Starting to get more and more organic in- now separate area has been designated- that's cool
    Joanna M.

Winco is one of the cleanest grocery store chains I've ever shopped. I shopped for many years at the 82nd Ave location in Portland and now the past 14 years here in Medford. The store has competitive pricing and pretty much always has what I need. I'm glad winco is now including some organic produce - it needs to continue please! More organic choices will keep customers shopping in one location instead of having to go to the Co-op. The self check area is sweet when I need to just run in and get a couple things.

Open late hours. Easy to navigate. They don't take credit card or Apple Pay. Luckily my friend had a debit card.

Nice selection, good prices. Not so fond of having to bag yourself, but the prices make it worth the effort, lol

Good prices, but you spend at least 20 more minutes waiting in lane to pay! They have 16 lanes, only 2 or 3 working. ‍

They have a great bulk section as well. I always check out the meat department but I don't usually purchase because the prices appear to be higher than anywhere else except the Neiman-Marcus of Southern Oregon, Ashland Food Co-Op. I don't typically purchase meat there either because the prices are even higher unless something is on sale and it's something I need. I love the charming acquaintance of MFC, payed lime green and purple and nestled back in tall beautiful trees and greenery. The feeling when I pull into that parking lot is incredibly soothing -- and it's right on Riverside Drive. Go figure? Everyone who works at MFC is kind, warm, and welcoming. They're also really helpful if I have a question or I need something that they might not sell regularly or I just can't find it in the store. I never have a long wait at checkout because they understand service and a cashier comes up to the front immediately when there is anyone waiting to check out. Very, very impressive! Another thing that I really appreciate is that the store is always spotless and organized as well as 100% organic. I don't have to worry about buying something, driving home, and discovering that I purchased conventional food which I do not eat. MFC generally has the things that I want to purchase and it's very easy for me to efficiently pop in by what I need and get back on the road to finish my errands and go home. I probably shop here three times a week, maybe more because I love to buy things fresh. Please keep up the good work, folks. My husband and I really appreciate you!!!

Wasn't special but it's still great to be able to get an organic meal and that there was an option without gluten. In a time of both "shrinkflation" and inflation, Trader Joe's does a great job of providing top notch products with competitive prices. I buy a lot of things here, including pasture-raised eggs, half-and-half, whipping cream, organic butter, large 72% dark Belgian chocolate bars that I use in cooking, potatoes, organic produce of various kinds, ground, turkey, ground lamb, turkey at Thanksgiving, prime rib at Christmas, artisan cheese, Australian, red shrimp, the best beef bone broth, as well as chicken and turkey bone broth that I have ever purchased, and many seasonal items. I thoroughly enjoy how sweet, happy -- and knowledgable -- all of the employees are. It is such a pleasure to go there. It's sort of like attending a party with friends while grocery shopping!!! I would give our Trader Joe's 1000 stars if I could. Thank you for all that you do for Southern Oregon.

I visited this location as someone who doesn't live in the area and was shocked to see that the prices are way higher than regular Costco and are equal to or sometimes even a dollar or two more than just buying the exact product at Walmart or Fred Meyer. For the price of 1 loaf of Franz gluten-free bread, $7.79 for less than a dollar more I could go to Costco and get 2 loaves of Canyon Bakehouse gluten-free bread. 14 oz Tajin is $7.99. I can buy the exact same size from Walmart for $6.98. Here, 19 oz Mae Ploy canned coconut cream is $3.49 a can. Walmart online sells it individually and as a 6 pack for $2.58 per can. $3.59 for American Beauty 8 oz manicotti shells here. It's $3.49 at Fred Meyer in Medford. 16 ounces of jumbo Campfire marshmallows here are $3.39 whereas 16 oz Kraft Jet Puffed marshmallows are $2.99 at Fred Meyer in Medford. $8.69 for 24 Flav-R-Pac frozen corn cobettes or $2 for 6 Great Value frozen corn cobettes at Walmart. $14.19 for 2.125 lbs dried hash brown shreds here. Same size at Costco is $8.99. Costco sells in-store and ships #10 sized canned products so I'm confused why people are shopping here when the prices aren't wholesale, they're often slightly higher than retail at the local Fred Meyer and Walmart. There aren't many specialty products here for varied diets or cuisines, so if you're needing gluten-free or something more diverse than soy sauce or tortillas, you're going to need to order from elsewhere. I ended up buying a box of True Lemon (they didn't have the True Lime I came for.) Visited October 2024.

I do want to acknowledge the Meat and Deli employees, who were genuinely helpful and kind. They're the only reason this store earns two stars instead of one. My first interaction was with someone I assume was a manager. It took repeating "excuse me, sir" three times to get his attention, and I was treated as an inconvenience while he continued organizing shelves. From a management perspective, the interaction lacked professionalism and basic leadership. He ended up redirecting me to another employee to help me. I prefer self-checkout because I'm rated on bagging through Instacart, and I take that seriously unfortunately (maybe slight OCD some would say). As I entered self-checkout, the employee made a condescending remark about the size of my order, called over another worker, and then that "manager" joined them. All three stood together, leaning and staring in my direction as I checked out. You needed three? I told them all to have a wonderful night as I left, only one waved back. For example, Freddy's is one of the rare places in town that consistently sells super high-quality Baby Gem lettuce AND for a very competitive price. Because the grocery store is primarily conventional, I shop here very carefully. My husband and I only eat organic food and I don't want to mistakenly purchase something I think is organic and drive home with it only to find out that it is conventional. I don't shop in any other part of this really huge store but I do value the grocery section. They have an excellent selection of artisan cheese, olives, and lots of other things that are pretty hard to get up here in Southern Oregon. I find that the people who work here are consistently very warm and friendly, which I very much appreciate. It makes doing my errands is a great deal more pleasurable. And, I also really appreciate that I get points for what I purchase in the grocery section which we apply to purchasing gas at Freddy's. My husband says that Costco and Fred Meyers have the most competitive prices for gas consistently so that's where we buy our gas Thank you very much for all that you do. Please keep doing it!!!
