Attempted to go in and buy some beer - i have heard great things about it. Sadly, never got in. Parking lot was a mess, and the lady running the lot was incredibly rude to us. She gave us directions to park at a remote lot and take a bus there - then asked if we were listening because "a lot of people don't listen". Absolutely rude and uncalled for. Let me start by saying I have been a seasonal renter on Freeman Ave for the past 40 years. The neighborhood was always quiet and everyone was respectful of one another. We enjoyed Horizon's and later the Drunken Seal with a nice time out. The neighborhood was quiet and all patrons respected the local property owners and renters. This week while on vacation, 4 doors down from the Treehouse, my family experienced rude, inconsiderate and disrespectful people. Our personal property on the beach was tampered with as well as our neighbors. The owners of the Treehouse need to remind their customers that this is a residential neighborhood and they should show consideration to those who live here. read more

Amazing local beer with a view of the ocean??? SIGN ME UP. I went here when visiting family. This brewery is located in cape cod right on the water so you can enjoy your delicious hazy IPA, stout or sour while overlooking the ocean! They also had cocktails and a pizza truck. Some of the best beers I've ever had in my adult life! Literally never fails and always amazing! First time visiting this location and honestly, during my entire trip to cape cod, I came here every day for a couple of hours to enjoy their draught selection as I only get to enjoy their cans. The location, you gotta be kidding me! GORGEOUS! The building, the deck, the patio area, absolutely charming! I ordered a well done pepperoni pizza with hot honey, I'm still thinking about it! It was so so good! My last day on my trip, I ordered a case to bring back home. On their site, it does seem pick up times are very strict. But I checked in with them at the door, they were super friendly. I told them I was going to hang out for a bit to grab some draught beers, they told me no worry, they'll hold on to the beer. Drive over bridge. Park. Go on Treehouse website and order a case and a half. Drive to that beautiful spot. (Cannot wait to go in but only open for pick up on May 31.) Their employees deliver to my SUV. And I get to look at the lovely view. Drive to Chatham cottage. Now we are ready for June! Easy peasy. The Treehouse crew members are very nice too. Tree House Brewing Company is a craft brewery that opened in Brimfield, Massachusetts in 2011. It was founded by friends Dean Rohan, Nate Lanier and Damien Goudreau. The trio started out as homebrewers around 2008 and would make beer in Lanier's kitchen. They opened their brewery in a small red barn on a 2.7 acre farm in Brimfield. They named it "Tree House" after an actual tree house that sat on the property. The partners sold beer strictly via growler fills and their popularity grew at an alarming rate simply by word of mouth. Following some zoning disputes, Tree House moved to a large red shed on Koran Farm (owned by the family of one of the founders) in nearby Monson in December 2013. In June 2015, they opened a larger facility across the street which expanded their capacity six-fold and they now had a canning line. In May 2017, Tree House opened a 53,000 square foot state-of-the-art brewing facility in Charlton. The Monson facility closed to the public but continued to be used as their barrel-aging facility. In addition to their home base in Charlton, Tree House now has secondary locations in South Deerfield (Western Mass), Sandwich (Cape Cod), Tewksbury (Greater Boston), a farm and fermentory in Woodstock (CT), and there are plans to open a new facility in Saratoga Springs (NY). In addition to making beer, they also now have distillery, coffee roastery operations, and wood-fired pizza at two locations. My family and I visited Tree House's Cape Cod Taproom in Sandwich this past August during our week-long trip to the Cape. This newer location has only been open since October 2021. The building was previously a restaurant space and is located right by Town Neck Beach and the entrance to the Cape Cod Canal from Cape Cod Bay. We arrived right when they opened and were able to get a parking spot. On-site parking is very limited, but there is also off-site parking nearby with a free shuttle service. One thing that should be noted is that this is easily the smallest Tree House location. They can only accommodate a limited amount of customers at any given time. That being said, the place was beautiful: spectacular views of the beach and Cape Cod Bay! Customers can sit at a table inside the taproom or grab an Adirondack chair outside and enjoy the beautiful scenery. My family and I sat outside and I enjoyed some delicious draught pours of "Doubleganger Mango" and "The Greenest Green" (both Double IPAs). If beer isn't your thing, there's also an airstream bar outside that serves craft cocktails. Unlike some Tree House locations that serve wood-fired pizza, the Sandwich location serves delicious lobster rolls! We had a fun visit to Tree House Cape Cod and look forward to visiting again on future trips to the Cape! read more

