I'm not particularly a Trader Joe's fan. I take issue with the very large percentage of Trader Joe's items being pre-packed in plastic. Putting this aside , this is a great Trader Joe's. However, I am taking one star off because most of the golden berry containers contained some moldy fruit at the bottom. I'm severely allergic to mold so this is definitely a pet peeve of mine. Now for the good! The store was very clean, including the bathrooms that were sparkling clean. There was abundant staff around, so I could always find help; including when I brought attention to the moldy golden berries. In the produce area, there were at least two employees if not three. I asked about the strawberry plums. One of the produce workers shared that the strawberry plums are wonderful, and because of strawberry flavor, the plums are ready when firm. I had been hesitant to buy them because they all seemed quite hard... but she was definitely right and that container of plums did not last very long with us at all... so good! Checking out was easy Peezy with each checkout stand having an employee present and the employee I was helped by was super friendly, packed everything up efficiently and well. 2026 #12 read more

Our Trader Joe's here in Medford is one of the very best in which I have ever shopped. (The other one was in Santa Fe.). But, honestly, I think ours is the very best. In a time of both "shrinkflation" and inflation, Trader Joe's does a great job of providing top notch products with competitive prices. I buy a lot of things here, including pasture-raised eggs, half-and-half, whipping cream, organic butter, large 72% dark Belgian chocolate bars that I use in cooking, potatoes, organic produce of various kinds, ground, turkey, ground lamb, turkey at Thanksgiving, prime rib at Christmas, artisan cheese, Australian, red shrimp, the best beef bone broth, as well as chicken and turkey bone broth that I have ever purchased, and many seasonal items. I thoroughly enjoy how sweet, happy -- and knowledgable -- all of the employees are. It is such a pleasure to go there. It's sort of like attending a party with friends while grocery shopping!!! My sweet husband went in search of local honey for me. A male worker at this store straight out lied to him. He said a brand called Local Hive was locally sourced. Without his reading glasses my husband couldn't read the label, and he took the male workers word for truth. The honey was from Vancouver. Shame on this worker and the store manager for hiring a liar. read more

We recently ordered flowers from here, coming from out of state and hosting the rehearsal dinner for our son's wedding. They exceeded our best expectations!! Morgan was super professional and knowledgeable when we ordered and extremely helpful and kind when we picked them up. Everything was ready on time and in easy to transport buckets carefully wrapped for our long travel. We are so happy we recently learned you could order flowers from Trader Joe's- extremely reasonable cost so you can really indulge with lots of blooms and greenery! And fantastic quality and service!! We are so grateful to Morgan and your team! Holy Schmoly this TJ'a takes the cake for the nicest one I've ever been in!! It seems FAR bigger than any TJ's I've been to but that could just have been my AWE. Stopping into this location in Medford before going to California for Thanksgiving was a great idea. Not only did we get what I needed but we definitely got a bit more. The employees were regular friendly not overly. The store was orderly despite the mass onslaught of pre-Thanksgiving shoppers. And the artwork in this location is FABULOUS. I have known Trader Joe's formerly known as Pronto Market since 1988 when I got a job there. Jump to 2024. Since then, I have found many of the products sold have either dwindled or are no longer. One such item is the selection of curry specifically Curry Naan. Now today the Trader Joe's Sparkling Water has shrunk their bottles from 42 FL OZ to now 33.8 FL OZ. Also noticed that the Curry White Meat Chicken Salad here at the Medford, OR location is smaller in size than the Redding, CA location. The only reason I occasionally return is for the new products otherwise I would kiss Trader Joe's goodbye. Very, very sad indeed. read more

Trader Joe's is good for pantry goods and I've always enjoyed the frozens and I love the organic peppermint tea, but several times I've bought produce here that is wayyy expired! Like 2-3 weeks after the expiration date! And I guess I should just check in the store... but why would they have them out if they're that bad?! read more

This Trader Joe's has the friendliest staff. So helpful in finding and recommending products. We've gotten delicious strawberries, pastries from the bakery section, and love the small packs of cheeses and cured meats that are perfect for a meal on the road. Also picked up aloe Vera here to soothe skin irritation. The lines were all long but they moved swiftly. I am not a Trader Joe's fanatic, but for years they've had a solid dozen or so items I enjoyed best from there store. Over the years, there have been changes and that list has shrunk. Today I woke up to the realization that the Trader Giotto's lasagnas are gone (both meat and vegetarian). There was no chilled almond milk and the plain corn chips my wife loved now have "Mexican street seasoning". I purchased two items, one an impulse buy, when after it was wrung up the cashier he just stood and watched me throw them into my own bag (which he had removed from the basket and put on the counter). Now I'm essentially done to one item, which is water, which I will still purchase there, but there will no reason to walk through the store, as it kept up front by the registers. Although it was more a specialty store to me, I'm sad for what appears to have been lost. read more

I just love the consistent friendliness and graciousness of this store. I enjoy warm holiday spices, and TJs has a great collection of pumpkin items. I wonder if the chia with pumpkin spices will return? I just finished eating the French Brie and tomato pizza/ Tart! YUM and a limited number of ingredients. Four tips: BAKE these longer than suggested, perhaps five minutes more, until the cheese and crust are lightly browned. This is a very thin pizza, so it needs added firmness. It has a wonderfully thin crust which is not nearly as filling so buy more than you think you'll need. It tastes much better to me with a generous sprinkling of dried Greek Oregano. The crust is so thin, you might want to roll it up for easier eating. I'm so glad it is not full of preservatives and non-food chemicals! read more

