Not surprised in the least. Had problems with previous ownership, and gave them a second chance under the new ownership and new name. I paid for service that I never received. No tire shine applied at all. Dry looking tires with a fresh wash and rims were not cleaned well SMH. Car was "OK" cleaned until I looked at the back. Still dirty on the driver side rear. Most likely because the spin brush was not even spinning as the car passed it. How hard is it to have a car wash actually clean your car? I don't think it's necessary to reach out to a manager on site if these are the same problems consistently happening. It's obviously a lack of attention to detail which could easily be remedied by taking the advice of all the negative comments on here. I to am a self employed business owner, and if I see the same problems happening, I take action. Like you said, this is your business and it's how you feed your family. But you possibly could have even more business if these were addressed. FYI the same problems that were happening here before you took ownership are still happening. Your current employees were also the same ones back then. I don't think it's coincidence. ***EDIT*** Thank you for the response. I appreciate it. I did see all the mechanical improvements you made and I acknowledge the business improvement from it. However, capital improvements will not make employees more cognizant of active involvement in ensuring your business is run well. I noticed the car not clean in the area mentioned when I got home. This means that it wasn't even touched with the towel at the end when it was being dried. A damp towel would have at least cleaned some of it. It really shouldn't be the role of the customer to inspect for a cleaned car when it is rightfully expected from a car wash. In regards to the tire shine, it has always been a recurring issue. It could be due to that it is an automated sprayer right next to the wind tunnel. When the car passes it and it is supposed to spray, the wind from the dryers could be just blowing it away. Pass this car wash everyday on my way home from work, and decided to give it a try. I went for the highest tier unlimited monthly plan for $37 with tax thinking I would get my car washed multiple times a week on my way home from work. Upon getting my car wash and inspecting it when I got home, I was SO DISAPPOINTED. There was still bird poop and dirty spots on my car, dried blue soap streaks all over my white car and upon driving that night I realized all my windows were sticky and had dried soap on them. I called and cancelled my monthly plan and received a refund on the wash. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. read more

The track that pulls your car through the wash will damage painted low profile wheels. It would be better if it was a drive-in car wash. The track is antiquated and dangerous. The closed cell foam brushes retain debris, which may scratch your paint, although Mike will assure you to the contrary. If you like your car perfect, wash it yourself. I learned the hard way. The owner, Mike, is a nice guy but extremely defensive and assured me over email that the damage that was done to my car was just not possible when I went to cancel my monthly membership after sustaining damage to my vehicle. read more

This car wash is 4 stars, as long as you are looking for a really fast efficient car wash, no frills. You're not getting anything special for $8 for an exterior wash, but in my opinion you are getting your moneys worth. My favorite part about this car wash is that I can pull up to the automated payment machine, pay my $8 with a credit card, pull through the auto exterior wash, and be out of there in less than 10 minutes. The car is clean, and I am happy. I typically go on my lunch break, and there has never been a wait. Again, this is a basic car wash- but for $8 I can go a couple times a month to keep the outside of my car clean without having to put in a lot of time or money. read more

Stopped there on my way home on Sept 26th. Was my first time there, . . . $14.99 for a "Basic" car wash and wax, that to me is a lot, considering that they do NOTHING but put you in the automated washing system, . . . there was one guy there to dry the car. Because you stay in the car to have it washed, you don't really see whether or not it is clean, I guess I should know better than to be so trusting! My car was disgustingly dirty upon leaving there. Whats going on there your manager wanted to start a FIGHT with me after I said the car was not entirely clean and then the asked me for a tip for not doing his job... so I told him to get lost. Then he grabbed my ski poles and thru them into a tree. It was pretty funny. But also really sad that you employ such a Idiot. What happened to customer service. This place was much better before the management changed. The people that work here are very unprofessional, calls the customers that are waiting in line names as they pull into the car wash. You can get any tier cash wash there, im pretty its all the same. Just look like minimal cleaning agent is used and washed off. The self serve vacuums are no more better then handheld vacuum at sucking up debris. They do definitely do a good job of sucking your money. They also removed and stopped the self serve cleaning station, which let you use their cleaners and rag to clean your car. Will not be going here again. read more

