and they were expecting me, I was not sure if they would be able to work on my car since it was a Saturday but they got me back right away, and diagnosed the problem... she was right it was my battery. They made the repairs same day. I wish I had gotten the name of the technician and the gentleman in the service department who helped me. They were both so nice and professional. Sure enough, 6 years after taking my truck here for warranty service, my wife and I were ready to purchase a new Explorer for the family, and based on my past experience here, we knew our first stop would be Tracy Ford. Julio was quick to greet us in the lot and provided great customer service. He let us test drive an Explorer they had on the lot, and was able to find us exactly the Explorer we wanted within our price range at a nearby dealership. Although it was late in the afternoon, he tried to get it delivered that evening. We were happy either way to get it delivered to us the next day and he quickly had it perfectly detailed and filled with gas for us. I found Tracy Ford to be nothing but unethical, dishonest, high-pressure salesmen. They seem to want to tell you whatever it takes to have you sign and out the door ASAP, even if it is completely fabricated. I worked with Baker, James, Evan, Fabio, and Chris, who sold me a CPO Ford Fiesta with all sorts of problems. They promised to high heaven that, if anything were to go wrong with the car, they would "make it right". But in fact, once I stepped foot off the dealership, those promises were null and void -- they literally wouldn't even return my calls. The best part was when the battery died during my test drive. James promised this is a thing that happens "all the time" and that if the battery was actually bad, they would be happy to test it and fix it. But after all the papers were signed, their battery shop was "closed on Sundays" -- never mentioned before. Fine, we'll bring it back -- but they wouldn't even return our phonecalls. I ended up stranded on the side of the road and had to take it into a different dealership to get it fixed. Went to Tracy Ford to buy my daughter a Mustang that Tracy Ford had advertised for $34069. Agreed to buy it for that price, minus an additional $500 rebate I qualified for directly thru Ford. Started the buying process, and of course I'm asked what I'd like my monthly payments to be. I told them I wanted to finance for 60 months as I already did my homework and knew approximately what my payment would be given my down payment. They came back with approximately $3500 added into the price. $1500 of that was for a security system that they installed on the vehicle but claim that wasn't added into their advertised price, and couldn't be deducted. The other approximately $2000 was never revealed as I walked out after explaining to them that we already agreed to their advertised price, minus the additional $500. You go in just for a regular oil change and all of a sudden my car has been having a MAJOR OIL LEAK when my car was perfectly fine nothing on drive way or no check engine nor other warning on car. They took 2 hours for the oil change to be done when there was just 1 car in front of mine, when they come to me they show me a picture of a leakage and acting all nervous! And they wanna act like it was already there!!! And they don't even wanna hold accountable for anything!! Never going back!!! I purchased a lightning almost a month ago and I have a feeling Joel just plain lied to me. I was only interested in this particular vehicle because I thought I could get the rebates/tax credits. It starts out with me asking him if it was new and he starts with "yes, well its a demo." I am fine with it being a demo I have purchased demo vehicles before and they were sold as new. I know the tax credits changed this year and he tells me the MSRP is 77k which is great because I know the cut off is 80k and he tells me that there is a 10k markup which I wasn't happy about but with the tax credit and rebates from state and other places it would basically cancel the markup out. So then he tells me it cant be sold until Saturday and the ones in the past sell instantly. So I setup looking at it Friday because I haven't even seen this yet and Friday comes and he calls me and says there was a mistake and I can buy it right now and I better because otherwise someone else will as if it were a good deal and if it was new it would have been. I was at work in San Francisco so I couldn't go right away he says no problem we will take it to your house. Great I start talking to a finance guy and he mentioned something about used vehicles, which I was confused about, and it starts unfolding that this is used. Joel promised not to worry that all these in the past qualify for rebates because no one has applied for them and they have done "extensive research" it making sure that customers can get the tax credits. I know the rules changed this year, I wasn't too familiar with all the changes, but it makes since he is because he is in the business. The delivery guys drop off the vehicle and leave after signing a couple papers one of which is the page allowing me to return it in 5 days for my money back which I was interested in because of this issue that seemed unclear. The finance guy guilts me into signing it as if I was trying to take advantage of something and tells me there is an email that I need to sign also. The delivery guys leave the truck is at my house and I end up looking at this email. It clearly says used vehicle as well as $1500 tracking system, which doesn't make since because you can track the truck from the app without this addon, and now everyone went home for the day. In good faith and the next day I see the tax credits only applies to new vehicles so again I call Joel. He tells me more bs about how it turns out the other vehicles like the MachE demo always had the rebate but instead it was from ford and for some odd reason it wasn't in my paperwork. He said he would reach out to his contact and ask where it is. A couple weeks go by so I follow up with Joel and he tells me "no response, maybe the guy is on vacation." I call Ford out of frustration and was passed around the phone system all day long and I finally get a response that there has never been any rebate from Ford that takes place of the tax credit. So I send this information to Joel so I can Find out what specific rebate he thinks I was supposed to get and I don't have any response. This has been a terrible experience and he basically ripped me off for 10k. I showed him a used platinum for another 6k with 4k miles which is what I would have purchased knowing what I know now about this liar. Is this how Tracy Ford does business? I tried financing through golden 1 because it is 3% cheaper and the finance guy also said "something happened so they cant ever use that bank" Maybe Tracy Ford gets sued a lot. Ford does not have good management of their scheduling of service appointments. I scheduled my appointment for 7:30am to check and see if my car was eligible for a recall. When I made the appointment, I did tell him I was going to wait for my vehicle. When I dropped off the vehicle, they said it may take up to three hours and this is just to inspect it not to fix the problem, if it could be fixed. so I decided to go to work instead of waiting for my vehicle. I called five hours later because I did not hear from them. They said my service advisor was out to lunch and I told them I was coming to pick up my vehicle. They said my vehicle has not even been inspected yet needless to say I had to pick up my vehicle without it being inspected I wasted an entire day without having my car and I wasted my morning dropping off the vehicle. Why would they schedule so many appointments in one day if they know they can't get to them. Poor management!! When I went into pick up the vehicle no one attempted to speak to me about the vehicle and no follow up call. read more

