But since this is the health of our fur babies on the line Id like to share my experience if you are considering Oz Animal Hospital to bring your cat to. Back in August 2025, Vets at Oz animal hospital told me my 8 year old cat Willow had fluid building up around her heart and around her stomach. They urged me to rush her to the ER. I did so and spent 14 hours in the ER with willow. Where we ran every test imaginable to find there was not fluid building in any part of her and the fluid around her stomach was FAT. Yes fat. Willow was about 12 pounds at the time but are you serious? She had other things going on so the ER ended up working out for willow but, we started in a very wrong direction after Oz had led us to check her heart and abdomen for fluid first. I spent close to 5K that day. Oz called to do a check on willow a few days later and i explained that the findings from their male vet ( i don't know his name) were very off and led me and the ER to believe my cat was in immediate life threatening danger. They said they would call me back. I never heard back. Still i returned to Oz animal hospital. asking to not see the same vet. Where i came across another vet and although her kindness and care was visible she told me she was scared willow was going to go into HEART FAILURE and that she had fluid in her lungs. As a student who ran out care credit i simply couldn't afford the ER fees on top of taking willow to a specialist. so despite her urging me to take willow to the ER something told me not yet and we scheduled an appointment at VSC for 2 days later. I stayed with willow those 2 days monitoring her behavior and having everyone in the family check on her. At VSC they explained willow was definitely not going into heart failure and she definitely doesn't have fluid in her lungs. Oz had also tried to urge me to give willow an injection medicine that would've drained the fluid but it's damaging to kidneys. Being that there was NO FLUID?? i don't even know what i would've put her through just for the wrong diagnosis. This time I called Oz and explained the entire situation AGAIN. Not putting my frustration on the nice workers at the front desk and asking for a manager to call me back. No one ever called back. I now ask how can this place can have 2 different Vets tell me my cat was going to basically die and i needed to rush her to the ER and spend thousands of dollars for them to be WRONG. Like very wrong. Both times. I get no one is perfect and they aren't specialist. But if your doctors are so unsure that their only aid is to push you off to another place of care for your pet. Why even go here in the first place? I share so when thinking of bringing your cats here and if they tell you your cat is going to die, go into heart failure or stop breathing please get a second opinion ( I hope you don't have to pay a million dollars for that cause I did) or just avoid their opinion in general. Willow has a new primary :) and we will not be coming back. Everyone here was very kind tho. I just wouldn't trust their medical advice. I had to bring in my Meowth, who was 12 years old with chronic kidney disease that was diagnosed a couple of years ago. He lost a bunch of weight and didn't really eat well for a few days. I naively thought that he didn't like the wet food I bought so I purchased another brand to see if he would eat. Little did I know that I was too late to save his life. He was admitted to the hospital at 10pm ish on a Monday evening and we were there until 3am the next day. We were assigned a room and the assistant performed the intake immediately. After that, the wait was long; hence, I had to deduct one star for this review. Nevertheless, once it was our turn, the vet on duty told us the blood work was necessary and then we were just patiently waiting for the results and were wondering how Meowth was doing. Everyone was compassionate and kind. The lobby had coffee, tea, and vending machines selling snacks and pops. It turned out that Meowth had to be on a watch for another day and would be receiving the rehydration treatment and ultrasound. I knew some bills definitely would need to be paid. The good thing was an itemized bill would always be provided for me to review, so I understood what each treatment or medicine cost. Doctor Pratt spoke to me on the phone in the afternoon and patiently explained the results from the ultrasound. As I guessed, they didn't look promising. Doctor Pratt answered all my questions and it helped make the decision for Meowth. We picked up Meowth after work. Medicine and discharge instructions were given. In addition, resources for euthanasia were handed to me. Unfortunately, I ended up choosing in-home euthanasia for Meowth the following day so that the entire family, including his feline bonding mate, Persian, could witness and perhaps have some closure. I didn't know Meowth developed an aggressive form of carcinoma in a such short amount of time. Doctor Pratt informed me the affected area and told me the life expectancy after chemotherapy if I were to elect that route. I really appreciated her honesty. At least I gained clarity on Meowth's conditions and I wanted to do what was best for him. I know this is an unusual review with lack of happiness. In the end, I am beyond grateful for the 24-hour service that "Premier Veterinary Group" offers. I still have the other cat with me and I do hope that things will be less tragic when it comes to health emergency on a pet. However, I will not hesitate to visit here again for any concern about my cat, especially when an appointment with my regular vet office is unavailable.

