A special (not regular menu item), slow braised beef - just amazing.

Getting right to the point, this place is absolutely fantastic, what a hidden gem. I say hidden because it's fairly new and tucked between two buildings and down a little stairwell. We LOVED it. The food, the vibe, the service, the drinks - all 5 stars. The 12-ounce Ribeye with the Herb butter, crispy asparagus and Yukon mashed was as good as it gets, and a perfect temperature cook. Our other dish was a special, a braised beef that was so tender and flavorful - it almost made me cry. Service from Jovana was 10 stars and the mixologist Cam behind the bar made one of the best Expresso Martinis we've had - each drink gets true fresh expresso, and Cam is a vigorous 'shaker'. This was such a nice find. There are two dining rooms, and we choose a booth on the bar side, romantic lighting, clean & comfortable. This experience was not just a superb dinner; it was a wonderful experience! Highly recommend and would return to Estes Park - for this meal alone. Thank you Park Tavern Team!

We came for lunch on the patio with our dog. The patio was a bit lackluster, with things piled up along the wall and no umbrellas or coverage for when it rained. Service was good, the menu has some interesting options but we went with the Hangover Burger and fries. The fries were good, kinda like Wendy's. The burger was alright, good enough but nothing special. Our fried egg was pretty overcooked. Would maybe come back to try other items.

2nd time here and this time the food was wow, like the slaw is some of the best I've had and yes why I start with the slaw is because it's was so good. Jerk chicken drum stick really great and salmon sandwich excellent. Fish tacos had peppers that were crazy hot. George Stagg Jr on the menu. Great Bourbon selection with process a bit too high, but GS Jr at 20 isn't too bad. We will definitely be back

Food was amazing. Our waitress was very helpful in recommending items and we loved it all. The atmosphere was nicer than we were expecting since it used to be more of a bar and grill. We'd definitely come back!

Might be a little tricky to find!

We were recommended Park Tavern by a local. The entrance is somewhat hidden behind the shops off Elkhorn Ave. We came on a weekday for a quick lunch; timing was in between lunch and dinner, so it was not very busy. Service was quick and attentive. We ordered two apps and an entree. Everything was wonderful! The beef short rib was tender and flavorful. The shrimp aguachile was refreshing and the chili was comforting. Overall, we enjoyed our lunch and would also recommend Park Tavern to others!

A signature stop! I went here when I was younger and remembered this tucked away pub with an incredible bison burger. Needless to say, we were full and happy leaving! Hristina, our server, was attentive and sweet. The spot has a nice tavern feel with outdoor seating available. Highly recommend the elk sausage :)

This spot took over where Wapiti Colorado Pub used to be. I recognized it right when I walked in. They've got both indoor and outdoor seating, which is great. We tried a couple of burgers, and they were solid. Service was friendly and attentive and the restaurant was clean with a full bar.

OMG! An amazing restaurant! It's slightly off Elk Ave downtown. It's a cute place that serves delicious food!! They have a full bar. We had the Elk medallions with mashed potatoes and green beans. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Our waitress was so very nice! We will definitely go back when we go to EP again!

Finally some actually good food in Estes. This place is special and is legit delicious. In this touristy town, I've had a hard time finding actually good eats but this is it. The chef at Park Tavern is apparently the same chef for the highly regarded Hunters Chophouse. I can't wait to go back and try more. I got the steak and the pecan pie. Both SO good. Service was excellent as well. Vibe inside was very cool: the room is pretty dark and each table has a lamp light creating a cozy atmosphere. It felt (and tasted) genuinely upscale, a welcome reprieve from the general Estes tourist options.

Went here with my wife last night. We sat in the bar at a booth and thought the bar area was a nice setting. We had a couple hand-crafted cocktails and they were really delicious. I watched them make all of them and really take their time and pay attention to details. They were very well done! I order old fashions quite a bit and theirs was one of the better one I have had-not too sweet like many are. We also had an Apathy and a Patio Crusher which were also outstanding. We started with the Seared Beef Ravioli which we absolutely loved and could have made a meal out of. I had the herb-roasted chicken thighs which were delicious but it did have a lot of sauce on it. My wife had the short ribs which was really braised beef but was also very delicious. I would recommend this place for both the drinks and the food! Waitress was very nice and attentive so add great service to the list!

