This store is located in the Heritage Square shopping plaza off of Meridian Park/Concord Blvd. They have a Mechanics bank, PetSmart, Starbucks and many eateries in the same lot. How can you not love TJ's. I catch myself coming here on the busiest day of the week (Sunday). If I know a busy week is coming I come and stock up on the pre-packaged salads for $2.99 that come in a complete meal kit. Those are live saving! Also, they have a great selection of frozen meals that are very quick to heat up during the week. They have fried rice, chicken teriyaki, veggie burgers and etc. I buy the sprouted tortillas and make a wrap with the veggie burger for a quick meal. The snack section has plenty of affordable options. I like the $1.99 olive oil/sea salt popcorn. How can you go wrong with that? :) The wine selection is plentiful as well and will not break the bank. I have purchased descent wine anywhere from $5-$8 a bottle. I LOVE TRADER JOES! This is not my normal location that I visit but it was more convenient on my way home. This location actually seems slightly bigger than the walnut creek location. The cheese selection here also seems larger. Which if you know me is disastrous because I will take hours just to pick out the cheese I want and leave spending all my money on the cheese! I contained myself this trip through and just picked up some to die for ricotta and fresh mozzarella. We used the ricotta on homemade pizzas and lasagna. It was super creamy and rich. Hands down the best ricotta. It is also the start of fall so we got other great goodies like butternut squash and pepito salsa! They also had pumpkins and gourds out for sale too! It was really hard not to get them all but again I have to contain myself. When October 1st comes though I will not hold back! read more

I love Trader Joe's, I get many of my grocery and skincare staples from here. This location does well at mask enforcement and crowd control, however I've witnessed people ignoring signs and placing in sanitized carts with the sanitized ones. That's not the store's fault so I always re-sanitize my cart. One star off because this location is always out of something I want or doesn't yet carry something that is available at the Fairfield location. Sometimes that can be frustrating but I still give 4 stars because customer service is consistently great and the lines at this one move fast. I enjoy the efficiency of it all. It doesn't matter which Trader Joe's you go to, Traitor Joe's has pulled its organic brown rice Fusilli noodles. This is a major loss for celiacs, gluten and glysophate sensitives who depend on this food item to provide ONE pasta that can be served to all without concern of creating ill health or being "outed" as an obvious and inferior substitute for wheat pasta. Haven't been here in several months and had heard stories about the lines, but I gotta say if you show up here later on a Friday night you might almost have the place to yourself! I missed Trader Joe's and their signature items that can't be found anywhere else. Also picked up a few favorite goodies like the dark chocolate peanut butter cups. Yum. I'm not sure if the store is going out of business but the shelves are bare and the store is filthy. I've never seen a Trader Joe's look this awful ever at 4:15 on a random Wednesday. The cashier was pleasant though, even though lines were un-Trader Joe like and very long (3+ and no bells ringing). At 5:30 it was like staff just showed up like elves magically and started dragging products out and blocking the aisle and the cases so again, it was hard to shop crates were everywhere. I don't know, but hopefully just a bad day and someone just screwed up the schedule. read more

This location gets super crowded (especially from 2-6 on a Sunday) and the aisles are a bit narrower than some other locations. However, parking is never an issue. Trader Joe's always looks very clean and fresh inside as well. Love this grocery store! Came here the other day to grab some snack essentials for my beach day. Came around 9:15am when they just opened. They already had sanitized carts ready for customers to use. Great location, friendly staff and one of TJ's more comprehensive layouts (I've seen a few....interesting ones). Staff is pretty accessible on the floor which is nice. My only pain point is that: 1) produce/perishable items at this location seem to sit out longer than another location I started to sneak to (dates on labels is what I'm going off of, and visual look of produce). 2) usually when they are out of something, staff seems to have no idea when it will be back or a status update. Kids kind of give me a blank look. VS the other location I started going to more.....they either speak to someone in another position or disappear to the back and provide me with an update. Overall, this is my main location, but I started finding myself driving further to another one because of qualify of perishable food, better stocking, and overall ...professional. read more

I consider this Trader Joe's the successor to the now closed branch that was once located at the Willows in Concord. At one time, that Trader Joe's was one of the few available in the Bay Area, and considered to be a bit of a destination stop. Now from my home in Albany, the El Cerrito or Emeryville stores are easily accessible (parking and crowds permitting). And Trader Joe's continues to supplement my main Safeway and Lucky's grocery trips nicely. I personally find that the Trader Joe's merchandise is mostly the same from store to store. However, each one lays them out a little differently and it takes some time to get oriented correctly. This Trader Joe's also has a pretty decent flower selection and this is where I bought my first bunch of flowers for Gayle (tulips). read more

My favorites include: Spicy Hummus and Mini Pitas - great for work meetings, everyone always love it Goat Cheese & Walnut Salad - my most favorite salad EVER Peanut Butter Pretzels - I try not to buy these because once I eat one, I eat the entire bag Cuties - Delicious fruit with a wonderful name Fage Greek Yogurt - I like the 2%. Very tasty with a dollop of jam and/or fresh fruit I try and bring my own grocery bags because it's good for the environment and you also get to fill out a raffle ticket for a gift card drawing. read more

