TRADER JOE'S @ TOTEM LAKE This is one of my favorite Trader Joe's to go to! It's always clean in here, and I love the way they organized everything with little dividers and baskets. Everything at this Trader Joe's is always great to see, all the new items and the old mostly in the same areas you can easily find. I also love the decor and the signs of the streets they put on in each register, makes you want to go to a specific one. Overall, the place is always great to drop by. Parking can take a bit to find on weekends since it's busy. Service is great, always good energy and workers around if you have any questions!

This Trader Joe's is located in a busy and crowded shopping plaza. Wow, crazy busy. Well stocked shelves, fresh produce, etc. They did have a type of grape, that was new for me. Not that I am a grape expert or anything remotely close. Candy Snap Grapes - Strawberry flavor with grape crunch. One day, someday, I will try it!

This Trader Joe's location I'd say is probably my main store. It is very close to one of my work sites, so while finishing up work I can stop in here and get all my Trader Joe favorites. Because this Trader Joes is in a strip mall, it can expectedly be pretty crowded as is the parking lot. This Trader Joes is well kept up with workers keeping things stocked and even had a worker approach me to ask if I needed any help. As friendly as the staff are usually at Trader Joes, that was a first. They've brought free samples back at the location too, I assume that's the case for others as well, but I've seen it more frequently at this location that helps it stand out. Also, I appreciate that this Trader Joes has not 1, not 2, but 3 bathrooms! Checking out is usually pretty good here. Even with the afternoon rush of people in here, I haven't had to wait too long. Of the trader Joe's I've visited I'd have to say this one the best so far.

I had a delightful experience at the totem lake trader joes! George was a very helpful employee and introduced me to some of his favorite items.

Tis the season for maple flavored goodness.

I was down in Kirkland scoping out the local apartment $cene and needed "a couple of things" from TJs before I made the long trek home to Bellingham. So I figured, why not stop before I hit the road? This almost brand new TJs is located in The Village at Totem Lake, a densely-packed urban village boasting such notable names as Lululemon, Nordstrom Rack and Zumiez. The nice thing about sharing its digs with other retailers is that the parking lot is MUCH bigger than your average Joe's. Of course, it also means you might have to park pretty far from the store. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find a nearby parking spot right as I pulled into the parking lot on a Sunday afternoon. (True confession: I think I just got lucky!) I emerged from my rock star parking spot and headed for the store. There was a small, socially-distanced line to get in, but it moved quickly and I was soon inside. Even with limited occupancy, it was still pretty crowded inside, but it seemed like the majority of shoppers were trying to maintain that 6-foot span between their fellow TJs compadres while we all navigated the aisles of goodness. Since I was just there to grab "a few things" I "only" spent about an hour in the store filling my cart with "other things" I surely needed - such as many of their fall-themed products. I mean, if they're there you may as well buy them, right? And who doesn't need a tempting jar of Cinnamon Bun Spread sitting in the fridge...At. All. Times. All in all I found the Kirkland store to be pretty much your average-looking TJs - I had thought it might be larger to be honest, being in such a densely packed area. But it was clean and (thankfully) very well stocked, and the employees were super friendly and helpful in navigating me to find things like crackers (spoiler alert: they're in the liquor section). And that's what pretty much elevates any Trader Joe's experience: the people who work and (most of) the people who shop there. I sure do miss the samples counter though!

What's not to like about a TJ? This location is just as likeable as any other if not more because it's relatively new, about a year old. I haven't had any problems locating products in this store. The staff is friendly and helpful. As always, there's a sample area in the back as well as coffee. My favorite TJ foods: produce in small quantities, pre-made salads, sour cream and onion corn puffs, "Inner Peas", sulfate-free dried mangoes, frozen tri-color pre-cut bell peppers, frozen riced cauliflower, and frozen seasoned mushrooms. The biggest complaint most people have about this store location is the parking lot, that it's both crowded and driving routes can have blind/tight/dangerous angles. Just be aware. It's a few more steps away, but I prefer to park on the north side (where Ross is) and walk to avoid the chaos.

While shopping for groceries and enjoying a coffee with my friend Jane at the store, I politely asked for a cup of water. To my surprise, I was told -rather curtly- that water is only available for purchase. This was unexpected, especially since during a previous visit, I had been offered water with my coffee without any issue. When I expressed my confusion, the staff member (a woman of Far East origin) continued to be dismissive and rude. I found the interaction unnecessarily abrasive and not at all in keeping with the welcoming environment I had experienced before. Another Google review also describes a similarly combative attitude, perhaps from the same individual. If she remains on staff, it could seriously impact the business's reputation. I'll be steering clear of this location." It's unfortunate that a thoughtful concept--one that Stephanie clearly put care and intention into--is being undermined by poor customer service. Experiences like this can have a lasting impact on customer loyalty. It felt as though the staff member would have rather been anywhere else--and unfortunately, that lack of enthusiasm came through in the way she treated paying customers. I support sharing this feedback, especially since Stephanie--the owner--isn't likely to witness these interactions firsthand. Multiple honest reviews about the staff may help paint a more accurate picture of the experience customers are having. On a more positive note, my friend's sons really enjoyed everything she picked up from the store. She sliced up some cold roast beef and sautéed it with green beans and Stephanie's stir-fry sauce - it turned out great. Stephanie's concept of providing curated meal shortcuts really worked for them!pre

I walked it back into the store and asked the gal standing at the exit to the self check and asked if she was a supervisor or manager. She wasn't even kind or smart enough to speak to me, she just pointed to customer service and pointed to a line of customers she wanted me to get into. I moved the cart closer to her and said, "I'm not waiting in that line" and walked away. My blood sugar was rapidly dropping and as I walked away I took 2 glucose tabs. She never did say a single word to me. There are only a couple of competent employees at this store and I only shop there because some of there prices are good. I have transferred ALL of my prescriptions to CVS where everyone is far more competent and friendly. I suggest you do the same. And, as for your groceries there's Fred Meyer, QFC, and Trader Joe's. Today, 06/26, I went down the drinks aisle and there were various vendors and/or employees (hereafter "vendors") putting away merchandise. Most were to one side so as to not block traffic. One idiot had a cart on one side of the aisle and then merchandise directly next to it on the floor thus completely blocking traffic. When I approached, it appeared to me that he was quickly picking up the merchandise on the floor so he could move the cart and thus allow traffic to flow. Oh, what a fool was I to believe he was removing his traffic block. He looked up to me and said something like, "Oh, I didn't see you there. YOU should have said something." Examine the situation. 1) He did not apologize for creating the block to begin with. 2) And of course, he failed to prevent a block to begin with. 3) He says he didn't see me. Let me try that when I get in a traffic accident. Would my failure to see be a defense? Or the reason for the accident? 4) He then blames me. The whole issue is apparently because I didn't say something. Apparently, the burden was on me to tell him not to block traffic to begin with. And you know why he blocked traffic to begin with? Because he can. Because no manager at the store manages. And you know for how much longer he will do it? Until the day he is fired. He is not customer oriented; he is task oriented. He doesn't the see the customer as the reason for his job, he sees the customer as a burden to his job. He likely arrives in relief at the store knowing that the manager is always nowhere to be found. No vendor in a properly managed store would ever attempt to be so stupid as to have merchandise across the floor to completely block customer traffic.