Store is clean. Fresh and tasty food. Ample parking. Staff member Patrick is a bully, he is rude, unkind and arrogant. If you'd prefer a pleasant shopping experience, do avoid his checkout line at all costs, he will treat you like a second class citizen. It was quite a terrible experience as he waited on me. He is nothing like the stellar, friendly assistance I have received in the store historically. His glare is menacing, should you ask a question of him, or fail to unpack your groceries from your bags fast enough, even though I was the only person in line. A new review during the times of the pandemic. Living in Ashland, I'll do most of my shopping in town but once in a while I'll drive to Medford and stock up at TJ. Trader Joe is the one supermarket that totally nailed it during these times. Employees are outside cleaning and sanitizing carts, waiting till a customer leaves the store before another one waiting in line is allowed inside. There are no exemptions for those who can't wear a mask due to medical conditions. That's something I am happy with; no tantrums at this store. Staff is typical 'happy to see you at Trader Joe.,' which is just always nice. Rarely does supermarket staff make customers feel, well, welcome for lack of a better word. This review is only about sanitizing and shopping during the pandemic. Everything else is pretty much the way TJ always has been. I have no complaints whatsoever. read more

Conveniently located off the 5, we stopped here recently for snacks and a bathroom stop. The parking was plentiful, their store was large, the staff was friendly and the restrooms were clean. I doubt I'll be back in the area again anytime soon, but if I were, I'd return without hesitation. Since moving here 9 months ago I have shopped at Traders every week. Our old Traders in San Rafael was one of our places to go. My kid and I shopped together for at least 10 years. We became almost familial For instance when my wife had a heart attack they gave us flowers. Moving to Southern Oregon in the middle of fires and pandemics was not easy. Traders has made it easy... Even during Covid Trader Joe's has top notch service! My pup needed water for her cool vest and water to drink. Since covid most of public water facilities are shut off making things a bit of a challenge. Megan made sure pup had water to drink and for her vest! I came in here one time about 8 months pregnant, having a terrible day. I forgot my wallet in the car and there was a huge line behind me. My cashier told me not to run and that no one would be angry about waiting. I started to get a little teary when I got back to the stand and my cashier gave me a strip of stickers and told me he hoped my day gets better. It was a pinnacle of human kindness in my shit day. Happy to find Trader Joes on a trip. In my opinion it's one of the best healthy food store chains around. Quality non GMO and Organic food with good staff and great prices. One of the favorites is the organic stevia! It's so sweet with no bitter after taste. I was in Trader Joe's the other day and starting thinking about my experiences there. I thought that I'd share my opinion of this establishment. Every time I go to Trader Joe's, the staff are welcoming, friendly, and sometimes rather funny. I've had a few cashiers who had a good sense of humor and whose humorous jokes or uplifting outlook made me smile. I've observed the staff helping customers to the best of their ability and seen a good rapport among the employees. The employees seem happier working here than many employees of other businesses that I have visited. It's a good atmosphere. There is a great offering of organic products here and I love how they have healthier versions of snack foods--such as Oreo cookies, graham crackers, Ritz crackers, and other things. I mostly come to Trader Joe's for snack foods for this purpose, since a lot of snack foods in regular stores have things like High Fructose Corn Syrup, artificial ingredients, preservatives, dyes, and GMOs. My opinion is that Trader Joe's is a great addition to our area and worth navigating the parking lot for. :) read more

So Much so I felt the need to finally review TJs and their awesome Employee KAT!*** I don't shop here often but I've also never had a bad experience here either. Employees are always super helpful, friendly, and sincere. All the foods we've bought and tried we've never had any complaint about, some were good- not quite good enough to purchase again but not horrible enough to return either. I hear they have an amazing return policy, fortunately I've not had to check it out. It was out 10 yr anniversary. I had called a few days before to confirm they regularly stocked Calla lilies. The guy double checked and reported he always sees them in stock. Great, I figured, since not many places in town actually have them on hand. So I stroll in yesterday afternoon to pick up a ridiculous amount of Callas. None on the shelves, so I enlist an employee for some help as im stressing out... Panic begins to set in. Kat, a cute, hip chick with an awesome style and personality helps me look around. I explain my dilemma, anniversary etc and she's so concerned she double checks the back room just in case... No luck. She genuinely felt apathy, offering me a bouquet of my choice, on the house. Come to find out they were having inventory done and have let their stock drop low to make accounting easier. Meaning: no callas NOW. Stressed and scrambling I start calling other local floral depts (Safeway, Freddie's, Costco...). Nothing. Kat kept insisting I take a bouquet or she would feel horrible. Eventually, I took her up on her offer... She wore me down! Only due to KAT.....They ended up getting a sale outta me. Since I needed to call an audible on the play and readjust my game plan and strategy, I paid for a dozen beautiful roses and took Kats offer to supplement. With her help, things went amazingly better, flowers were well received and my wife and I had a good laugh over dinner about the ordeal. Hey TJ! KAT deserves a raise and to be recognized as amazing person who made a difference in my day. She's a remarkable asset to your company and I will definitely be shopping with you guys more often SOLEY due to HER!!! read more

It's ok, but I've been to better Trader Joes. This one was a bit lacking. Produce seemed old and not as fresh as I was hoping. I couldn't find any kosher meats and cheese section looked liked it needed to be restocked. At least they had the Trader Joe hummus I love so much. Probably won't be back. read more

So glad there is a Trader Joe's in Medford! I was here last weekend and blew about $100 on my usual favorite stuff that I can't find anywhere else. Feta in brine? Check. Everything but the bagel spice? Check. High fiber but great tasting granola bars? Check. I can go on and on. Great prices on most everything.
