Can't explain how did my pizza come out before my salad if a salad everything is already ready to put in a bowl. The pizza was greasy and salty that it gave us heart burn 2 hours after. It was also a bit over cooked bit that was the least of it all. The best thing was the cheese on the salad it was fresh and that was good. I was really hoping this to be great wood-fired neopolitan pizza especially since I live so close to the Arcadia location, but I have been there 5 times now. I've tried the white sausage, the margherita, the prosciutto and the double pepperoni pizzas they were dry, not fluffy and disappointing every single time. The prosciutto was like eating a dry salad. The white sausage I wanted to love so much that I got it twice, but It was thin and lack luster. I had to write this because I saw bar stool sports Dave Portnoy's great review and I was shocked. Hopefully all the attention will help them improve their pizza but until then, I currently give the pizza zero stars. *Not to mention the 10$ corking fee is excessive. I have been curious about this place for a while and I have been to two of their locations so far. The McDowell location does not have the famous pizza or cocktails since there is no kitchen. However, it is super dog friendly both indoor and outdoor, and they have nice patio seating with mists that are great for bigger groups. While we were browsing inside, we noticed signs saying ask the employee for a taste test of some products. We were not sure if it was free or how it would be so we tried, and it was AMAZING! The educator of the store immediately took us to the tasting station and helped us try out many different samples. He also educated us about the differences, histories, and origins of the liquors that we sampled. It was such an informative experience! And everything was free. I have also been to the Indian School location a few times, mostly hoping to get a seat at the dining area so I could try out the pizzas and cocktails. The first time was at around dinner on a Friday so it was impossible to get a seat unless we wanted to wait for almost two hours. The second time we asked for takeouts of two pizzas and an Italian sandwich. While we were waiting for the food, I had a cocktail, and it was really good. The server was very friendly and knowledgable. We were a bit concerned about our weird requests (just ordering one drink while waiting for takeout food because they don't do deliveries during the weekends), but he was very understanding and kept checking in on us with more water and information about our food. The pizzas were great, however they were a bit savory to our tastes. The sandwich was amazing, and I would absolutely order again. This location is not dog friendly given they have a full kitchen. I wish their patio is dog friendly so we can bring our puppy along next time. read more