I will never do business with Tracy Ford again. They tried to take advantage of me at every opportunity they could when purchasing a new car. Among many other things, they tried to add $5,000 to a car I had ordered directly on-line from Ford and put a deposit down to lock in the price. If you do buy a car there, I would be especially cautious of the Financing Department. I went in with pre approval for my financing. They still made me fill out a financing application and assured me they were using the company for which I was pre approved. When I received my first statement, it was financed through a totally different company. Not to mention, there was some pretty high pressure sales being used to get me to buy an extended service contract. I was told my only chance to purchase an extended service contract was at signing. If I walk out the door without purchasing it, I will not be able to purchase one. That was an outright lie. We ended up buying an extended service agreement from another Ford dealership for much less than half the price the service manager told me was the "lowest we can sell it for". This is just a small list of ways they tried to take advantage of me when purchasing my new car. I recommend using a different Ford dealership. Although I love my new car, the tactics used at Tracy Ford have left a bitter feeling with me about Ford in general. read more

Do not go to this dealership. The service department is terrible. I had a parking brake cable break on a 2002 F350 purchased from this dealership. I needed this simple repair. Navigating the phone system is a matter of luck. I had to call from a remote location with bad cell coverage. Calls that could and did drop, so accurate and conscise communication was required, but not provided. Sometimes a live person answered and sometimes the automatic directory. When referred to the sevice department I was on hold 45 minutes to an hour at times. When arriving I had the broken parking brake cable and indicated this needed to be repaired. Apparently unless you request diagnostics and pay additional fees, this means that they do not repair the parking brake to proper operating condition, but only replaced the broken cable. When I went to pick up the truck they said was repaired, they sent an employee out to find the truck and bring it around, but he could not find it. After more than 5 minutes, I just took the keys and we drove around the dealersihp to find my truck. They have no method of tracking specific vehicles. When got in the truck, represented as repaired, the parking brake light and auditory warning signal would not shut off. I told them was NOT repaired. They brought out the mechanic. He was surprised the representatives had not told me that the constant auditory warning and light were not repaired and could not be. Two representatives came out and indicated they could not repair a 2002 Ford Parking brake because that part was no longer made. They simply said there was nothing Ford could do to repair a 2002 Ford F350 purchased from their dealership. They suggested I go to a "junk yard", get a part and install it. I told them I would not do that. I asked if the warning alarm and light could be disconnected, just so I did not have to listen to a constant alarm. They said they could not do that as it was a "safety issue". Apparently leaving an auditory alarm and light falsely on is not a safety issue. I left in disgust. Later after responding negatively to a survey, a customer representative called me and I said Ford being unable to repair a 2002 F350 was unacceptable. Apparently they decided they might be able to repair it, and asked that I come in. You would think I would be at the front of the scheduling line, but no. I was bounced back into the regular schedule to wait over a week while living with a constant alarm in the truck. When I arrived, I again left the truck for repair after paying an additional deposit for the new part needed. They do not call you to update. At the end of the day I called and they indicated they had the wrong part. I picked up the truck again. Again I was bounced to the end of the repair line after the correct part arrived. An appointment was set at a speciifc time and date, again with no priority. On that day, I called just before the scheduled appointment time to to ask if I could bring it in a hour later. The person answering did not understand the need to communciate information quickly and accurately, and when I indicated I needed information in this way, deemed it "disrespectful". Apparently I did not provide the necessary emotional support, but explained to her that I did not have time to provide her "emotional" support or discuss our "interpersonal relationship". Eventually she indicated that if I was late, I would lose my place and I would bounce to the end of the line for the day and maybe not get the vehcile