The food was good. Not the best Italian we've ever had but fine. What you'd expect. What was not great was the ambience. The restaurant is noisy with dishes and silverware clanging. It feels almost like a cafeteria. The acoustics, decor and long line of square rooms lacks creativity and ambience that you'd expect from an Italian restaurant. We won't come back here.

This restaurant by far is one of the finest restaurants on the property. Our first night of dining there we were treated to homemade squid ink pasta with fresh seafood Paccheri pasta with clams, shrimp, and cherry tomatoes. And by fresh I mean it was as fresh as just swimming out of the ocean and onto our plates. The texture of the pasta leaves one no doubt that it was crafted lovingly with quality ingredients meticulously kneaded by hand. The texture and the give of the pasta was delicate, chewy, with a silky finish. Then without any queue to Ramon(our most excellent waiter), he emerged with a homemade chocolate and fresh raspberry dessert platter. The Mousse portion of the chocolate deliciously melted in your mouth and it was a great way to finish this Fantastic gourmet meal. At conclusion, Ramon promised if we return the following evening he would ask the chef to prepare something special. After careful review of other property restaurant menus, we allowed Ramon to outdo himself. And boy did he ever! Ramon remembered how we love seafood, presented to us accompanied with the manager and the chef, a creation of delicate sea bass with a spinach creamy beur blanc sauce along with saffron covered fresh lobster tail. The lobster was presented with a beautiful homemade capellini pasta with sauteed mushrooms. Outstanding food quality, presentation and most of all customer service is what one would get dining at #tramonto This was a fine dining experience that will forever be in our list of favorites! Bravo!!

The food was good. We had bruschetta which has egg plant in it. Need to use a fork on it because the eggplant is sliced and doesn't bite easily. Lasagna was terrific. The vodka sauce with salmon is not a piece of salmon with pasta, rather salmon sauce. Complimentary dessert which was nice.

Delicious steakhouse and Italian food in Mexico. The service is amazing the staff is so friendly and attentive. The presentation of everything that we were served was prefect. We had a Caesar salad with anchovies fettuccine with a mushroom cream sauce with white wine. Chicken parmigiana and spaghetti and filet mignon in a cognac sauce with mashed potatoes and asparagus. For dessert tiramisu OMG delicious

High class Italian restaurant with top notch service. The Calamari, off of the appetizer menu, tastes fresh and flavorful with all the seasoning; highly recommend! I ordered the Catch of the Day which ended up being a fish name that I didn't know, and do not remember; but it was light, flaky, & tasted very similar to sea bass. The sauce that it came with was delicious. I would definitely get again. For dessert, I would recommend the tiramisu as it is extremely moist. The bottom layer cake literally seeps out coffee when you cut into it! We also order the Lemon Cake, in which the presentation was beautiful; however, the cake was too sour for my taste. Overall, excellent experience and food. Would come back.

    Raviolis, were good

We didn't have formal clothing so we had to order out and pick it up. I ordered the ravioli for my daughter, pasta Bolognese for me and also the mozzarella Caprese. The caprese was very good. It was tomato and mozzarella slices drizzled with pesto and a basil leaf in the middle. My daughter had the raviolis and she liked the raviolis but not the sauce. I was kind of disappointed with my plate because the sauce was pretty thick and they didn't give me the noodles I had wanted. I told them the flat long noodles and they gave me fusilli noodles.

Group of four our 2nd night dining, one wanted steak so we went to the "Italian Steak House" He ordered his steak medium well and was disappointed it came pink in the middle and sent it back. (Seriously though, why order the most expensive steak and then have it tuned into shoe leather?!) It was still pink, but certainly not bloody so his wife made him eat it. I'm with the kitchen and the wife on this one. Pastas were house made and good, my husband liked his lasagna. I had the Mahi Mahi, which was served with ravioli and creamed spinach. The one ravioli I got (it did say ravioli, not raviolis) was good but too literal as it would have been nice to have more than one. One the other hand, the creamed spinach was more like spinached cream. The cream was VERY good, very caloric and the spinach very fresh, but would have like more spinach, less cream. So, if you HAVE to go to a steak place In Nayarit, it was nice (but noisy with kids)...I'm pushing for more traditional seafood or Mexican from now on though.

