Big clean store, would have been 5 star if I could get some kimbap, limit should be 2 not 5!

I'm obsessed with Trader Joe's. I love the products, prices, employees! So so friendly and so so delicious! My favorites include the frozen lava cakes & cookie ice cream sandwiches, breakfast items, chicken sausages, and the new vegan taco salad is so good! Also soy chorizo (I'm not even vegetarian it's just really good). Cheeses and dips are amazing. My one complaint is at some point in COVID they just stopped caring about how crowded it was. I'd rather wait in line than be in a crowded store! And it gets way too crowded. read more

Was in Tustin and decided to stop by and get some groceries. First time here and this place is a lot bigger than the one I usually go to in Brea. Nice and clean, wide aisles, friendly workers, and everything is in stock. Can't go wrong with Trader Joe's. read more

Covid-19 era Shopping I went just this morning at 1030 and there was no line! We only went to get a few items and was glad to see this place pretty empty. Luckily our pantry and refrigerator was pretty well stocked but we just wanted to get some extra items since this outbreak might last for a while. Right as we entered the store, there was an employee holding a bottle of hand sanitizer and informed us that their limit on eggs and milk was 1 pack/family and the other items were about 2 pack limit. We got eggs, milk, pasta sauce, tortilla chips, bread, beer, and some other items. I didn't pay attention to toilet paper or water since I didn't understand the need to hoard those. The pantry goods of course was mostly cleared out. There were 4 bottles of trader joe's pasta sauce, some pasta, most soups were gone. Alcohol aisle the beers where all pretty much stocked, wine and whiskey where all present. The only ones all cleared out was ALL vodka's, even the expensive ones. When we checked out the line went quickly with about 5 stations open and only 2 customers in line for each. Stay healthy everybody! read more

Ran into this Trader Joe's to grab some things for a cheese platter. Had ten min to grab my items but had never been to this location and also hadn't thought out what I wanted in any detail. Happened to run into the lovely Cassandra and asked her where the crackers were located and mentioned my project. I have never seen such excitement from a TJ employee! She asked if I wanted help and proceeded to grab things and recommend items all while ensuring it was something I would like. She suggested combinations and made sure I had enough but not too much. Love this location and will def stop by again when I'm in the area. read more

BEST PLACE FOR FLOWERS!!!! they always have a large assortment of flowers from already made bouquets to different types of flowers you could buy to make one! -large bouquets (about $10) - only downfall is they are usually super bright colorful flowers and for some reason the price is printed on the clear cover so make sure to cut that off -petite bouquets ($3.99) - secret gems! small but the better of the flower arrangements. I recently bought 2 bouquets and unraveled them and put them together and repackaged it in the same wrapping material. looks gorgeous!!! comes with beautiful brown paper and when you take the paper apart you can easily put it back together! plus, the friendliest staff ever!!!! read more

This TJ is amazing! In the last 6 years I have been coming to this location, every single visit is enjoyable and pleasant. Nice layout, very clean great employees, everything is always in stock. Today, Darren completely blew my mind! I think he is the store manager. I asked him what dip goes with Pumpkin tortillas chip, and he walked 1000 extra miles! I normally don't have a problem with this place, and I find myself finding things efficiently and enjoying the food they have there. The employees and the service are always welcoming and helpful to me and the customers. This wasn't the case for my experience the other day. I wanted to use my EBT card for my groceries, and I knew that it wouldn't cover all of my items, so I was ready to use my other card to pay for the remaining. I usually do this every time I come to this place, but for some reason this lady at the cash register wouldn't let me do that. I swiped my card, put my pin in and she said that my EBT card can't be used for the rest of my items, which I already knew. I thought that was her way of telling me to pay the remaining, but apparently, she cancelled my EBT card, causing me to pay my groceries in full. The food was great, but I wish she didn't lie and trick me like that. read more

Few things make me as cranky as being attacked unfairly. I woke up early this morning to line up before opening to try and get the insulated trader joe's bag. I didn't get it, that's fine. They made an announcement that more would drop at 5/after 5. They're claiming after 5, but they only told the front of the line so the details are fuzzy for the rest of us. I come back at 4, ready for another wait, inquire about the logisitics. Manager gets snarky and cranky immediately. Tells me, rudely, that it's after 5, not at 5. Says he has to make it fair so real customers get the bag. The bags are for their "real customers". He keeps parroting "real customers" at me REPEATEDLY. He was clearly insinuating that I was a re-seller and not one of their "real customers". I'm nearly middle aged. I have two kids. I have been to your stupid store 3 times in 24 hours between the groceries I need yesterday, the bag I tried to buy this morning plus the additional groceries I did buy, and now I'm back again. That happens to make me a REAL CUSTOMER. And if he didn't mean to come off that way, he failed. read more

This is one of the better Trader Joe's in Orange County when you look at the large footprint inside and the ample parking. A lot of Trader Joe's are stuck in dumpster level shopping centers with poor parking and they are crowded stores. You can barely move around in some if them. This is a well stocked store and has plenty of healthy options at great prices. I always like how many unique items they have that you just can't find anywhere else. read more

