Horrible execution. Movers came and took one hour to get a quote. Stood around punching the calculator and called the office numerous times to get a price. I was in a hurry and they didn't do anything to accommodate it. Ended up moving just a very few pieces and charged me the "minimum" rate of $600. Such a rip. I ended up using a second mover to finish up. The owner or dispatcher told me he would drop my items in the middle of the street if the receiving location was closed or not available to receive. What a rude piece of shit. Such a bs experience I am still amazed at their fumbling. read more

Thank you Arthur and Boris for all of your hard work! I received the quote within a few minutes of requesting it on Yelp. They were transparent with their pricing. There were no hidden fees. Prior to the date, there were text and phone reminders. On moving day, I got a call confirming they were on the way and estimating when they'd arrive. I was not as packed as I needed to be and just feeling pretty overwhelmed. Arthur had such a reassuring, calming manner. They're professionals; they do this all the time and my mountain of stuff was completely manageable from their perspective. This really lowered my anxiety. The whole time, I could see they were working hard and being efficient with the time. They handled my boxes with care. They packed the wardrobe boxes then hung all my clothes in my new closet. All of my furniture was covered with blankets and shrink wrapped. I asked them to take out my curtain rod holders because I don't have a drill, and they did and put them together so they wouldn't be lost. And the end of the story is my move is complete. All of my stuff made it in great shape! Even my planters didn't have a chip or a crack. My mattress was dirt free. My dishes didn't break. It was great! Here's the thing though - take it from me - just stop calling and getting quotes and worrying. Call Trek Movers and they will handle it all! My first contact with Joe Thomas was excellent. He explained rates and all the other assorted issues regarding the move and we set it up. He followed up with an email. All was well. Except... Our realtor had given us the wrong date for the move! I called Joe, really worried, and he instantly calmed me down and was able to move the date. Two days before moving day I received a confirmation email and I got a phone call the day before confirming again. All this communication was wonderful and is so rare in this day and age. I was very impressed. It put my heart at ease. The day of the move our foreman, Sergei, texted that he was on his way (30 minutes before arriving right on time). 2 trucks and 3 guys arrived and I realized I should have asked for 4 movers with all our stuff. I called Joe, he said he'd do what he could despite it being the end of the month. Somehow, due to Joe's assistance, we had another mover in an hour! It felt miraculous. Each of the young men who came was hard working and polite. The move took eleven hours and never, not once, did they slow down or complain. We were amazed at what great guys they were. Nothing was broken - everything well wrapped and carefully loaded and unloaded. After the move Joe contacted me to make sure everything went well. It did - and far beyond my high expectations. Moreover, the price was right and there were zero hidden charges. From beginning to end everything about Trek Movers was excellent. I can't recommend them more highly. Had a great experience with Trek. They were a bit pricey compared to some competitors, but in my opinion it was worth it. Service agent was responsive and appointment was easy to set up, also they have a helpful online portal for confirming your inventory pre-move. Their pricing is honest and straight forward, you just need to understand how double drive time is calculated. I paid cash and was able to secure lower rate. My move only required two guys, Tim and Ryan. They both had awesome attitudes, responsive to feedback, hustled and didn't waste any time - this right here is why I think Trek's higher rates are worth it. I can't really comment on their COVID procedures. They didn't wear masks for the move, but I didn't request them to and I kept my distance so didn't feel a need. I'm sure they have masks and would wear them if I had requested. (Manual labor while wearing a mask seems very unpleasant, but I understand everyone has different feelings here).
