I just moved here from San Jose California. The population was about 1 million. Here,from what I understand,it's a little over 50,000. I got to tell you, I love it! This is the first Trader Joe's I've ever been in that has decent parking. So many spaces! San Jose has none of that. The store is your typical Trader Joe's-well-stocked friendly employees. I wish I remember the name of my checker, he was super nice and told me lots about what goes on here. I will definitely be here shopping again and again! read more

Great store, but skimpy on the tomatoes in the Bruschetta. Loaded with olive oil and maybe 2 tomatoes. Ugh! Very heavy. Disappointed.

Hot damn! This store is like a battlefield during season! The start of the war is just trying to get a parking spot! This one is right next to Michaels (old bitches loves their craft stores) so parking is insane! And then the next part of the war is just trying to get groceries. The absolute worst is when people run into their old friends and decide to have a little pow-wow in the middle of the aisle and you can't get past them regardless of how many times you say excuse me. And trust me, you can say it loud enough so their hearing aids will hear it! But they'll ignore you. Since this store gets to busy, the shelves will get bare but the employees are super good at restocking! They always have delicious samples :) And the employees are super quick during check-out which is amazing. The employees really know how to handle their shit during season. Stocking shelves like non-stop, dealing with some of the rudest mf ever and getting the customers out of the store! read more

Great store! Really enjoy shopping here as there are always new items to explore and taste. Do not skip the samples! Many new items were introduced to me through the samples that made meal time healthier and easier! Checkers are always friendly, they hire the nicest people. Love their produce, top notch and wine selection. Also have great prices on nuts and health bars. Vegan items also. Can't say enough about Trader Joe's! Check it out! read more

I shop at many Trader Joe's. In terms of employee and management attitude, Palm Desert Trader Joe's is absolute worst. Like dogs, they seem to take on the haughty snarkiness of their well-heeled customers. Lady who is in charge of samples, by the coffee urn, waits until you ask for a sample, and then grudgingly delivers. Even loudly jokes about customers to fellow employee. "They love us here," she told me yesterday. Yeah, keep telling yourself that. Another employee shouted, "You talkin' to me?" when I meekly asked why the Sumatra coffee was no longer available. Conversation went downhill from there. read more

We love it here. Their prepared meals and chopped vegetables make preparing weekly meals much easier. I deducted 1 star because your produce are never ripe! I want to eat them now, not next week. Come on now. read more

I love all Trader Joe's!! This place is somewhat hidden when I lived near by that it kinda refreshing. All Trader Joe's are lovable!

No crowds as compared to our SFV TJs. This one had pretty full shelves and prepacked salads, sushi, sandwiches, etc. right near the door, which is a little different from most. A lot of Crew Members keeping the aisles faced and ready to answer your questions, should you have any. read more

I have shopped at Trader Joes for years and I love it. The customer service at the Palm Desert store is severely lacking. No one asks if you need anything. They act like you are in their way. My last visit there, I encountered the most rude and unprofessional checker ever. His name was Dan. Not only did he look unprofessional; covered in tattoos with drooping earlobes, but his attitude was worse. I would have overlooked the "Just out of prison" look if he was friendly and accommodating. As a loyal Trader Joes customer and someone who has been in customer service and managed customer service teams for over 10 years, this individual is not someone who should be representing Trader Joes or any company for that matter. After having a long day, I like to shop at Traders. It is something I look forward to. I do not look forward to being treated terribly in a condescending manner by a young punk covered in tattoos who could care less about the patrons and just wants his shift to be over. He should not be involved with people whatsoever. He should be put in the back or eliminated completely especially in this job market. I am sure that there is someone who is kind and people oriented who would gladly take his place. Because of the this incident and the poor customer service at the Palm Desert location, I will no longer shop at this store! read more

Everyone likes TJ's. Been going there for years - many locations. This one has a pretty good wine selection. Just about everything any TJ's carries. Checkers friendly and efficient- all TJ's have good vibes. Customers could display some manners once in a while - but kudos to the staff for keeping a lid on it all. Smaller than the TJ's I'm used to in Bellingham and I had trouble finding some of my favourite items. Unlike many of the negative experiences posted on Yelp, I found the staff friendly and helpful, the store was not overcrowded, and there was plenty of parking. We were there midweek around lunch time and only a few days after the BNP Paribas Open. Timing is everything so plan accordingly. read more

I love our Local Trader Joe's. Staff is always friendly and helpful and they always make us feel welcome. Very unique feeling when you walk into the store. Love trying new things TJ's offers. Can't remember ever trying anything that I did not like. Great management team, they definitely work as a cohesive team. Customer service is not easy but they seem to roll with the punches and come out with a smile when you enter the store. Well done! read more

Super cool store. Inexpensive for quality, organic products which is awesome. Usually have free samples of some of their products and always have free coffee. Staff is usually helpful and friendly. Only drawback is they pretty much just sell they're own name brand products. A great store though! I wish they offered public stock! read more

This store is one of my favorites. The lines are always fast, even when there is a crowd! The employees are very friendly, and are always willing to answer a question. Their wine selection is pretty good! Alcohol prices are quite a bit more expensive than other places, but you can't beat the "$2 Buck Chuck!" Sangria anybody?! :] read more

I probably wont come here again. I have shopped TJ's in various cities in SoCal over the years and this one is always shabby. The employees are the exception - they are always nice. But this particular location seems to have issues with a few things. It is certainly not their fault that they are so busy - but letting customers walk around in what is already a mob like environment with dogs (today one woman in particular wandering around with two medium sized, clearly not service dogs on leashes) is an added irritation. Even though the produce seemed well stocked, I struggled to find really fresh lettuce or spinach. Everything seemed to be within days of spoilage. The organic chicken was, well, there was only one. I will most likely shop the Cat City location going forward. read more

I started shopping at the original TJ's in Pasadena 30+ years ago. They are still my favorite food shop. Great prices, interesting cultural options: thai, indian, asian, middle eastern - its all there. Fast & fresh lunch & dinner grab & go. Just the best. Biggest and best little store in the world.

I'm there every Friday after breakfast with my hiking friends. Each week I discover something else I need to stock in my pantry. My latest find is the Greek Style Plain Yogurt. It is so creamy. Check out is efficient and clerks are polite. read more

It's not everyday that people do good things. I just want to say thank you to this Trader Joes for the random acts of kindness today. I was at check out with my 14 mo. old son Jonah. The checker was so engaged and thoughtful about his placement so he could see me, he asked lots of questions and was genuinely interested in him. After that, when I had trouble with my check card and had to call my bank, the manager and checker entertained my son while they waited for me. Absolutely the best customer service I have received from a grocery store! I love trader Joe's... The staff are always friendly and very attentive. It's close to home and very convenient. My son doesn't like the way it smells but he loves looking for the monkey for a free lollipop. Nice workers too. Plus..they sell my favorite kettle popcorn and pickle popcorn. read more
