Great produce, prices, and overall product selection throughout the store. The biggest challenge is waiting in line for 20+ minutes to checkout if you have more than 10 items you can't use self checkout. The self check lady yesterday was very rude and unprofessional as she counted peoples items and kicked them out of line for having more than 10. Only 3 registers open with 7-8 people in each line. When asked if they could get more checkers the customer service person just told me it is what it is. I would rate it lower but I actually like the store overall. I loathe going through checkout here though. read more

No Frills but very interesting grocery store. Many items are cheaper than anywhere else and they have an extensive bulk food area that must be seen! A one star is being kind in regards to the shopping experience we had. Never in my time being in Medford have I felt such disrespect from another human being. I understand the stress of working as a cashier, but to speak to a person who has been nothing but respectful to you DOES NOT sit right with me. Chris P, one of the cashiers at this store said, "If you want me to treat you like a dog I can" to a customer. It all stemmed from problems with card pay. At no point in that conversation was that an appropriate way to talk to someone. Work on your customer service as this is unprofessional and hostile to say the least. We will no longer spend hard earned money in a place where people are comfortable speaking to customers like that. Spend your money wisely as well. read more

I'm a sweeper operator and I work For Dustin Curbs Parking Lot Maintenance Inc and work at many properties throughout the valley and our job is to blow the parking lots with equipment blower and sweep the trash and debris and I do before and after photos of my work progress. As I try to do my task at WinCo there's a lot of homeless and trouble makers there and I just do my job only to be herrassed in front of the store only to have a Guy named Neal laugh and think it's funny and not address the problem and escort them off the premises but smoke a cigarette and watch the transients loiter the parking lot and entrance and I avoid all that as much as possible because I'm here to do a job and a job done right but not if people are going to be confrontational there specially a Winco employee who is a stubborn beligerent discrepectful individual who is a supposedly Freight Manager approached my work truck while I was sweeping the parking lot only to have him purposely walk in front of my path as I'm only going 10mph and have my blinking light to show I'm working but didn't care and cuss me out by the passenger window and stated do you know who I am? I replied no but there's a lot of folks who start trouble with us only to continue get verbally disrespectful towards me and acted above me and when I parked the truck to let him know I'm just he to do a job and nothing more, and he walks up and gets in my face yelling at me with closed fist and I said don't do anything crazy and he said you haven't seeing crazy and I replied I will call the authorities if you do anything irrational and he says well I got my security to back me up and still being verbally disrespectful and his friend Neal which works security who doesn't do his job tells him he will handle it and tells him to him to go in the store, then the security guard Neal gets discrepectful towards me and that I'm just a nobody who sweeps parking lots for a living and the freight manager is a well educated and is in the right and I just said okay, I don't want any problems but here to do my job and Neal continues to be discrepectful towards me and I said okay. Then I let my employers know what's going on and and as I got Neal's name after I spoken to my employers he wouldn't tell me his friends name that is the freight manager there so I said okay thank you. I'm at that point I just want to quit this line of work if people like Neal who is security or the belligerent stubborn freight manager think it's okay to harass me and think there above everyone and act like there all that and a bag of chips while I try to do a job only to be discrepectful you might as well be the the thugs there because you both fit right in with that kind of attitude. read more

This is by far my favorite grocery store in the valley. I do the bulk of my shopping here, buying meat (some of the best prices I've seen so far in town), vegetables, bulk, and inner isles. I don't buy berries here because I can find better berries and grapes elsewhere, but their produce overall tends to be higher quality than other stores I've bought produce from. Winco has some of the best prices in town. Their staff is constantly working to restock and clean, making the store a pleasant place to be. There are always people stocking produce and keeping everything fresh, and the produce stockers are friendly and helpful. The cart guys are awesome and I appreciate that Winco gives them a cart pushing machine to make the work easier for their outdoor employees. Especially in the brutal summer heat. The cashiers are great and I've not ever had a problem with them. The few times I've needed to go to customer service for WU or other issues I have been treated professionally. I don't know what their bathrooms are like--I don't ever use them. The deli is the only part of the store where I've had problems. The oven that bakes the rotisserie chickens doesn't fully cook the chickens, which is a health hazard. An older gentleman who works in the deli always adds time to the preset cooking time to ensure that the chickens are cooked properly. But when some of the younger guys work the deli the rotisserie chickens are not properly cooked. I spoke with the older gentleman and he assured me that he had spoken to the young guys about it before. I also spoke with his manager to let her know that I've bought undercooked chickens there before. I haven't bought a rotisserie chicken since then so I don't know if the younger guys have started adjusting the cooking time. I haven't wanted to risk it since most of the time when I shop it's in the afternoons when the younger guys are on shift. I don't mind purchasing them if the older gentleman is on shift and has cooked them, though. His rotisserie chickens have been consistently cooked well. There are some essentials that I buy here besides food. They have an isle for toiletries that is useful. They have a good ice cream selection, especially with Tillamook. The Winco brand bottled water is the best tasting store brand bottled water I've tasted so far. I have a lot of good things to say about it, overall. One thing to note--which is hard for Winco to control--is that the area has a lot of homeless passing through their parking lot all of the time. Often the parking lot smells like weed, but I don't blame Winco for that. It's just the way it is in Medford, unfortunately. You can smell weed randomly throughout the city. I do hope another Winco comes into the area--maybe in Central Point or northern Medford. I also really like that I get to bag my own groceries. I'm a bit particular about how I like my groceries separated and like that I am responsible for doing my own bagging. read more