This store is completely inconsiderate to the surrounding neighbors. After repeated attempts to ask them to be more courteous to neighbors and reduce the noise early in the morning, they continue to be noisy and disruptive to the neighbors. Ever since bring this to their attention it has only gotten worse and now it seems punitive and retaliatory for reporting the store to corporate. At 7:00 am or even earlier some days we have to listen to the employees drag a pallet jack through the back parking lot a good 20-30 minutes not stop every single day. When asked to be more courteous because it was starting before 7:00, the store manager became combative and argumentative and said the noise ordinance didn't apply to them. read more

I love this place so much and the chilli lime chips are so good look for a green and red bag and try them once you get them you are addicted. Staff is so great here everyone is so nice and helpful. Today was just another disappointing day at the Tustin Trader Joe's. The $14 Heirloom Chicken I brought home today smelled like a dead body that had been rotting in the sun for 2 days. It was enough to make me almost vomit in my kitchen. I'm not putting this disgusting smelling chicken in my car to drive back to the store and return, I'll eat the $14 but I sure as hell won't be buying another one here any time soon. Now I'm questing the other chicken I purchased as well - not a good feeling. Every single yellow onion I picked up this afternoon was not only really small but rotten, squishy spots, mold growing, chunks taken out - this shouldn't be happening. To be honest a lot of their produce looks a bit suspect, I could always count on the quality here but I guess they aren't as diligent about that any more. I don't know what their deal is but it's ok to not cram 10lbs of groceries into 1 bag. I was assuming it was because I was purchasing paper bags but the last few times I've taken my own. If I bring 3 bags don't shove everything into 1 or 2, not only is it extremely heavy, items are being crushed. Also I didn't appreciate todays employee being out out by having to bag my groceries. Slamming them down in the counter and piling items on top of each other's isn't cool. Sorry if you are having a bad day but put your big girl pants in and deal with it, don't take it out on me if my food items. And please for the love of god go back to packing them properly don't put all the heavy items in 1 bag and for stop putting raw chicken on top of other items - that's just common sense. I Today I got home and found that chicken (that I also had bagged - not the one that had spoiled) had leaked all over everything that was under it. I think I'll be skipping Trader Joe's for awhile, after that disgusting Heirloom Chicken and piss poor customer service I'll gladly pay double somewhere else. read more

This is the biggest Trader Joe's with the best parking situation ever. Is this an experiment? Red headed step child? Aisles are wide too; no traffic jam or squeezing by with an inch of clearance. I didn't look too closely, but it seems to be a fairly standard offering of TJ products; that is, there doesnt seem to be that many extra products put into this space. You'll notice next door there is a massive Smart and Final next door. I recommend planning out your grocery trip because some products at Trader Joes are better price and quality, and some are better at Smart and Final. Certainly there are TJ loyalists and that's just fine too. read more

She was to busy chopping apples and didn't even look up at me. I walked around and found an older gentleman who took me right to my item. You have to love TJ's. OK, you don't have to, but you should. Csts for groceries are about the same as the major markets, but the stores are compact and they have all sorts of great prepared foods. Salads, sandwiches, frozen entrees, vacuum packed quick entrees... They always have something to try in the back, and they are continually getting new merchandise. Unfortunately, that also means that some stuff goes away, sometimes forever... But still, they have the best OJ, the non-pasteurized one, it is as close to fresh squeezed as you can get. They have great grapefruit juice, perfect for greyhounds, and the fresh squeezed Limeade is a new favorite. Tart with a real kick of lime. read more

This is a really great store! I started doing the shopping for our family as my wife is pregnant with our 3rd child and it's difficult for her to get out shopping. I hate grocery shopping, but this is one place that I can tolerate. The employees here are very helpful and know their product well. I love how simple the store is to navigate and find things...it's so much better than a major grocery store in my opinion. My one tip is not to go in the evenings as they are often running out of inventory. I can only come in the evenings due to work schedule, so they are often out of things that I'm looking for, so I have to either come back to swing by another store. All in all, Trader Joe's is a great brand and this is a good store. read more

This location is a bit smaller than the ones found in Irvine, but it's right down the street from me so no complaints! I'm really glad they've opened up a location near my grandparents' since often I am not able to get to the ones in Irvine. However, having said that, they don't seem to carry all the stuff I usually buy from the Irvine one (off Culver). The staff are excellent here though... very helpful when you're looking for something and will out of their way to help you. But then again, that's Trader Joe's for ya. The layout of this one is a bit weird so if you're used to shopping at another TJs then you'll have to spend a little time manoeuvering around to locate a specific item. I love, love , LOVE this Trader Joes! I love that it's near my house. I always get this happy feeling inside when I come here and I truly want to purchase everything I see. Always so many things to try. I once came here to buy some dessert, pastries, cookies for a family gathering and they had everything I needed and it tasted so yummy. I also love how affordable the produce is. The only downfall to this place is that it's so small and wished it was bigger but I also love how tiny it is so its a bit conflicting.
