Everyone here is super helpful. I come here during my monthly shopping trip. I've been here at least 10 times and I've never had a single issue. Well stocked and clean. I would shop at TJ's exclusively if I could. Not much else to say about TJ's. I've been shopping there since the early 80's and I'll never stop. read more

Omg!! I looooooove this store! Now I know what the fuss is about! Originally from the beautiful islands of Hawaii (Oahu to be exact), friends going to the mainland always came back with gifts from TJs! But aside all the sweet, savory, seasonal, crunchy, creamy and delicious snacks, TJs has many options for everyone! I absolutely LOVE TJ's! BUT, the PARKING lot absolutely sucks. I wish they would move to an independent and more spacious area so old crotchety, impatient bitches like me could get in and out with less stress. I would shop here a lot more if it wasn't such a pain in the ass to drive in here. Almost every TJ's I have ever been to has had limited parking but this place isn't about the number of parking spots, it's the fact that they share the lot with what? 20 other stores? and the lot is simply not laid out very well. PLEASE PLEASE relocate to your own property and even better, move closer to Ashland! read more

I have been a hardcore Trader Joe's fan for many years when living in Petaluma. When I moved to Medford recently I was thrilled to know I could continue to feed my TJ's habit. I love the food selections and prices. I can't get everything I need from there, but they aren't trying to be all things to all people. What they do provide though, they excel at! Trader Joe's as a whole seems to attract and foster a unique environment and their employees seem to really like working there. If they don't, they're great actors. I have been SO pleased with every employee I've ever encountered and have been remiss for not paying attention to their names, but there is one I simply must point out. Emily! Last week she went above and beyond to make my day. I was having a hard one, which she discovered through basic chat and went out of her way to make me feel really special. I will never forget what she did to cheer me up. That is more than just an employee...that is a soul connecting with customers and what this world needs more of. There was another employee (I'll update this if I can see her again and get her name) that made me feel special many months ago. I had literally driven from Santa Rosa to Medford's TJ's to get a wee bit of food as I had been gone for ten days. When asked how I was doing I commented how I was exhausted from the drive. She asked about the fires that had just taken place. When I shared that I had family and SO many friends that lost everything she came around the counter to hug me. Both of those kind acts brought me to tears and they're welling up now just writing this as I remember how special these gals made me feel. Trader Joe's doesn't "train" compassion into their people. They can't "train" them to be happy. They can "train" good customer service, but a person knows when it's authentic. The staff at Trader Joe's Medford are absolutely amazing. I've gone just about every week for the last year and they always go above and beyond to be helpful and friendly. Wow! In a way I am kind of bummed because I don't have an excuse to hit the In' N Out Burger in Redding while justifying it with a run to TJ's. I am also worried because the pre-made Baklava, u-bake-em chocolate croissants, Lacey's toffee cookies, and my other favorite waste-expanding, delicious treats are now local and I can buy them anytime. I used to love Trader Joe's but there's such a lack of quality here. All of their leafy greens are in bags and not fresh! I don't see them supporting local ingredients. Also, most everything is Trader Joe's brand, not comforting considering some of their own prodcts have been subject to recall several times. Not coming back... P.S. The entrance/exit is ridiculous! People trying to leave have to use the same door people are trying to come in through. read more

This is a new store and my first visit. I have never lived anywhere long term with a Trader Joe's so my experience is limited to shopping as a visitor. This is the smallest Trader Joe's I have been to and I did not need much but I did a fair amount of browsing. I liked the items I bought and saw some I would buy regularly if I lived there. People were friendly and the store was clean. Both to be expected in a new store. read more

AT LAST! We have our own Trader Joe's. The crowd was huge today, but it was fun standing in line waiting to check out with all our baskets filled with goodies. Just about everyone there was elated that we finally no longer have to make pilgrimages to Eugene or Redding to get our Trader Joe's fix. Reminded me of Black Friday, but everyone was friendly and glad to have them in our neighborhood. Finally a reasonably priced alternative to the expensive co-ops and Gooseberries in Grants Pass. For well priced wine, reasonable priced gourmet items, and just fun food shopping, go here for a good experience. read more

I love trader Joe's and have up until now,never had a bad experience. I was checking out and paid and she hands me my reciept ad walks off before I can even put my card back in my wallet. That in itself is kinda rude but then I go grab my bag and she didn't even bag my groceries. I get it alot of ppl bring their own. I did not and she didn't ask. All this would be ok I guess if they were slammed but there was hardly anyone in there. Another employee looked over as I was bagging my own things and abt to leave which I appreciated. Does trader Joe's no longer use bags? I'm guessing they do because this has never happened before. Hopefully the employee that I'm guessing kinda saw what happened, explained for future reference how to be polite and bag groceries. read more

I recently started shopping at Trader Joe's (about 4 months ago) and I honestly dont know why I havent been shopping there for years. Their prices are pretty comparable to any regular grocery store. Some items may be a bit more spendy but you're paying for the quality of the food. Trader Joe's has become my primary grocery stop now. Tonight I had an especially great experience at store #155 in Medford, Oregon. Prior to checkout, I was eyeing some pink hyacinths that were near the register. I didn't grab any because I don't need anymore plants than I already have. But the gentleman who was checking me out noticed that I liked them and grabbed one off the shelf and gifted it to me for free. FREE. This store has such a great sense of community and that's one of the reasons I continue to return. I know I'm getting quality food and the people there are AWESOME. They are always in a good mood and are more than willing to help you find what you need. I will continue to return and highly recommend this company to people who are looking to make healthier food choices in their life. read more

