We arrived early right after opening at 8 AM and were pleasantly surprised to see many tables available. They have both inside and out door seating and the scenery is absolutely wonderful! The food arrived quickly and everything was great. Fantastic show through the windows with the hummingbird feeders and a very bold Magpie.

Mountain Man Burger with bacon, egg, mushroom, onion, jalapeño added.

This was a nice find! We stopped at the Falls River Visitors Center before heading into the national park. This restaurant is attached to it! There is some limited outdoor seating--if it's available, sit outside! The view is beautiful and hummingbirds use the feeders they have placed there. The menu includes some awesome burger options!! We got the Mountain Man burger and the Elk burger. Lots of topping options can be added for an up charge--like egg and bacon. The burgers were phenomenal! The sweet potato fries were a little overdone, but still tasty. Server was very knowledgeable and helpful with the topping suggestions.

Absolute shit. Ordered hot chocolate for the family and ended up spending $30 for a hot chocolate water from the machine with no milk. Thought we would get some nice hot chocolate after a hike in the freezing rockies, I guess i can't have good things Don't come here, I warned you.

    View from 2nd floor deck

Great bloody Mary's, good potato soup and fish and chips. Elk burger and mountain burger overcooked. It was cold so they let us sit inside with our very well behaved dog.

Delicious local beer on the patio.

This place was perfect for us! We needed somewhere to eat dinner with our young son and dog and they were not only able to accommodate us but very gracious. Tony was our server and he was fantastic - even brought a bowl of water for our sweet pupper girl. The food hit the spot, and I really enjoyed my turkey reuben. The view was beautiful and being able to distract our son by walking around the attached store while we waited for our food was great. The playground next to the patio was a huge bonus for our family!

Very dry elk burger. Cold fries. $21

Awful. We ordered a buffalo burger and an elk burger. They both came on a bun with a little bit of bbq sauce. That's it. $21 each! The fries were ice cold. DO not go here for a burger! We sat on the patio with our dog. The smoking area is right around the corner, which made the whole experience even worse. And the best view is basically a parking lot.

This place was pretty good! We didn't stay far from here so we could have just gone back to our cabin to eat, but we ended up having Lunch here after we hiked one morning. It wasn't busy at all, we got to choose where we sat and we sat outside because the view and the weather was good even though it was raining a little. (it's a little smelly outside because there a stable 200ft away) I like that there's a small playground my kids and run around at for a bit. They had a good selection of drinks. I had the trout (it came with lemon butter and capers but I asked for it on the side because I wasn't sure if I'd like that, and I'm glad I asked for it on the side). My side of veggies that came with it was seasoned perfectly and the trout was amazing! It was cooked perfectly. My husband had a stew and that was pretty good too. This is a nice place to sit down and eat right out side of one of the RMNP entrances.

Hubby and I stopped here twice after being in the park. Great spot to rest and refuel. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and service was great. We sat on the deck outside both times; that was a treat to continue to be outside and see the views. Food was a bit hit or miss. The first time, I had french toast and he had an omelet and both were delicious. The second time, I had a BLT that was good but dry. He had a steak wrap that wasn't very flavorful and had more cabbage than meat. Still, we'll likely be back!

Do not eat here. Food is way overpriced and it sucks. Burnt hamburger, burnt bacon and burnt buns.

Waitress was great! That's all we can comment on for stars. We ended up with an appetizer to satisfy our stomachs and left.

It was that good the first time that we decided to come back and do it all over again the next day. Parking is somewhat limited, but we arrived early on weekday mornings and had no trouble finding a spot. The restaurant is charming from the outside, with a colorful "Greetings from Estes Park" old postcard mural that makes for a great photo opportunity. Inside, the atmosphere is modern yet cozy, and both days we were lucky enough to snag a window booth. Our first experience set the tone right away. We walked in just as a server was arriving for her shift. Noticing nobody was at the host stand, she seated us before even putting away her personal belongings. That's customer service. For breakfast, I ordered a special that I can't seem to find on the menu now--an Eggs Benedict with pulled pork. I debated swapping the greens for potatoes but decided to be healthy. To my surprise, the dish was served on crispy potato pancakes instead of an English muffin, which meant I got the best of both worlds. The combination was fantastic, and honestly, I think Eggs Benedict works even better on potato pancakes than on bread. Every bite was packed with flavor. The next morning, I made myself try something different, even though I was tempted to order the same thing again. I chose the Cambridge Skillet: smoked ham and bacon with jack and cheddar cheeses over seasoned ranch potatoes, topped with two over-easy eggs and creamy hollandaise. It was delicious and hearty, although my first day's breakfast still edged it out as my favorite. I also sampled my friend's whole wheat blueberry pancake. It was enormous and surprisingly flavorful. I especially appreciated that many of their sweeter breakfast options come with eggs and a choice of bacon or sausage. It's a nice balance and makes for a more satisfying meal. The food, service, and atmosphere were consistently excellent on both visits. The Egg of Estes quickly became one of our favorite breakfast spots in Estes Park, and it's definitely somewhere we'll return on future trips.

My daughter enjoyed her Vive La France French Toast as well. Our waitress was very friendly and had good timing - there were no long waits for her to reappear, as sometimes happens elsewhere. There was a little snafu - if I hadn't been paying attention, I'd have paid someone else's bill, almost 4X ours - but clearly it was an honest mistake and it's no harm, no foul. My Hogback Sour Cocktail was over the moon. Made from bourbon, lemon, simple syrup, egg white, and Cabernet float. The unique blend made a great drink. I wanted more, but held back because we were hiking later. My wife's traditional slightly dirty martini was perfectly made as well. We started with the homemade chips and dip. Nice crispy chips with beautiful fresh made onion dip. Next came the Pheasant soup. I wanted to lick the bowl clean, it was so yummy. The main course for me was the carnivore plate with elk, filet, sausage, and broccoli/shallots. The elk meat was the star on my plate. Having that next to the filet mignon allowed me to taste test them in real time. The Elk meat won hands down. Not even close in my opinion. The sausage was packed with wonderful flavors, but after a few bites overwhelmed my palette. My wife had the Creamy Potato Gnocchi Bowl. We both shared each other's dishes. She loved the Elk Meat. I really enjoyed the Gnocchi, and wished it could be a side dish to my Elk meat. Service was great with Elizabeth checking on us at the right times. Tip: Ask for the postcard and the restaurant will send it out for you after you fill it out. Tip: the restaurant fills up quickly, so call ahead and get a reservation.