This place is so overrated. Don't waste your time. Nothing special for Italian food. I would much rather go to another restaurant.

La Terrazza di Roma -- Excellent Food, Failing Management…read more The kitchen and serving staff are genuinely impressive -- skilled, attentive, and professional without being intrusive. The food is consistently excellent. Unfortunately, two separate visits have been marred by rude, unprofessional behavior from management, which no amount of good pasta can offset. **Visit 1 -- November 28, 2025** My wife and I ordered lasagna and chicken parmigiana with a bottle of wine. The meal was excellent. Our bill came to 2,800 pesos before gratuity, and we asked the manager for change from a 500-peso note to tip both our server and the musician. He produced the change, but audibly grumbled throughout -- a petty response to a routine request in any full-service restaurant, let alone one positioning itself at the high end of the Puerto Vallarta market. I attributed it to a bad night and moved on. **Visit 2 -- May 14, 2026** The food again was outstanding: thinly sliced eggplant with dates and pine nuts, arancini al tartufo, gnocchi, and linguini. The servers were excellent. The hostess was not. We arrived at 6:45 p.m. and requested an outdoor table. The hostess told us none were available -- all reserved. We were seated inside. Over the next ninety minutes, the outdoor section remained nearly empty, with only a handful of those "reserved" tables ever occupied. We were dressed appropriately -- collared shirt, dress shorts, and shoes for me; a sundress for my wife -- so a dress code explanation doesn't apply. Being deceived about table availability is not a miscommunication. It is a lie. **Bottom Line** Two visits, two distinct incidents of management behaving in ways that would be unacceptable at a food truck, much less a fine-dining establishment. This is not bad luck; it is a pattern. If the owner is not the manager, I would strongly encourage them to evaluate who is representing the front of house. The kitchen deserves better, and so do the guests. There are many restaurants in Puerto Vallarta with welcoming hosts and gracious management. I will be dining at those instead.

First things first, the setting is straight out of a postcard. Picture this: you're perched high up, gazing out at this unbelievably beautiful, sparkling blue sea, with an old, quaint church adding character to the horizon. It's truly a dreamscape, especially as the sun begins its descent, painting the sky with the most incredible colors. Seriously, it's the kind of view that makes your jaw drop and your worries melt away. Pure, unadulterated magic! Our evening was made even more special by our fantastic waiter, Jarod. What a star! He was genuinely charming and incredibly attentive, always there right when we needed him without being intrusive. He kept everything running smoothly, offered great suggestions, and truly made us feel like royalty. His warmth and efficiency really elevated the whole vibe of the night. And then, the food... oh my goodness, the food! It was nothing short of culinary perfection. I couldn't resist ordering my beloved pork osso bucco again - it's become my absolute favorite there, and for good reason! It arrived unbelievably tender, practically melting in your mouth, and every bite was an explosion of rich, delectable flavors. Just as phenomenal as I remembered, if not better! Honestly, every single dish that graced our table was impeccably prepared and utterly delicious. Seriously, if you're looking for an unforgettable dining experience, you *must* put La Capella on your list. And here's my golden nugget of advice: make sure to grab an early reservation. Trust me, you absolutely do not want to miss that breathtaking sunset; it transforms an amazing dinner into an absolutely legendary one. Go on, treat yourself - you won't it.

The dish was solid with a nice presentation. They also brought out complimentary olive bread with parmesan grated cheese which was really good. The food and drinks are pricey! For the 4 of us including drinks and dinner, it ended up being almost $70 per person. Service was just okay, our waiter was a little stern and we had to flag to get his attention a few times. I would definitely come here for a special occasion, for the beautiful view and ambience.
