Complimentary chips and salsa were included. We inquired about a spicier salsa and she brought us another red, but with a kick. Ordered: Mango agua Fresca- large in size and very sweet! Seafood tacos meal with beans and rice- one tilapia fish taco one shrimp taco - both were delicious, and I enjoyed the sliced avocado with toppings over each taco. After a full day of traveling and being in a plane for hours, then driving from Vegas to Sedona for a few more hours, your girl was HANGRY. My friends and I originally planned to go to the Mexican restaurant across the street but it was packed. Looked across the street and saw Tres Amigos with several tables available and off we went. Went here for a burro before hiking on a Saturday afternoon. You walk in an order at the counter, they hand you a number, and they will bring it out to your table. Service was very quick and helpful. I ordered the carnitas burro which had rice, refried beans, onion, cilantro, and carnitas inside. It came with a spicy salsa and verde with pico and cabbage on the side. Everything was fresh. I came here for lunch two days in a row. Everything I've tried so far was good. I had asada burrito and pastor quesadilla. The portion was decent and the flavor was good. My friends liked their mole and tacos. I had Jamaica and it hit the spot right after the hike. I loved their chips too. The place could be busy but it's expected. I have been in Sedona for 3 days. Two of those days I've been here! I've traveled to Sedona many times but the last time was about 8 years ago. I was driving to the grocery store and saw Tres Amigos and decided to stop in. I got the chili Colorado burrito. It was outstanding! One of the best burritos I've ever had. The next day I thought why not stop in again. I got the Birria Tacos and they too were outstanding! These were the best Birria tacos I've ever had. Filled with beef, cheese... Amazing! The people were kind and friendly. I fear I'll gain 10lbs but that's okay, it's worth it. The hardest part is deciding what I want next. We stopped in Sedona for food after a long day of exploring the Grand Canyon and Tres Amigos had a lot of positive reviews and boy were all of those reviews deserved! Not only were we able to order immediately, despite it being a holiday weekend, we were served at our table, and the owner stopped by several times to chat with us and ask us about the food. It was charming and we were able to praise him for the amazing dishes we'd ordered! My sister got birrias tacos and I got a shrimp burrito. When I tell you I have never had shrimp that good I am not kidding. It was fire roasted first with spices, then put in a burrito full of flavour. We all got bites of the birria tacos and they were BURSTING with juicy meat and fried to perfection. I can't even remember what my other sister ordered because I was just so laser focused on my delicious shrimp burrito. Do NOT miss this place if you're in Sedona! The staff are fantastic! Attentive and helpful. The food is average though. The chips were made from flour tortillas which is odd. The mole has more flavor than any other food we tried. The fajitas were meh. Just being super honest. We don't realize how hard it was to find a place to eat and didn't have reservations anywhere which left us with virtually no choices. Dropped by here while we were in town and I believe we've found our favorite Mexican restaurant in Sedona! Nothing fancy, but their food is delicious! We drove by this place a couple times on our weekend here and it was hopping. We came in at 5 pm on a Saturday and the place was empty. We hiked 17 miles and were hungry and wanting to go to bed but wanted food!! We didn't realize this is a counter service situation. Hubby had a red & green enchilada plate and I had 2 green chicken enchiladas. Notable: chips and salsa that come with the food were a surprise but not worth discussing. The ENCHILADAS!! It's NOT just a couple of corn tortillas wrapping skinny shredded chicken with a bland sauce. The chicken was stuffed, flavorful & great. Enchiladas were topped with cojito, lettuce, red onions, and a nicely spicy sauce (green spice or red spice ) and served with a little "salad". If I lived here I would be a regular!! read more

All the good reviews are accurate. I'm from out of town and stopped in after a long day of hiking. The prices are fair, the service is impeccable, and the food is terrific. The burrito is the size of my forearm, packed with meat, guacamole, and beans, then comes with multiple salsas to try. The horchata was the best I've had in years. What struck me, maybe the most, was the chips. The chips are super crispy, but also fluffy. Probably the best chips I've ever had. Don't let the casual atmosphere turn you away. We ordered the quesabirrias and they did not disappoint: crispy, cheesy, and PACKED with rich, savory flavor that hit the spot. The consommé would have tasted better if it was a hotter temperature. The margaritas were another highlight. The original was smooth and refreshing, and the passionfruit margarita added a delicious tropical twist that made it stand out...loved the tajin rim! While the food and drinks were fantastic, there's still just a little room for that extra "wow" to make it a full 5 stars (ordering experience could be streamlined better if everyone didn't have to order at the counter first ) but overall, a solid place we'd gladly return to when in Sedona. As soon as we came in we had someone who opened the door for us and was very kind. We then ordered our food and we sat down only to be greeted with some of the best chips I have ever had. The salsa is seriously the best one I've ever had and we haven't even got our food yet. Randomly though, the same guy who served our chips and food and held the door open for us tried helping a family crossing the road! This guy is awesome! We then got our food in the speed of light and we started eating away. I got the taco plate and chose fish (16.99). It was the best $17 I have ever spent! Many restaurants have been in this location with poor results, however for the best Mexican food in Sedona, this is quickly becoming the spot. We used to go elsewhere and the food was nothing to bring us back and even poor at times. So ventured out to try something different and found that this little restaurant is serving some of the best Mexican food in the area. It's not "Americanized" and tastes more like Grandma made it... authentic and full of flavor. I love mole and they have one of the best I've had in a long time. Their burro's are very tasty and huge... as they should be. Chips are the most unique around and we've come to appreciate them over what every other place serves. Service is quite good and the staff friendly. This is now our local go-to for quality Mexican food... thank you all for doing such a good job with very tasty dishes!
