Chicken orzo

Can't say I didn't give this place a chance but it's not good and it's just not for my taste buds. Service was super slow, like 25 minutes I waited for my meal although the wait staff were friendly. I was ready to walk out to be honest when I saw the table next to me who came after me get their order first. Now, I ordered the lomo saltado hoping it is better than the horrible pork chops I ordered before.. but this was not good either. The sauce was so SOUR. I didn't expect it to taste Iike Peruvian lomo but this had too much tomatoes and the sauce was just not good. This will be my last time eating here, sadly. The 2 times I've been in within the last 3 weeks does not warrant that I should give it another try. See my before and after photo of the lomo... I ate as much as I could because I was starving but did not enjoy it.

I had a feta/spinach omelette with a side of bacon and avocado!

Had a great breakfast this morning at Trellis! We haven't been since the new owners took over a few months back, but we were very pleased with the service, the food and the affordability. Heads up to anyone Gluten Free in the area, this is the diner for you! They are offering GF options for almost everything, like pancakes, French toast, and oatmeal. I was so pleased with their health conscious menu, too. They use fresh vegetables and even have a quinoa salad. We also ordered a smoothie and picked whatever we wanted to go in it from their fruits and vegetables. We were really impressed by the menu and definitely will be coming back for lunch. I did the "build your own omelette" and my boyfriend had the omelette special today which was a southwestern (peppers, onions, avocado, cheddar cheese, bacon) with salsa and sour cream on the side. We loved it all and his whole plate with home fries and toast was only $7. I think mine was likely less because the build you own option starts with a plain omelette at $4. Really affordable, yet still good quality.

The restaurant

Very disappointing, I ordered a very specific dish with a well cooked steak, and the order was wrong and the steak they provided which wasn't even the type I ordered was under cooked. As I went back to the restaurant to correct their mistake, the manager argued with me about how my wife asked for the wrong menu item, when we order lunch from here every day. The service was appalling and the food was no better.

Best Ecuadorian food in Danbury! Coming from the west coast I wasn't expecting to find any good Latin American food but Trellis almuerzo was to die for!!! Affordable price for the huge amount of food I got. Will definitely be coming back before my trip ends!

Wow! Best omelette in town!

First let me start off by saying I love this place! It's been under new management for the last 5 months and you can taste the difference! Everything is fresh, the service is superb and they will make your order anyway you'd like. I've been here three times this week and can't wait to come back.

Encebollado de pescado/ bandeja Paisa / chuletas con arroz y habichuelas. The rice and beans were good BUT a bit on the cold side.

Stopped in to have some breakfast last weekend and the waitress said they weren't serving Americans. We left and will never return.

Solid diner food, wonderful waitress! Not bad for a quick bite. Don't look for any fancy cuisine though!

The (breakfast) food is very good, but the coffee is well-nigh undrinkable. It's a problem.

Small breakfast and lunch shop. Average menu, OK service, and they almost always get the order right.

UPDATE: 5/28/26 We…read morereturned a few days later for another visit for breakfast. As I anticipated, we were not disappointed as the food and service were once again worthy of five stars. However, I would like to make a friendly suggestion regarding menu changes & prices. After placing our orders and submitting payment I was presented with the receipt which showed one of the items was charged $3 more than what was indicated on the menu. When brought to the attention of the cashier I was told that some of the menu items have been increased in price. While I can readily understand that in this fragile economy, I feel that there are better ways to deal with that. 1. Indicate the changes on all the menus by attaching a note to them showing the new prices until new menus are printed. 2. Create a list near the checkouts so the cashiers can inform the diners of the recent increase if one of them was chosen. 3. Place a sign near the check-out with a list of those changes. 4. Place placards on the tables indicating the changes. Any one of those would clarify the situation, which would: 1. Inform the diners that a price for French Toast is reasonable at $11.50 but might not be so for some diners at $14.50 and would therefore have some influence on choosing it. 2. Preventing the line from backing up while the cashier gets approval from the manager to amend the check (which occurred in my case). The cashiers can also be instructed to ask the customer to return to his table while this is sorted out and a refund will be brought there. These are helpful suggestions and will not in any way prevent me from returning for the wonderful atmosphere and food.

Our first drinks were on the house...he was so excited to hear that we were married 60 years. Moved to a table for dinner. We had crab cakes as a second appetizer which were delicious as well as our seafood dinners. I had lobster with fettuccine and veggies. My husband had pasta seafood. Had just enough room for an Irish coffee and gelato. Service was fantastic! Can't say enough about our experience. Thanks for a wonderful evening!

Unfortunately, the experience quickly declined once our server arrived. They were dismissive, gave us uncomfortable looks, and their attitude made us feel unwelcome. The food was mediocre and not worth the price. Most dishes lacked flavor, especially the chicken wings, which had no seasoning at all. Throughout the meal, we were consistently overlooked by the staff. Despite being clearly visible, we had to repeatedly ask for assistance while employees stood nearby without offering help. What made the experience particularly upsetting was the sense that we were being treated differently based on our appearance. The behavior felt discriminatory and left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. Overall, I would not recommend this place. We barely ate and asked for the check early just so we could leave
