I have been Keith's patient for the passed 3yrs. I came with chronic back and shoulder pain secondary to over use as I play tennis 6-7x a week plus my dental practice which contributed to that. I would go to my chiro, be fine. and then play tennis and we were back to square one every week . He adjusted my musculoskeletal sytem to support each other and the pain disappeared. I had my first appointment with Keith recently. He spent a full hour and a half addressing each of my concerns (i.e., aching body parts). He did some adjustments and deep tissue work and, by the end of the appointment, I had three very noticeable improvements in my pain levels. 1 - I was able to look down without pain in my neck and shoulders. 2 - I was able to touch my toes without pain in my lower back. 3 - My hip joint (I have bursitis and am supposed to see a surgeon later this week) was no longer stiff and almost completely pain-free. I would recommend Keith to anyone who has pain in their body. So many people who live with daily pain have told me that I'll "get used to it." I refuse to believe I have to live my life in pain, and Keith feels the same way. He also does amazing work on scars...and I have quite a few limiting my range of motion in my arms and legs. This review is from my wife who saw Keith several times for an issue with her hips causing her severe pain: Keith saved me! I was vacuuming around the house and managed to pull my hips out of place (although didn't know what I'd done then, only that it felt like I had done something disastrous). I instantly felt sharp, shooting pain across my low back and fell to the ground. I started working out regularly (3-4 hours/week) about 18 months ago but have been plagued by knee pain off and on in both knees for the last 8 months. My left knee just got progressively worse over the last few weeks and I found myself limping and grimacing while walking. I didn't know what to expect from a physical therapist but thought I'd give one a try before going to the doctor for an MRI. I found that Keith is truly brilliant in the bio-mechanics of the human body and with just a description of the pain and a quick evaluation, he got to work and fixed the problems. The session was painful at times (it included some deep tissue work) but I walked out of there pain free and even worked out that night without pain. He also corrected some issues with my hips and ankles that I wasn't fully aware of. The best part is that I don't need to go back for regular visits. He told me that I'm able to prevent this from occurring again by using a bio-foam roller at home (myofascial release). I purchased one for $25 and Keith gave me a packet of exercises that correspond to the specific muscles needing to be addressed. I highly recommend seeing Keith for any body part that ails you. I am so satisfied with the work they did, that I've decided to add them to Yelp. I had the worst kind of pain 24 hours ago, that I couldn't sleep. Keith is a master of his craft. I have been to EVERY massage place in the Tri-Valley... and most are good for a relaxing massage... BUT Keith made it possible for me to put on my socks w/o wanting to scream. I cannot say enough great things about him. His pricing is a bit high, BUT worth EVERY penny. I went to keith ortiz (The man) via reccomendation from a client of mine, I was suffering what could possibly be the worst case of sciatica in the history of science. i had been to the hospital (percocet and who knows what) and was DESPERATE for relief. Keith came out and (noticing I was in obviuos discomfort) had a really good bedside manner at set me at ease immediatley, he made me no promises but assured me that he could help, and HELP HE DID!. after just 2 visits I was getting the sensation back in my buttocks, leg and foot. Now, with a regimen of inversion table ( I swear these things are life saving) and regular visits to my new best freind Keith, I could say that I am nearly pain free, and have gotten most if not all of the flexibility back that I had in my 20's! Can I give ten stars?!!! I'm really wondering HOW to put into words Keith's effectiveness. He's amazingly knowledgeable about all things musculoskeletal! Being effective comes naturally to him, which is KEY. Add to that his willingness to really HEAR what's going on. His easy-going, very approachable nature, his humor, his cool music, and the entire vibe. I'm a yoga teacher, enthusiast, former dancer/gymnast. Thus, my skeleton is overly flexible, not as strong. I have groin/neck/rib pain. IN ONE TREATMENT, I literally walked down that long hallway when I was leaving and thanking God no one was around because I was moaning in ecstasy! I was referred to Keith over a year ago from a client who swears Keith works miracles. I was hesitant at first, thinking he was similar to a Chiropractor and didn't want to have to rely on visiting him every month just to feel relief from my Sciatica. I decided to give him a try and was so glad I did. He was very thorough and explained what my body was doing and why I was in pain. I was able to walk out of there with ease.
