Many restaurants have been in this location with poor results, however for the best Mexican food in Sedona, this is quickly becoming the spot. We used to go elsewhere and the food was nothing to bring us back and even poor at times. So ventured out to try something different and found that this little restaurant is serving some of the best Mexican food in the area. It's not "Americanized" and tastes more like Grandma made it... authentic and full of flavor. I love mole and they have one of the best I've had in a long time. Their burro's are very tasty and huge... as they should be. Chips are the most unique around and we've come to appreciate them over what every other place serves. Service is quite good and the staff friendly. This is now our local go-to for quality Mexican food... thank you all for doing such a good job with very tasty dishes! This place appears to cater more to the local people and definitely beats most fancy restaurants in taste and price. The food here was amazing especially the carne asada plate. We ordered takeout from here while staying in Sedona and I'm so glad we did. I called in my order and went with three tacos: diablo shrimp, chicken, and nopal. They warned me the diablo shrimp was very spicy, which just made me want it more. The tacos were amazing. The shrimp was definitely spicy, but perfect if you like heat. We were craving fish tacos and decided to try this place. So glad we did! The staff is super friendly and the food is sooooooooo good! It's a casual place, so we didn't feel awkward in our hiking clothes. The jamaica aguas frescas were just sweet enough without being too sweet. The diabla sauce was delicious, but super spicy. This is a new restaurant so it doesn't have many reviews, but the ones we saw were enthusiastic. We took a chance; and , it turned out, all four of us each really liked what we ordered. As the reviews said, very authentic and rich in flavors. I am a fan of good mole, but it can vary a lot so I asked to if I could have a taste in advance. The owner obliged, and I loved his version. I had first tasted mole in Oaxaca and it turns out he is from Oaxaca so it's the real thing. We were first brought chips and salsa, and those were good. The food was OK, but certainly not great if a person knows good Mexican food. The portions were OK, but not what I'd call generous. The atmosphere was spartan and pretty typical of a fast food place. The Carnitas burrito "Burro" was pretty bland but made better with their spicy red sauce.
