Well sorted Trader Joe's located in the Cherry Orchard shopping strip on the corner of El Camino and S Mathilda. The store itself has wide aisles and enough space to move along and get your TJ groceries. They seem to keep everything pretty organized - starting with cart collection, shelves, aisles at the checkout. I like the friendly employees here and the fact that you won't feel cramped in this big store. Parking can be tough at peak times. read more

Echoing the thoughts of other Yelpers who come to this TJ's. I miss the old location despite this being a larger TJ's. At least at the other location, I didn't have to fight to park since there was always a massive amount of spaces. Here, I'm fighting the Pasta Pomodoro/PF Changs/Starbucks/Chipotle crowd. I think they still have the same amount of products and variety on the floor with the exception that the rows are spaced farther apart, a larger area for people to line up at the cashiers area, and a bigger demo section in the back. That's great and I can appreciate it but I now have to come here during the non peak times so I don't suffer another aggravating fit of road rage in the parking lot. I still heart TJ's but this location maybe a little less than others. read more

This is one of my favorite Trader Joe's. Parking can be a challenge if you go during the lunch and dinner hours. I usually stay away from the parking aisles closest to the store, too much people and car traffic. Other than that, the store is larger than some of the other stores nearby and the selection is very good. Well organized store and usually don't have trouble finding my favorite items. Great place if you are usually very busy and really don't have much time or the energy to prepare meals. Lots of heat or bake and serve foods here! Lots of vegetarian options as well. I would give it 5 stars if it weren't for the parking and traffic on weekends. read more

They just moved to this location ten days ago. It's a larger store with the same great selection and attentive friendly staff. I'm sure they will soon add more products to the larger store. Yes! Someone said early morning is your best chance to get parking. Lunch time or dinner can be bad.. Once you get in it not too crowded this was before dinner hour. Trading Hours: Mon - Sun: 8am - 9pm I think it is the city of Sunnyvale has poor planning for this mall, it's been bad from day 1. Someone needs to cut a deal with the apt complex near by. I like Trader Joes a lot but the parking here is hard sometimes. You have to circle around and everyone is doing the same and causing traffic. Like most trader joes, they have the same items. The only complaint I have is that their pastries are very STALE. I got some scones and the next day they had mold on it. DO NOT get the pastries here and if you do buy at your own risk. I usually get their pot sticker, yogurt dip and frozen pizza. Their soy milk is not as good as the ones at safeway so I usually buy it here since I don't want to make two trips. My dog likes their peanut butter dog cookies. other than that, I enjoy coming here as infrequent as possible due to their parking lot. read more

This new TJ's is a lot nicer than the previous one behind Big 5. Cleaner and more spacious. The only negative thing about this place has to be the parking situation. My advice is to pull a Regan from the Exorcist and constantly swirl your head around in a circle because you never know when someone's going to randomly back out and not bother to check with the rear view mirror. read more

Well-stocked, friendly employees, and quick check-out lines are keys to a good Trader Joes. Check on the first two, and while the check-out lines can be a bit lengthy during peak hours here, they keep them moving pretty well. It's a smaller store for a TJ's (compared to others in the area), but they somehow manage to fit everything in there in a manner that doesn't cause shopper collisions. Score. Yes, it's in a busy shopping center with PF Changs and Chipotle, so there is a lot of traffic post-work. But even at 6pm, I've had no problems finding parking spots if you are willing to walk more than a few rows from the store (gasp! the horror! the horror!). read more

I love Trader Joe's, but this location has some SERIOUS quality control issues. I just bit into a (not expired) Persian Cucumber that was gushy and BROWN on the inside (ugh!!!). The last time I went in for a party cheese tray (also nowhere near their stated expiration date) but almost all of them had a TON of black mold growing on them (how do you not notice that when shelving!?!?). These are not the only two incidents I've had at this location. It seems like they're not storing their food properly which is kind of terrifying. There's a Sprouts across the street and a million Safeways nearby, I'll shop there thanks. read more

I absolutely love Trader Joe's. The quality is great and the price is affordable. They have organic options for a great price and they always have new products to try. They also sample their food which is a great opportunity to try something new. They usually make something out of a couple of ingredients, giving you a yummy new recipe to try. Love trader joes and their products, I'm a regular weekly shopper! However the parking can be really crowded, with chipotle, Starbucks, and Pf changs, in the same plaza. Most of the time you can find parking unless it Sunday afternoons, or weekday evenings. They used to carry these dried coconut strips for 1.99, it was for a short period of time, but I never see them anymore. Bummer read more