The Trader Joe's in Medford Oregon is a wonderful place to shop. They have an extremely friendly knowledgeable, courteous, kind staff. All their food selection is excellent with the huge non-GMO selection. They also have a great wine department and produce department. It is easy to get to, easy get in and out with ample parking all the time. For a pleasant shopping experience I highly recommend Trader Joe's in Medford. I wish they were located in Ashland. read more

I really can't find anything positive about this store. It is extremely crowded and it is a very inconvenient parking lot/entrance. The things sold are very expensive and aren't that much better than other store brands. The produce is the exact same as Albertsons, but more expensive. Save time and money- regular grocery store is much better. read more

This is a pretty good traders Joe's. The parking lot is A bit crazy with all the shops it serves and as all Traders Joe's are it is s bit cramped. They have all the usual goodies that Trader Joe's offers. They however do not carry lemon juice. So they don't have everything just some things. This is more of a speciality store compared to WinCo or Walmart. They have a great selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, packaged foods, cheese, wine, sweets and so much more. The staff are always friendly, kind, helpful, respectful and efficient. The prices are decent, but add up fast. They have a beautiful selection of flowers for super good prices. I do a lot of my shopping here. read more

This is a "cult" store for many fans: re-located, better-off Californians who had long lobbied for a Medford branch. Aside from very cheap good wine, most of the items are expensive. The store is stocked primarily with snacks, beverages and prepared foods--good for those who don't cook. The quality of the items is generally good and many healthy foods are featured. The produce section is small and there is no fresh meat section. read more

I've almost given up on Trader Joe's. They are definitely NOT into building brand loyalty. They've discontinued many of the items I really love, and the latest is the Korean (style) BBQ Sauce. I stopped shopping at Bath & Body because I couldn't get the things I really liked, and Trader Joe's is getting close to being added to that list. read more

Although I am a poor college student, I can't help but do almost all of my grocery shopping here. It's the first Trader Joe's I've been to, as I've grown up in the Medford area and had never even heard of it until they started building one here. Everything I've bought here has been absolutely delicious. For healthy, fresh, organic, gluten-free, etc, their prices are amazing. Of course, they're not necessarily a health food store, but seriously, no matter what I buy here, healthy or not, it always tastes better than anything else. The reasons they lose a star from me: produce section, mainly vegetables, leaves a lot to be desired, especially where the prices are concerned. It seems their produce is double the price of the places I normally shop (but I usually shop at Food 4 Less so maybe I've set the price bar too low, haha). But still, there's nothing spectacular about the expensive vegetables. The fruit's alright, and their tiny little oranges are AMAZING, but for me, it's worth an extra trip to get most of my groceries here and go to Food 4 Less for my vegetables. :) I just want to reiterate and stress, everything I've tried from here tastes so good. And I've been doing my shopping here since they opened. I've never had anything like it. read more

The layout is slightly different than other TJ stores. Excellent selection of wines, huge fresh produce section, and very affordable organic products. The same dangerous "sin" aisle with all of our favorite indulgences, too! We'll be saving hundreds in gas now that we have a local store! read more

So sad. I have been here 3 times and keep hoping for more.I am used to Trader Joes in Reno NV where you get fresh food, sandwiches, salads, meals you want to take home and enjoy after a long day when you dont feel like cooking. This place is nothing but frozen and jar food. Bizzarly its very busy every time I go in, with middle to senior adged dirty grey haired (Medford...whats up with the dirty grey hair???) men and women in a frenzy to get the foods they think they want.They will crowd you, bump into you with out saying excuse me or just have to hover over you when your looking at something. I got a spinach dip today that was $3.69 and was horrible, it just tasted like ground up spinach in water...BALACH! The only thing I can say positive about this store is that the staff is always friendly. This was my last visit and Im sure this company couldnt care less but Ill go to Costco in the future. read more

I, admittedly, heart Trader Joe's. They have some great deals on certain things, addictive snack foods and a decent alcohol selection. The staff here is always friendly and looks smashing in hawaiian prints. The only things to really avoid here are fruits and vegetables (usually shipped in from out of the country and not very flavorful). The do have a decent selection of organic products, which I appreciate, but it's outnumbered by conventional products. I'll always come here for some of my favorite products and am happy to have this option here in Medford. read more

Love Trader Joe's but, sometimes it feels like going into the Ashland co-op. Its like people believe they are in Los Angeles. No complaints about the store, its nice & clean! But don't be fooled TJ's carries far more "natural" products than organic products. read more

Examples: Ezekiel Cinnamon Raisin bread, Olive oil (only slightly watered down, as Costco, some of the best in large channels), nuts, Tofurkey, some bottled fruit and vegetable juices. Shop also at Grocery Outlet, Shop'n'Kart, Winco, Walmart. Deli Some salads are good. A few are good price. Olive Oil & others Reasonable selection, good quality, reliable. Over the top customer service experience!!!! We purchased 16 bottles of olive oil as we don't get to Medford often. While loading it into our truck the box gave out and there was broken glass and olive oil everywhere. Out of nowhere a TJ's employee that was gathering shopping carts showed up and immediately went for cleanup help and 16 fresh bottles of olive oil. I can't think of another store where this kind of customer service could happen. Loyal customers for life! Thank you Trader Joe's! read more