Premier had the best availability, was close to home, and came highly recommended by friends. I'm not going to lie, specialists and emergency vets aren't cheap. We first saw a specialist who said there was a 50/50 chance we could remove the carcinoma. If we good, Mel had years ahead of them. If they couldn't, it was more like months. When I dropped Mel off, the veterinary assistant collected my info and asked if he could have a photoshoot. As expected Mel charmed the pants off everyone and his photoshoot was more than I could've imagined. Unfortunately, the surgery revealed that his cancer was advanced and everywhere. When we took him home, they noted all of the ways he tried to con them into removing his cone and truly seemed enamored with him. Over the holidays, we knew the end was close and had scheduled an at home euthanasia for New Year's Day. Unfortunately Mel's little body had other plans. He started crashing NYE morning, so we called them to tell them we were coming. They started an IV and let me hold him in my arms while we said goodbye. They gave us options as to how present we wanted to be during the process and never once rushed us. They didn't bat an eye when I came in disheveled and crying. A few days later they called to check on us and sent a sympathy card. Losing a pet is like losing a family member. I'm grateful they did all they good to make it as stress free as possible.

I was very clear at the time of scheduling the appointment that the cats have a long history of health problems and we need a vet who has a lot of experience to take over their care. They told me that the appointment is with Dr. Kung but when we arrived we were seen by Dr. Ryan who is a recent graduate with less than one year of experience. The doctor was unable to handle my cats properly and do a proper exam due to the cats being nervous and trying to escape so no proper exam was done. Then they took them for bloodwork and urine in their cat stroller and gave them back to me soaked in piss and extremely distressed. The entire stroller was soaked in urine. Dr. Ryan wasn't sure which cat had pissed himself but she assumed that it was Gumbo. Not sure based on what she assumed that. When the technician was removing the bandage from Gumbo's leg she asked me to hold his head because he already tried to bite her. Gumbo has never tried to bite veterinary staff so that made me question how they handled my cats in order to make them piss themselves and try to bite them. Later that day I called and wanted to file a complaint on a corporate level. The clinic manager called me and apologized for the situation. Said that she will investigate what happened and assured me that urine was collected from both cats because I didn't believe that if a cat pisses himself he would have any urine for collecting. Today, I was going over the medical records because one of my cats needs to see a vet again and I just realized that in the other cat's (Oliver) medical record it clearly stated that he is the one who pissed himself in the carrier which contradicts what dr. Ryan and the manager told me that it was Gumbo. The medical record goes on to say that Oliver's urine sample was collected from the stroller where he pissed himself. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? This is a seven year old stroller that has never been washed and the cats have been using it as a cat bed for years. I only wash the blanket inside but not the entire stroller. This urine is totally contaminated and useless! I am also wondering how they collected the urine from the stroller considering that the stroller has a wool blanked and this blanket must've absorbed the urine. They blatantly lied to me, didn't know which cat urinated himself, collected urine from a dirty seven year old stroller. Please so not trust them with your pets at any cost or if you do, do not allow blood, urine or any other procedure to be done without your presence! In my opinion this animal hospital needs to be shut down. I am completely shocked!

Everyone seemed so caring and was so helpful. We had a pretty bad scare with my dog and like any family, we didn't know how severe it was going to be but Sploot made us feel comfortable and confident our dog was going to be taken care of. We even showed up a bit too early and they still took us in to help out as soon as possible! When that happened... I was like I HAVE to write a wonderful review.
