Amazing food! The best tortilla chips we've ever eaten. You order at counter and they bring food to your table so not fine dining but the food quality makes up for it.

Went here for a burro before hiking on a Saturday afternoon. You walk in an order at the counter, they hand you a number, and they will bring it out to your table. Service was very quick and helpful. I ordered the carnitas burro which had rice, refried beans, onion, cilantro, and carnitas inside. It came with a spicy salsa and verde with pico and cabbage on the side. Everything was fresh. Chips are super crunchy. Great casual spot to eat.

I came here for lunch two days in a row. Everything I've tried so far was good. I had asada burrito and pastor quesadilla. The portion was decent and the flavor was good. My friends liked their mole and tacos. I had Jamaica and it hit the spot right after the hike. I loved their chips too. The place could be busy but it's expected. Their price is reasonable as compared to other restaurants. They also have on site parking. Overall, it's a great place to grab a bite.

I came in with high expectations due to good Yelp reviews and this place lived up to them! I had a fish taco and a shrimp taco. Both were tender and tasty. My son had the birria tacos which were very good. The watermelon agua Fresca was sweet and refreshing. Prices were very reasonable compared to others in the area, especially for the quality and portion of food. Service was friendly. Plenty of seating. Pleasantly surprised in a good way.

I have been in Sedona for 3 days. Two of those days I've been here! I've traveled to Sedona many times but the last time was about 8 years ago. I was driving to the grocery store and saw Tres Amigos and decided to stop in. I got the chili Colorado burrito. It was outstanding! One of the best burritos I've ever had. The next day I thought why not stop in again. I got the Birria Tacos and they too were outstanding! These were the best Birria tacos I've ever had. Filled with beef, cheese... Amazing! The people were kind and friendly. I fear I'll gain 10lbs but that's okay, it's worth it. The hardest part is deciding what I want next. If you are in Sedona and craving incredible Mexican food, ya gotta try Tres Amigos!

Mind blowing Mexican food surrounded by equally mind blowing scenery! We stopped in Sedona for food after a long day of exploring the Grand Canyon and Tres Amigos had a lot of positive reviews and boy were all of those reviews deserved! Not only were we able to order immediately, despite it being a holiday weekend, we were served at our table, and the owner stopped by several times to chat with us and ask us about the food. It was charming and we were able to praise him for the amazing dishes we'd ordered! My sister got birrias tacos and I got a shrimp burrito. When I tell you I have never had shrimp that good I am not kidding. It was fire roasted first with spices, then put in a burrito full of flavour. We all got bites of the birria tacos and they were BURSTING with juicy meat and fried to perfection. I can't even remember what my other sister ordered because I was just so laser focused on my delicious shrimp burrito. Do NOT miss this place if you're in Sedona! Local or tourist you will walk away fed and happy!

The food was absolutely amazing and the service was great and quick. You go up and order at the desk and they bring it to your table. They serve chips and salsa for free as well. I had the Brea taco tacos and they were so good the meat was so tender and tasted amazing. My husband got the big trio and it is a very big portion for only $15.

Tres Amigos serves up excellent Mexican food with great service. It looks like just a fast food restaurant as you order at the counter but they bring food to the table, water and home made tortilla chips. All the workers were very friendly and quick service. Very reasonable prices for Sedona.

Carnitas burrito and quesobirria tacos. Excellent!

Dropped by here while we were in town and I believe we've found our favorite Mexican restaurant in Sedona! Nothing fancy, but their food is delicious! Generous portions and authentic flavor without being too salty. Their chips and salsa were good too. Friendly helpful staff, restaurant was clean. We highly recommend that you give them a try.

The staff are fantastic! Attentive and helpful. The food is average though. The chips were made from flour tortillas which is odd. The mole has more flavor than any other food we tried. The fajitas were meh. Just being super honest. We don't realize how hard it was to find a place to eat and didn't have reservations anywhere which left us with virtually no choices. Again, the staff are great but the food is lacking flavor.

Tres Amigos was BOMB! It's cute Mexicana Cocina vibes. They had a cute artsy market outside today! The service was amazing friendly, fast and fun! The CHILAQUILES were THE BEST I've EVER HAD! The quesabirria was fresh with the PERFECT CONSUME! Stop in grab a bite you won't regret it !

Margarita size compared to classic drink size

This place is awesome. Can they open one in my home town? Worth it! Margaritas were larger than expected and complimentary chips and salsa were pristine. Service top-notch. And my favorite vibe at a restaurant.