Absolutely stunning. Amazing beer in the most perfect location...how could it get any better?! To get in, you have to reserve a time slot ahead of time through their website. Here you can also order ahead for can pick up. Or, get some pours and enjoy your stay before heading home with your preordered cans. Personally, I can never visit Tree House without bringing home at least some cans. Their process is seamless, just like any other location. You cannot bring your beer to the beach area but do not fret-- the views from the place itself are so great that you'll feel like you're on the beach anyway. They have chips and sandwiches available for purchase but you can also bring in your own snacks if you so desire. I cannot wait to come back here, by far my favorite Tree House location & definitely my favorite brewery location of all time. It cannot be beat! read more

Absolutely gorgeous new Treehouse location located right on the beach in Sandwich, MA! Fun fact, my grandparents used to have a house just down the road so I spent almost every summer in the area growing up. If only we had that place today, I would be here everyday! As big fans of Treehouse already, we knew we had to stop here on our annual Cape Cod trip. In May 2022, they require reservations online where you buy beer tickets in advance. PLENTY of indoor and outdoor seating here from picnic tables to adirondack chairs. They are dog friendly outdoors as well with many people drinking with their furry friends! They have some snacks available from a local deli but you can also bring your own food (may I suggest Seafood Sam's just down the road?). Overall, great experience and love what they did with this old building. Incredible views and brews. Can't wait to come back! read more

First of all the vibe in the place is fantastic and the views are outstanding. The number one issue for this place is the parking. There are only 10 or 11 spots available on site for free then you're forced to either pay $20 to park in the town lot next to it or park about a mile away and walk to the Brewery. Apparently there is a shuttle, but we did not see any signs for a shuttle or any parking for a shuttle. The pizza is disorganized to say the least. When we ordered it said 15-25 minutes. We waited over 60 minutes. Pizza is great. Wish it would have said that it would take over an hour from the beginning. Every beer is good beer. Very tasty and delicious. You can't go wrong with any beer!! I feel it's worth a visit to sit on the beach and overlook the bay while having some drinks and pizza. The place needs to be more transparent with their website. Tell everyone it's $20 to park on site. The pictures on the website are for the 6 "to go" parking spots. Tell everyone you can shuttle and how to use the shuttle. Not just a chalkboard sign at the entrance AFTER you have parked and walked. Pizza place times need to be accurate. read more

Great beer. Great location. Not your typical brewery as it looks more like a Crate and Barrel. They have a ticket system which can be frustrating if you want to drink less than two beers. They also dont let you do a small taste pour and instead pour you a whole beer and ask you to bring it back if you don't like it. If you're not white you may feel uncomfortable here, not because of the staff but rather the patrons. It's a place that caters to very traditional cape cod which is white and wealthy. If you dont fit the mold the patrons aren't afraid to stare. Nothing worse than that has happened but definitely something to be aware of. read more

This is a perfect location for a brewery outlet! The views are great and this Treehouse Brewery location is right at the Cape Canal. The Treehouse team must have reclaimed a former building, and they did a good job. There is a definite need to reserve ahead on all but the most off-peak times. The beer is awesome, and we enjoyed a couple of drafts and then brought some home from the retail area. We received good service in the taproom and in the store. I love Tree House, and this spot is no different from the others. It's particularly gorgeous with the ocean view. They have two floors indoors, a deck to sit on, as well as an outdoor area with tables and food. The beer was fantastic, as always. Tons of options with some really good IPAs. The staff behind the bar were very friendly and happy to make recommendations. We also got pizza, which was so delicious. It took a long time to come out and had a long line, but if you're willing to wait, it's amazing pizza. The only real downside of this location is the parking. There essentially is none. You can park in the beach lot next to it (if it's not full) for $20, but that's not ideal. It would be great if they gave more info on where you can park and if there's a shuttle (which I vaguely heard about but don't know if it exists). read more

