Stay away from here until the virus has passed because the formerly nice store isn't as pleasant as it used to be. I don't know who they've hired lately but the vibe isn't the same. Some of the young staff are rude (especially the ratchet looking blonde who still thinks she's still in jr high school, girl do yourself a favor, buy a hairbrush). I witnessed her being rude to several of the customers, mimicking their speech and making remarks about them to the checker who was helping me with my groceries. This Trader Joe's is a little more spacious than some of the other ones I've been to. I like the larger aisles! The staff was friendly and helpful when I asked for almond meal. I was distracted by the whole almonds right above the almond meal when I walked by! Lol. Trader Joe's usually has a better deal on almond meal than any of the other markets I've been too. $6.99/lb here compared to $10+/lb elsewhere. Good deal! I love this TJs! The staff is exceptionally kind and compassionate. I recently had my first baby and came here throughout my pregnancy. A few times I was feeling nauseous and they offered me a lollipop at checkout. How sweet is that? Now that I've had my baby they have helped me out to the car when I've been overwhelmed with a newborn. I also like that this location is next to Smart and Final so I can pick up items you can't get at TJs. The parking isn't great but that's to be expected at a TJs. I would ignore the 1 star reviews. This Trader Joe's used to have great customer service and nice employees, what's up with the women who work here??? Came to this Trader Joe cause I was a around neighborhood and just coming out a 12 hrs shift I figured I would be able to go in as I have to my local Trader Joe but unfortunately this Trader Joe doesn't accommodate their essential workers. Special shout out to a lady cashier named Annie (?) who offered to come all the way to the parking lot to get my card to pay and carry the bag to the font seat of my car when my son was throwing a tantrum for 30+ minutes and there was absolutely no way for me handle the groceries and him at the same time... This Trader Joe's (TJ) is my favorite of them all. I am constantly moving and TJ is my main grocery store, I've shopped at many different ones here in the San Fernando Valley, Camarillo and LA area and I have without a doubt finalized that the Chatsworth TJ is my favorite one. We get it hipsters, you think Trader Joe's is some sort of magic portal into the land of healthy and savings and magic. In reality Trader Joe's is a slightly above average grocery store made almost unuseable by the mobs of idiots who shop there. This place is right across the street from my house and if I see the parking lot is busy- I just starve rather than try and brave it. The store has like 5 aisles total, and yet getting in and out can take hours with the legions of 2 buck chuck addicts trying to get every sample of organic fair trade quinoa enemas before you do. That being said, there are some very good things you should be getting here -black bean dip- this is pure gold. One of the tastiest store bought dips on the market -min peanut butter cups- again, these are actually worth the hype people give this store -frozen Indian food- samosas, curries etc- this stuff is by far there best pre-packaged meal -black bean snack crisps- amazing -little ritz rip off chese and cracker things Things that aren't good -meat and vegetable prices- we get it everything comes in a neat little package-those onions are so cute!- but nevertheless some of this stuff is a bit preposterous -everyone who shops here read more

There are so many wonderful reasons why you should goto Trader Joe's. First, the products. You can get fresh produce, deli meats, canned goods, nuts, dried fruit, oils, vinegars, cheeses, tons of frozen food, eggs, dairy products, juices, baking supplies, cookie spreads, spices, pastas, salads, lots of different candies and snacks, cookies, a wide variety of tofus better than even some asian markets, proteins, artisan breads, pastries, cakes, pies, sodas, beer. Sure other markets carry these products too, but there's just this element that makes it magical from Trader Joe's. The decor at any Trader Joe's location is just perfection. They are all customized with colorful paintings, hand made signs and displays by local artists. It gives the customers and the employees a friendlier environment to be in. The store will never look the same twice because they constantly add or change the design elements. Also the packaging, don't get me started on that, the aesthetics are thoughtful and consistently creative, up to date and not generic. Their wine selection is a gold mine. It's a little daunting choosing wines because let's face it, we have no idea how it's going to taste. Arguably, that's the fun of selecting wine or even beer, it's the surprise factor. In 1972 President Nixon served Schramsberg Blanc de Blancs at the "Toast to Peace" in Beijing, China. It became the official sparkling wine of the white house and still is today. This grand dame of sparkling wines, Schramsberg, averages $150 per bottle. Next time you're at Trader Joe's look for the Schramsberg Mirabelle brut rose, for $18 you can enjoy a the fine bubbles that the presidents are accustomed to. If you're in Napa Valley and puzzled about what vineyards to tour, skip all the rest and goto Schramsberg, it's worth the $45 and you'll taste all the sparkling wines including their cabernet savignion and other special ones. I say the heart and soul of Trader Joe's is the staff... they are all really cool. No one is above any job or anyone, they are all sincere and hard working. And they're all wearing hawaiian shirts. Tips: There's a smart and final, and a Kahoots next door in case you need to grab any dog supplies or last minute drinks, snack, food items in bulk. The parking lot is plentiful, be cautious because there are lots of pedestrians including small children who usually aren't looking. For you die hard Trader Joe's fans, next time you're in New York, check out the Brooklyn location (Cobble Hill, on Court Street). It's in what appears to be an old bank. read more