One of my favorite Trader Joe's so far. I went there by coincidence as I needed to get some milk and chocolates (we can live out of those only, no?) after a dinner with ex colleagues at PF Chang across this store, located in the same mall. Actually one of my friends suggested to get some groceries there and I was in a hurry to go home but then discovered the paradise of Trader Joe's: super big, spacious, clean, perfect lights everywhere (that is important to make the tomatoes look even healthier) and tons and tons of seasonal chocolate boxes packed in attractive ways (very to the Trader's style!). Also, it was a pleasure to hear conversations in languages other than English, Hindi or Chinese:). If you miss variety in food and in demographics, then go to Trader's Joe and who knows if you even make that new friend to whom practice your rusty French! read more

First off, RIP Borders. It was really hard to imagine a replacement worthy enough for this space. I was actually gunning for Draeger's who does awesome things with bi-level spaces, but it's hard to be mad at Trader Joe's (...although I do feel kinda bad for CJ Olsen's little market across the parking lot...). The old Trader Joe's space off Sunnyvale-Saratoga was dingy and tight, so this is an upgrade they've taken advantage of: items aren't piled on top of each other in the freezer aisle, I'm not stuck in cart traffic inching through the aisles anymore, and cheese has its own section now, hooray! But, with all the space and steady flow of customers, there's no reason why they shouldn't keep working on expanding their selection. How about some more flowers and plants, for one? And who wouldn't like a more expansive wine selection? In this grand dame, headliner location, this Trader Joe's should act like the flagship! The parking lot is a notorious moan-fest. Back in the day, the circling drove me nuts. So now, I opt for walking during weeknight rush hour. And on the weekends, the turnover for parking spaces has been fairly decent. Still, it would be nice if there were a few dedicated spaces for 10 min, "I just need to get this one thing!" But apparently there is a "complimentary valet" during peak times now. Haven't tried it, but even if it involves tipping, sounds like a good option for harried parents and stressed-out errand-runners with no patience for parking karma. read more

I love this location of Trader Joe's! It's relatively new so everything is sparkly and running very smoothly. They are well stocked and everybody is super friendly. Most importantly, each visit is very quick and efficient, and I never have to spend more than 1-2 minutes waiting in line (and even that is rare). Recently, I've been frequently TJoe's more and more especially due to their holiday limited edition items (can you say pumpkin spice and spiced apple?). Also, I have been trying to eat healthier, cook at home more, while balancing my schedule, and their convenient chopped and washed veggies, galore of fresh ingredients/nuts/cheese, makes whipping a salad up ridiculously fast, tasty, and fresh :) Last I saw, they had pre-brined turkeys for thanksgiving! read more

Surprisingly good! I've been to a few trader joes but this one is my favorite. They had more samples here than I had seen anywhere, as well as a larger selection of beer. They do card here, so underage need not attempt, but the variety of local and imported beer was surprisingly high. I grabbed a 12 back for 11 bucks, so I was happy. Other than that, it's your run of the mill TJ's which mean there are really good prices on some stuff and really high prices on others. Just make sure to grab the new cookie butter ice cream or three. :) read more

I love me some Trader Joe's. I have been a fan in general forever. This particular store makes me happy. It is close by, big and has a better selection than some of the smaller TJ stores. I was glad to see that when they relocated it became a better overall experience. The turnover on parking in the lot that the store shares with other businesses is fast. It may seem overwhelming to drive in and see a full lot, but in a matter of minutes mixed with a little patience, a spot almost always opens up. I only have one gripe about TJs It seems that whenever they have something that I fall madly in love with, it doesn't sell well and they don't continue to carry it. Perhaps that says more about me, but I wish some items would magically return. :) read more

I love coming here right after works before going home. I come here to buy box dinner for the family, snacks for myself, and soy milk for the office. The pineapple salsas and the hummus quarters are amazing. I get a little sad when I can't find the chicken less chicken morsels here sometime. Are those seasonal items? Or am I blind as a bat and I can't find them I the people working at the check stand. Always friendly, and always bag my groceries when I bring my own bags. Wow! I wish you were in San Jose! This store is spacious, clean, and has a variety of additional products than I usually don't see, like more flavors for cereals, pop tarts, pre cooked meals, etc. (I shop at the downtown San Jose Trader Joes on the regular). I went shopping at 10:30am on a Sunday (a major no no dwn twn SJ) and it was not a crazy/busy experience. Not crowded, check line moved quickly. I will be back! read more

