We were brought waters right away and started dinner off with the pork poutine fries. They were absolutely incredible! Some of the best fries I've ever had. I wanted to keep it light and ordered a lemon pepper chicken salad. I loved the apricot on there and the strawberry balsamic dressing was phenomenal as well! This place is conveniently located on the corner of the main drag and offers two floors for dining. With a fantastic choice of drinks to imbibe from, the Trailhead offers a good place for weary travelers to stop and quench their post-hiking thirst. Service is excellent, quick, and friendly. We were spending a few days in Moab and saw reviews and had to check it out. The building itself screams history but it is updated and comfortable inside. We were quickly seated upstairs and our server arrived promptly. I ordered a Reuben with fries and my husband got one of the burgers. The food was quickly delivered and portions are huge! The corned beef on the Reuben was delicious...obviously cooked on site, no shaved deli meat here! The pickles on it threw me off a bit but easily removed. It was all that was promised. Personally I like a little mustard with the 1000 island dressing but that's just me. My husband's burger was apparently good...he was not offering a taste of it! As I mentioned, everything was provided very quickly. It felt a bit rushed to turn the table but kudos to them for being efficient. We stopped in for lunch. My stepson has a number of severe allergies(peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, egg and sesame). They were great with accommodating all of his allergies. They even brought out a special menu that listed all of the ingredients in a number of the items such as the rolls. Usually he just gets a burger on a plate but he was able to get his burger on a roll here which sounds ridiculous but to someone dealing with the stress of living with severe allergies- it's a big deal! I spent a couple days in Moab to do some hiking and enjoying the beauty of this incredible place. After doing some research on Yelp I went to the Trailhead Public House and Eatery for dinner. The restaurant is located in a historic downtown building and the interior has an open feeling with wood beams and wood tables and comfortable chairs. It has a warm and almost homey feel to it. The staff was friendly and attentive even though the place was packed and very busy. My server, Marla, did a wonderful job and came by several times to make sure all was well. The menu has burgers, sandwiches and other pub staples. It also has a full bar. I tried the Grey Goose Blood Orange martini which was excellent. I ordered the Hot Trails & Bacon Burger which was on the spicy side with jalapeños and hot ghost pepper jack cheese along with a Wagyu beef burger. I normally order a burger well done because of the hamburger meat, but since this was in essence a steak turned into ground meat I ate it medium as recommended. I had the sweet potato waffle fries along with it. This is the best burger I have ever eaten. The meat was tender and delicious and all the spice added up to terrific meal. The restaurant has great atmosphere, a great staff and excellent food. The price of the meals won't give you big city sticker shock. I will definitely be coming back the next time I am in Moab. Do yourselves a huge favor and put this on you must do list when you are in Moab. read more

They have two levels, a nice little bar and some patio seating for those who may want to sit outside. Everyone working was friendly and service was attentive. We were a little early for dinner so it wasn't packed but definitely still plenty of patrons in the building. We started with the salted pretzels which came with cheese, mustard, and a chive cream cheese dip. The pretzels were decent but a little too buttery/greasy. The dips were fine. For my entree I tried the chicken tango sandwich with rancher's coleslaw. My partner got a plain burger and fries. Our sandwiches were okay, nothing special but they did the job. After reading about the award-winning attention this place has received, we had to try it out. Wondered if we'd be dressed too casually since we were in town to hike. But no, it's got a very casual vibe. The wait staff was excellent and the food was the best. My husband had the Reuben sandwich which he said was exceptional as the corned beef had been braised, the sauerkraut was fresh and there were pickles on it too. I had a burger on a delicious homemade bun. You get to choose your "side" and the side salad was more the size of an entree and I had the coleslaw which had corn in it and a little cumin which made it extraordinarily good. The portion was generous as well. This is one of those places you wish you could take with you to your town. Located on a corner in a historic bldg, you should know that there isn't much room to wait for a table inside, so be prepared to wait outside. My companion had the pulled pork sandwich, I enjoyed the fish and chips, and the toddler had a kids cheese burger. What an awesome experience!!! We travel to Moab from California to camp and hike the National Parks. We decided not to cook dinner so we let our fingers do the yelping!!! We arrived I believe around 7pm and there was a fairly big line waiting outside. However when we checked in the staff member said they could seat use right away. We ended up sitting at the bar where we met the head bar tender who was super cheerful and extremely helpful with our choices. I had the fish & chips which were super good. The batter was light and crisp as were the fries. The slaw was pretty good but I more of a Southern slaw person. Not sure why they had some bad reviews. We started off with the fried cheese curds and spicy margarita. We also ordered burgers, hot wings, and I had the rosemary mushroom grilled cheese (added chicken) and the jalapeño tomato soup. I tried The Eclipse Bison burger. 1/3 lb, Bison burger with cheddar cheese, lettuce, grilled tomato, fried egg & bacon on a brioche roll and French fries. I liked the fried egg. It made the burger taste better. My wife had the BBQ Bean burger. Vegan patty made in house with a duel blend of beans, onions, green chilis, red bell peppers, corn, bread crumbs, rice flour and SW spice blend. I drove out from Santa Fe to try this here $23 dollar Polygamy Burger I've been hearing about. Okay, so I was actually passing through from Santa Fe going to SLC, and when I said 'I've been hearing about' something that just means I read it on Yelp. Nonetheless I dropped my ducats on the bar and ordered me up one of those burgers. Now usually I would expect a $23 dollar burger to come with a free car wash or something, but since it was supposed to be Wagyu beef I thought I'ld give it a shot as that is some yummy moo! It was unquestionably a huge burger. You can add a third patty onto it for five more bucks if you want but how deranged are you? As it was, mine was suffering structural failure, or as NASA would say there was an unplanned rapid deconstruction successfully taking place. Not to mention even without a third patty I've been suffering from the meat sweats for the last four hours. That was just one huge burger. But here's the thing. If they had just said we have this friggin huge burger for you to try I would have been like sure, let's give it a shot. But what got me to try it was expecting a Wagyu burger, and I can assure you I've had Wagyu beef on more than one occasion, and frankly this wasn't it. It was better than your average burger, no doubt, but it wasn't 100% Wagyu. Just saying. Next time I'll save half my ducats and order a tuna sandwich instead. read more
