What can i say about this place? They are a small hole in the wall, local place that is extremely cheap. There are so many locals here and the food is made so deliciously. Came here for the great reviews and price and was very under whelmed. The atmosphere was a 2 out of 5, with painting for famous works of art adoring the walls, and taped up posters on the ceiling with some creepy scenes. When we were seated we were given 2 glasses total for water and wine. I guess we drink the water and fill the wine in between? We were given stale bread and no plate to put olive oil and balsamic vinegar on, yet it was at the table for use. My husband got spinach, beef stew, and the homemade pasta and meat sauce. I got the rosemary chicken, spinach and mushroom risotto. My husband liked his food for the most part. The sauce for the beef stew is almost identical to the pasta meat sauce, but the beef was very tender and the pasta noodles were fresh...my chicken, however, was not satisfactory. No rosemary flavor and the chicken was in little sliced pieces that reminded me of chow mien chicken that is a few days old. The spinach and risotto were good. Oddly, it was a mushroom and zucchini risotto , yet I had 4 small pieces of shrimp in the dish...not sure what that was about. Lastly, the service is very lax. They do seat people at other people's tables if a seat is open. They are not attentive and never check on you. This was a very different experience from all the other Italian restaurants we have been too in Florence, including other mom and pop shops. I would skip this one, even for the price. read more

The food in Florence and pretty much everywhere in Italy is seriously blowing my mind. It's my first time here and I can't stop eating. This little gem was right next to our Airbnb and we noticed a long line of locals (always a good sign) so we put our name on the list. So glad I did! The food here is super good, simple and rustic. The meal comes with pasta or first course, main course, bread, water, and house wine. ALL FOR 14€ per person! So ridiculous. A really great meal option while in Florence. We got there early in the evening, so were the only people around but the place got more popular as the evening progressed. This place is quite a steal. For €14 you get a first course a second course a side dish and wine and water and bread. I ordered fetucine bolognese with roasted rabbit and side of white beans with tomato. Rabbit was good and not as gamey as expected. My husband got gorgonzola gnocchi with walnuts sliced beef with arugula and parmigiano with mixed salad. Wine was good and service was very nice. Was very pleased. read more

We are a family of four in Florence only for 2 days. We saw the good reviews for this restaurant that was really close to our hotel. The food was amazing. The pasta was so tasty and the meat dishes were so succulent it falls off the bone. Even the side dishes of potatoes or veggies are so good. On top of that you get all the above for 15 euros! This is an absolutely fantastic restaurant and an amazing price for the food that you get. I was only in Florence for 3 days, and ate here twice because it was so delicious. The highlights for me were the ribollita and the white beans and tomato, but everything was perfect. Also the white wine! Just the slightest bit bubbly and delicious. We asked if we could buy some but it's on tap and they don't sell bottles sadly. If I ever come back to Florence, will definitely be back. One of the most unique dining experiences we had in Italy. The place was packed. We add our name to a clip board hanging by the door. This is working class Italian food and atmosphere. Our party of 4 was seated with a party of 2 that were about to finish up. They were from Belgium and quite delightful. The food was very good. Pastas were homemade and you could tell it. The veal was very good. I tried the Tripe which was quite flavorful and well seasoned. That said, I had not had Tripe before and doubt o will order it again due to the texture. After waiting for a half an hour for this place to open, we were seated and served bottled water and bread. The water, by far, was more flavorful than the bread. The bread tasted like a combination of chalk and nothing at all (I've learned that this is normal in Firenze, but this bed is particularly bad). QWorst bread I've ever had. Uh oh, I'm getting worried now. My father and I ordered a pasta dish and they were both just OK. I can do better in my own kitchen at home. At this point, I would give it 2 stars and call it a day. Then the Secondo arrived. My father received the driest and most foul tasting chicken I've ever tasted. It took everything not to spit this out. How can you serve this to people. This wasn't chicken, this was my shoe, sliced up into stringy, bite-sized pieces. My beef stew platter tasted like something that would be served at pub trivia. But if you're looking for a delicious, cheap Tuscan dinner, then look no further. My husband ordered the fiorentina bistecca and it was good for the value (we had better steak elsewhere, but for 28 euro, it wasn't bad!). I had the beef stew and it was great!