Obviously I love Trader Joe's. I would knock stars for their enthusiastic packaging but I don't know that anyone would read that and care. Overall they have some great quality products (aside from the produce) for some great prices. I go to TJ's for very specific items and that is it. Definitely my new go- to Trader Joes location! I've been to the one in Los Altos and Cupertino and this is my favorite- feels more spacious and everything I need is always in stock. And as always, the staff is always super friendly and helpful ! A rather dishy man took my cart by accident when I was looking at the Pumpkin themed end cap goodies. He returned my cart and apologized and said my two boxes of coffee filters reminded him to get some, too. I laughed and said get two boxes so you won't run out. He replied good idea and off he went to look for his cart. I love this Trader Joe's, not only is it a wonderful shopping experience, but the prices are splendid and the quality is impeccable. I especially enjoyed shopping this evening at this location. When searching for the right balsamic vinegar, the associate, Lauren, was very knowledgeable and offered excellent cooking suggestions. He was very knowledgeable about the balsamic vinegars that the store carried and despite the 5 minutes to closure, he was friendly and approachable. He and every associate at the store is just incredible! I love this Trader Joe's and I do all of my dairy, wine and fresh meat shopping here. read more

I like my TJ's and Sprouts being so close to each other-- so I can hit two birds with one drive! I have always been a huge fan of TJ's. It makes me feel like a kid in a candy store. I love ALMOST everything about TJ's, except--with this particular location--the following: -Parking can be tricky, as it shares with several businesses (Starbucks, Chipotle's, P.F. Chang, and a Game Stop) in the same small plaza and the turning radius is quite small. It is not wise to attempt parking in the plaza during lunch hour. Additional retail parking is available in the Cherry Orchard residential community next-door. -It can be difficult to locate items in this store. I cannot find sugar in the aisle I normally expect it to be. And I still cannot find almond flour, which I know TJ's carries... The store is well-sorted, but the items in the same category seem to be all over the place. -Some people shop here like they were in Costco, with carts filled to the very brim and a mile-long grocery list. I don't mind unless I have to wait behind them to pay for my $2 drink. This store gets really crowded around lunchtime and after 5 PM. read more

I shop here two or three times a week on my way to work. TJ's has ton's of prepared foods which is handy if you forget your lunch, or don't want to go out for lunch. Indeed, their kale and broccoli slaw salad with chicken meat is excellent! The staff is friendly. So why 3 stars and not 5? There is no express line. I asked a cashier about it and was told that management did away it as customers weren't self policing and staff didn't want to say "It looks like you have more than ten items, please use the non-express" lanes. So, I frequently find myself standing in line behind someone who has done a big shop. Often times the lines will start backing up, and if management notices, a manager sometimes comes over and opens another line. This is the only TJ's I know that doesn't have an express line. This trader joes is my go to do most of my grocery shopping for the week. They have items most available and in the many varieties compared to other trader joes. It's also a lot bigger than the others I've been to, which is a plus because you're not weaving your cart around other people's carts. The only downfall to this spot is the parking, because it's in a shopping center with Starbucks, chipotle, etc restaurants. I'd recommend not coming during peak lunch/dinner hours because it's very difficult to find parking. I LOVE trader joes pre made salads and wraps when I'm on the go, and they definitely have the widest variety available. Other trader joes tend to run out of their inventory quickly, but workers here are always refilling whatever product is empty on the shelf. They have quite a variety of other foods you need too, so you're never limited. I love the workers here, because they make sure that you're happy and satisfied before leaving. So other than the parking issues, there is absolutely no reason to not come to this trader joes! read more

I love this store, but then again I love all Trader Joe's stores. They exceed my expectations every time, always trying to help the customer. Once my package of spaghetti was lost on the belt, and even though I didn't pay for it, the clerk ran out to catch me in the parking lot and gave it to me free of charge. Their dried fruit, nuts and seeds are competitively priced, and keep my family on the go during the day. Always a very clean store, with lots of fresh produce, and bakery goods. Great for kids too, since they have little kid shopping carts, for kids to help out and stay focused. As long as they don't run over anyone in the process, and that includes my youngest son. Try to shop early in the morning to get a good space. Their milk stays fresh for over three weeks in my frig, and all of their cheeses too. Try their pumpkin cheesecake before it goes out of season. read more

I wasn't surprised to see that, compared to other Trader Joe's, this one has a poorer rating. That is exactly how I find it. Three of the items I went there specifically to purchase were out of stock. This is the second time in a row for one of the items. When I asked about the items, I was told one won't be delivered until later this week and one they haven't bothered to reorder. I wonder if the manager needs help learning how to do inventory in order to maintain stock? It was really disappointing and I find that they are not worth my time. Zanotto's maybe a bit more expensive for some items, but they have what I need in the store, and I am not wasting gas and my time having to go somewhere else later. Ugh. read more