Nice job on the exterior cleaning but my experience with management was a completely different story. If I could give this place a negative star rating just for the customer service and unprofessional manager on site, I would. I got The Works package, which was advertised to include a "Free Vacuum", so I assumed that meant they would do a basic vacuum in the inside (which is what I really came there for). After the exterior cleaning was done, one of the employees informed me that "Free vacuum" only meant they "turn on" the Vacuum and you have to do it yourself. I was confused and felt I bought into a service that I did not want. I was then told to go speak to the manager so I did. He wasn't very welcoming the moment I stepped into the office. Maybe he was in a bad mood?? Idk.. I explained to him that I was a new customer and that I wanted my car vacuumed and that that was really needed. He replied by telling me that I did indeed get everything that I paid for. I then told him that my package stated the it includes free vacuuming. He then corrected me and said "NO, it comes with free VACUUM, not free vacuuming. There's a difference. So no we do not vacuum your car". Last time I checked "Vaccum" is a noun AND verb - go ahead look it up. So in my mind, I believed that I did not get everything I paid for since I interpreted "Free Vacuum" as exactly what it meant and not what this rude manager was telling me. Even after I explained that I "misunderstood" THEIR meaning of free Vaccum, he didn't seem very eager to accommodate me, like oh idk.. offering a discount? So I demanded a refund and, as expected, he straight up said nope. So I got pissed, said thanks you piece of crap and left. He proceeded to follow me out side and scream DUMBASSS WHO COMES WHEN ITS RAINING (while another customer is pulling up) First of all, I'm not the one who doesn't know the multiple definitions of VACUUM, so yea I'm the dumbass right? And second of all, I didn't come for exterior cleaning (like I stated earlier). And third of all, you're going to call a customer a Dumbass in front of other customers? And last but not least, you're the sucker who's highest achievement is a managerial position in a car wash.. Lol. I've worked in numerous supervisor positions and taken customer service classes back in high school and college so I know what the bare minimum is... I feel sorry for the owner because your employees are a reflection of your business. And this guy was the epitome of unprofessionalism. Hire people with actual customer service skills. Pulled in and ordered the top package which includes interior cleaning wheels n tires. Got exterior wash and a 1 minute half done cloth dry and nothing else. When I asked they stated they were short handed so no wheel, tire or interiors being done. OK, why not say so when paying for package? Why not just offer the basic $10 one which includes only interior? Instead they sell u the other packages then turn around and apologize bc they can't deliver. All I got was shoulder shrugs. No refund, no service. Guess what no tip. I'm never going back and neither should you. read more

The last two times I went to this car wash the side brushes did not work. They are willing to take your money but they don't tell you they are only capable of washing the top of your car. The new owner has installed cameras (so now the employees at least spray down one side of your car) and has installed new equipment however his goal of having a great car wash is falling short. I'm a long time resident of Montville and this will be the last time I get my car washed in town at Trax. ps to owner: Please don't tell me about equipment failure because I wish that was the only reoccurring issue. read more

Worst car wash. They harass you about buying a monthly plan... Then they spray only one side of your car before you go into the car wash. And the towel dry at the end is the kicker. They use already wet towels so the streaks are incredible. And the lint they left of my car was obscene. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

If you go, just get the basic exterior package. I got the deluxe which was supposed to include a vacuum, but they didn't seem to know that and my unhappy daughter in the backseat prevented me from making an issue of it. That being said, it's great that you don't have to get out of your car, and my daughter loved the lights going through. read more

A robin decided to "decorate" the passenger side of my car during the day so I figured I'd pass through the car wash on my way to work. The $9 price seemed reasonable and I was the only person there (that should have been a red flag). Here's where my complaint starts. I pull into the entrance, the attendant picks up the power washer and sprays the driver side and completely ignores the passenger side of my vehicle despite the fact that I was motioning for him to also spray the passenger side of the vehicle to get rid of the bird poop. This was also mentioned in the Yelp review of others. Basically, my purpose of going through the car wash was pointless. Laziness personified. I went through the car wash only to have to take my car to another car wash. I do NOT recommend this "car wash" as they only washed one side of my car. Never going back! read more

Had a great experience here yesterday as the weather was changing. I love the automated system because it certainly increases the speed (plus I don't enjoy people ;)) And then I turned the tunnel and went through. I can tell the equipment was new and updated and it did a great job. After going through the tunnel, I appreciate the air blowing and then the final touch of the hand towel. The dryer at the end was extremely friendly. I had such a good experience that I signed up for the unlimited program they offer! read more

I do not like to write negative reviews especially when it is this low. But I really did not have a great experience here. I drive past TRAX car wash sometimes so today I decided to finally go in and give it a try. When I got there a man walked over to me talking on the phone to someone trying to direct me on where to go but I was very confused with what he was saying due to the fact he was having a conversation with somebody else over the phone. To begin you first have to choose and pay for what you want. I chose "the works" which is the highest level of car wash. The man was pressing all the buttons for me and he was still on the phone with somebody so I still was unsure if he were talking to me or not. It became clear to me that he was not speaking to me when I heard him saying the word "ni*ga* multiple times.. I finally entered the area where your car gets cleaned in which the man who was still on the phone began to spray my car. He didn't tell me what I need to do until I rolled down the window and asked. I sat in the car as it went through the wash when I exited Man told me to pull up where he towel dried my car in about one minute and told me I was good to go. I'm not familiar with this car wash but I do not think that the highest level of car wash was given to me today I don't believe I received a tire shine I also didn't get any type of vacuuming or any direction on where to go to do anything. People did not communicate well at all and it was just a pretty uncomfortable experience. I see other reviews on here of people having wonderful experiences and I'm just very unsure what happened today with mine. Nothing was done to the inside of my car whatsoever (I'm not sure if something was supposed to be done or not) so it is still filthy and as for my exterior my windows have specks all over them and are still not clean. read more