Ambiance was beautiful both inside and outside space. The view of the water is beautiful. However the parking for this place is not adequate. Not sure the brewery's capacity but they only have parking for less than 100 people. It does say on their website not to park on the street however there are no other options. We no sooner got our beer and we had to leave with about 50 other people to move our car. No other parking was available so we had to leave our beers behind. Others had to leave too. Poor planning for such a beautiful place. I would not recommend going to this brewery during the busy summer months or weekends. It's too bad because they have great beer. read more

Can not beat location. Town Neck beach in Sandwhich at the end of the canal. 1st beach parking lot is available, but fills up fast. If you do not get in the lot you go down the road to the public parking lot. They say there is a shuttle, but wasn't running during our visit. 0.6 mile walk. On a beautiful day or night it's not bad. You do have to pre buy your pours online. We went Sat of Memorial Day weekend and it seems there were plenty available. You check in with a QR code, get a wrist band and drink tickets. 2 bars, upstairs and main level. Also the airstream outside had cocktails. They closed the lower bar earlier, seemed to cause a rush and long line upstairs. Only time there was a line. Also closed the airstream early. Everyone is helpful and friendly. Don't count on the food trucks, they ran out of pretty much everything. Were taking too many orders and refunding people for not being able to get to their order. Beer is great and lots of choices. Many have a high alcohol content so pay attention . Deck, outdoor area, chairs, picnic tables. Perfect Cape stop. Accessibility wise it's typical crushed sea shells, wheels may have a hard time. Also not sure you would be able to get to the second level. Indoor seating on the first floor would be your best bet. Lots of doggies, looks like water bowls provided. And you can walk down on the beach but can't bring drinks down there. Great stop for drinks before or after heading out for some seafood. read more

The view is gorgeous and the beers are amazing but the experience there is stressful and not clear. I don't understand why you have to specify your time ahead of going and that "selling out" means that 75% of the seating area is unoccupied. Also don't love that you are required to have two drinks per person, especially due to a high alcohol content. We'll order beers to go next time. read more

Heading off Cape midweek I decided to stop into treehouse brewing. Walked upstairs, went to the little counter and ordered a beverage. Service was good, beverage was good. I asked the bartender how do you order food. He said you do it from a kiosk around the corner. So I went to the kiosk there's a big sign and it says "current wait for pizza 30 minutes". Perfect, I have about an hour to kill for lunch. Timing will be good. So I sit on the outside patio and wait for my food. And wait and wait and wait. After about 50 minutes, I walked downstairs figuring maybe I missed something. Thrres a big sign that says do not ask the crew about times. But there was no way I was walking back up and waiting in the bar line to ask, and the lady at the counter asked me if she could help me.. So I said, can you tell me how long for my order? to which the man working miserably replied "at least 15 more minutes". 18 minutes later I got my pizza. One hour and eight minutes to get a pizza at 2 o'clock on a weekday . So I took the pizza in the little cardboard plate that it comes in and ate it in my car on my way back to work. I'm actually it was a pretty good pizza. Unfortunately, I'll never go back and wait for it again. And I don't need the attitude from the staff when I ask why my order is taking over twice as long as the big sign said it would. Because if the sign said 60 minutes, I wouldn't have ordered lunch! read more

Tree House has a winning combination of beer and process. It's no wonder they are so successful right now, and continuing in their momentum (hooray for the future Tewksbury site!). Obviously their processes aren't appreciated by all. If you're going for your first time, do your homework, and all will be well. The staff are incredibly friendly, and you will have at least a dozen beer options, maybe more. I was pleasantly surprised to find a selection of distilled products available as well. And then there's the view. They are certainly ready for the warmer weather, too, with that army of picnic tables on the east side of the building. I was very happy with the selection of stouts that were available during my visit, and look forward to trying more varieties at more locations in the future. read more
