Coughed up some money for their most expensive wash as my car was covered in slush and salt after driving through snowy conditions from Kentucky. I would say they washed the car pretty heavily and thoroughly. However you can tell that some of their brushes are a bit aged and not as effective as more modern washes. I live near a very new wash with strong brushes made out of fibers that won't damage your car. These ones here were older and not as effective. It did the job though. After the drying there are a bunch of guys who wipe down your car which is nice because the dryers don't fully dry it. I gave them tip because it looked like it was expected. Stay Away!!! First the good part, the Boonton facility does an excellent job no matter what level of wash you select. Now for bad, when you sign up for any of the monthly plans and try to cancel, it's next to impossible to get a refund for the unused month. Misty, as she calls herself, sends you an e-mail stating your membership has been canceled but the monthly charge will continue. When you get lucky enough to speak with her she promises to refund your method of payment within three business days. Never happens. I had to contact my credit card company and file a disputed charge to get them to stop. Some advice...find another car wash. read more

This place is good and very reasonable. If you go for the lower level of clean you can do so for under $10. They also have other options for bigger spenders that include the full Monty of cleaning (tires, undercarriage, laser hair removal... Ok no laser hair removal) Your car will look great. Also, and this is the very best part, you get to sit in your car as it goes through the machine! If you're in the mood for cheap thrill, then you found it. I have been going about once every two months for a few years now. (Sometimes more often to remove road salts during these horrible winters. At that point I do go for the higher level package to include the undercarriage cleaning.) I have found the quality to be largely consistent. If it is very busy however, the men who dry the car at the end maybe hurried and they not be able to do as good a job drying. But that is true anywhere. It's a good place. It's a little overpriced starting at 10$ for the basics. But if things are slow, you can get pretty good customer service. The biggest problem is that their schedule is so erratic. It's impossible to tell when they're open (not 8AM-6PM) as written on their website. Call ahead if you want to go. read more

I have been a customer at the Boonton Express Carwash for 4 years now and never had one issue. I noticed there was a mark on the hood of my car, and the owner Tommy took care of me right away and had the entire hood compounded and waxed. I go here at least once a week, most times twice a week. It's exterior only but the monthly unlimited is great. My car is always clean and shiny and no need to worry about rotting out the bottom with road salt because of the undercarriage wash option. They use lots of soap, polish etc and the guys are all nice. Highly recommend for exterior only! read more

Predatory business practice. Made the mistake of signing up for the unlimited car wash for $20 for one month. Apparently that meant I was supposed to pay $30/month after that, even if I never used it again. We last used the car wash last December, same month I signed up. Since then, they've been charging us. We never got a sticker on the inside of our windshield, didn't use the car wash this calendar year, and when we discovered months ago that we were being charged, we called several times. Someone said they would cancel and refund us the money. That never happened. When we realized we were STILL getting charged this past month, it took another dozen phone calls to get through to a manager, who only said he would refund us for three months as if it was a favor, accidentally refunded us for more, then took THAT money out of our checking account after the fact. When I have time, I will be filing a report with the Better Business Bureau, and will make sure everyone knows to avoid this place, and NEVER sign up for the unlimited wash! read more

Poor service!!! They need more crew at least at the front where people pay and get in to the car wash area. I had a bad experience where I purchased an unlimited car wash but my receipt did not printout and so I told the service crew I paid for unlimited. He gave me an attitude as if I don't know that the receipt was in there. Such a sarcastic asshole!! Then I could not hear what he is saying, then him being impatient started shouting at me and giving me orders!!! And never apologized for such an attitude and me apologizing for my inadequacy!!! Such poor service!!! Please train your staff to be more customer friendly!!! And you need to have another staff at the front please have two persons instead of one!!! I will never go back in here especially if I see the same staff person at the front of the car wash assisting! Harassing the customers who are paying for your service!!!! read more

This is a local car wash that is part of a chain. They are always courteous to me and accommodating. By that I mean, I pull up, pay, go through the wash, get toweled and I am done. I have never had an issue here. I like washing my car myself but I use this place as a convenience. I have used them many times over the years. For 15.00 you'd think they would clean the wheels. Starting with the first guy using the sprayer, he only did one side of the car. Never touched the wheels. Had to do it myself in front of the guys at the end. They did not speak English and therefore I could not help them understand. As I cleaned the wheels in front of them they asked me to move my car- no thought if helping me. Why did I pay 15.00 for that kind of terrible service? Will not be back. I've used mountain lakes car wash in the past and have been happy. Thought it might be a good idea to try the boonton guys since I live in town. Turns out it was a mistake. read more

Very disappointed! I opted for the $11.00 car wash because I wanted the wheels to be cleaned and hoped the rest of my small hatch back would get cleaner all around. Wrong! The wheels are not much cleaner than before the wash. The back of the car looked like the water and rags never even hit it! The lower part of the doors still covered with dirt. The attendant never even looked at my ticket. I'm pretty sure I only got the cheapest car wash, but for how "clean" my car was, even $8.00 is way too much! read more

Honestly I was disappointed with this place. I did the ultimate wash for $20 and they don't even do interior. You have to do it yourself. On the contrary, they did a good job on the exterior, but you have to pay $1 for 4 minutes to do the vacuum yourself. I couldn't even reach the other side of my car and there isn't even enough space to turn your car around to the other side. Nobody has time for that! Honestly go to a place that does interior wash to save you one and money. read more

I found this place to do the trick on a variety of levels - good location, right off the highway; not crowded; easy to select and pay; highly economical against the metro I came from; fast, simple wash; hand dried the car - easy out. I have been using this car wash since it opened. I used to think it was great. Lately, not so much! They have added two pay yourself kiosks, which are a pain. With two lanes now when it is busy it is quite chaotic. I' m afraid their investment in these kiosks has come at the expense of properly maintaining the car washing machinery. Since the kiosks were installed EVERY time I have gone there at least one piece of the equipment was not working ( brushes not turning, etc.). To top it off when you pull out for the guys to dry off your car that will almost inevitably be done with dirty towels. Yesterday when I went through, one of the major brushes that cleans the passenger side was not spinning at all( last visit it was one of the driver side brushes not spinning), and after my car was dried off (with an already dirty towel) my windshield was dirtier than when I pulled in. Very disappointed!! The new kiosks may have increased their volume potential, but I'm afraid it has come at the expense of getting the nice wash one used to get here. I'll be looking for a new car wash. read more