Maybe this review will cause them to really start thinking about their clients. Pushy sales guy for every car that drives up to the car wash. Unprofessional. They used to be Green Clean Car Wash, but are now Trax Car Wash. The monthly membership for Trax is over 50% more than the Green Clean Price as advertised on their website and what I am currently paying for. Maybe this could be justifiable if the quality was on par with the old Trax down in New Brunswick. The machines inside are faulty, because some of them that are supposed to be touching the car are pushed up against the wall and spin nowhere near the car. The guy at the entrance just takes a hose and lackadaisically shoots water at one side of your car. If you're lucky, he will take a scrub brush and get your windshield and half of the rear. The water jets don't even point at the car, but in all sorts of random directions away from the car. I learned over an amount of time that after paying for the premium monthly services ($35.00), I actually was only getting the basics (19.99). No tire shine, no triple coat, nothing. I brought it to their attention, and still nothing. Monthly unlimited on Trax website retails for $50.00. But look at their facility! This place would have to be knocked to the ground and rebuilt to offer that type of service! Here's the best part about it. You know how you tip the person on the way out? Well, that's really not a tip. I have actually witnessed them take that 5 gallon bucket, count it in front of me as I was waiting in the office, strap all those bills together, and put it in a bank deposit bag and actually put in the car and drive off (hopefully to a bank!!!!) So I no longer tip, because thats how they are increasing their bottom line!!!! Uh Oh I let the cat out of the bag!!!!!! read more

This is the worst car wash, staff is unpleasant, they only smile when they want you to sign in, once you are member take you money right away, don't answer the phone and if they do and you tell the staff you canceling that person start yelling on you threatening, it's a nightmare, you try explain you don't like how you car was wash it they get nasty. A great car wash! We have a problem with our trunk where the water gets in and the guys here were super helpful and pleasant. They got towels to stick in the trunk and then helped to vacuum out the water. The wash was great and reasonably priced. Highly recommend this car wash!! read more

I ordered "the works" Don't even know if I got it. There were multiple lines and you self-pick a package and pay with a credit card. There were other people in other lanes driving into the car wash. The guy hosing water on my car didn't even confirm the package with me. He also only sprayed water on one side of the car. You stay in the car the entire time when the it's ran through. There are workers that wait outside to dry your car, which they literally spend two seconds. My car is still dripping wet when I went to vacuum the carpets. The vacuum machine is free with this package. The vacuum was very weak and wouldn't pick up anything. The exterior of the car is still dirty. This car wash was a complete waste of money. I feel like all they did was splash water and charged me $16.00. read more

DON'T GO THERE UNLESS YOU LIKE TO REWARD PEOPLE WHO DON'T VALUE YOU AS A CUSTOMER! Customer service not necessarily their strong suit unfortunately. Non existent actually and down right rude to be honest. I stopped in to discuss their unlimited car wash packages with them after I shopped around and found that they were charging about 12/mo more on their top package than another car wash in the area for the same exact wash. Since I liked their location and it was convenient for me I asked what I thought to be a fair question which was, if they could do anything better on their top plan. I mean their washes are good but not almost $150 more per year good. I was told, by whom I can only assume was the manager or owner, to have a nice day and get out. They were quite upset and just kept telling me to leave. I was told they have 1000 members and that they don't need my business, get out. Then the manager's little minion who was also in the office just told me to go to the other place and leave. Here's the thing, they can choose to run their business any way they'd like and it's certainly their right not to give me a better deal, which I totally would have respected, just like it's my right to not give them my hard earned money. Unfortunately they didn't leave it at that. So not only did they lose a few hundred dollars worth of business because I would have signed up all 4 of my cars but now I'm going to their competitor and instead of being polite about it they've created ill will and bad word of mouth. Paid for top of the line wash wax, undercarriage etc , none applied . They only hand spray one side of your car since it would be such a effort to actually walk arround to the passenger side .Rude guy says i could run it thru again but i just waited a hour trapped while they fix eda hose . I wasn't looking to stay another hour .No management to refund the difference , rude guy says you can see the owner Monday morning like i have nothing to do Monday morning .
