The four of us each ordered something different, and each of us found the seafood dishes delicious. Well seasoned, fresh tasting, and perfectly grilled and fried. However. We did have trouble getting the attention of the disorganized wait staff, the dishes were brought to the table in odd succession, and we had to signal for attention, like getting the bill. Service tonight was absolutely terrible. My parent's appetizer salads and bread were brought well after the meal, when server Maria was asked about the salads, her only response was "can't you see I'm busy?" The only thing I can say is that the broccoli and mac n' cheese didn't really have any seasoning, but other than that the blackened salmon with lump of cream man and imperial sauce was chef's kiss. Came here with friends so ten of us and could not sit together, kinda stinks but it's whatever. Wife's hit turkey special came out way before the other meals and got cold because no silverware left at the table. My Chesapeake chicken was pretty awesome tho and the kids steaks were great. Well, I made a trip from the Gulf Coast to the Maryland shore, wondering what to do for dinner, I thought, "What is Maryland known for?" Crab cakes! So, I found a quaint and quiet restaurant that a descent amount of reviews. I figured I would try it out. The crab cakes didn't disappoint. I ordered them fried and they were lightly fried, very moist, and very good. Not soggy. Large portions. The service was great! We had pleasant conversations. Family feel to the establishment. I came here for brunch before hitting the road with my boyfriend, and there was no wait at the bar and high top tables so we did that. The bar is a bit too dark for having a meal, but not complaining since we choose to not wait for a table. The bartender gave me the southern grandma vibe, she knows couple customer's "the usual" orders and she knows her way around the bar. I ordered the Chesapeake benedict (2 benedicts with crab meat on each) with fries (more like sliced potato crisp), and it was pretty good. The ingredients werr fresh, the crab meat on top of the benedicts were VERY fresh and generous portioned. The potatoes were lack of a bit salt, but you can add that by yourself. We also ordered a cup of the creamy crab soup, and ong that was the best crab soup I've had. I live in Virginia Beach and there's nowhere that can top this. Crazy amount of super fresh crab meat, the soup itself was smooth and full of crab flavor, and unlike the old bay soup in VB, this ome didn't need much old bay and yet flavorful enough to make me regret not getting the bowl or even a pot if they offer that option. read more

7 of us went in on a Saturday morning and had a great time. It was the first time in a few years that all 7 sisters were together so it really meant a lot to us to sit together and be able to relax. The food was great and Serenity was a wonderful server. There was one hiccup with the food but the manager showed up right away to fix it and make it right. I ordered the Kings prime rib when it arrived to the table. I was not sure what it was at all. It looked almost as if it was fabricated together. I tasted the supposedly prime rib, and it was horrible. I notified the hostess of my disliking. She, intern notified the manager who came to our table and accused me of eating half of the meat and wanted to charge me that portion I told her I cut that meat twice and the second cut was still on the plate and I was not going to pay anything. for such a bad cut of meat, it was just unconscionable that I was accused of eating half of something that I disliked. The manager on duty naming Cynthia, which I hope is correct and I apologize if it's not was just so unprofessional with her attitude that I found it very disturbing. Soup, crabcake, and burger and onion rings were excellent. Lots of crab, good spices in soup, mounds of bacon and generous burger. coleslaw was a bit too sweet and should have been drained-very soupy. Service was good. We've driven by this place a bunch of times and never went. Well today stopped by here for the first time. We started with the calamari and crab soup. The crab soup was wonderful, could use a little old bay but great. The calamari was okay and a little chewy, certainly nothing to write home about. We also got the fried seafood platter, and that's really where things went south. The shrimp were overcooked, the oysters slightly undercooked. The flounder tasted old, and the clams were just rough. The service was slow to start but overall not bad. Bella made sure that drinks were timely, and the table was cleared throughout the meal. This restaurant is excellent! I thoroughly enjoyed the homemade shrimp salad sandwich on rye. The salad was seasoned just right and, best of all, it was fresh. The French fries were perfect. Been eating here over the years and when it's good it's fine but when it's not they don't stand behind the quality issues with their food. I purchased a $35 broiled seafood platter. The fish was REALLY fishy but I asked my mom to try it too. It was bad. Our waitress sent over the "manager". Whoa - she said she could make another piece but it's was the same 'batch'???.... So she said she would take it off the bill - she credited $5 for 1/4 of my $35 platter. I also witnessed another table buy a $50 steak that was raw in the center - no responsibility for the quality issue and stated because of the weekend they were not offering any credit towards the bill- guess he can go home and cook it if he is still hungry. It is Thursday so what the weekend has to do with undercooked food is beyond me. Patron beware - if your food is bad, suck it up because it's not their issue. read more

I visited this establishment on New Year's day. The size is a little deceptive as I thought it was larger from the outside. However, it was rather small and cramped inside. There's the host 's desk, the bar, the bathrooms, slot machines and the dining area all in view as soon as you enter the restaurant. The staff were very nice and attentive. The floor needed some attention. There was paper and some other things around one of the tables that no one seemed to notice but me. Several parties arrived after 11:00 am expecting breakfast but were very disappointed to learn that it ended at 11:00 am. I'll keep that in mind because the breakfast options appeared to be very appetizing. For lunch, we had scallops wrapped in bacon, a crabcake with onion rings, a reuben sandwich with tater tots, iced tea and coffee. All the food was very satisfying. The crabcake was all crabmeat and prepared to perfection. The only things I didn't care for were the mushy tomato and wilted lettuce that was served with it. The sauce with the crabcake was similar to tartar sauce and complemented it very well. The onion rings were perfect as well. Not over battered. I usually pull off most of the coating because it's usually too much but not here. The scallops were big and spongy but not rubbery. They were delicious with a barbecue sauce on the side. My dining partner had the reuben so I didn't taste it. She seemed to be pleased. From my observations, it looked tasty but perhaps lacking the volume of meat I'm used to seeing on the sandwich. The tater tots were plentiful and just "tater tots." My dining partner asked for iced tea and received a beverage that tasted like instant tea and was warm even though it was served in a large glass with ice??? Overall, our experience was very good. After reading my review, please look at the other reviews that refer to the same repetitive issue that has not been corrected. Walked in and was seated immediately, great. Sat at a booth for 10 minutes with no waitress. Other people came in, were seated, waitress came by, and their drinks delivered. There were 5 waitresses or hostesses standing around and did nothing. The head waitress went up to the family who just walked in to make sure they were being taken care of with drinks already on their table. She walked past me twice. I got up and discussed with her that no waitress was around to take my order. She stated, so sorry that is what I was checking on. Well, she saw drinks on everyone's table but mine and didn't ask if I had a waitress or drink order. As I was departing, she did apologize but made no attempt to remedy the situation. read more

Our goal was to find crab in the winter time (we were visiting for the week of Christmas) and Traders did not disappoint. We ordered three different crab dishes and while I wouldn't say any other were stellar they were delicious. The major issue for me was the sides and the garlic butter. The sides were lack luster for a crab boil and you just need something to break up all the crab. Also maybe this is just my family but we always have crab with garlic butter and it was like pulling teeth to get that at the table and when we did it just wasn't quite right. The service was great for a group of six we were seated quickly and I think we made the waiter fill drink orders a million times but she was patient the entire time.