The workers here are all friendly and they're a joy to talk to. They offer free coffee and they have a 99 cent card section. They have really good buffalo jerky. I can't think of one negative thing to say about this Trader Joes. I am in love with their products, it's spacious and we never feel rushed when we are shopping. The parking is more than sufficient. I have a favorite associate that always calls me by name and makes a point to ask how I'm doing. Not only that, the staff obviously believes in the products, because they always let us know at checkout when we are purchasing something that they have tried and loved. When you ask them about an item, more often than not they've tried it and can offer you educated feedback. It's a rare occurrence to find something out of stock. My compliments to management. The staff is always very friendly and willing to help. One time an employee saw me struggling to decide if I wanted to buy their matcha tea. She approached me and offered for me to open a can just to try it. She said it would be under her name/tab. I've never had that happen elsewhere so I'm very grateful. I am absolutely pleased with this store. Every time I go in, it feels like a trek through a glorious field of tulips and roses. The people there are absolutely incredible, but I feel like this is a time to give a special shoutout to crew member Anthony. Yesterday, I went into the store to do my normal grocery shopping and Anthony's customer service along with his superior bagging techniques was like something I'd never seen before. Always my favorite store. I can find interesting and unique product, like few days ago I bought a pumpkin shaped pasta. Today I cooked them and realized that I should've stuffed them with cheese. My favorite location only because they are ALWAYS fully stocked on all sorts of salads for lunch. These salads are banging! And for only 5 bucks and change. Some even go for less. Love this store, but I wish they carried special organic baby food or some type of natural meals. I think they have the lowest prices on eggs (one dozen for only $1.29), salad and chips. Organic fruits and meats are a bit pricey. Oh and try their yogurt (see pic below) I am addicted to it, it's just the most creamy and tasty than any other ones that I tried. I've been shopping here for decades and the one thing that has always been true is customer service... it has always been excellent, friendly, helpful, the employees always go out of their way to accommodate. This IS NOT the case at this store. Most everyone seems annoyed when you ask for something and what's more, the do not even offer to help. There are a few wonderful people at this store who do epitomize the courteous if their reputation, but unfortunately the masses there come across as self entitled brats. I returned once again simply because it so close and habit... but again, this time about 6 people around the nut and produce section and yet most of the salads and such in that area were all expired if not the next day. In all fairness I don't know when and how things are delivered but if delivery is not the issue then why is most perishable items are always expired on the shelves. read more

Great place for a nice variety of out of the ordinary stuff. They have plenty of natural and organic items, which is a big plus, but not as expensive as Whole Foods. They have lots of dried fruit, trail mix, nuts etc. which is my favorite part of the store. They have organic chocolate, non-gmo popcorn and other natural snacks. If you are a serious tree hugger like me, then they have natural washing detergents, soaps, toothpastes etc. Price? A bit higher than your average supermarket. Is it worth it? Solid Trader Joes in the Valley. For the most part, if you've seen one, you've seen them all. This small TJ's is a typical size, perhaps a bit smaller than average. There is a decent amount of parking, although it's usually pretty full when I drive by. The selection is decent. Employees are nice and accommodating. Despite the fact it seems like an older location, it's kept very clean and well maintained. Watch for great offers on fresh flowers as you enter the door. Solid location. 4 stars. read more