My favorite Trader Joe's by far! It does have it's busy times but the shoppers just seem more polite than at some of the other locations I used to frequent due to where I used to live (El Cerrito and Pinole). I hear some people complain that TJ's is more expensive than...I don't know let's say Safeway for example. I have a hard time seeing the comparison. I find TJ's easier and more convenient to shop at, love the plethora of organic products, and the eco friendly cleaning and health products. The only thing I don't like about shopping here (and I know this is wrong, but this is Yelp after all so I'll be frank...) is that an abnormal proportion of the shoppers here appear to be spectacularly overweight (it's a Concord thing, I think...). It troubles me a little to do my grocery shopping amongst such obesity, though I suppose it helps me keep my selections healthy. That aside, this is a good TJ's. It's less crowded and more spacious than many others I've been to, and the staff is very friendly and helpful (and apparently perennially stoned, according to what a couple of giggly staffers at the sample bar told me about their work culture). read more

Trader Joe's is a blessing in a world full of grocery chains offering up the same ol' crapola, or overpriced 'health'. I'm still amazed at how much goodies I can walk out of TJs with for such a fair and reasonable cost! Thanks to TJs, I have fallen in love in with epic trail mix, free range brined whole chicken, organic EVERYTHING, orange chicken (DUH), endless produce and pre-made lunch options, frozen greek vanilla yogurt, hummus hummus hummus...the list just never ends! The employees in this store are awesome, and while sometimes it seems like there are always people stocking shelves no matter when you go, they will always make room for you to shop and help you find what you're hunting for. I've also received some great tips in the checkout line, I would never have found the speculoos cookie butter without one awesome checker lady in particular! I love trips to Trader Joe's. The staff is always friend, and willing to help you with anything. The food is always great. Tons of healthy products to satisfy your needs. The little price tags are so cute. Each one unique with helpful information about the product. The prices are great considering you're buying good quality food. They always have free samples and free coffee. However, I do wish there was more fruits because they only have a very limited amount. But I was especially blown away by the tons of sushi they had. Trader Joe's is definitely the best place to go to if you want great healthy food for a great price. And don't forget to listen for the bells. Those rings are so fun to watch out for. I think it's amazing how fast the staff repsonds to just 2 rings from a bell. read more

My lovely, local Trader Joe's - and thankfully one of my favorite locations! Very clean lay-out of the store means I'm not constantly smashing into other people. Beautiful and affordable fresh flowers, great samples (with staff who actually stay on top of putting out more & refreshing the coffee), and a super-nice guy in the wine section that can lead you directly to any wine you're looking for. This TJ's comes in as a close second to my home store but boasts all the wonderfully magical items which make me open my wallet wide without the buyers remorse of course! Equally friendly staffers and what seems like a tad more merch space, I've gotten boyfriend to be almost as excited to come here as I am! He's been known to love their Vegetarian frozen food offerings while I forever covet their sweets! Lately I just come to stock up on their addictive Turkey Burgers (made with sea salt and rosemary). Trader Joe's is what every grocery store should be, friendly, convenient and full of good eats. I love the prepared salads for busy weeks. Spices are affordable here. This time of year it's full of pumpkin everything. I draw the line at pumpkin tortilla chips. Since TJs tend to be smaller it is easier to get in and out quickly. And you won't find name brands here even though items are made by name brand suppliers. Edamame hummus, frozen lava cakes, fresh flowers, sparkling wine too many good things to count here! read more

For years I thought that Trader Joe's was for the wealthy only. That they carried high priced specialty foods. Well I have to say I have changed my mind. I heart Trader Joe's. Always will. The rack of lamb, SO good - so easy. Can't beat $2 buck Chucks. The chicken is hormone free, eggs cage free, always a good thing. Just an amazing selection of everything. You really have to see it to believe it. Prices are always good. There's a hidden gem there, as you walk down the frozen food section, look up. All the candies, cookies and chocolates you can dream of...almost Wonka Land. And they are ALL good. I like to try a different package every few weeks. Our favorites are the dark chocolate covered orange sticks and pecan clusters. I wanted to review this particular Trader Joe's because of the owner. I just recently moved out to Brentwood and I MISS this Trader Joe's. Before we moved, I frequented the Concord Ave Joe's (used to be the Willows Joe's) for approx 10 years. The owner was ALWAYS nice and seemed to always be there watching over things. The Brentwood store is nice too, just not the same. read more

I love Trader Joe's and this one is pretty much on par with all the others. Lots of helpful and friendly workers. It's quite close to work, so whenever I feel like running some grocery errands or picking up a lunch, I can easily get to it. Parking can be a little tricky in peak times. Right now it's Christmas season and so they have the Danish Kringle. I would suggest trying it out if you haven't yet, esp if you have a sweet tooth and like almond paste. Other than that, everything here is pretty standard like any other Trader Joe's. read more

The line was so long, but it was not a very long wait. It was nice to see people just laughing and enjoying the sun and company instead of complaining about the heat and how long the line was. I myself was enjoying the warmth of the sun and listening to people laugh and share stories with their loved ones. As soon as I got inside it wasn't very crowded and I was able to get what I need in less than 5 minutes. As soon as I was done shopping, I went to buy some flowers which were significantly affordable considering flowers are not cheap and these were nice flowers. This Trader Joe's location is very clean, and organized. They are handling all of the COVID 19 safety measures, and make sure that everyone's in compliance. Went to Trader Joe's on Concord Ave today, first time there. Nice clean store, good selection, good prices. And the cashiers! They were AMAZING!! They gave my kids stickers and lollipops. They had my kids laughing. My kids are 12 and 9 and hate running errands with me. When we left they said they loved that store and can't wait to go back!