to the end of the day. I therefore cancelled jobs and rushed to get there by the scheduled 10:00 am appointment. When arriving at 10:15 am, there was on service person on duty and a line of 3 people. I waited. Eventually about 10:30 a.m, 5 people or more people exited the managers office and started to deal with customers. I again dropped off the truck and asked for their shuttle service. This requires the customer go to the "cashier" and wait in line behind people paying to schedule a shuttle. I waited for two people to finish their transactions and then the Shuttle was called. When I went to pick up the vehicle, I indicated I wanted a courtesy adjustment for the multiple trips to get a simple brake cable repair. The manager (1) tried to indicate because some of the repairs were done on Saturday this some how made a difference. I pointed out that was there scheduling. (2) Since I did not pay extra up front fee for the diagnosic, they did nothing other than replace the cable and had no other obligation to deal with any other problems with the parking brake, (3) and I was too terse with their phone person and had not provided her with the interpersonal emotional support she requires. He did not deal with the issue of the wrong park being ordered requiring one of the extra days. He refused any adjustment and would not release the truck unless I paid the full amount. I took my explorer in about 3 months ago for problems and it ended up needing a new engine, also fixed my rear heater seats. had to go back a week later as the spark plugs were bad and the car was having issues moving along. Had to go back a few times for the heater seats, but a couple weeks later Service Advisor Robert Cleghorn was the only thing that was positive with my experience. He was very attentive and kept me in the loop the entire time. Was explaining the issues the entire time. Move forward to this past week, my explorer was driving horrible, making loud clanking noises and the front end was feeling loose and unstable. I had to park it and get a rental car until I was able to bring it into the dealership in the area. The issue with the car was steering gear was loose and not secure and the bolts were not secure on the subframe (when the engine was put in). That could have been very bad and dangerous. I was told it was a good thing I parked the car and didn't continue to drive. I now need to get reimbursed with my rental car costs and Tracy Ford did pay the cost of fixing what they did not fix when they did the engine, but with the safety inspection this should have never been the case. The current inspection noted that the sway bar end links and front struts were worn and bottoming out. That should have been picked up in the safety inspection just 3 months ago. The oil in the car was dirty and low, when I just got a new engine and requested an oil change. This should not be the case, I have not driven much more than approximately 1000 miles since then. I expect better mechanical work to be done going to a Ford Dealership. I drove over from San Jose as I bought the car from Tracy Ford, this was not a quick and convenient drive. Once again the only good part of going to Tracy Ford was the fact that Robert explained and kept me in the loop and answered questions . Always very professional. read more

I thought I was getting a good deal but then went into finance and the sales manager changed the rate from 0% for 72 to 4% for 84 months! I said hell no! My credit rating is 840. I was clear about what I was there for and thank god I read through the paperwork. Even the Jr salesman said I was clear about what I was looking for! He said he had no idea that it was changed and apologized. What a waste of time and a horrible business! His only excuse was that what I wanted was unreasonable. I told him that he should of been up front about it instead of being sneaky and spreading out the loan for 84 months! Screw Tracy Ford!! Update..... the next day I went to Bill Brandt Ford in Brentwood and got the exact deal I was looking for! I guess my expectations weren't so unreasonable after all!! Don't waste your time in Tracy! I notice the Check Engine Light came on my Mustang GT that I purchased a year and a half ago from Tracy Ford. I live in the Bay Area and none of my local dealers would accommodate checking the code and each said I needed to get an appointment 2 weeks out. This was not ideal for me since I drive the car regularly. I had an oil change scheduled at Tracy Ford and asked them to look into the check engine light when I brought the car in. Darcy was super helpful and accommodating in getting the car looked at even though they had a very busy schedule there too. The car was fixed under warranty. They went above and beyond to help me with my car and I plan on being a repeat customer because of the continued excellent service. read more

