This is a really great store! They have an amazing selection of wines. They have a few options for sulfate free wine if you're looking for that! This is where I go to get my cheeses. They have a better selection than the grocery stores and the prices are way better. Ive had better luck here with produce than at the grocery store by my house. Parking can be a battle if you come during peak hours. But for the most part they have a good amount of parking available. The employees here are incredibly friendly and always so helpful. I feel silly writing a review for a well established grocery store, but ehh who cares? Love this place and come here weekly! And you don't have to be a hipster to enjoy it either, contrary to popular belief! ;) Confession: There are many times that I've come here (without having a reason to do so other than I was bored) and left empty handed. I'll just peruse their stuff for cooking inspo! Conceptually, this is like the broke man's Central Market or Whole Foods - they specialize in natural, organic and specially procured produce and dry goods. Lots of the stuff is their own store brand. Some of the produce can be and is pricey, but you can bet it's good quality! Some of my fave produce: the cruciferous crunch bagged greens mix, broccoli slaw bagged greens, and most of their fruit is sweet! Favorite dry goods: spicy dried mango strips, sweet and spicy pecans, their TJ chocolate fiber bars and, yes, SRIRACHA RANCH salad dressing (I go through a bottle of this REAL quick). Favorite frozen items: thai shrimp dumplings, latkes, truffle and cheese pizza. Don't pass up the small beauty/wellness aisle either! That minty TJ shampoo and conditioner is super refreshing and their TJ aloe vera gel makes a dang good moisturizer! Also random, but their plants seem to survive a while! I bought an orchid from the Plano store back in 2014 and it survived for 2+ years!!! (That might not sound like an accomplishment to many people, but I'm a plant serial killer. Not on purpose, I promise!) They always have samples and free, hot and fresh coffee in the back near the baked goods. The part that I love the most besides their interesting inventory is their service. Each and every employee seems passionate, quick to give a recommendation should need be, AND they actually are knowledgeable about their products! Who wants that quality ? This is somewhere in the middle, but only price wise. It's in its own little category . I used to go to the one at Preston/Park, but I'm so glad they built one here ! This area needed some pop! So, if you want to find products you can't find elsewhere , novelty foods like cookie butter or mochi , this is your spot ! Please note that you will not find your typical name brands here . 80% of their supply is under the Trader Joes brand . And it's a great brand if I may add. Products include gourmet foods, organic foods, vegetarian foods, unusual frozen foods, imported foods, domestic and imported wine and beer. From what I've researched , the company started back in the day to fill the need for items people would get on vacations domestically or internationally and to provide a place to get some of those items in their own cities. And this is true. I've tried many cultural dishes from their frozen department, which is super cool . My favorite items are the mini heirloom tomatoes , packaged oatmeal, steel oats, chocolate mochi ice cream, Granny's Apple Granola cereal, Cowboy bark, frozen orange chicken, fried rice, any of their yogurts, basil , Winter Wassail drink (fall/winter), and many more! The usual, outstanding selection of food; friendly service; and respectful pricing can be found in this Trader Joe's. The location; however, is what made me whip my car across three lanes to verify that indeed a Trader Joe's had moved to my neighborhood. It's technically Preston and Beltline but definitely closer to Preston and Alexis, in front of Hobby Lobby. The inside layout is just like the Walnut Hill location but the parking outside is WAY better because there is more space and more "good" spots than either the Plano or Walnut locations. I enjoyed my visit and learned a little tip for you! I know the Plano location rarely gets Kringle from O&H bakery in Racine, WI, but they get them and they sell them for 1/3 the price you'd pay online from the bakery itself (same price you'd pay if you walked in that bakery though). I asked if this TJ's would carry Kringle from time to time. They will. More importantly, I learned that I could call ahead and find out if they have it on any given week. If they do, they can hold one for me (I've never seen more than 8 on the shelf). If they don't, they will order it for me! Trader Joe's will order their food special for moi?! I heart feeling like my favorite grocery store works for me. Needless to say, I'm delighted TJ's has moved to my neighborhood! I'm so glad they finally opened a Trader Joes in Dallas!! I've been a Trader Joes fan for many years and went all the time when I lived in California. So this place reminds me of home. They opened just a couple months ago and it is pretty consistent with the other Trader Joes I've been to. Customer service is always great. They greet you with a smile and are very helpful when trying to look for certain items. They also have a demo station where they serve samples of new foods. I like how they clearly label the products that are on the Fearless Flyer (Ad) with the bright chalkboard signs with a proper description. The main reason I shop here is the vast assortment of healthy snacks and dried fruit. They have so many different kinds I would love to try them all! The price point of the items are also fair. I usually get the dried Mangos called "Just Mangos" because its not loaded with sugar. The nuts are good because they have the unsalted, half salt or salt option. I prefer the unsalted. They also have great flavors like coconut cashews and chile lime almonds. My favorite is also the Trader Joes version of Pirates Booty popcorn. It taste just as good if not better and you get twice the amount for cheaper! This is a Trader Joes exclusive! I would recommend this place for anyone that is looking for healthy organic foods and don't want to break the bank. I just wish they still carried the flat dried bananas and assorted pieces of dried fruit rolls. read more