What an amazing time we had at this restaurant. My family and I came here because we had recommendations from locals and Tres Amigos did NOT disappoint. The flavors were fresh, the sizes/portions were perfect, the service was amazing, and the vibes inside were perfect music volume/people smiling. If you're looking for a great meal after a long hike like us and/or to really get your taste buds going, then this is definitely a perfect spot. Plates we had: - Wife - Carne Asada plate - 9/10 - Daughter - California burrito - 10/10 - Son - The Mayor - 9/10 - Myself - The Mayor - 9/10 Keep it up guys!!!

My friends tried the halibut, the brisket enchiladas, and the carne asada and all the sauces were very good. The chips and salsa was also very tasty. Strong drinks. I liked the sauce so much that I bought the chef's cookbooks that were on sale at the front desk. I love experimenting with recipes and excited to try to make my own sauces. Parking lot was full so we parked next door. We also made a reservation. Please come and create your own adventure.

I want to write this review in hopes of saving someone else from making the same mistake I did…read more I was incredibly excited to dine at Elote Café and managed to score a dinner reservation less than a week before my trip to Sedona, which is practically impossible if you've ever tried to get in. The anticipation was high, and unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the hype. For context, I'm from California and am accustomed to fresh, authentic Mexican food. To be fair, Elote Café does not claim to be authentic Mexican cuisine. If that's what you're looking for, this is not it. The menu leans much more toward a Tex-Mex/fusion style. Drinks The margaritas were fine. We requested Tajín rims, which they accommodated, but the presentation felt underwhelming for a restaurant of this reputation and price point. High-end cocktail programs typically include thoughtful touches--dried citrus, smoked cinnamon, herbs, or something that elevates the experience. These arrived as basic margaritas with salt and a lime wedge. Appetizers The complimentary chips and salsa were just okay. The salsa had an unexpected sweetness that didn't work for me. The famous Elote, however, absolutely deserves the praise. It was the best thing I ate all night--savory, balanced, and packed with flavor. Easily a 10/10. The guacamole was also excellent. No complaints there. Entrees The chicken enchiladas had flavorful chicken, but the green sauce was overwhelmingly tart and lacked the seasoning needed to balance that acidity. The shrimp and pork belly dish was disappointing. The pork belly was good, but there were only two very small pieces. The shrimp were underseasoned and lacked flavor. The carne asada was the biggest letdown of the night. It arrived covered in a red sauce that seemed to be attempting an enchilada-style sauce, topped with pickled onions and a slice of bleu cheese. While I appreciated the pickled onions, the bleu cheese felt like a strange addition to a carne asada dish. More importantly, despite being described as a prime cut skirt steak and cooked rare as requested, the meat was surprisingly tough. Rice&Beans The entrees came with rice and beans. The beans were acceptable, though nothing memorable. The rice, however, tasted like boxed or instant rice. At a restaurant where a dinner for four can easily approach $300, I expect better than something that tastes like it came from a pantry packet. It's a small detail, but details matter when a restaurant has built its reputation around being a must-visit dining destination. Dessert By this point we had no intention of ordering dessert, but we were celebrating a birthday and received a complimentary ice cream dessert. It was actually very good. The vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and caramel sauce all tasted house-made and had a rich dulce de leche flavor. Final Thoughts Our bill was nearly $300 for four people, and the overall experience simply wasn't worth the cost. Aside from the elote and guacamole, most dishes felt underseasoned, unbalanced, or failed to justify the restaurant's reputation. What puzzled me most was seeing several empty tables throughout service. Given how difficult reservations are to obtain, I expected the restaurant to be completely full. This is one of those restaurants where the hype far exceeds the reality. If you're worried about missing out, don't be. In my opinion, you're not.

Ok so I was so excited to go here. There is something really comforting about a tamale done right!…read moreThe glowing reviews and pictures seemed promising. The restaurant itself has a lot of character, it full of textures and colors, had a cute little fountain outside. It just feels homey and welcoming. The menu...is hella pricey for a tamale. I mean even with inflation these days I could get a tamale at most spots where I live for like half the price. I just told myself it's Sedona just except it lol so I went wild and got their extra special tamale with lots of topping to make it a more complete meal. I chose the chicken mole for my filling. I also got their dairy free horchata. First thing the horchata was delicious! Creamy, great texture, not to sweet, seasoned just right. Extra points for being dairy free as milk is not my bodies friend. The tamale however was a major let down. I was so close to just sending it back, but was on a time crunch and starving. The masa was so salty. The mole sauce was barely existent and had no complexity or flavor really. I didn't taste the chocolate or the Chile . Just blah. The toppings and horchata helped make it possible to consume despite the saltiness. So overpriced salty tamale gets 2 stars, ambiance 5, and horchata 5, which is why this place gets a three stars overall. I wanted to love this spot so bad, and maybe it was a bad day, or the wrong thing to get...but their name is literally tamaliza. Their tamale should have rocked my world.