Most recently, I was contacted by James and he assured me he could get $500 off a competitors price. I clearly stated what their out the door price was and James remarked how low it was but he would be able to beat it by $500 for me to switch my business to Tracy Ford instead. Sounded good to me, he said he could meet me the next day. So I went in next day at store opening and it turns out James isn't even there even though he is supposed to be. It is the day after St Patrick's Day so I don't know if he was having issues waking up or what. The person that attempted to help us anyways was actually very helpful and remorseful that we're put in this situation as he called James on the phone and James is now telling his coworker that he never agreed to that price, which is a total lie. This coworker encouraged us to go purchase the truck at the competing dealer because the price was too low to beat, so I appreciated his honesty. About a month(!!!) later James calls me to see if I bought a truck yet. I had to re explain on who I was and he finally remembers and just needed to know if I was still looking or if I already bought. When I told him I already bought, he just says okay thanks bye. Did not even receive an apology for the debacle in our previous communication, because he doesn't care. Tracy Ford, you're doing yourself a disservice by keeping him employed, I will never let friends or family buy from him and even weary of the whole dealership at this point. Now our service nightmare...we have a mustang we bought from here in 2016. That was a joke too, but we're gonna talk about the service here. We had an extended warranty and wanted to pay the deductible to do the job. I could have done it for a 35$ part but figured might as well let them do it the deductible wasn't that high. I tell them I know the issue, will it be covered? They say we can't tell you but if you bring it in we will diagnose and if it is covered then you won't have to pay the diagnostic fee. So I drop it off. First, they tell us it's not covered under our warranty so we're on the hook for the $150 diagnostic fee and the repair is some insanely high price. I have to call our warranty company myself and make sure this is all correct. The company says yes it is covered. So I call Ford back and they seem to be mixed up and all over the place. Long story short they can't keep their information straight, but it turned out they figured they were able to fix it under the warranty. If I had not been proactive I could have been $800 in the hole and that scares me. You expect to be able to drop it off and be handled with no hiccups or oversights that bad. This is also where they told me my battery was bad when it was declared a good battery on their service report when I had it in their very shortly prior for an oil change. They also said both of my axle's brakes were in the yellow range meaning they would need to be replaced soon. Which is funny because not long before that I had replaced the brakes for one axle at another shop, so how could both axles be at the same wear especially when the axle I didn't service should be very low at this point. They never gave us an answer on the battery, they basically just stuttered and pushed us off until we stopped asking. From a service perspective Travy Ford has been the best experience I've had so far at any dealership of any car I've ever owned. Ashley in the service dept is on point when when it comes to communication and getting the job done on time and in a professional manner. They have free starbucks coffee and a quiet room with WiFi so you can conduct business while my car is getting worked on. I highly reccomend this place for service of your vehicle. read more

What a bunch of low class human beings. They are the 90's car sales people that has given sales people a bad name. Jim or James from their internet sales a pathetic lier. What a waste of time. Do not go to this business nor waste your time in ordering any cars online through this dealership. They held on to my Mach E order for weeks and then they were glad to cancel it knowing that they can sale my car at a higher markup once it arrives. They will make you order the Mach E then let you know that they have a markup after the order has been placed. Their management team doesn't answer your call by claiming they are too busy. read more

I bought a car and not even a month it broke down. Took it in their shop for service, they expected me to pay for diagnostic...I DECLINED... then come to find out, there is a leak and other issues with the car! They won't fix the car nor replace it but expect me to pay extra warranty to cover the cost? Why is this dealership in particular in business? Their greed is getting the best of them all while the customer is without a car. I am filing a BBB complaint. People are good, its their greed that gets their head twisted. My husband and I ordered a Bronco 2 years ago we had price protection directly from Ford when my husband went to pick up our Bronco after waiting for it for 749 days he was told they weren't honoring the price protection and then they added $8000 is thing we didn't want to our Bronco! it was the worst buying experience ever!! read more

I have never hated a business so much. I am 21 years old and was t-boned by an unlicensed, uninsured driver. Tracy ford has not only been terrible about returning my calls, BUT they continue to tell myself, and my gap agency that they're able to obtain some documents needed when in fact they AREN'T! They told my gap 4 days ago they'd obtain a document needed to complete the process so I called for an update today and what do you know, they can't/won't help but didn't bother to mention that to anyone. Not only this but last year when I purchased the ridiculous 2014 Ford Focus, it has a clutch issue! So it sat in their shop for days with no update only to be told they wont have a clutch for 4-8 weeks. Eh, I tried to shake it off because I was trying to understand that these cars are famous for this. SO STAY AWAY FROM THEM! And then, ooo the best part. They told me they'd included free paint treatment on my car. Which 1. WAS NOT FREE and 2. Didn't help at all. the paint chipped days after applying the chemical. AND they told met they were able to offer a 7 year bumper to bumper warranty - without asking if I'd wanted to pay for one made it seem like a part of the deal. And I paid almost 4k for it. So, to sum up this rating. I have worked in a car dealership, but the amount of crap they added onto my loan was ridiculous, and had they told me about it I wouldn't be so pissed. And by the time I'd found out all I could do was cancel my warranty, which wasn't a good move considering the lemon of a car it was. read more