I love Trader Joe's, but some locations have got "it" and some locations don't. This is one of the locations that does not have that Trader Joe's pizzaz that I'm accustomed to, nor do they have the inventory level that other stores have. They carry all the stuff you'd expect from Trader Joe's...if it's in stock. I come here occasionally after work and they are often out of stock on items I'm looking for. Check out the pics I posted of the empty shelves. It could be that this location attracts more traffic causing them to run out of items, but on a Tuesday night the place was pretty empty, especially compared to the one off Walnut Hill Lane which is always a hot spot. Don't go to this Trader Joe's if you want something specific. read more

Love the fact that this place is very convenient for my trip in and out of work. This location is a great area and they have plenty of parking available. Their staff is very knowledgeable and were able to answer my many questions about their labeling and products. They are always willing to help or just offer a salutation when you walk in. They always seem fully stocked (loved their wine in a can!), and their prices are extremely reasonable. Convenient check out process with credit card readers with chips for a safer way to shop. No response. She finished checking me out still not a single word. She and the bagger were chatting about beer. He at least asked if I wanted a particular item in a bag. There are some pretty crazy things for sale at this place, and there's nothing they won't do with cookie butter, but I couldn't be happier that this has popped up at the most convenient possible location for me. I have a love/ hate relationship with the Addison Whole Foods. Love the convenience, but they don't carry everything I'm looking for and their prices are crazy high! Enter Trader Joe's. Their chicken soup dumplings are as good as any xiao long bau in the area, at a fraction of the price. Same with the macarons. At $5 for a box of 12, I can easily rationalize throwing away the yucky fig flavored ones and then devouring the rest of the box. Welcome Trader Joe's, thanks for classing up the place. Hoping more trendy and cool spots will take your lead and move into this under- utilized corner that SHOULD be a major destination with all the traffic that passes by each day. read more

Trader Joe's is awesome. Everyone knows this. I'm just happy I don't have to drive to the Plano location anymore, because that one is a clusterfck. Plenty of parking (shares with Hobby Lobby and the other shops in that complex). Win! Always plenty of carts and baskets. Helpful staff. All the things I want are always stocked. I can get in and out of there in less than half an hour (included the time I take mulling over which snacks I should buy and which ones I need to convince myself I'm better off without). I LOVE Trader Joe's! As a single guy that doesn't cook much and hates going a "real" grocery store, Trader Joes is perfect for me. I can get 90% of the things I need from Trader Joes with way less hassle than going to Tom Thumb or especially WalMart. This particular Trader Joe's is a little smaller than others and it's tucked away a little bit from the main road(Preston). Thankfully for me, I think this is why this store is always easy to get in and out of quickly. I always come with a list of about 5 or 6 things I need to buy and end up with 15 things that are all delicious. Going here hungry can be dangerous. read more

This is a great store, with excellent and very kind employees and managers. My mother is elderly and doesn't move around like she used to and she tells me they're always helping her out, with acts of kindness and generosity. They also stand behind their products and give their customers the benefit of the doubt...that has been my family's experience. We don't shop for food anywhere else anymore. Being treated well DOES make a difference. The shopping itself is great, with less expensive prices than Whole Foods. I love stuff like the rice pudding or even exclusive new in-store brand drinks like Watermelon and Cucumber Juice....so refreshing in this blazing hot Texas summer! Trader Joe's had very low prices and the back ground on Trader Joe's is amazing, you should do some research on it before you judge. This location has some of the most friendliest people working whole make genuine conversations us and they remember us. They also give tips for certain products we buy and then they ask us about it the next time they see us. You don't get that at other big box stores! Since January of this year (2020) Trader Joe's has been taking extra measures to keep customers safe! They've been way ahead of the pack on sanitizing, keepin up with social distancing. I've loved Trader Joe's prepackaged salads for at least the past year or more. They make easy, delicious, healthy lunches. Then I got out of the habit for a while, but when I went back this past weekend, I was in for an unpleasant surprise. I purchased about 10 salads, most in duplicate, and all of which I've had countless times before...but not like this. Some change has been made, first evident in the change in packaging on the salad labels. I thought, hey, no big deal...but then I started digging into them. The preparation is much less consistent than it used to be -- between two identical salads, one had a ton of chicken and cheese, while the other had about half that amount. More upsetting is that the salad qualities have decreased significantly. Take, for example, the "Field Fresh Chopped Salad with Grilled White Chicken." It now features about 50% cabbage (formerly all romaine), about three tiny pieces of soggy bell pepper (formerly a nice scoop of fresh bell pepper), currants that are so dehydrated they're like little flavorless rocks, and the world's tiniest little dish of salad dressing, such that I could barely get the dressing to coat anything or impart any flavor to the salad. My husband had the other one of those salads and came home with the same complaints independently. The salads were easily the #1 reason I ever shopped at Trader Joe's (I know, I know, but really it's not as cheap as you've convinced yourselves it is), so I probably won't be back anytime soon unless I get word that this was just some sad fluke. Anyone out there have suggestions for a place where I can buy great prepackaged salads for lunches? Looking for a new supplier. :( read more