Second Visit July 2025 After hiking 5 miles to Ouzel Falls (gorgeous, but oh my legs are screaming!), we dragged ourselves into Park Tavern for lunch...again. Yep, second visit in two days. And you know what? It was just as fabulous the second time around. We grabbed a breezy patio table and were lucky enough to be taken care of by Mindi who was absolutely funny, relaxed, totally in sync with our "we're not rushing this" vibe. She handled the lunch crowd like a pro and somehow still made time to chat and make great recommendations. And speaking of familiar faces... Ivana remembered us from the day before and stopped by like an old friend. Christian, who helped us with WiFi and killer cocktails yesterday, was behind the bar today mixing drinks like he's been doing it forever. (oh yeah, bartending, Christian...you're a natural.) The guys couldn't resist round two of those amazing burgers. My girlfriend devoured the short rib grilled cheese and mashed potatoes like it was her very favorite meal. And me? I had a full-on food romance with the blackened salmon piccata. Creamy, lemony, buttery magic. Please, oh please, let me have it again in this lifetime! This place has heart, hustle, and a vibe that makes you feel like you belong. Don't miss it. ~~~~~~~ First visit July 2025 Visited July 2, 2025 We were so hungry after an early morning hike and during a desperate Google search we discovered Park Tavern. New spot, tucked down a little alley off West Elkhorn and it looked promising. And oh, did it deliver. They're in soft opening, but you'd never know it. The vibe is modern pub with a fresh twist, cocktails are on point, and the team? So welcoming. Ivana, the hostess, got us seated at the perfect spot...open doors, mountain breeze, and good energy all around. I wandered up to the bar, started chatting, and to my surprise, I learned I was talking to one of the owners, Sujib. Yep. That was pretty cool! We had minty mojitos, a Grey Goose lemon drop, and a round of burgers that hit all the right notes...especially that fig and jalapeño combo. And yes, I absolutely ordered the bourbon pecan pie with butter pecan ice cream. Zero regrets. It was southern soul on a plate. Estes Park's food scene just got a glow-up. This one's worth finding.

I slept about 4 hours the night before to make it early for sunrise. To say that a few tasty beers were what the doctor ordered would be the understatement of the century! None of this matters, of course, to the good folks at Rocky Cut Brewing Company. This is off the main drag of Estes in an unassuming strip plaza. Humble vibes inside, a simple U-shaped bar top with seating all around, a few smaller tables, a community table, and a large patio with mostly picnic table seating. If you're lucky, snag a stool right along the Big Thompson River! Though, I recommend they fix the wooden placeholders for beers, they're leaning on the wrong side of history, we don't want any full glasses of beer reaching an unnecessary demise! Interference IPA * American IPA * 6.7% * 16oz ($7) From their website: "Climbing the Interference Boulder in Rocky Mountain National Park requires strength and power. This Colorado IPA showcases the power of hops with an intense blend forging citrus aromas with a pine forward finish. I would summarize this beer just as they did, focusing on hops, citrus, and pine. Absolutely delicious, a memorable IPA in recent memory. I liked it so much I ordered it again and it tasted just as delicious the second time down! They also had a food truck outside, so safe to assume they do this often. Would love to try more of their beers during my next visit. Rock Cut, I see you!

There were a couple of mix-ups with our order, including Mezcal which has a very distinct taste accidentally being added to my margarita, and some incorrect side dishes but the staff handled everything quickly and professionally. Since the restaurant had only recently reopened with a new menu, the mistakes were understandable. I ordered the Smashburger with fries, and my friend had the chicken fajita sandwich with a salad. The food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable for the area. The rooftop offers beautiful views of Estes Park and is conveniently located right in the shopping district. The only downside was the orange barrier coverings around parts of the rooftop while renovations were being completed. They blocked some of the views and took away a bit of the ambiance. Once those renovations are finished, this will be an even better spot. Great food, attentive service, and a fantastic location, I would definitely visit again once the renovations are completed.

We sat down and about 10 minutes later, a couple sat behind us and our waitress visited and brought water to their table first instead of ours. In addition, another couple behind us was not seen by any waiter/waitress and had to ask a worker (who might have been an assistant manager? Although, not clear what his position was) if they can order with him. Overall service felt scattered, a bit slow overall, and unprofessional. Food: I ordered the tex mex bowl with barbacoa. It tasted as expected, nothing spectacular. However, there was a massive piece of plastic in my food. I let the waitress know and she apologized on behalf of the kitchen. I kept the meal because I hate waste and I didn't see any other plastic pieces in the food. Right after I found the plastic, I also discovered a bone in the meat. It was big enough to hurt a tooth if I had bit down on it but thankfully I spit it out before I chewed my food completely. While a bone might be normal to find in meat, I was certainly unhappy that now two objects were in this food. I was never comped for my meal and the manager never visited my table to apologize. I only write reviews if I had a fantastic experience or when I feel the need to warn others about the restaurant. I recommend choosing another restaurant before choosing this one if you prefer quality food and service.

After one of my go-to nearby restaurants closed down, I decided to venture here for a burger. This place rocks! Boss Burgers and Gyros reminds me of a classic dive that we all know and love. Nothing fancy, no frills, no fuss, no pretentiousness, just tasty food at an affordable price. You order at the counter and the cashier gives you a table number. Plenty of outdoor seating with some indoor seating as well. This place gets pretty busy, but the staff hustles. Kitchen is cranking out relatively quick ticket times so you don't have to wait that long at all. For a cheeseburger with bacon and jalapeños and an order of cheese fries, this was $14 and change. And I added the bacon and jalapeños to the burger! In Denver, this would be $25, haha. The cheese fries (small) were really enough for two people. So you get your money's worth after a day exhausting yourself at RMNP. Burger was great. I added some mustard to mine at the table. It comes with LTO, ketchup, and mayo. This tastes like what you want at a backyard BBQ. Served on a red plastic tray with paper lining, this mom and pop place dishes humble food without breaking the bank. Bacon was crispy, cheese was melty, I had no complaints! Only knock on the cheese fries were that they desperately needed salt. It's not the best burger place of all time, but it doesn't need to be. These are the types of places I love supporting. Will return and maybe try an elk dog next time!
