I'm very unhappy with my hair. I spent 5 hours and $170 to get my hair highlighted and came out with ashy grey hair mostly on the top of my head. Before I left, I told the stylist, who was very sweet, that I disliked what had resulted. I gave her an opportunity to fix it (part of why it took so long). She did another toner, and it still looks horrible. I called within 24 hours of the appointment to request a refund, since I was told washing would help, and it definitely did not. I was told that the stylist who did my hair has apparently different policies than the rest of the salon and that the original stylist would call me back. After speaking to her she shared that the salon has an "all sales are final" sign posted, and I would not be given back my money. I only tried this salon because I moved 72 Miles from my old stylist. I want to just drive back to my regular stylist to fix it--it's that worth it to me. I got my hair done for my brother's graduation, and I'm so embarrassed that my hair looks like this. I already gave the stylist a chance to correct it. My hair is incredibly dried out from being over-processed. I don't feel comfortable going back to that salon. My hair needs to have the color corrected and be repaired. It's going to be expensive to do. I have never paid that much money for highlights and a one inch trim, let alone to have a color job that is so far off the mark from my expectations. I am awaiting a call from the owner tomorrow. Tomorrow is the only day I have to get this corrected, before I fly out of state. I am highly displeased and do not recommend this salon for color. Update 5/10/18 10:36 am. I just spoke with the "owner" of the salon. Her response was that the stylist that did my hair is who is supposed to be taking care of this issue. The owner informed me she would not be issuing me a refund because the stylist who did my hair "works for herself," and "only rents a chair". She further stated that I'm the only person that has ever been disappointed with that particular stylists' results. Whether that is true or not, I am incredibly disappointed and dissatisfied with my hair and the amount of money and time I have spent in trying to correct this issue. The owner relayed to me that I will have to speak to the stylist (again), to try to resolve this issue. So far up to this point, I spoke to the stylist the day of, she added toner, I let her know I still didn't love it at the end. She suggested that I will "like it even more in a couple of days". I called yesterday spoke to another stylist. I received an vm from the stylist called her back. I asked to speak to the owner. Owner called me today. I was told to speak to the stylist again. After my husband called around a few local salons to find the right one for our curly hair, I decided on Transcends for my cuts/ color. I came in for my first appointment with Brianna and she talked with me for a good hour discussing all my concerns and questions. She was and is always so polite, sweet, and patient with me. Ive been going to her now for my cuts/ color for over a year now. Just got a trim today actually, and I'm always very pleased!!! I am from California. I moved here not quite two years ago. It has been a major headache to find a stylist. In Ca they are on every corner. Not so much here. I am an older woman and am extremely pickey about my hair!!! FINALLY found a wonderful little stylist. Her name is Chelsea. She gave me the best hair cut and style. So happy with her. Do yourself a favor and call her if you are tired of crappy hair cuts. So happy with her that I made my husband get a cut too and he also was very happy. I am not one to give negative reviews unless they are well deserved. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. PLEASE, PLEASE do not go to this studio and see BRIANNA. She absolutely destroyed my hair. I came in with natural roots and a subtle blonde baylayage hoping to cover the blonde while keeping my natural color and adding in very subtle deep, natural auburn. I left with dark, all over color and PINK/PURPLE "highlights". I was clearly upset before I left, and Brianna agreed for me to come back so she could cover the pink later that day. I gave her a second chance and went back for it to be corrected. I then left with nearly black all over color (because she couldn't cover the pink and let me process too long). I messaged her later about my concern, and she told me her salon did not do refunds. I explained my frustration, and she simply chose to not reply. I explained that I have family photos this weekend and would like a refund so that I could have it fixed properly. I am so beyond disappointed with this business and how I was treated. My daughter came in on Saturday at 11 am to get her makeup done for prom with a friend. She drove home in tears because it was so bad. She had to wash it off and do it herself. Which made her hair appointment late and she missed her professional pictures with her friends. This is horriable if the girls could not do make up professionally then they should not do it at all. Her eyelashes also fell off on the way home, the eyeliner was horriable and the eyeshadow was not even Blended correctly. Her and he friend were so disappointed. I felt so bad. What a waste of money! Do not get your makeup done there. Hopefully they don't do hair as bad as makeup! read more

I went to TRANSCENDS STUDIOS while I was staying with my niece in Queen Creek...I'm from Ohio and have No idea where to get a great cut in the east valley...so she, my niece, being a librarian at one of the local schools knew of a Mom that opened a salon there and invited had invited my niece to come in sometime for a cut or service, my niece took me in to meet JENNIFER TALBOT the owner, it was late afternoon on Thursday...Jennifer got me in the very next morning at 10:00am...gave me the most beautiful tailored cut and retouched my highlights and it was the most experience across the board FABULOUS NEW SHORTER CUT...GREAT highlights...Amazing products that I'll be stocking up on before I go back to the east coast and what a lovely lovely person! We chatted the entire time about everything and nothing and I fell in love with her and her studio that day! Do yourself a favor and go check out TRANSCENDS STUDIOS in Queen Creek...Jennifer's a DREAM and you won't be sorry...Oh and her prices were moderate for what she does!