This review is based mostly on my experience shopping today, amidst the pandemic that shall remain nameless. This was my first trip to a store in a few weeks and I'll be honest, I was nervous about the 6 foot rule, the store being too crowded, not getting what I needed - but I was pleasantly floored with the organization and planning surrounding safety! A very nice worker was staggering those entering and leaving so too many people weren't in the store at a time. This is amazing. He was getting crap from people too, but he was doing an amazing job at communicating with the crowd and being friendly, helpful, and professional. The store was well stocked with most items and the workers as always went above and beyond, but even more so today. Thank you Trader Joe's! read more

This is hands down my favorite grocery store chain and this location rocks! I can find fresh, high quality ingredients at an affordable cost! They carry a wide selection of products and their customer service is always on point and boy oh boy can their staff pack! Everything always gets bagged nice and neatly so you get home without anything getting squished or deformed :) I've noticed Sunday late afternoons to evening is usually very busy but even then their wait times are much shorter than the bigger stores but if you are in a rush I recommend avoiding those times. read more

I came here on a rainy Friday morning at 8AM, I had some time to kill and wanted to check out the new Trader Joe's. Boy am I happy I did! This Trader Joe's like the rest is beautifully set up, with lush fruit tasty treats, and all kinds of random cool food. Most everything is their own brand. But what gets me are the prices, the fruit here is so fresh and perfectly set up it is the kind of grocery store I dream to get my fruit from(it's also REASONABLY priced) not over priced like other all natural stores.I ended up walking through the whole store and leaving with an assortment of things. From mushrooms, to pumpkins, to ginger and delicious turkey patties. I cannot wait for my future trips here, The ONLY reason I did not give it 5 stars was the employee who checked me out was incredibly annoyed I bothered her.I had decided I didn't want an item in my cart and asked her if she could take it off. She didn't say anything rolled her eyes and rang this loud bell, and that bell was loud for an 8AM grocery trip.Other than that this store was perfect! When Traders Joe first opened in Plano I was disappointed. I was expecting a sort of Central Market, I guess... Then I tried other times and got hooked! This particular store is new, my review is for the company as a whole. I have tried many products and was just let down by some chips and snacks that look like cheetos of some sort. silly me... if the original is not good, the "generic" woukd be worst. And it is, skip it! On the other hand, everything else I tried was great and my favorites are: the pretzel with peanut butter, toffee, crunchy almond butter, mochi ice cream, macarons, cheeses, prosciutto, smoked salmon, the triple ginger cookies, cheap wine (I liked the nouveau for winter), pizza crust, brisket... OMG I really need to change my diet! LOL I am not a big fan of the produce... seems to me it's not very fresh for some reason and not much variety. Am I wrong? Anyway... what I also love about the stores is their people! Where did they find such nice crowd to work there? They are very kind and helpful, it is a pleasure to visit the store and have so many great folks around. Excellent job! I really love Trader Joe's. It's a great place to stock up on healthy and organic options, but a word of caution, this place is PACKED on the weekends. I usually go after work to beat the crazy weekend rush, but unfortunately that means a lot of the favorites are gone. Cauliflower rice can be found in the fresh produce or frozen section. I prefer the frozen since it's organic and great for storage purposes, but it is frequently sold out. If you see it STOCK UP, it may not be in next time. That broccoli slaw, shredded carrots, organic cage free eggs, and the pineapple spears are weekly staples. I get a little annoyed when things like clarified butter (ghee), low fat coconut milk, and other favs are out, but that's just the nature of the store being so popular. The staff is always friendly and helpful even when they are busy. There have 2$ wine (yay for 2 dolla holla), and an excellent selection of cheeses for when you are craving cheese. They also have cookie butter and cookie butter ice cream :). read more

This is the BEST grocery store in my neighborhood. The prices and food are amazing. Brian the Manager is overly helpful and customer service oriented. The checkers you can tell LOVE their jobs and so nice if they see the check out line getting long they ring the bell on help is running up to open a register.