My review is for the customer service I received at the Medford Winco. I called the store to ask if they carried larger cans of clams. They were polite, professional and helpful. He put me on hold and returned with the sizes they carried. I asked to be transferred to fresh seafood Dept. After being transferred, they answered my call quickly. Winco is one of the cleanest grocery store chains I've ever shopped. I shopped for many years at the 82nd Ave location in Portland and now the past 14 years here in Medford. The store has competitive pricing and pretty much always has what I need. I'm glad winco is now including some organic produce - it needs to continue please! More organic choices will keep customers shopping in one location instead of having to go to the Co-op. The self check area is sweet when I need to just run in and get a couple things. read more

Good prices, but you spend at least 20 more minutes waiting in lane to pay! They have 16 lanes, only 2 or 3 working. ‍

Winco is the place to go for your bulk shopping. Their produce section is A-1. Since produce their is purchased like crazy their is always fresh produce coming out. Their bin section with candy, chocolate, seeds, dried fruit, spices, trail mix, etc. is awesome. Their prices can't be beat. Their deli section is good as well. Their fried chicken selection isn't as good as maybe an albertsons but their sliced deli meats can't be beat. Just like their produce section, their deli meats is sold like crazy and is constantly replaced with fresh cuts. Albertsons has 9$ a pound for fresh cut deli meat. Wincos prices are half that and fresh. Their customer service has always been good and have never met an employee that has that doesn't want to be their attitude. They've all been nice. Their pizza is also really good and only $2 a slice. read more

So this is how my conversation went today at lunch time at Winco. Looking for a salad option, case had 4 salads. Asked older male employee behind the counter in deli, " are you putting out more salad? Reply, take one that's there, my reply there are only four salads, reply "yeah", we will put them out eventually." Ok maybe it's me but this sure seems wrong. Just in case Winco corporate needs to know what good customer service is, here you go, "Customer service is the act of taking care of the customer's needs by providing and delivering professional, helpful, high quality service and assistance before, during, and after the customer's requirements are met." Nice no-nonsense grocery store with a very wide selection and typically lower prices than the other guys. It can get crowded at times, but since they're open 24/7, you can do what I like to do and come here late at night when it's very quiet, and then you only have to dodge the stocking crews' pallets of goods as they do their thing. And the stocking crews are friendly, unlike the angry cartpushers who will try to heelgrind you when you are moving too slowly. All in all, this is the place to go. Winco's pretty straight up. The other stores have nicer decor but you pay for it in higher prices. read more

I'm going to give a nice big shout out to the bakery and deli! Last week I called on two occasions to order food for my company. Both times I gave about 2 days notice and although the voices on the other end sounded a bit scared, they executed my orders perfectly. 200 bagels and 14 sandwich trays later and our employees were jumping with joy. It's tough to please 200 employees on our company food days, but Winco pulled it off. I plan on using them exclusively for future brunch and sandwich days. Note: The sandwiches are on crossaints and each tray has a variety of turkey, ham, and roast beef. Delicious! read more

Something in the atmosphere here, or the lighting - that makes me feel less good when I come here.... But, they have a good selection, prices are reasonable, and there's lots of bulk foods. Their homemade granola in the bakery department is tasty for some reason - it's pretty simple but if I get some I can't stop until I eat it all up.... What I don't like is that there doesn't seem to any way to phone these folks - there's no number for them in the phone book. Seems like an odd way to run a business. Adhering to the mask mandate, I was at the checkout line when my nose suffered a blood bomb. I had to retreat to the bathroom for well over 30 minutes as my groceries sat on the checkers runway. Holding my nose with one hand it was nearly impossible to bag my items, so I asked an employee who refused to help. A kind lady saw my dilemma and did it for me. Been not for her kindness, I would have had to walk out and an employee would be putting $90 of items back anyways. I obviously needed assistance and they didn't care. read more

I visited WinCo today. I usually go to Walmart, mainly because it is closer to my home. I have to go past Walmart to get to WinCo. Walmart changed the way you check out and the way you have to pay the bill. I have had several seniors ( about ten so far) tell me that they will not be going back to Walmart for groceries because of the change. Neither will I. Also, I pay by check and Walmart seems not to want a check. I also had a employee at WinCo stop and and talk to me for a minute. She was friendly and informative. THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED TO ME AT WALMART! ( I was looking at the fresh donuts in the case. (I'm a diabetic and can have treats once in a while.) She was friendly, informative, she smiled. That has not happened to me elsewhere. Therefore, that is why i will be getting my groceries at WinCo from now on. read more

Stay Away go to Food 4 Less. This store is horrible if you have a accident in the store. Fell in the store no help no assistance and was told if I go to the ER it would be my own money they would not pay for any medical bills. I left the store bleeding, went to ER had a Scan since I hit my head and x-rays for knees and elbow. They refuse to pay any of the bills and stated my fault for not seeing the box that had been left in the isle. When I tried to get my few bills paid they wanted to take a 81 year old to trial would not even go to mediation to discuss the bills. Rude and not caring at all. I am letting everyone know, doctors, friends and family to not shop at this store. read more

Normally I love going to this place for my groceries however while I was in the self checkout the attendant who I remember her name decided to come up to me and proceed to inform me that if I come into this lane again with more than 15 items to her mind that I will be removed from the store!!!! And every time my machine beeped at me and she had to come over she would roll her eyes at me and "fix" it. Good prices, but the trashy homeless gauntlet you have to make your way through at the front entrance has gotten out of hand. The homeless have become so comfortable now, they mouth off to you as you enter the store. Who's in charge here?
